Pleasant and very contemporary setting!

We ate at Spencer & Hill restaurant today. The food itself was fine, but the service was unfortunately very disappointing. I ordered two glasses of red wine along with the meal. When my husband went to pay, the waiter immediately came to the table with the card reader. My husband paid €189.40. When I heard the amount, I knew immediately that something was wrong—it was far too expensive. The bill revealed that the waiter had charged for two bottles of wine instead of two glasses, a difference of €58. When I asked for the receipt and confronted him about it, he said it was "an oversight." However, there was no apology; on the contrary, the waiter reacted rudely and disrespectfully. My husband even felt compelled to call the police. Only then did we receive a refund. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. In my opinion, the waiter knew exactly what he was doing. I want to warn other guests and sincerely hope that management reads this review and takes appropriate action. Something like this shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this caliber.

Terrible, still couldn't order after half an hour

It was incredibly busy, and you're really crammed together. It took 10 minutes to be seated (we waited at the door), and even when we were seated, we had to wait a really long time. The people who arrived later and sat next to us were served even before us. After another 20 minutes of waiting, we just walked out. Everyone was being served except us, and we're definitely not strangers.

Food mediocre, quality doesn't match the price, service very friendly, few separate seating options.

The restaurant's good rating, which was the reason for our reservation, unfortunately didn't live up to expectations today. Drinks were mixed up, there were long waits, and the tables were extremely close together. Sadly, this was our first and last visit. For this level of service, it was simply too expensive.

Great restaurant, the food was good! The service was even better! The ambiance is new and well-maintained.

The ambiance is very stylish, and the location near Rudolphplatz is good. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. My beef fillet (ordered medium) was completely well-done. When I commented, "That wasn't medium at all," in response to the question, "How did it taste?", I was simply brushed aside with, "But I told the kitchen it was medium." A shame.

The waiter behaved as if it was a punishment to work there. The service was extremely slow. And I mean extremely. We only ordered soup and coffee and waited over 20 mins. The place looks posh from inside but that’s where the upside ends. We waited 10 mins in our coats before we left as waiter was nowhere to be found. If he’s more preoccupied elsewhere, it’s not a job for him. If he’s got a time to chase after guests which he neglected, he should have the time to attend to tables. I find it hard to believe you’re making tomato soup from scratch to every order. We have other places to be rather than waiting for a waiter who hates his customers and hates the job. I wish you good fortune.

The exclusive website has nothing to do with reality. High-end dishes like black tiger prawns, fritto misto (fried seafood), beef tartare, etc., are listed on the online menu, but not on the menu in the restaurant. Making a reservation online worked perfectly, but upon our arrival, the server had to push tables together. That's not what you call professional. Freshly tapped Kölsch beer? Not a chance. It's a shame, as our guests were looking forward to high-quality Italian cuisine and service, as promised online.

We've been happy customers for years, but today's visit was truly appalling. The service was extremely poor – no one paid any attention to us, no one asked if everything was alright, and they even mixed up the sauces. My entrecôte tasted badly spoiled, the pepper sauce was sour and fishy, ​​and the mashed potatoes were clearly bad – they were sour. The mashed potatoes were replaced, but everything – including the spoiled food – was charged in full. No one asked why my plate was returned full, and there was no apology, no interest whatsoever, and no customer service. Now I'm in bed with stomach problems and heavily pregnant. It's outrageous! The menu was also very disappointing – it looks much more varied and high-quality on the website. In person, there was a limited selection and extremely high prices that are absolutely unjustified for the quality. This restaurant used to be really good, but now it's just a complete disappointment. We certainly won't be coming back.

The most pretentious, overpriced place I’ve been. The service was slow, the staff was overwhelmed even before it filled up, the pizza was worse than Ja quality, the tiramisu was just a big block of sugary whipped cream, and one of the drinks was served with an orange slice that was literally molding. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life and none of us will ever come back. It’s clear why this was the only place we could find a table for 8 on short notice on a Friday night, and I expect it to be closed before this time next year.

Waited for over an hour for our order, staff did not even glance at our table the entire time 'or give any indication of long wait times. We had our Christmas party there, paid 750 euros, and everything took a very, very long time. The waiter was overwhelmed with everything. Never again!

The concept itself is cool: eat first, then party. However, the execution is disastrous. Having to eat during the party, because the food took an hour to arrive, and not being able to have a conversation because the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself speak, was simply too much for me. To top it all off, the service was chaotic and unfriendly. The food itself was okay (the noodles were still relatively warm, the burger wasn't completely soggy, and the 200g steak was almost filling), but the prices were too high. Next time, I'd rather go to the rat-infested Burger King next door.

Unfortunately, I can't agree with most of the reviews here. The drinks were very tasty, and while the service was sometimes a bit slow, it was always super friendly. The food, however, was more than disappointing. We tried a variety of dishes, including pizza, pasta, salads, and steaks. The salad was mediocre, but the steaks were delicious. In my opinion, the steaks were the only thing I would order again. The pizza and pasta were unfortunately not good at all. I had the Tagliatelle Tarfufo, and it was inedible. So, if I were to come again, it would only be for the drinks and maybe the entrecôte.

Nice place, good food and great service

We're visiting Cologne and came on a Saturday because of the great reviews and photos. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. We were given a table for two and were told we had 1.5 hours. The table wobbled and was only 10 cm away from the neighboring table, even though there were plenty of free seats. This was very uncomfortable for the other couple and for us as well. Our table was in the aisle directly by the restrooms and food counter, so people were constantly walking past us or cutting bread. It wasn't very pleasant to sit there. The wine rack needs to be cleaned, and it wasn't very hygienic that the waiters were leaning over the prepared food at the food counter to read the order slip. People should also make sure to wear a ponytail if they have long hair; nobody likes other people's hair in their food! They didn't provide a pizza knife for our pizza, and they didn't provide a spoon for the pasta dish either. The pizza was okay, but there are better ones. The pasta Alfredo was a disappointment; it came with two tiny pieces of meat and three pieces of mushroom, and then some weird "broccoli sprinkles" on top.

We were there with a larger company group, so we had a variety of dishes at the table. My starter (beef carpaccio) was buried under Parmesan cheese, nothing special in terms of taste. The entrecôte was also cooked to perfection (it would have been perfect), but the meat was flabby and poorly sliced, making it a bitter disappointment for the €30 price tag. The herb butter I ordered with it was tasteless and boring (it seemed like a mass-produced item from a wholesaler). The dip for the potatoes was supposed to be a chili-peanut dip, but it tasted like the usual red/orange sauce that every pasta shop serves. Only the Nutella pizza for dessert was convincing, but it didn't save the rest (colleagues had burgers with a run-of-the-mill bun, which also tasted like it was mass-produced, and the cheese seemed like your average toasted cheese). For the price, the food offered was completely out of line, which is very unfortunate. We were sitting by the door, and the air conditioning was turned up full blast. Our question about whether it could be changed was met with "I'll try." The next waiter then said it was "coming from outside" (the door was closed, the plant swaying as if in the wind). Orders at our table were forgotten (dessert), and the kitchen was already closed. The restaurant desperately wants to be a trendy spot, the food was far from convincing, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Unfortunately, at this price, I wouldn't recommend it.

- The truffles on the pizza were tasteless, probably too old. A shame, considering the pizza was quite expensive. - The gin and tonic was so mixed that it tasted almost like tonic water. There was no hint of mint in the glass, as stated on the menu. - The steak salad wasn't fresh. - The staff seemed overwhelmed and thus didn't live up to the restaurant's standards. - A positive point: the location looks nice. Conclusion: If everything cost half as much, probably no one would complain. However, when premium prices are charged, you can expect premium food.

Delicious food. There were a few hiccups with the order, but after that, everything was fine.

We had our company party there. The service was very attentive, but the food took a very long time; when some people got their main course, others didn't even have their starter. We waited forever for drinks... then we were all asked to change seats because the back part had suddenly been turned over to the influencer party. At times, people pushed next to us while some of us were still eating, which was completely disrespectful. When we had to move, some of our colleagues didn't even have a seat! I had the beef fillet, which was very dry and the fries were hard like briquettes. The starter and dessert were great. I wouldn't even go there privately again.

Italienischer kann man nur in Italien Essen. Große Liebe zum Detail beim Essen und bei der Location und auch ein guter Service machen dies zu meinem neuen Lieblingslokal. Denn egal was ich probierte, es war toll. Die Preise sind bezahlbar. Die Pizza ist hauchdünn, der Belag schmeckt toll, nur leider ist sie nicht so knusprig, wie ich es gerne habe. Die Salsicia (die 1kg Portion!!) wird mit drei Saucen geliefert und eignet sich prima als Vorspeise für eine Gruppe. Der Carpaccio war optisch und geschmacklich das beste in Lifetime. Die Lasagne mit den hauchdünnen Teigplatten und einem kleinen Klecks Pesto an der Seite ist für mich ein Klassiker. Das Stubenküken, das ich mal probieren durfte, ist auch eine Empfehlung wert. Toll finde ich auch, dass an jedem Platz Olivenöl, Balsamico etc. am Platz steht. Und am Brot wird auch nicht gespart. Die Musik ist nicht zu laut. Und wenn mal irgendwas nicht perfekt war, so kümmerte sich der Service schnell darum. Und als Entschädigung gab es z.B. einen Limoncello für alle. Man geht auf jeden Fall immer mit einem guten Gefühl nach Hause.

We went there for a steak dinner. We had the entrecôte with grilled vegetables. It was okay, but nothing more. The usual diverse flavors of an entrecôte were unfortunately missing. The service was very friendly and prompt. The ambiance inside was also pleasant. Unfortunately, the door was open, and the noise from the ring with all its ramifications was very intrusive. I wouldn't repeat.

Spencer & Hill on Hohenzollern Ring is a modern restaurant serving Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, and antipasti. Restrooms are located in the basement. The service is very friendly and helpful. Therefore, we give it 5 stars.

Pleasant atmosphere, very friendly, proactive, and courteous service. The food tasted authentic Italian, and the wait time was short. All in all, a visit here is highly recommended.

This is my first time here, the pizza is very tasty, the place is also okay, I am not satisfied with the service, they changed the ingredient of my pizza from cream to currants without informing me in advance.

Very nice establishment, with very good service

Beware of rip-offs! We were there this evening as part of a large group. They had a 2-for-1 offer on all cocktails. Two of us ordered a Cuba Libre, which was also listed under "cocktails" on the menu. When we checked out, the waiter claimed that the Cuba Libre wasn't included in the cocktails and that we had to pay the regular price of €13.50 for both drinks. After we questioned the waiter's claim, he became very nervous. Nevertheless, he insisted that the offer wasn't valid. So please be careful and clarify such things in advance...

Upon entering, you're pleasantly impressed by the ambiance. The service was very courteous, attentive, and quick. However, the menus for the four of us were all dirty and very worn. The food was good, but unfortunately, it was missing that certain something. The tableware might need to be reconsidered given the ambiance. It matches the worn menus, but not the ambiance. Otherwise, it was a lovely evening, thanks in part to the service.

Cologne offers many authentic Italian spots, so it's fair to wonder if the food here reaches that same level. The food was good, but they didn't have carbonara pasta, which I find quite odd considering it's an Italian restaurant. The Bolognese was good, but the pasta with cream seemed very basic. Another strange detail I didn't like is that when you pay by card, they force you to leave a tip. One nice thing is that they bring you bread and olives as a starter.

Despite the high price, the entrecôte is sometimes tough and has thick veins of fat, and the fillet arrives half-cold. I ordered a light beer and got a pilsner in a Warsteiner glass. Even if it had been a light beer, the Warsteiner glass was pretentious. The truffle pizza tastes of nothing because the truffles don't taste of anything; it's just a €20 margarita. I didn't finish my meal; the crust was heavy and burnt, I can make it better myself. Service: Disastrous, completely overwhelmed by a group of 20 people. We didn't eat together, but one after the other. My appetizer was completely forgotten; attentive service would have noticed that my table was empty while everyone else was eating. I had to ask, and then there was no small extra, the mishap. €40 for a fillet, but no cucumber slice for a Moscow mule, ridiculous. 250g is listed on the menu as the standard size for a fillet, but according to the waiter, they only offer 200 or 300 grams, huh? The pizza had been forgotten toppings, and I had to think again. The mashed potatoes weren't mashed, but pureed with a blender; you could drink them. Ordered four things, and there was something wrong with all four. Pilsner instead of Helles, pizza bread forgotten, no topping on the pizza, not a single cucumber in the entire house for a mule. Ambience: Glasses dirty, cutlery dirty, some plates scratched or even chipped at the edges. All fancy and upper-middle-range prices, but no class, no style. You can't offer that if you consider yourself an upscale restaurant. The waitress brings the cards, doesn't deal them, but simply places 40 cards on the table (that's enough), and you can deal them yourself. The tables are small, but the cards still sit there for quite a while. Conclusion: I strongly advise against this. You can find much better, much cheaper food in the area.

We were there on a Saturday evening – it was very busy, so we had to wait a bit longer for our food, but that was perfectly fine. The Thai chicken salad and carpaccio as starters were great, as were the pizza bianco (something different!) and the entrecôte as main courses. Everything was delicious; the evening was well worth it. We'd love to come back!

The ambiance is cozy, modern, and at the same time pleasantly casual – you immediately feel at home. The food was delicious, especially the pasta, which was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. The portions were also perfectly adequate. It's definitely good value for money, and I'd be happy to come back!

The restaurant didn’t have space for us though we had a reservation the system doesn’t update.

We were a party of 80 people.. Arrived at 7pm.. The appetizers came quickly, but random what you got on the table.. The main courses lasted almost 2 hours from the first to the last... The appetizers were ok, but the main courses had the impression of being busy.. So if you are a smaller party, it may be an ok place to eat.. If you are a larger group, find another place...

Big disappointment at the bachelorette party – the price-performance ratio is completely out of whack We were looking forward to a special evening as part of a bachelorette party, but were unfortunately very disappointed. Even the appetizer – a "crispy burrata roll" – was a disappointment. Instead of burrata, the roll consisted almost entirely of rice, and that for a whopping €18. The main course was also disappointing: The octopus carbonara tasted more like lightly salted pasta water, and the octopus was barely visible or even present in the taste. Absolutely disappointing for €19. When we complained, the waitress promised to look into it – but there was no response, and the bill was charged in full. The passion fruit spritzer tasted more like sparkling water with a hint of passion fruit – also disappointing. The location is beautiful, but that alone doesn't justify the completely exorbitant prices for this quality. What a shame – we definitely won’t be coming back.

We were really looking forward to the evening, but the restaurant disappointed in several ways. The food itself was also disappointing: The Paccheri Octopus (Carbonara) was simply white pasta dipped in pasta water. We were there last night to celebrate a bachelorette party. Unfortunately it took a very long time for our food order to be taken and again for the food to arrive. The waitresses were totally stressed because they were understaffed. The food tasted pretty good, but unfortunately it wasn't anything special. Price-performance wasn't right. There was no reaction at all to hair in the food. We liked the atmosphere. Until a group sat down at the table behind us. You sat back to back and had hardly any room to move.

I regretted ordering pizza with the first bite, the pizza dough was soggy and tasted like cardboard, the cheese was at most dairy product and not even a good one, it's fair to say that mozzarella is mentioned on the menu, every frozen pizza with real mozzarella on top tastes better. Waitresses were nice yet the best thing about this place. Even Pakistanis make better pizza. Never again

Great atmosphere and delicious food! The food and the ambience in the shop are really beautiful - very tastefully decorated and cozy. On Saturday evening a DJ plays, which creates a really good atmosphere. The music was great and fit the atmosphere perfectly. However, since it was a Saturday, you could tell that the staff was pretty busy. The service was a bit stressed and unfortunately individual drink orders were lost or arrived late. Still a lovely evening – we’d love to come back! Kind regards from Switzerland

The food was okay and we didn't have to wait long for it, although unfortunately the tomatoes were forgotten on my pizza. The service was very friendly and accommodating, but quite disorganized. Management should perhaps reconsider whether it makes sense to hire a receptionist who actually has next to nothing to do and just chats with other employees and looks around while the waiters try to do 5 things at the same time. So we had to wait almost 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table because no one seemed to feel responsible, no glasses were brought with the beer and no salt and pepper with the food. There is definitely room for improvement. :)

Don't go! After waiting more than 1.5 hours, we only received our 2 starters at 10:30 PM. And the starters we got were really outrageous, 5 tough fried small shrimps for €18. Then our receipt was also incorrect. Dishes counted twice.

I don't know what was going on, but it was really bad. Full house, hardly any staff and we had to wait 1.5 hours for our starters. This company has very good online marketing, but unfortunately they cannot make this happen. Food was really bad, we canceled our main course and then the receipt was completely wrong.

Insgesamt qualitative schlecht, 12.04.2025 Rinderfilet mittelmäßig, keine 28€ wert und null Beilagen dazu, höchstens paar abgelaufene Salatblätter auf dem Teller Trüffelpommes 8€, Geschmack wie an der Pommes Bude, 2 sehr dünne Scheiben Trüffel drauf. Service aufgesetzte Freundlichkeit Preise überhöht Waren zu letzt vor 2 Jahren dort, aktuell hat die Qualität stark abgenommen aber Preise erhöht. Wenn nochmal Gäste oder Freunde zu Besuch sind, würde ich ein großen Bogen um diesen Laden machen.

Where should I start..?! - Price and performance at Spencer & Hill are not in proportion. We're happy to pay 25 euros for pasta if the quality is right. My friend, who was actually full after every meal, was still hungry after the pasta dish. -Cocktails: the mojito didn't taste like it. We complained about it. The waitress said people often complain about it (wouldn't be the best choice) and needed us to recommend “Caipirinha” but it tasted just as stupid. -The problem with the wine was that in the menu 0.15 was sold for a cheaper price but was billed at an expensive price and 0.2 -Pizza was mediocre at best We were really served. We don't know how these good reviews come about. In the In general the location was quite nice. But then I'd rather go a little further to Wilma's or sit in the park

Sorry but I just stopped by here on a Tuesday evening! The waiter alone and the boss shooting videos. The store was full and he was completely overwhelmed. Well he had to do the bar and service himself.. I waited 10 minutes for a glass of Prosecco and then my request "on ice and in a wine glass" was simply ignored!! My meal was rated as a 1 and 2 course! I had a salad and pasta sorry I want to eat together! Bread was completely forgotten in advance and well the salad tasted absolutely nothing like Caesar dressing!! (Bland and no taste) I expect more than salty meat and no taste. The pasta was overcooked and the truffle was missing!! The sauce was salty and tasteless. I paid €52 and my complaints were not addressed! Sorry, but unfortunately that doesn't work!

A really cool place. A completely different kind of Italian. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the food is incredibly delicious (we were with 11 people and everyone loved it), great music. Great wine recommendations and really attentive service! Definitely recommended. I'd be happy to come back.

After almost two hours of waiting the food still wasn't there, we canceled our order and ate a currywurst with fries around the corner. One star for the friendly but overwhelmed service.

Went there yesterday with a small group. Initially, the table was reserved for 11 people, but it was only suitable for 8. We squeezed in 10 of us. It was okay. It took 20 minutes to order. Drinks took 45 minutes. After no food arrived after 90 minutes and the music became unbearably loud, half the group left. The rest of us at least had almost all our food after another 20 minutes. Only the pizza took another 15 minutes and was more cold than lukewarm. My arrabiata was too spicy and overpowered everything else. (Yes, it can be spicy. But only enough so you can taste the rest.) At least my food was nice and hot. The best part was the service, although it could have been a bit more attentive. I can only recommend finding another restaurant.

Underground. Reservation wasted (not enough space for the booked number of guests). Waiting time for drinks and food was unbearably long - another part of our group had to leave the restaurant without getting anything to eat due to scheduling reasons. The pizza we ordered (!) was still not there after almost 2 hours, and unfortunately there was no announcement that it might take a little longer in the kitchen. The drinks consumed during the waiting time were completely collected without batting an eyelid. Awkward. At least our waiter was friendly, but that was the only bright spot. The atmosphere was characterized by cramped seating, dim lighting and music that was way too loud. I can only advise against it.

It smelled so fishy it made my eyes water. The clothes all stank. The music was too loud that the person sitting next to him could not be heard. The service was very long, we waited 30+ minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. When we arrived, the table was not prepared, although we had a reservation several weeks in advance. The waiters didn't come. It’s very cramped, there’s nowhere to dance, there’s nothing to breathe. I don't recommend it.

Six of us were there for dinner on Friday evening. Considering the location on the Ring, we were more than pleasantly surprised. We received a friendly welcome at the entrance, and the reservation worked out perfectly. A great atmosphere, but the chairs aren't great if you're spending three hours there. But that's complaining at a high level 🤣 The service is very friendly and attentive. They apologized a thousand times that the bottle of wine was corked and bought us another round of espresso. The kitchen had a great presentation of the dishes, and the taste was impeccable. When you see and know other places, the prices are reasonable. We'll be happy to come back.

The service is friendly and attentive, but you should allow plenty of time, as the food comes out of the kitchen very slowly. We ordered both an appetizer and a main course – had we known in advance how long it would take, we probably would have opted for just the main course. It's a shame, because the food was quite tasty. However, the prices are significantly too high in my opinion: A plate of spaghetti with meat sauce costs €15, and the version with guanciale costs €16 – I find that overpriced for a portion of pasta. A glass of wine for €10 and a bottle of mineral water for €7.50 are also quite expensive. For two people, we paid a total of €92 – without steak or other high-quality meat dishes. For what we got, the value for money wasn't convincing.

Pretty overrated for what it is. The food was good, service not great and atmosphere underwhelming. Nice for an Italian place but too expensive for what it is.

Reserved online for 14 people but didn't get a confirmation by email, then called and got the reservation confirmed, then went there on that day with 14 people and then we found out that there was no reservation! Well, after a bit of back and forth we finally got a seat, the waitress was quite nice but totally overwhelmed, before we ordered we were given 4 slices of bread for 14 people! Almost as a bridge until the order came. After dinner we wanted to order dessert but we were told that it wasn't possible and that we had to leave now!!!! Never go there again!

It is impossible to reach out to this place if you want to make a reservation. No one ever picks up the phone. There is an online form, but the inability to ask specifying questions is frustrating. The service and the food was good, but Spencer and hills does not work until 3 am. They close at 12 am and send their guests to the club next door -vanity, which is a piece of trash and has a whole different vibe. Regardless of the 14% tip I left, the waiter added some positions to the bill that were not supposed to be there, when we called him out on it, the staff tried to resolve the situation, but the experienced was spoilt at that point by multiple factors. Can recommend for a dinner because the food was good, but that’s it. I will not go back there again, as the waiters will try to fool You.

I'll be honest, I have no criticism. Everything was great, food, service and atmosphere. Picked up quickly even though it was pretty full, the food was great and so was the atmosphere. We didn't get a drinks menu but we didn't point it out because we already knew what we were drinking anyway. I would definitely go there again

Waited for food 2 and meat wasn't ready, was raw. The waitress said the food didn't taste good, she just said "I'm sorry". Pure disappointment

Very tasty, very nice, very professional and polite. Cozy and pleasant. It is a “slow food” category. Please allow enough time. We only had 80 minutes and it was close. We waited quite a long time for pizza. But the store was full. Otherwise, thank you very much and always happy again!

We ate there with several people when the restaurant was relatively empty The bar and service were very nice, but the food wasn't good The medium fillets (5 pieces) we ordered were not medium, the truffle fries were very wobbly and one pizza was even missing ingredients We won't be coming back

A restaurant I particularly enjoy visiting because, in my opinion, it serves the best truffle pasta. Unfortunately, the carpaccio is no longer served as a side dish and must be ordered separately. Since the portion of pasta is already very generous, an additional order of carpaccio would often be too much. I would therefore very much like the earlier combination.

We reserved a table as a group and called to say we would be there a quarter of an hour later. The employee told us that this was not a problem. When we got there our table was simply passed on. The staff was extremely unfriendly, especially the bouncer. He became disrespectful, abusive and even sexist. Never again!!

Been there again after a long time. Map, as usual, small and fine. Purely Italian. Unfortunately, price/performance suffered from Corona and inflation. Pizzas have shrunk while prices have risen. Drinks in particular have their price. Nevertheless, the pizza was very tasty and well topped.

Pure disappointment!! Never again. Waited an hour for the food then the wrong one came and then another hour passed and the food still wasn't there... and finally the wrong bill was given by other guests. More appearance than reality!!!

Very tasty food, friendly & professional service and a stylishly furnished, cozy restaurant. However, the tagliolini with truffle smelled very strongly of artificial truffle aroma.

Yesterday we went to the trendy trendy restaurant in Cologne for the first time. We made the reservation almost three weeks in advance, so everything went smoothly. The food was really outstanding – absolutely delicious! However, we found the service a bit tiring, as it felt like she asked every 5-10 minutes whether everything was OK. It seemed to us like she was trying to get us to pay and leave as quickly as possible - probably because the restaurant was so busy. There is a star deduction for this. Unfortunately another star is lost because the restaurant was far too full. The space was extremely tight, both next to us and behind us, as many guests were packed into a small space. In addition, despite having a reservation, you are only allowed to stay for two hours, which also bothered us. However, the atmosphere was nice and we liked it.
