Its a very Nice terrasse in Kreuzberg , the ambiance is good. Service is excellent but after reeding so many good advices i was very disapointed by the food! The gaspacho was warm ( although it was a very hot day ) mixed with a lot of tobasco and Pepper , way too spicy !! Then my salade niçoise came : Not bad but so poor for 19 euros . For dessert the strawberries with cream were also disapointing …

What a nice restaurant with a great outside seating area. We had a octopus carpaccio with good flavours and a great presentation. The msg. I send them about preparing the bottle of rosé champagne was humbled and they even informed me about the price Just to make sure it was oké. Me and my Lovely girlfriend even toon a dessert which we usually dont do and even that was as good as expected. But the biggest surprise was the Bill. It was cheaper then anticipatid even with the price of the bottle i ordered. All and all a very nice place to go and have dinner. I would deff. Go there again. Make sure u have a reservation and sit outside. Enjoy.

Party of 5, the service was quite trash compared to the fine quality of the food. The staff looked overwhelmed. Our meals took around 1 hour and 30 minutes to come out. Not exactly the best experience for the price you pay. This is my wife’s favorite restaurant, but this was my first time. We are willing to try again in the future.

I like the food and the ambiance but what I love the most is the booking availability even on same day. I’m not a big planner and this is one of my most frequented brunch places. Great bloody Mary’s too. The Mules Frites is wonderful

We were amazed when we paid €23.60 for two 0.2l glasses of Savignon Blanc, which we had been waiting for for ages and which tasted like a €6 wine. Last week we were in Amalfi, Italy and got a bottle for this price

Leuke plek maar arrogant restaurant. Wij bestelden vooraf olijven en brood (omdat hoofdgerechten al zo prijzig zijn). Dat werd niet gebracht en uiteindelijk na herhaaldelijk vragen 1 minuut voor de hoofdgerechten. De goedkoopste fles wijn is 43 euro. Het eten is echt wel lekker maar kleine porties en echt erg hoog geprijsd.

In town for a work conference and I’ve been back here twice just for the Caesar Salad. The ability to take something simple and straightforward and make it absolutely perfect says a lot about their attention to detail. The perfect blend of umami, freshness, acid and crunch is pure magic. Wash it all down with a dry Riesling for the full experience. Special mention to the wonderful team. Warm and welcoming. Big love you all.

It's very pretty but it's mostly expensive and not good quality for the value. Unfortunately disappointed. The Benedict eggs were overcooked, on a stingy piece of bread, too much sauce.

We were looking forward to a beautiful Sunday morning and a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we got a very small table in a cramped corner. Other guests were offered better seats, even though they arrived later. Overall, it's a shame because the location is very nice.

! Hip Star Speak English! No thanks, not again! Unprofessional conditions where guests' wishes are dismissed and then ignored. Only when these are repeated for the third time will they be complied with. Orders are ignored/ignored. Although the portions give the impression that the concept of Lokas would be to make a lot of money. The portions are very manageable, half a piece of toast on top of two eggs in an avocado with 4 halved mini potatoes covered in sauce. And the whole thing for €16. The coffee was super thin. It's actually a shame, if the service and the price-performance ratio were to change, then it would also have potential for Berliners! Beautiful front garden and chic restaurant.

I don't recommend this place. I went there with 2 friends for brunch (because this is one of the few places in Berlin that accepts reservations) and we all had problems with our food: one friend found a cooked bug in her food (which clearly was in the spinach that had not been washed), my bacon was raw and the other friend's eggs were overcooked. There was also big confusion around our order when we had to pay. Under the tent is extremely hot when the weather is good, a fan is needed.

The food is good but for the price and the Name of the Restaurant it should be better: the tagliata served on a hot plate would not have arrived cold at the table. The service is nice.

I come from the catering industry myself and was visiting today with my wife. We were absolutely thrilled by the entire team and the boss's sympathy. The whole team is not only extremely professional, but also incredibly friendly. To eat: I can confidently say that we had some of the best prepared food we have ever tasted! About the ambience: Stylish, cozy and absolutely unique (including the building!!) Conclusion: Absolute recommendation / worth every cent. You are awesome!

The food was very good, but the service and comfort when sitting were quite unsatisfactory. Little things like a water bottle, a spoon or a plate were forgotten and you had to wait a long time for it.

When we arrived at the restaurant on Saturday afternoon, there was just a table available. We then asked a waitress with dark blonde hair if we could sit at the table. She then replied “No” in a very unfriendly tone. Without explanation. After about 5 minutes we spoke to a dark-haired waitress and she suddenly said, "Of course, he's free". The behavior and tone of the dark blonde waitress was very unprofessional and rude. If I hadn't been invited that day, I would have tipped her €0. Starter was good. For the main course there could have been 2 more sticks of asparagus for the price.

The food was absolutely amazing! We tried the croque Madame, the Benedict eggs and the French Toast. 5/5 😍

The food was good for the price, but not outstanding. In contrast, the service was really underwhelming. We waited a long time several times, for example from the time we got a sample of wine until we could actually order something. After waiting 15 minutes to get the menu again, we skipped the bedside table and went to the bar to pay. Unfortunately, the seating in the restaurant is very crowded. We were lucky and had a lovely chat with the women at the next table, but it was as if we were sitting at the same table. If you're having a more private conversation or don't like the people at the next table, it's pretty awkward.

Our visit to Spindler was very nice. The food was great, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was great too. We will definitely come back again!

Food was pretty nice and sitting places were good. However, I felt a bit uncomfortable with the waiter, which kind of put a taint on the whole impression 🥲 I had a feeling he was not happy about something. It’s miraculous how hard it is to find a place with nice service in Berlin 😸

We were here for a company event - great location, great food and, above all, top service. Super nice evening…

The restaurant itself is chic and stylishly decorated, but the noise level inside was almost unbearable. So if you are more sensitive to noise, you should sit outside. The service was… ok. The drinks came after more than half an hour with a lukewarm coffee. Our waitress's smile had completely disappeared after I remembered that we had been waiting for half an hour. And the food… yes. Tasty, but not outstanding enough to justify the price. Overall a high priced mediocre experience.

Short: Given the prices at SPINDLER, I expect a much better experience in many ways. Long: There were two of us in the Spindler and we paid around €140. For water, 2 drinks, starters and main course. As a starter we had the potato and leek soup and the salmon tartare. Nothing wrong with either. Like in many other restaurants, you don't get bread on the table for free in Spindler. Not even with soup. You have to pay €3.50 for “bread and butter”. The bread is delicious, but you get a tiny amount of butter with it, which was also rock hard. All right. For the main course we ordered the entrecôte for two. There is nothing here for €64. Both filling side dishes and sauces cost extra. We ordered medium and we got a fairly cool steak that was clearly rare. Really disappointing for the price. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We sat inside. The service was moderately friendly. The staff stood together in the relatively small dining room and talked about their vacation or sat around at free tables looking at their cell phones.

Subtle isn´t their middle name. The service was polite and correct but not heartfelt or warm, the only actually friendly and warm waitress was on her first day and being mocked by the others for her inexperience, *eyeroll* not nice. Several of us had the steak tartare as an appetizer, excellent quality of meat, but unfortunately partially ruined by harsh flavours, sour comes to mind, overkill, great tartare needs very little extra´s. Someone found sand in their salad. The only bread served is this Dry German style bread, nothing soft or fluffy available. The main courses were „okay“ but for a restaurant in this price category, they need to do better than „okay“. Again harsh flavours, too much salt on the fries (and no normal mayonnaise available), too much salt on the oyster mushroom, overfried manioc (flavour: oil), the duck was chewy. Also in a „gourmet“ restaurant one would expect beer with a higher index/review than König Ludwig. The interior and atmosphere are pleasing, to say something positive. It all started with the reservation and their peculiar corporate policy of having to pay 35 euro for not showing up. No credit card; no reservation. I get why, but it doesn´t feel customer centric nor shows warm hospitality. Amazon without a return option, it should have been a red flag.

Everything to the point. A calm, stylish place with very confident cuisine.

I very rarely write a review, so it is even more important to understand that I am sharing our evening with others and that you can form your own opinion. Conclusion (tldr): Spindler has a very good concept, a nice restaurant and you can tell that a lot of customers come here. In my opinion, you have to know what is worth it and which dishes offer the most bang for your buck. Starter and some dishes are very good, but the dessert is not. I would no longer buy alcohol because of the very high price. We'll be back again, but definitely for something lighter in between. We do 3 courses of fine dining somewhere else. Service (10/10): The service is great. Everything you expect from a service is there. After every course you ask if it was okay. They come to you straight away when you want something and sometimes even advise against dessert unless you are very hungry. Ambience (10/10): Design and the meaning behind it are understood here. You feel comfortable, the design is very well done in terms of color and choice of materials. The corridor to the toilet is also chic and looks like something very upscale. There is also music, it's a good addition to the overall feeling and it's always very pleasant and the volume is appropriate so you can have a relaxed conversation. Food (4/10): We have mixed feelings when it comes to food. Especially when it comes to the price, quantity, quality of the food and the WOW factor. The soups as starters turned out really well, you have to be honest. If you're expecting slightly higher prices anyway, I think the soups are appropriate and taste very good. The main courses are not that great for the quantity you receive. I often expect something from fine dining that really surprises me in a positive way and that I can talk about and remember months later. Unfortunately, even if the dishes taste good and you can appreciate the love in the preparation and the very nice looking plate, they are a little too expensive for the small quantity and you have to ask yourself whether you should order something with them must like french fries or bread. What really shocked us were the desserts. The dessert is often seen as the icing on the cake of a successful evening and you think that you are getting something very special given the prices and the ambience. Unfortunately that wasn't the case this time. Our dessert was a cold piece of pineapple soaked in red wine, with a small piece of ice cream ball and mini rectangles of brownie (which can be ordered separately as its own dessert) for 13 euros. The taste was not unusual, which is what you would expect for the price. We got double the price in a cheaper restaurant, which can also be viewed as fine dining, and we were completely surprised by the taste. The 13 euros wouldn't have been a problem if we continued to talk about dessert after the restaurant stay and felt good about it. Of course there is very tasty food, which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the second visit wasn't as successful. Alcoholic offerings (5/10): Spindler has a very wide range of wines, from less expensive to luxury prices. There is everything from white wine to red wine, rosé and even sparkling wine. However, the price is very daring. If you consider that a bottle of white wine is bought at Spindler for 40 euros, you can find the exact bottle in the discount store for 11 euros and you consider that a restaurant probably deals with purchase prices in the direction of 5-6 euros per bottle, you have to be strong consider whether you want to buy a bottle here. Of course, I understand that as a guest you pay for the service, ingredients, rent and electricity costs. I think it's far too high to charge over 30 euros on bottles given the money spent on food. I would still understand it if the price was around 2.5x as expensive as the purchase price.

This time too, after my visit on February 4th, I can say - cheers to you! Special thanks to Anatol! It has already become modern classic in Berlin! Unbeatable - in EVERY respect! If Berlin - then Spindler! Even in 2023 at the end of April I can only confirm - YOU ARE THE BEST! ✌️

Worst service ever! Was ignored for 20min. Not appropriate for the price level.

During visits to various dining establishments in Berlin, ranging from Michelin star spots to renowned venues, this was the first instance where my order for a tenderloin cooked bleu was executed flawlessly—a feat even Grill Royal, Berlin, could take a cue from. Additionally, the fries were impeccable with their perfect texture, non-greasy feel, and lacked any residual oil taste, embodying the ideal balance of crispy and tender, just as French fries should. The presence of a dedicated chef, who subtly monitors guests' reactions, further elevated the experience. A place I shall revisit many times…

Yes, that was a breakfast ☺️♥️ a really hip shop in a really modern area. The food was good, unfortunately the latte macchiato wasn't hot the second time, but everything else was great. Great service and the menu is attractive and sufficient. Be sure to reserve! I had the Egg Royal, which was amazing! So we'll be back, we really liked it. Keep it up!

Celebrated my birthday here last year in summer, in the outside area and it was lovely.

Very mediocre considering it’s supposed to be a higher end brunch spot. The croque madame which is a very simple dish, was small and boring. Coffee was decent, Bloody Mary was perfect and the rest was so-so. For a ≈40€ brunch I expect more..

Große Erwartungen sind voraus gegangen, aber leider nicht bestätigt worden. Wir haben Filet und Entrecôte bestellt mit etlichen Beilagen, leider war das Fleisch absolut kalt. Daraufhin habe ich es logischerweise bei dem doch stolzen Preis, reklamiert, woraufhin mir einige Minuten später das gleiche Filet gebracht wurde mit der Ansage des Kochs, man könne bei einem Medium Steak nicht erwarten, dass es heiß wäre. 😂 Das ist nun wirklich nicht mein 1. Filet gewesen, was ich gegessen habe und sehr wohl kann ich erwarten, dass es heiß ist. Um die Stimmung nicht vollends in den Keller zu katapultieren, habe ich das nun völlig trockene, well done Filet mit meinen nun auch kalten Beilagen gegessen. Als Entschädigung bekam ich darauf einen Café, what shall I say?! Sorry, ich finde, so sollte man nicht mit seinen Gästen umgehen.

Komme immer wieder gerne hierher, egal ob Frühstück, Brunch, Abendessen, zu zweit oder gerne auch mit kleinen Gruppen. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service, auch Sonderwünsche werden berücksichtigt (wenn man's nicht übertreibt. Die Speisekarte hat für jeden was dabei (vegetarische und vegane optionen ja, glutenfrei gibt's auch) ohne überladen zu sein. Das Essen ist immer sehr gut und die Portionen passend. Atmosphäre ist etwas gehobener aber trotzdem kreuzbergerisch locker. Im Sommer kann man wunderbar draußen sitzen (man denkt irgendwie an Paris), innen ist es gemütlich. Kinder habe ich bisher seltener gesehen (muss ja auch nicht immer sein, ist auch nicht so geräumig für z.B. Kinderwagen und es gibt keine Kinderoptionen), Hunde sind jedoch willkommen (zumindest draußen).

Wir hatten für eine kleine Geburtstagsfeier reserviert und nach 90 Minuten, in denen wir bereits gegessen hatten, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass der Tisch in 30 Minuten weiter reserviert sei. Wir wurden gebeten, an die Bar zu gehen. Es wäre hilfreich gewesen, wenn uns bei der Reservierung mitgeteilt worden wäre, dass der Tisch nur für 2 Stunden zur Verfügung steht. Es ist nicht akzeptabel, dass uns erst nach 90 Minuten gesagt wird, dass der Tisch nur für eine begrenzte Zeit zur Verfügung steht.

Sehr gutes Essen und schönes Ambiente. Unser Kellner Christian war sehr sympathisch und kommunikativ, das darf gern auf den männlichen Kollegen des Abends abfärben. Es wäre auch toll wenn beim servieren erwähnt wird was serviert wird und der Teller nicht nur hingestellt wird.

Wir waren dort zur Martinsgans. Für einen von uns wurde das Hauptgericht auch ganz individuell und unkompliziert ohne Gans umgestaltet. Danke für die schöne Gastfreundschaft, wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Wir hatten dort ein tolles Gänsemenü, das wirklich fantastisch geschmeckt hat. Die Gans war wunderbar zart und perfekt gegart. Leider waren wir etwas unzufrieden mit dem Service. Nur weil uns allen fünf Gästen an der Vorspeise etwas gestört hat und wir das freundlich der Bedienung gesagt haben, bekamen wir bei der Hauptspeise verbal einen Angriff zurück den wir nicht verstanden haben. Wir hatten trotz allem einen wunderbaren Abend weil man einfach Traumhaft dort sitzt.

Planned a large party brunch and we dined on the terrace on a nice autumn Sunday. Service was effective and efficient. They knew how to handle large parties. All the various dishes we had were really good and fairly priced for this experience and quality. Would definitely save this spot as a favorite in Berlin.

Wir haben ein Catering für unseren Büro-Lunch während eines Jahrestreffens angefragt und ich erhielt exzellente Beratung via Email/Phone. Das Mittagessen war ein Hit! Alle waren mega happy mit der Auswahl der Hauptgerichte (Coq au Vin, veg. Gemüsegratin), aber der Caesar-Salat und die Kuchen waren besonders beliebt, und es war mehr als genug von allem da. Das Serviceteam ist sehr freundlich und effizient und der Küchenchef total cool. Alles in allem bin ich glücklich und kann mir gut vorstellen, das zu wiederholen.

Eine Perle! Gemütliches, stilvolles Ambiente. Kleine aber feine Karte und hervorragend zubereitete Speisen! Noch nie so ein gutes Porridge gegessen. Perfekter Ort um auch spät noch zu frühstücken. Gehebon aber trotzdem für alle da und nicht abgehoben!

Ich habe bei euch 1x in meinem Leben etwas getrunken, weil Frau Luna zu voll war und ich habe garantiert niemals die Einwilligung gegeben, mir werbe SMS zu schicken! Denn es hat mir bei euch nicht wirklich gefallen. Egal wer bei euch im Team auf die glorreiche Idee kam sich durch die, vermutlich bei der Coronapandemie hinterlegten, Kontaktdaten zu arbeiten. Lasst es sein.

We celebrated at Spindler with a group of 20 people last week, and the whole experience was fantastic! The communication before the event went super smoothly, and Frank and his team helped us put together menu and drinks. The event was great and everyone commented on how great the food and service was. 100% recommend!

Great food. I can only recommend the tartare and the fries were absolutely great. The staff is really really friendly. They were witty (in a good way) and forthcoming - particularly the French host / waiter. I am giving 4 stars for service not because they were unfriendly (the complete opposite), but as a point of improvement: they should put the cutlery on the table before the food comes and they could check in after a few minutes whether everything is to the guests’ liking. Really more meant as points of improvement than a criticism. And the flat white was too foamy. Their coffee making skills could improve. Other than that I must say that I was positively surprised. And again shout out to the fabulous French waiter/host.

Tolle Location, hervorragender Service und super leckeres essen. - Besser gehts nicht! Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von über 20 Personen da. Unser Kellner hat sich fantastisch um uns gekümmert (ohne auch nur ansatzweise gestresst zu sein) und das Essen kam warm, zur gleichen Zeit, toll angerichtet und war einfach nur lecker! Wir waren uns alle einig - wir kommen gerne wieder! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Gute Auswahl an Vor- und Hauptspeisen, etwas weniger bei den Desserts. Für Vegetarier durchaus geeignet. Preise für die Speisen und meisten Getränke fair, bei einigen Limonaden jedoch etwas erhöht. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, die Räumlichkeiten gänzlich sauber und einladend, das Essen sehr lecker und gut portioniert. Draußen gibt es eine große Terrasse, die ziemlich direkt an einer Straße mit Pflastersteinen liegt, kann also etwas lauter sein.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal zum Brunch hier und es war mal wieder super lecker. Das Ambiente ist toll und die Speisen wirklich qualitativ hochwertig. Die Preise sind jedoch auch entsprechend etwas höher, aber für besondere Anlässe lohnt es sich herzukommen. Einziges: es gibt nur eine Damentoilette. Die zwei ist seit längerem defekt. Daher kann es zu langen Wartezeiten kommen.

Un lugar con gran ambiente, en una zona bonita de Berlín. La comida es francesa pero el menú no es tan amplio. Los platillos estaban muy buenos, los postres no tanto. Me hubiera gustado tener más opciones. La burrata estaba deliciosa.

The restaurant is located in a very charming building right on the canal. They have extensive outdoor seating, though it is right on the road. I went for brunch and found the food exceedingly expensive for what you get. (As an example, a .3L lemonade is €6.9.) Also, the portions are quite small and nothing is exactly what you think. For instance, the pancakes are ultra fluffy, almost Japanese style. The ‘Benedicts’ say they have hollandaise, but it’s more like a butter foam than true hollandaise. Even the bacon was thicker and more like French lardon than true, crispy, breakfast-style bacon. Because of the environment, I’d consider returning to try dinner, but I don’t think I’d come back for brunch.

Wir haben mit mehreren Leuten einen Geburtstag gefeiert und waren super Happy! Nettes Team, toller Service und extra abgestimmte Karte. Gerne wieder :)

Wir hatten unseren Wedding Lunch im Spindler und sind mehr als zufrieden. Das Essen und die Getränke waren spitze und unsere Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und ich kann es nur zu 100% weiterempfehlen!! Danke an das ganze Team für den schönen Tag bei euch.
