It was terribly loud. The first waiter was pretty grumpy, the waitress was very nice. The food was average. Everything is pretty tight. I don't need this again

A fantastic restaurant with southern energy and great food. Not exactly cheap in price, but tasty and the preparation is flexible if you wish. One of my favorites in Cologne, where you should make a reservation. As a vegetarian, I would only like to be able to order a vegetarian lasagne. Maybe it'll make it onto the menu someday ;)

Very nice and attentive service, food exceptionally tasty and to the point. The open Lugano went well with the food. First we had an excellent classic carpaccio and as a main course a fantastic veal chop with spaghetti aglio e olio (see photo). For dessert there was tiramisu, also very tasty. The ambience is pleasantly lively and cheerful. Be sure to reserve in advance.

I was really surprised after being 5 days in Köln we decided to go to this place and it was amazing. High quality food very friendly place with magnificent service. Thank you. So sorry that there is no ability to rate 10.

Anyone who wants to experience Sardinian spirit and cuisine has come to the right place: excellent, fresh cuisine, friendly service and always an eye on making sure nothing is missing. Special features: the fish soup is an absolute must, well seasoned, the fish is slightly glassy and sufficient for the price and portion size. From 10 p.m. with suitable music to sing along to and shed tears. Always my pleasure.

Heijeijei...so to start with the good thing...that was the highly motivated lady in service. However, the food...the pizzas have a cookie base...the toppings are similar to a frozen pizza. The supposed salami looked like a Cervelat sausage from JA and the vegetables looked like frozen. The menu offers a spaghetti carbonara with cream...that would make every Italian's hackles stand up. When asked whether you could also get an original carbonara, they said, “Yes, very much, the boys in the kitchen are happy about it!” So the expectations were high. We received two plates of spaghetti drowned in oil. The egg curdled, no guanciale but just any plain cube of bacon from the package. Completely inedible. We let the spaghetti go back and then got the cream version... without guanciale, of course. But completely overdone. This too is inedible. Only the starters of the mixed seafood plate and the Vitello Tonato tasted good. Otherwise there wouldn't have been two stars. All in all, the atmosphere and the clientele seem as if the over-60s in polo shirts with the collar turned up want to celebrate themselves here again... and it seems to be less about the food. Decoration and furnishings 80s style. Far too loud, you have to literally shout at your direct table. But apparently that's why people go here. I can't explain everything else.

Waiting time with a 1 hour window for eating was 30 minutes. Then after 1 hour the bill was slammed on the table without warning. Once and never again

We had reserved a table for business at 7 p.m. This worked without any problems. The restaurant is easily accessible, is located near the Neumarkt and is therefore easy to reach from the city on foot, by taxi or by public transport. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We were there for about 3 hours and had a complete menu sequence. The menu offers a large selection of pasta, pizza, fish and meat. Both various starters and desserts. There is also a small but adequate wine list. The service is friendly, but could be a little more attentive. The restaurant is quite loud, which is something to take into account when coming to entertain. The dishes had a good taste - but as we all know, taste can be debated. My pasta was no longer al dente, but tasted good. The bread served was too much baguette for me and not the classic Italian pane. Overall, a nice evening with good food.

I was here with my girlfriend last night. We were really deeply disappointed. My friend ordered the truffle pasta from the cheese body. There was no price anywhere, as it later turned out it cost €26. For the taste and the fact that it was cold, it was an absolute disgrace. The waiter was very pushy and sometimes unpleasant. Unfortunately the last time in this restaurant.

We were warmly welcomed. Bread with some kind of garlic butter and olives was served within a very short time. Both very tasty. The pasta with anchovies, olives, capers and sun-dried tomatoes was cooked perfectly al dente. Very interesting sauce. We really liked the noodles. Let's get to the salmon. Very well grilled, also with the rosemary, tomatoes and garlic. Very harmonious. There was a lack of salt and pepper, but they were added as desired. What I did dislike a bit were the side dishes with the salmon. Could have been a little more generous and not so bland and tasteless. Was the only critical point on this visit. Otherwise highly recommended. Not the last time!

The food was delicious and very nice we called and were placed immediatly they came up very quickly to take our order not even 30 minutes later the food arrived. The vibe of the place was very cozy and there were a lot of pictures from the owners making you feel welcome. The love they use to make the food was to taste i had the spaghetti carbonara and it was deliciously creamy and good. I would eat here again.

We have been eating at La Piazzetta more or less regularly for many years. For us it is the best Italian in town... The pizzas are very good. But the other dishes are also great. Last time I had porcini mushrooms with pasta and my wife had spaghetti with seafood. Super tasty. Absolutely recommended.

Multifruit pizza is recommended

If a visit to an Italian restaurant in Cologne is worth it, then it is this one!!! From the service to the quality of the food, it's just MEGA!! If we come to Cologne again, we will definitely eat out again.

Delicious food, the starter (bruchetta on the house) was wonderfull and the pizza and lasagna we had were super tasty! We realy enjoyed our diner here and would come again!

We had the much-celebrated fish soup. She is really highly recommended. Plus a glass of white wine. Finally, a good espresso. What more do you need? Everything was great, the service was quick and friendly. Let's go. The visit is worth it

Ate there very tasty, drinks prices were quite high, €2.50 for a Kölsch and €7.50 for a bottle of water, the seating was a bit cramped, but it was really a nice evening

Authentic Italian cuisine. Just stumbled in on a rainy day and ended up in the heart of ❤️ Italy. Recommendation from the boss: Tagliatelle with wild boar ragout - we were absolutely thrilled. Top quality! Tender meat, perfectly seasoned and the tagliatelle on the side... it couldn't be better! We'll be back.

I had a very good Pizza Tonno. The plate was lavishly set. Dough very thin and crispy. I enjoyed it very much. The staff is very friendly and serves very quickly. The only detraction is the plastic chairs, which look very well maintained.

All in all a nice lunch. Food very tasty, service okay. Prices are sometimes a bit too high.

Maybe a little inconspicuous from the outside but every time it's incredibly tasty and the vibe is incomparable! I can only recommend lobster pasta to everyone

We paid €52 for 2x spaghetti with a hint of truffle and a bit of parmesan. Together with a really bad wine (Primitivo) and a bottle of mineral water we were at €108. What has actually happened to the prices, what is the relationship between all of this? Pasta has by far the largest margin in the catering industry, how much does it cost? Cents maybe?? The service was very good. However, the prices and the food on offer have no connection at all, it used to be nice, not anymore. We definitely won't be coming back. Continued success.

The food is great. Personally, I recommend the stuffed mushrooms as a starter and the fillet as a main course. The portions are very generous so come hungry.

The mushrooms are excellent. The pizza was pretty good average. The number 88 was a beef fillet with pasta. Both were so good that you wanted to sleep in them. Definitely recommended.

Exceptionally good food on a warm summer night

So for me it's more of a Mediterranean restaurant than an Italian one. Good selection of meat and pasta but too much garlic in all dishes for me. The service was very good and you can feel comfortable here.

Nos dieron bruschetta de cortesía y pan con baño de ajo, así que no necesitábamos un entrante. Nuestra comida (pizza y ñoquis) era muy sabrosa y el servicio era excelente.

The food was okay, but the service was very intrusive. As students, we don't want an aperitif, a bottle of wine, a starter or a dessert. This has been asked intrusively far too often. When we said no again at the end for dessert, the waitress asked herself, "Then the bill?" It really felt like you were being thrown out. So, if you're a little tight on cash or just want to go out for a relaxing meal, you might want to avoid this restaurant. However, given this intrusiveness, you shouldn't expect the restaurant's ambience to be as upscale as the service conveys.

Great service, friendly, hardly any waiting time, you can sit outside and the food, including greetings from the kitchen, also tastes great!

The food was pricey but I simply couldn't finish the noodles they call spaghetti vongole (23€). Waiter forgot to deliver part of the order. Unfortunately the place looks nice but doesn't deliver.

Very nice little and quaint pizzeria. Service was top and in a good mood. Nice appetizer on the house. The fish was great. The steak was from medium rare to almost raw..but ordered medium, that needs to be improved.. But we'll go there again 👍

Super unfriendly service when asked if two tables could be put together; The answer was mushy and showed absolutely no understanding that people wanted to sit together as a family. I've never really had such unfriendly service before.

Sehr leckeres Essen und super aufmerksames Personal. Ich hatte die Fischsuppe bestellt, da ich gelesen hatte es sollte die beste Fisch Suppe sein Leider war ich enttäuscht, sie war zwar scharf aber fad. Das Kalbfleisch war sehr lecker, die sauce war arg rezent. Die Pilze waren göttlich und der Wein super lecker. Ein toller aussen Bereich und am Ende haben wir sogar einen limoncello geschenkt bekommen

Excellent Service and every meal at the table was exceptional. Yes… we shared tastings around the table. Flavors. Presentation. Just really well executed dinner. Bottomless Bottles of Wine. Lasagne was incredible. Pasta Vongole… fresh and delicious. Beautiful Sole. Perfectly prepared Filet. Wonderful outdoor seating on a beautiful early summer evening.

Three stars for sitting outside is almost self-explanatory. Bruschetta as a service in advance, excellent. On the other hand, very sad, unfilled, pitted, super dry olives. Service top and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Main courses unfortunately only pizza, but in good condition. We become regular customers

Very friendly staff. I had originally planned to order something else, but the pizza smelled irresistible. Even though I briefly regretted my decision when I saw other guests' pasta dishes - as soon as my pizza was in front of me, the regret was quickly over, it tasted like a piece of vacation. Definitely a must.

Top Italian! Fish soup is wowwww! Cool atmosphere!

It's unbelievable how much food La Piazetta can send out within a very short time, despite this small kitchen and every meal is of very good quality. Simple but very good bruschetta. An Italian favorite for many Cologne residents. Rather small restaurant but usually always full. That's why Cologne's Fler interior is full, but if you're used to the ambience, the hustle and bustle won't be too bothersome, for me it was rather unusual. Here we were also able to drink a very good white wine, which I would also like to drink privately in the future. All in all, it completely met my taste, a new experience for me as a restaurateur and respect for La Piazzetta.

I didn't like the atmosphere. A small, cluttered and very loud and styleless restaurant, as I found it. The sound was so loud that I couldn't hear my table partner. Later in the evening the light even went out. We waited an hour for food. It tasted okay, but the mushrooms weren't fresh and the pasta my wife ordered (part of the main course) didn't come with the main course. The service was not particularly friendly or attentive.

It may have been better before, but I won't go there again.

If you’re Asian, and speak zero german. This place is not for you. The waiter cannot speak English and unwelcoming. He had a change of face when he served us. He’s a skinny guy with beard. We came on 20/12/21 around 730-8pm for short supper. All i have to say is food is so-so. Plus the most uncomfortable service by the waiter. They said not to be rude to waiter but in this restaurant is the other way round.

Today I was there again - I love the lively place, the people and the atmosphere, which would be difficult to replace. From a bouquet of fine smells came the recommendation from the kitchen: Rabbit was today's tip with butter noodles, not to forget, which I really didn't regret - I'll definitely eat it again! By chance I became aware of this Italian a few years ago. The quality of the food and the friendly staff are simply great. No matter what you order there, it is prepared with a lot of love and tastes very, very good. I really enjoy making the long journey from Franconia several times a year to eat out here. Every now and then I spontaneously went to Cologne and even then the boss made it possible to organize a table for me. That's really rare these days.

Went there for lunch while visiting the town for Christmas shopping. Although we were a group 9, and the place was already crowded, the service was fast and friendly. We all ate more than enough and the food was delicious. Thank you for making our day even better.
