Spice India Restaurant in Berlin

🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s better to sleep with empty stomach rather than eating here. Not speaking Indian language. We ordered 3 different kind of dishes but none of them was even satisfying for us. And the quantity was very low in compared to price. overall after paying high prices you will not get 10% quality as well.

I was born in India, but the food is 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 **Disappointing experience** The food was terrible – tasteless and poorly prepared. Shockingly expensive for such poor quality. I won't be back and can't recommend it. Save your money!

Starter Pompadom - 30 minutes to arrive. Onion Bargi - a stack of onion rings, 35 minutes to arrive. Main course - actually veey nice. Service - Slow and disappointing. The chap clearly does not want to be there. Overall - OK. Cheap meal but don't expect quality. You get what you pay for.

Racist people the owner was forcing Indian people to sit in the area near the toilet even though full restaurant was empty and told them leave owner was highly racist food was awful

Very nice restaurant...very nice staff...price/performance very good...food absolutely delicious...as were the cocktails...highly recommended Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka...and Mango Lassi and Mai Thai...we would love to come back🤩

Went there spontaneously for dinner today. Super delicious chicken tikka masala and nan bread. The waiter was also super friendly and funny 👌🏻. Recommend the shop to anyone looking for good Indian cuisine

Only recommended! Was there an hour before closing time after an event. Super friendly staff, very tasty food. Music was a bit loud, but of course it wasn't very crowded at that time, so things like that are more noticeable :)

The food was very tasty and came super quickly. We weren't there until 10:40 p.m. and still got food. If you want good Indian food, you should definitely stop by here. 4 stars because the Garlic Naan was a bit small, but super tasty.

Had a business lunch there. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing: The chai tasted mostly like cow's milk, and I had the impression that the milk was perhaps even bad - it settled at the top while only water remained at the bottom. As someone who loves drinking chai, I have to say this was one of the worst I've ever had. To make matters worse, I also found a hair in it. The palak paneer was tasteless and burnt – a real shame. The music at 1pm was very loud techno... It gave me a headache and didn't fit at all with the atmosphere I would have expected in an Indian restaurant. Unfortunately the food made me sick and I will not visit the restaurant again. Very unfortunate.. _________

My vegetarian lunch menu was okay in terms of taste but not a taste explosion. The soup as a starter was very small but in combination with the main course the amount of food was completely sufficient for lunch. The service was friendly and did a good job, even if it took a while until the first drinks were on the table. Overall, the visit was ok, but in my opinion there are better restaurants in the surrounding area.

I found the food so-so. Nothing special. And it didn't blow me away either. The interior is a bit old, but ok. The service was great and very attentive. But I don't understand the many top movements. I can't confirm that.

Super delicious food, as always. The order was ready for collection much earlier than expected and I was even given a mango lassi :) I can only recommend Spice India!!

Worst indian food I had ever since coming to Berlin. Completely fake, and has no flavor at all, the chicken was so tender and so bland that you almost feel like it was frozen for so long.. awful services and the server was rude. Also very expensive. Felt completely robbed. Don’t waste your time here

If bill is less then 20 euro we pay cash or pay 20% extra of the menu price, even if bill is 17 euro, not logical, nor mentioned clearly anywhere when you enter. Bit disssapointig

Beim Berlinbesuch haben wir an einem Abend entschieden diesen Restaurant zu besuchen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Man fühlte sich wirklich als Gast willkommen. Der Kellner sehr freundlich, gut gelaunt, singend unterwegs- wo trifft man so was in der Gastronomie heutzutage? Ambiente ist sehr authentisch, sauber und einladend. Das Essen ob Vorspeisen, Suppen oder Hauptgerichte sehr lecker, würzig, schmackhaft-Genuss pur. Als ich zur Toilette ging, konnte ich die Küche sehen- der Koch sehr imposant, alles sauber und sortiert wie im OP-Raum und duftet sehr lecker. Nach dem Essen haben wir noch ein Abschiedsgetränk

While visiting Berlin we decided to visit this restaurant one evening. We were welcomed and served very friendly. You really felt welcome as a guest. The waiter was very friendly, in a good mood, singing on the go - where do you find something like that in the restaurant industry these days? Ambiance is very authentic, clean and inviting. The food, whether starters, soups or main courses, was very tasty, spicy, tasty - pure enjoyment. When I went to the toilet, I could see the kitchen - the chef was very impressive, everything was clean and sorted like in an operating room and smelled very delicious. After dinner we received a farewell drink. It was really nice and very tasty - thank you very much for that.

Nothing special, the prices are high, and the flavors insignificant. If you are passing through, go further.

Todo fue maravilloso. Comenzando con la casa encantadora - hecha dips para los poppadoms picantes al plato principal compuesto de sabores distintos y deliciosos. El personal era muy amable. Y resultó que el cocinero y la cocina son Bangladesh. Sin duda volveré la próxima vez que esté en la zona.

Just been to the restaurant for lunch with my wife. Food was below average (ordered vegetarian food - we asked to make the food bit spicy but no requests had been entertained), asked for some spicy souse or green chilies ( we were even willing to pay for this - requested rejected. Waiter was friendly and was even sorry for the service. Food - 1/10 Services - 2/10

I often eat here. In this restaurant the food is very good and the people are very friendly. The Mango Lassi and the Bathura Bread are particularly delicious. You are offered extra rice without being asked. The restaurant deserves more guests.

Attentive staff and tasty food. There are better options for Indian food also in terms of interior but a solid choice if you are in the area. There are other international options in the street so everyone should find something suitable.

Had a very bad experience.. food taste was ok.. Resturent was found unhygienic.. when I took 1st bite it was crunchy nd we found sand in naan.. initially he said M sorry I dnt know abt it but when I said the man who cooked it knows abt it dats y he removed the previous part of the naan.. then he replaced it.. I asked him 2 glass of tap water he said tap water wld b charged also.. I said ok although tap water is free every where bt subsequently he gave us dirty water some dirty thing was present in the water nd then he replaced.. extremely expensive 37.90 euro for 1 chana masala 4 naan nd 2 tea with 2 bottles of water.not recommended.

I have really bad experience with Spice india restaurant. The employe of the restaurant was very rude and he speaks only German but he is Indian but he dont respond to english speaker at all. It is difficult to communicate with them. I did't like the food and the quality is not good also in taste is bad. Mainly this restaurant is not friendly at all.

Had only a drink- they have happy hour on the cocktails. The cocktail was very good, and the staff were very friendly . Thank you very much.🥰

Delicious food (I love Indian food and so far it was the best I've had in Berlin, I've lived here for 8 years and I've tried several Indian restaurants around the city), excellent service! They are always super friendly with my children and my family who visit me frequently from Brazil. Clean and well decorated environment. I always recommend this restaurant to people.

Even though we only arrived shortly after midnight and the kitchen was about to close, we were still warmly welcomed and two mixed starter plates were prepared. The mixed pakoras were delicious and the three different sauces went very well with them. The cocktails were also tasty and let us end the evening relaxed.

Basic standards but higher prices

Visiting Berlin, I came across this restaurant! Good food and drinks! The spectacular moment was when I got my Long Island, it was awesome especially the presentation, it was mind-blowing 🤩 Recommended! Sorry, didn't take any photos of the food!

Had Palak Paneer as Business Lunch - soup and main dish were much too salty, a pity to destroy the taste.

We arrived in Berlin very late and were still given a very friendly welcome. The food was very tasty! Lots of interesting dishes, we could hardly decide. The mixed pakora plate was large, but we still enjoyed the very well-seasoned food afterwards. At the end there was a delicious mango schnapps. Friendly service, great food in a cozy atmosphere, that's how we landed wonderfully in Berlin!

The food tasted very good and the dessert was also a masterpiece. Every 1 star rating is a lie!

Wow, super tasty. In my humble opinion, the best Indian food in Germany so far. The pakora was fried to perfection and the breading was absolutely tasty. The naan bread came to the table super fresh and hot. The Vindaloo lamb was tender and the spiciness was perfect for me. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Food wasn't special. I waited over 30 minutes for my bill because I wanted to pay by card and not the toilets were dirty and the lame place where dinner was at 6 p.m. was completely empty. I wouldn't go back to hiring this store. But you have to pay a lot of money for nothing

The food was mediocre. I ordered dal makhani which was ok. I had to send back salted lassi as it had too much salt and then they brought back with sugar and milk!!! I could not finish it. Had to return Naan as it was undercooked/kaccha! And they only accept cash so had to go and find an atm at the end of this horrible experience…

they should rename their restaurant to "NON-SPICY INDIA". they dont make authentic indian food. just food for the german customers without any actual taste.

Its an Indian restraunt run by a Bangladesh native hence the flavours for us didnt hit the exact notes that we are used to in India. Secondly, Malai kofta was Sour/Khatta meaning it was Stale. The server was nice and replaced the stale dish however to our suprise the person who was incharge wasnt pleasant, came to argue/defend their dish.He seemed visually unhappy/irritated with the waiter that our dish was replaced. All in all, wouldnt recommend.

One of our regular Indians in Berlin. The food is super tasty, the portions are large and the staff is super friendly and attentive. We therefore eat here regularly. We eat vegan and vegan eating is possible here without any problems ☺️. Gluten-free and vegan are also no problem (my wife has celiac disease). I can therefore only recommend the restaurant to you ☺️.

Good lunch offer with small soup and main course for €7.5-9. Unfortunately the drinks are quite expensive.

Really good food. Closest I have found to Indian food. We ordered the Prawn Masala and the gravy consistency as well as taste was much better than most other restaurants in Berlin. We also got free schnapps at the end of our meal by the super friendly owner and server. 100% would recommend. The naan had a generous helping of butter cheese as well as garlic. Amazingly delicious!

I've been ordering here for years and always enjoy eating in the restaurant. My Indian friend says the food is authentic and she hasn't said that about any other Indian restaurant we've visited. The service is just as good as the food and you feel like you're in good hands!

2 days back I ordered the Chicken tandoori and Biryani. The Chicken tandoori was not at all cooked properly, they didn’t even clean that chicken properly and it’s made me sick. I will 100% complaint this restaurant to food safety department. I would definitely recommend anyone stay away from this restaurant.

This place is the defination of how bad butter chicken can be. I have ordered butter chicken with indian spicy but it was extremely pale. Curry was not cooked sufficiently. We were unable to eat it and ordered from another restaurant. Eventually next day we cooked it again with more spices. Dal makhani was also below average. Whole food experience was really bad and I won’t recommend this place to anyone.

I went here alone for a weekday lunch. The chicken korma I had was quite bland and the garlic nan was undercooked. The staff was very unfriendly and turned even more sour when I wanted to pay by credit card. Not recommended

Forced to write this review, really it’s one of the worst restaurants I have ever visited really didn’t wish to write negative for some one but really than I felt the owner should realise their mistakes and improve . To start with I ordered veg biryani and I was served with non veg briyani and I was lucky to make out before even to start eating but than too the owner was so ignorant about all this issue untill the end too .also I had to ask for my drinks couple of times to be serve really poor service Please for all vegetarians plz do think before to make your choice . Also I felt they could not handle their customers at to the mark and was all hay wire all thru . Plz be professional to run a restaurant and give importance to your clients

Wie gewohnt ein einziger Genuss. In anderen Landesküchen mag schon mal ein Hauch an speziellem Geschmack fehlen - im Spice India nicht. Sowohl die kleineren Gerichte wie die Hauptgerichte glänzen geradezu. Als Gast vor Ort und ebenso als Catering-Nutzer für größere Bestellungen waren wir stets vollends zufrieden. Und wenn der Chef zugegen ist, verbreitet er eine besondere Art der Willkommenheit und Heiterkeit. Hervorragende Gastronomie im Herzen von Berlins Westteil! Weiter so bitte!

Hervorragendes Essen, zwei Vorspeisen und vier Hauptspeisen. Von vegan über vegetarisch bis hin zu verschiedenen Fleischgerichten alles dabei. Tolles Personal und schönes Ambiente :)

Das Essen war einfach lecker und toll gewürzt. So sollte indisches Essen schmecken. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und ruhig. Wir waren im Seitenraum. Klare Weiterempfehlung.
