Portofino Ristorante in Köln

Das wir an einem Samstagabend, bei dieser guten Lage spontan, ohne lange Wartezeiten einen Tisch bekommen haben hätte uns stutzig machen müssen. Schon bei der Getränkebestellung - Aperol Spritz wurden wir vom Servicepersonal fragend angeschaut. Erst nach Rücksprache mit dem Chef konnte die Bestellung final aufgenommen werden. Für uns, bei einem absoluten In-Getränk nicht nachvollziehbar. Die restlichen Getränke (Spezi & Apfelschorle) wurden nach den Speisen serviert. Die Nudeln (Penne Napoli) wurden, nach nicht einmal 5 Minuten, eiskalt und verkocht serviert. Das spricht für uns nicht für frische Küche. Pizza war ok. Kritik wurde vom Restaurant nicht akzeptiert. Als wir das Restaurant bereits verlassen haben, wurde uns noch hinterher gerufen, wir sollen bitte nie wieder kommen. Alles in allem ein sehr unprofessionelles Verhalten. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit nicht wieder. Auf unsere Bewertungen Googlebewertung wurden seitens des Restaurants mit Falschaussagen geantwortet. Inhaber sind absolut nicht Kritikfähig. Wir haben die Kritik sehr sachlich geäußert.

Das Essen kam leider kalt und war geschmacklich sehr schlecht (einfache Nudeln mit Tomatensoße). Die Nudeln waren verkocht und eiskalt, das Essen kam 5 Minuten nach Bestellung - frisch gekochtes Essen ist etwas anderes. Nachdem das Servicepersonal darauf hingewiesen wurde, wurde diskutiert und behauptet, dass das nicht stimmen würde. Das Essen wurde am Ende zwar nicht berechnet, aber mit folgendem Wortlaut verabschiedet: „Chef sagt kommen Sie nie wieder“. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren wir aus dem Lokal bereits draußen.

Amazing place with delicious pizza

Waited over an hour for the food. Tables were constantly being moved around and served above us and other guests. When the food finally came, a pizza was served instead of the pasta we had ordered. Unfortunately, unlike what was described here in the reviews, the food was really nothing special and of rather poor quality: a lot of cheese, a lot of cream and little vegetables and meat. Price-performance ratio is absolutely disproportionate, we paid over €50 for a glass of the cheapest wine, two cokes and two main courses... at the tables around us, some people waited even longer for their food and instead of being insightful they discussed things with the customers. Absolutely no recommendation and not an authentic Italian.

Fantastic experience at Portofino I had the pleasure of visiting the Portofino and absolutely loved it. As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt warmly welcomed - the atmosphere is cozy and stylish at the same time. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our waiter in particular, [Name], served us excellently and was always available to answer questions and requests. The food was simply outstanding! I tried the pizza, which was perfectly flavored and beautifully presented. My companion was also enthusiastic about her dish, the salad. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. Another highlight was the wine selection – perfectly matched to the food. The dessert menu was equally tempting and the dessert was the perfect end to a great evening. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here, and I can only warmly recommend the Portofino. A real insider tip for everyone who appreciates good food and first-class service. I will recommend further..!

Powdered pasta sauce. The staff takes change without asking. We didn't get drinks at all and asked for additional pizza plates, which we received after eating.

Totally overpriced, salad for 15 euros consists of iceberg lettuce that was only partially cut, huge pieces of tomato, a tiny portion of turkey, sauce and parmesan. For me, there was a lot missing from a mixed salad. The portion of spaghetti was tiny and lacked flavor.

The Caesars salad came with 2 whole small turkey steaks and pre-grated parmesan. Little tomatoes and iceberg lettuce. Service was quick. A piece of the toilet seat is held on the women's toilet

The service was unfriendly and the incorrect preparation of the dishes was discussed instead of preparing the dishes again. This only happened after repeated requests. The enormous language barrier was another hurdle. The menu on the website is out of date, dishes are not up to date and the prices have risen significantly. Only cash payment is possible. Not recommended!

This was the most enchanting and romantic eatery in the shopping district in Cologne! Our waiter Castro was so charming and helpful We dined on the most fabulous fresh salad with an assortment of fresh vegetables and a mushroom pizza We sat outside and enjoyed the shoppers and passersby The restaurant had plenty of outside seating and ample interior options as well The bathroom was spotless The value for the price was excellent We enjoyed the dinner and would definitely return!! This was one of the best meals we had our ENTIRE TRIP!!!! Enjoy

My experience at this restaurant was fabulous, the food was delivered quickly, I haven't had a Magharita pizza so delicious in my mouth in a long time, the service was as good as the food I have eaten here, the waiters were very personable and inviting, the location is well chosen and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend this restaurant only because the owner is as hospitable as the waiters.

The Food there was amazing i ordered a regular Pizza with Chicken on it , it came fast and with no problems , there is nothing bad to say about the service because they welcomed me with open hands, the location is super and i really loved the Atmosphere there , me as a restaurant expert myself must say my experience here was delightful so i really recommend you going here to eat!

The pizzeria is good, delicious pizza could be a little tastier (without a lot of fat) and the base less crispy, but still good, the prices are perfectly reasonable and the service is very nice and particularly fast. It's clean there, you can sit inside and outside. Special requests are also taken into account.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Italian restaurant and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more pleasant. The food was simply fantastic! Every dish we tried was authentic and prepared with great attention to detail. Particularly noteworthy are the homemade pasta dishes and pizza. I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves real Italian cuisine. A true culinary experience!

One star even too many. The portion was very little, not seasoned at all and 12 euros for a spoonful of noodle. Which didn't even taste good. The waitress said it was a whole portion and laughed a lot. Great, I won't go there anymore.

The food was hardly seasoned and tasted like ready meals. The toilet was dirty and without toilet paper. The waitress couldn't do mental arithmetic and had to pull out her smartphone to do the math🙈 the only positive thing was the place😊

I liked the food here a lot but when I ordered a calzone they put in the ingredients they brought you meat, vegetables, etc. The problem was that to this day I don't know where the meat was in that calzone. The correct food, a little expensive but normal for the area. The service is slow, they didn't let us sit at a table for four because there were two of us, and it was empty until we finished. The waiters who served us did not speak even basic English. The worst thing was when we wanted to pay with a credit card and they told us that they only accepted cash, a fact that was not indicated on the menu or in the restaurant. It would be understood in a small town place, but in the center of a big city??

In my opinion the prices are too expensive, the pizza is large and fills you up but the taste is lacking, what I didn't think was OK was that there were 6 small slices of prosciutto on the pizza for the extra charge of €4.70 unacceptable.

I am a regular customer at the Portofino restaurant. Every time I look forward to eating here again. The food is freshly prepared and served to the table with a smiling face. The staff is really very polite and the atmosphere right next to the cathedral is beautiful and you feel very comfortable here. Thank you for the hospitality.

There were four of us who ordered 3 pasta and 1 pizza. Plus a tea. The tea comes with “teapot” tea bags and is significantly too expensive for that. The noodle portions were very small, unseasoned and clearly too expensive. The pizza was good, otherwise it would have been a star. The staff cleared away before everyone was ready Overall a negative experience.

Pizzas ok, service ok, pay underground 👎. There is a DIN A4 note hanging on the door somewhere with the information “Card payment not possible”. Unfortunately, it is so inconspicuous that you don't pay attention to it and in a cosmopolitan city like Cologne you don't expect it. Even in my village of 1,500 souls, card payments have already arrived. Only when paying is it pointed out that only cash payments are possible. All the food is overpriced! I ordered spaghetti Napoli and a salami pizza. The portion was far too small and the salami pizza only had 4 salamis on it. As a cook, I know portions all too well.

Big catastrophe! We thought we were in an Italian restaurant "Portofino". But this is not run by Italians. The waiters hardly speak any German. They would have better called it "Constantinople." I feel c******. Card payment? None. But you will only be told when you pay. Apparently the card reader broke today. What they call "Pizza xFrutti di Mare" is an outrageous affair consisting of three mussels and two crabs on floppy dough. The Nice salad comes with two rock-hard, cold pizza rolls and of course without garlic butter. You can't choose a dressing for the salad, a small bowl full of thick balsamic vinegar was served. It's a shame, this restaurant could do more, but under these circumstances I won't be coming back. Great location right next to the cathedral. Prices are completely excessive in relation to what you get.

The food was unter the average that you can get and too much expensive and particular the salads. They serve salads for 1 person portion and they charged it almost 16€. When I gave my negative feedback to the waitress regarding the salad that was too less for what the price is, he asked me where is my problem and that the owner has a lot of expenses because the place is super central. Really impolite way of answering. If u don't want a customer feedback then don't open a restaurant. Never again

Drinks were warm and old. (Stale) Pasta is completely over-salted, even with my friends. Totally cheap and bad ingredients, dry meat, bitter salad, dishes just really economical and unimaginative. And for that per dish (including salad) €15-€18.

Super friendly and really delicious food

The restaurant was one of the few restaurants open for lunch on Sundays. Unfortunately the visit was mediocre at best. The salad of eggplant, zucchini, olives and other vegetables turned out to be a normal leaf salad with peppers. The waitress probably didn't know which vegetables she was listing when she was specifically asked about the contents of the salad. The pizzas were ok, but nothing special. The dough was rather bland in taste. Unfortunately, our hope of at least dipping the dry edges in delicious Italian oil turned out to be nothing. The olive oil that was served with the salad was probably not olive oil - it had no taste and was probably diluted due to the consistency. The tortellini with broccoli wasn't a highlight either. One drink didn't come at all during the hour we were there, and the rest of the drinks initially had something else. Unfortunately, given that the prices are quite high, it wasn't a great experience. I wouldn't repeat it.
