Direkt am malerischen Ufer des Landwehrkanals am Paul-Lincke-Ufer in Kreuzberg gelegen, schlägt diese elegante Brasserie gekonnt die Brücke zwischen lässiger Berliner Coolness und raffinierter Gastronomie. Das Risotto war unglaublich! Auch der Wein und der Service waren fantastisch. Die Atmosphäre war entspannend und einladend. Absolut empfehlenswert und ich komme gerne wieder!

Ich schreibe selten Bewertungen, aber in diesem Fall hatte ich wirklich das Bedürfnis, eine zu schreiben. Leider ist der Ort meiner Meinung nach sehr überbewertet. Wir sind in das Restaurant gekommen, um einen Geburtstag mit einem schönen Brunch zu feiern. Leider wurde daraus weder ein besonders schöner noch ein festlicher Moment. Die Preise sind im Verhältnis zur Portionsgröße deutlich zu hoch. Geschmacklich war es ebenfalls nichts Besonderes: Der Croque Madame war etwas trocken und geschmacklich eher unspektakulär, und die zwei Eggs Benedict sahen fast wie eine einzige Portion aus. Das Glas, in dem der Cocktail serviert wurde, hatte einen Riss. Nachdem ein neuer Cocktail gebracht wurde, entstand der Eindruck, dass der Drink einfach in ein anderes, kleineres Glas umgefüllt wurde, anstatt ihn wirklich neu zuzubereiten. Eine Serviette pro Person ist wahrscheinlich irgendeine Berliner Norm. Der Kaffee war bitter. Leider wurde dazu kein Wasser angeboten. Zum Schluss hatten wir zwar noch ein Dessert bestellt, aber es gab keinerlei besondere Präsentation, obwohl bei der Reservierung angegeben war, dass wir einen Geburtstag feiern. Der Service war insgesamt durchschnittlich und nicht besonders freundlich. Der einzige Pluspunkt war das Lächeln der Frau, die abkassiert hat, sowie die schönen Gäste, die eigentlich die Atmosphäre dieses Ortes ausmachen. Leider kann ich dieses Lokal für einen besonderen Anlass nicht empfehlen.

Zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben habe ich hier auf Drängen meiner Freunde Schnecken und Tatar probiert. Sowas ist eigentlich nicht mein Fall; sie waren von den Schnecken begeistert, ich wollte sie nur schnell verschlingen. Das war eine Katastrophe, und das war auch das letzte Mal. Das Tatar bestand aus rohem Fleisch, also war auch das eine Premiere für mich. Meine Empfehlung: Das in Rotwein geschmorte Rindfleisch war wunderbar zart. Das war mein absoluter Favorit. Das Ribeye-Steak war argentinisch, aber durchgebraten bestellt, war es nicht so toll. Die Portionen waren übrigens für den Preis ziemlich klein. Es gab auch Dry-Aged-Fleisch, das besser war als das Ribeye, aber auch hier war die Portion recht klein. Wenn ich nochmal hingehen würde, würde ich das in Rotwein geschmorte Fleisch probieren. Die Atmosphäre ist okay, ein klassisches Lokal, weder umwerfend noch furchtbar. Der San-Sebastian-Käsekuchen war in Ordnung; wie schlecht kann er schon sein?

Das Restaurant Spindler punktet auf jeden Fall mit seiner super Lage und den tollen Außenplätzen, man sitzt dort wirklich gemütlich. Auch das Essen selbst war top: Die Auswahl an französischen Gerichten von der Vor- bis zur Nachspeise passt, und geschmacklich war alles lecker. Allerdings sind die Portionen für die aufgerufenen Preise schon sehr überschaubar. Der Haken an der Sache war für uns das Timing. Für drei Gänge haben wir als Familie mit zwei Jugendlichen am Ende über drei Stunden im Restaurant verbracht. Das hat sich dann doch arg in die Länge gezogen. Der Service wirkte dazu recht distanziert und war mit der Zeit, als es voller wurde, auch spürbar überfordert. Wer Zeit mitbringt und wen lange Wartezeiten nicht stören, wird das gute Essen und das Ambiente sicher genießen. Für uns war der Abend am Ende aber einfach einen Tick zu zäh.

Gutes und Nobles Restaurants. Die Preise sind teuer aber fair. Aber die Essensportionen sind etwas kleiner ausgelegt. Deswegen nicht mit großen Hunger herkommen.

Für mich weiterhin einer der besten Brunch-Spots Berlins. Direkt am Paul-Lincke-Ufer gelegen, wunderschönes klassisches Bistro-Ambiente, hervorragender Kaffee und eine Karte, die deutlich ambitionierter ist als bei vielen gehypten „Instagram-Brunchläden“. Besonders stark finde ich die Qualität der Produkte und die Sorgfalt in der Küche. Ich hatte diesmal das „Something English“: selbstgemachte Cheddar-Jalapeño-Würstchen, White Pudding, richtig guten Bacon, hervorragend gewürzten Portobello-Pilz, hausgemachte Baked Beans und perfekt gebratene Eier. Sehr kräftig, sehr rund, sehr gut abgestimmt. Auch die Eggs Benedict waren hervorragend: knuspriger Bacon, gute Hollandaise, hochwertige Zutaten. Dazu wirklich exzellenter Kaffee – mindestens auf dem Niveau vom „House of Small Wonder“, nur mit noch größerer Auswahl. Der „Burnt Basque Cheesecake“ war lecker, angenehm karamellig und schön cremig, wenn auch für mich nicht ganz so weltbewegend wie sein Ruf. Die hausgemachten Limonaden sind ebenfalls sehr gut, preislich mit acht Euro allerdings schon sportlich. Insgesamt ein Ort, an dem man problemlos mehrere Stunden sitzen kann. Sehr stilvoll, aber nicht unangenehm geschniegelt. Gerade die Lage am Kanal macht das Ganze im Sommer fast schon gefährlich gemütlich.

Ich gebe 3 Sterne, weil das Personal wirklich freundlich und hilfsbereit ist und der Ort sehr schön und gemütlich wirkt. Leider hat mich das Essen nicht überzeugt. Die Eggs Benedict hatten viel zu wenig Brot, während beim Croque Monsieur genau das Gegenteil der Fall war: eindeutig zu viel Brot. Insgesamt waren die Gerichte nichts Besonderes und der Preis ist für die gebotene Qualität definitiv zu hoch.

Ab jetzt mein Geheimtipp! Es war wirklich überzeugend. Wir waren zum Abendessen dort und von Vorspeise bis Nachtisch war jedes einzelne Gericht unglaublich lecker. Zudem war der Service wirklich klasse, immer zuvorkommend, auf Zack und extrem freundlich. Gerne wieder!!

Ich war mit einer Freundin dort, um meinen Geburtstag zu feiern, und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit unserer Wahl. Das Lokal ist wunderschön, der Service war schnell, das Essen lecker und die Getränke köstlich.

Sechzehn Jahre meines Lebens endeten hier an einem warmen Septemberabend, aber so ist das Leben. Das Restaurant besticht durch sein elegantes Ambiente, sowohl drinnen als auch draußen, und alle Gerichte, die ich probiert habe, waren köstlich (Burrata-Salat mit Beeren, Dorade mit Kaviar und Kartoffelsalat, gegrillter Schwertfisch mit Mais). Die Weinkarte ist umfangreich und bietet über ein Dutzend Weine glasweise an. Ein Menü mit Vorspeise, Hauptgang und einem Glas Wein kostet etwa 50 € pro Person.

Ausgezeichnete Speisen und erstklassiger Service, die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Anlass das Richtige! Besonders die Brunchkarte ist sehr zu empfehlen, und auch die Abendkarte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Es war ein sehr schöner Ort mit einer bequemen und warmen sauberen Atmosphäre für ein leckeres Frühstück! Besonders lecker fand ich die Pancakes. Der Service ist wirklich gut und sehr lieb. Einfach super!! Ich bin total überrascht, dass die Bewertung nicht höher ist! Wir waren zum Frühstück/Brunch da und wurden nicht enttäuscht – wir hatten zum Start Cappuccinos, die fantastisch waren. I really enjoyed it; the staff were very friendly, and I had a delicious hamburger. The meat was excellent quality and very flavorful. I was surprised; it had been a long time since I'd had a hamburger like that, and you could tell it was high quality.

The three of us enjoyed a St. Martin's Day goose dinner on our grandson's recommendation. The goose was incredibly tender, served with bread dumplings and baked apple, just like in the old days in East Germany… I'll definitely be back, thank you for this wonderful evening 🥰

My family and I tried the brunch one Sunday, and the atmosphere was fantastic. It had a great coffeehouse feel, and with the conversations in the background, the three hours flew by. We shared dishes from the brunch menu (Eggs Benedict, French toast, and pancakes). They were all delicious, and the eggs were organic, for example. Except for me, since I'm vegan. The avocado tatine was a 10/10. In short: it was a great experience for the family; even my grumpy grandpa enjoyed it. Next time, I'll try the dinner and keep you posted.

I was looking for a nice breakfast spot this afternoon and found this lovely café. Upon asking, we were told we could only sit outside, as all the tables inside were reserved. The coffee was served, but we had to wait a while for the food. The croque monsieur was quite good, but the side salad was heavily seasoned with a spice mix that was unfortunately a bit too strong. Nevertheless, a lovely location and friendly service.

The staff is very friendly, and the food is like a work of art. I gave it four stars because I found the prices a bit high.

It was perfect Sunday brunch experience, very beautiful place and the food was really good!

We went there for brunch on the weekend. There are plenty of dishes to choose from. We had the truffled egg and various versions of Egg Benedict, among others. We also tried the pancakes and French toast as desserts. Everything was delicious. The service staff was also very attentive and friendly. We also tried a few drinks; the freshly squeezed orange juice and the Bellinis/Mimosas are particularly noteworthy. The Espresso Martini and the Bloody Mary were delicious, but a bit strong for our taste. The atmosphere is very pleasant, it's comfortably furnished, and not too loud, even when it's full. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Berlin!

This is our first time here. My nephew picked it. Great location. Great atmosphere. Great outdoor seating, even when it's raining. It's nice, but not. Don't order a cappuccino here! It's poison!

We came here to eat oysters with drinks. The service was a bit overwhelmed, and we had to wave for a while to be noticed. When they received the oysters, they tasted great, but unfortunately, we didn't notice until after eating them that there were live worms on them. You could see the worms moving on the shells and in the ice water. It was horrible to find something like that on your food; the oysters were poorly cleaned or not cleaned at all. When we reported it to the service, all we got was an "oops" and nothing more. I would have expected a bit more for having just given us possible food poisoning.

The Spindler is interestingly decorated and appears very inviting at first glance. Unfortunately, the overall impression didn't quite live up to expectations. As soon as I arrived at the table, I had to wipe the breadcrumbs off the chairs. The seating is quite cramped, even at our larger table. The menu gives the impression of upscale fine dining. The bread and olives were tasty, but the actual dishes lacked refinement. We tried various dishes such as black pudding, fish, steak, poultry, etc., but none of them really impressed us. For an evening that cost over €100 per person, I would have expected a bit more. The service was professional, but seemed a bit distant. Overall, it was just a decent evening, but there are more compelling alternatives for the price. We won't be back.

Schönes Ambiente aber mein Essen und der Service waren leider eine Enttäuschung. Da gibt es weitaus bessere Alternativen in Berlin, die Geschmackserlebnis und ein warmes Ambiente vereinen. KEINE Empfehlung.

Wonderful ambiance on Paul-Linke Ufer. Very friendly and attentive service – in both English and German. Reservations are possible, and, above all, there's no time slot. All of this is a rare occurrence in Berlin these days. The food is also incredibly delicious. Perfect for a slow Sunday – we'd love to come back!

Absolutely loved everything here! The food was amazing and the staff were genuinely sweet and welcoming. Every single dish we tried was delicious, but the real showstopper was their French toast – hands down the best we’ve ever had! Do yourself a favor and don’t leave without ordering it when you visit.

A Memorable Dining Experience at Spindler My hotel recommended Spindler as a top spot for steak in Berlin, and it didn’t disappoint. While the steak was cooked slightly beyond medium rare, it was still flavorful and well-prepared. The standout for me was the buttery mashed potatoes—easily one of the best things I’ve eaten on this trip. A delightful surprise was the pairing of olives with buttered bread, something I hadn’t tried before. It added a unique twist and complemented my side salad beautifully. Another highlight was the roasted garlic clove served alongside the steak—soft, aromatic, and a perfect flavor boost with every bite. I finished the meal with a glass of Zacapa 23, which rounded out the evening perfectly. And the crème brûlée? A touch better than the one I had at Royal Grills—smooth, rich, and beautifully caramelized. If I find myself in Berlin again, I’d definitely return to Spindler. If you do not like cigarette smoke with your meal ask to be seated inside away from the open patio windows.

I had a deeply unsettling experience at Spindler on Saturday. Food was OK, staff was friendly but while trying to find the restroom, I accidentally overheard a very aggressive confrontation between a chef and a woman seated at a table. He was speaking to her in an extremely threatening manner something no guest should ever witness, especially in a full, open restaurant. This was not just unprofessional, it was disturbing. Personal matters should never be handled like that by staff, and no one, especially a woman, should be spoken to in that way. I left immediately and I certainly wouldn’t feel comfortable returning.

Spindler is a lovely place. The seating inside and outside is very comfortable. There aren't many places in Kreuzberg that offer such a terrace atmosphere. The food isn't cheap, but ultimately, it's fair. Everything here is of high quality. Very good bread, excellent wines, and the starters and main courses combine classic flavors from German and French cultures. Always with a fancy twist, a small variation that makes the whole thing culinary interesting. The person responsible for this in the kitchen knows a thing or two. This is a place I really enjoy going to.

Pancakes sucked, tasted like dough. Waited forever for a simple, not very tasty breakfast.

So, I went there based on the good reviews and was very disappointed. 19 euros for a mini sourdough loaf with avocado is a lot. I expected top-notch flavor, but that wasn't the case. We also had to wait 10 minutes before we even got a menu. 30 minutes before a drink even arrived. The food didn't arrive until about 50 minutes later, after a bitter complaint. As compensation, we were promised a coffee and an orange juice. The orange juice ran out by 12:30, and the coffee never arrived. Never again. There are much better breakfast restaurants at a better price.

The best moules frites I've ever eaten, along with wonderful, highly professional yet pleasantly relaxed service, and a wonderful terrace. We'll be back!

Unique! A French brasserie of the highest caliber. It looks good from the outside, but unfortunately, it looks cheap on the inside. The eggs Benedict are very greasy, and the hollandaise sauce is definitely a cheap store-bought version. We were unfortunately very disappointed with the food. Friendly service, but also expensive prices.

It's been my absolute favorite for weekend breakfast for years: Eggs Benedict, French toast, or pancakes are always excellent, and the service is friendly and professional—a perfect, relaxed start to the weekend.

This was a firm favourite for us. We've been several times for dinner and had some of our best meals in Berlin. However, we went last week and the experience was... chaotic. Food was just okay and looked like it had been lying around awhile before making its way to us. The presentation of the entrecôte was very underwhelming and the meat was very fatty (but the tender parts were delicious). Although wait staff were lovely the service was very hit and miss. Things didn't come, we reordered, they still didn't come. We had to get things taken off the bill because of this (items we were charged for but never had). It seemed like no one had ownership over a table (like in most restaurants servers have their sections to look after). We're huge dessert fans but again it was very average, chocolate mouse was gritty and inconsistent, creme brulé was nice, crumble was a bit miserable looking (and tasting). We've since heard there's a new owner... maybe this explains the issues or maybe it was just a bad night? However, we spent over 400 euro so expect a level of quality. To end on a positive note: the cocktails were absolutely amazing.

We only had something to drink. The service and location were nice. The hand soap smelled very good. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the tea, as it was very simply made. All in all, though, we had a lovely time together.

For me, the Spindler is one of the most beautiful breakfast spots in Berlin – stylish, relaxed, and located directly on the picturesque Paul-Lincke-Ufer. I was already impressed by the evening meal, but the breakfast was also impressive across the board. I chose the "Something English" – a creative, high-quality take on the English classic: homemade white pudding, a homemade jalapeño cheddar sausage with visible jalapeño pieces, grilled portobello cheese, beans, two perfectly cooked eggs, a flavorful green oil emulsion, and three thick, crispy slices of bacon. Everything was well thought out, expertly prepared, and exceptionally tasty. The croissant deserves special praise: crispy, buttery, crumbling into wonderful sheets – served with homemade jam and cinnamon butter. Tip: If you're a couple, order one croissant with side dishes and one plain – then it's perfectly sufficient. The cappuccino and cortado are also great – strong, round, and at just the right temperature. My companion had a sandwich that was just as fresh and lovingly prepared. In conclusion: A place to linger, enjoy, and return – breakfast at Spindler isn't just a meal, it's an experience. Highly recommended!

Incredibly sweet waitstaff, but they didn’t seem to have control over the guests and their orders. Some in our party had to wait more than 30 minutes longer for their dishes than those who were served first. Additionally, they forgot several of the dishes and sides we had ordered. The food tasted fine.

Cool location, great service and the food is delicious.

The portion was really a joke. 16 euros for half a toast (really half a toast) with two eggs and some hollandise sauce. Plus 3 potatoes that come from the Shire. Never again!

Nos sentamos durante 40 minutos esperando 5 platos. Después de preguntar qué estaba pasando, llegaron los filetes que estaban fríos, así como los espárragos que se sirven completamente no calientes. La camarera no puso la mesa. cuando nos quejamos de que habíamos estado esperando y la comida estaba fría, discutió y dijo que pediría a la cocina que lo calentara pero el plato ya no sería como pedimos y llevaría tiempo. Ella no se disculpó por un momento. Pagamos por las bebidas y nos fuimos.

We sat in the restaurant for nearly an hour. The food, including the starter and the main course (steaks), arrived after an hour and was cold. The waitress didn’t apologize and even tried to argue Definitely we don’t recommend. .
