The food is great. Personally, I recommend the stuffed mushrooms as a starter and the fillet as a main course. The portions are very generous so come hungry.

So for me it's more of a Mediterranean restaurant than an Italian one. Good selection of meat and pasta but too much garlic in all dishes for me. The service was very good and you can feel comfortable here.

Exceptionally good food on a warm summer night

The mushrooms are excellent. The pizza was pretty good average. The number 88 was a beef fillet with pasta. Both were so good that you wanted to sleep in them. Definitely recommended.

We liked the look of this restaurant - lots of tables both inside and out. We hadn’t booked but managed to get a table outside. We were given complimentary bruschetta and bread with garlic dip, so didn’t need a starter. Our food (pizza and gnocchi) was really tasty and the service was excellent.

The food was okay, but the service was very intrusive. As students, we don't want an aperitif, a bottle of wine, a starter or a dessert. This has been asked intrusively far too often. When we said no again at the end for dessert, the waitress asked herself, "Then the bill?" It really felt like you were being thrown out. So, if you're a little tight on cash or just want to go out for a relaxing meal, you might want to avoid this restaurant. However, given this intrusiveness, you shouldn't expect the restaurant's ambience to be as upscale as the service conveys.

Great service, friendly, hardly any waiting time, you can sit outside and the food, including greetings from the kitchen, also tastes great!

The food was pricey but I simply couldn't finish the noodles they call spaghetti vongole (23€). Waiter forgot to deliver part of the order. Unfortunately the place looks nice but doesn't deliver.

Super unfriendly service when asked if two tables could be put together; The answer was mushy and showed absolutely no understanding that people wanted to sit together as a family. I've never really had such unfriendly service before.

Sehr leckeres Essen und super aufmerksames Personal. Ich hatte die Fischsuppe bestellt, da ich gelesen hatte es sollte die beste Fisch Suppe sein Leider war ich enttäuscht, sie war zwar scharf aber fad. Das Kalbfleisch war sehr lecker, die sauce war arg rezent. Die Pilze waren göttlich und der Wein super lecker. Ein toller aussen Bereich und am Ende haben wir sogar einen limoncello geschenkt bekommen

Lasagne was incredible. Pasta Vongole… fresh and delicious. Beautiful Sole. Perfectly prepared Filet. Wonderful outdoor seating on a beautiful early summer evening.

Three stars for sitting outside is almost self-explanatory. Bruschetta as a service in advance, excellent. On the other hand, very sad, unfilled, pitted, super dry olives. Service top and friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Main courses unfortunately only pizza, but in good condition. We become regular customers

Very friendly staff. I had originally planned to order something else, but the pizza smelled irresistible. Even though I briefly regretted my decision when I saw other guests' pasta dishes - as soon as my pizza was in front of me, the regret was quickly over, it tasted like a piece of vacation. Definitely a must.

Top Italian! Fish soup is wowwww! Cool atmosphere!

It's unbelievable how much food La Piazetta can send out within a very short time, despite this small kitchen and every meal is of very good quality. Simple but very good bruschetta. An Italian favorite for many Cologne residents. Rather small restaurant but usually always full. That's why Cologne's Fler interior is full, but if you're used to the ambience, the hustle and bustle won't be too bothersome, for me it was rather unusual. Here we were also able to drink a very good white wine, which I would also like to drink privately in the future. All in all, it completely met my taste, a new experience for me as a restaurateur and respect for La Piazzetta.

I didn't like the atmosphere. A small, cluttered and very loud and styleless restaurant, as I found it. The sound was so loud that I couldn't hear my table partner. Later in the evening the light even went out. We waited an hour for food. It tasted okay, but the mushrooms weren't fresh and the pasta my wife ordered (part of the main course) didn't come with the main course. The service was not particularly friendly or attentive.

While the rest of my table had already eaten the appetizer and dessert, I was still waiting for my pasta. The service was super unfriendly and not at all helpful. My pasta still cost €26, even though I was only served it 1.5 hours after ordering. All of our plates were broken and the atmosphere on the plastic chairs doesn't match the high prices you pay there. It may have been better before, but I won't go there again.

If you’re Asian, and speak zero german. This place is not for you. The waiter cannot speak English and unwelcoming. He had a change of face when he served us. He’s a skinny guy with beard. We came on 20/12/21 around 730-8pm for short supper. All i have to say is food is so-so. Plus the most uncomfortable service by the waiter. They said not to be rude to waiter but in this restaurant is the other way round.

By chance I became aware of this Italian a few years ago. The quality of the food and the friendly staff are simply great. No matter what you order there, it is prepared with a lot of love and tastes very, very good. I really enjoy making the long journey from Franconia several times a year to eat out here. Every now and then I spontaneously went to Cologne and even then the boss made it possible to organize a table for me. That's really rare these days.

Went there for lunch while visiting the town for Christmas shopping. Although we were a group 9, and the place was already crowded, the service was fast and friendly. We all ate more than enough and the food was delicious. Thank you for making our day even better.

Unerwartet tolles Essen. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war absolut akzeptabel. Die unglaubliche Speisekarte macht es sehr schwer sich für etwas entscheiden. Dennoch die Wahl der Nudeln aus dem Parmesan Laib mit Trüffel waren der Hammer… Die Umgebung ist etwas laut, aber der Laden ist auch den ganzen Abend immer gut gefüllt.

Das La Piazetta ist eine Institution, hier gibt es grundsolide italienische Küche mit frischen Fischgerichten und sehr gute Frutti di Mare.

Service hätte 6 Sterne verdient. Sehr leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente, nette Bedienung.

Neben dem tollen Essen hat der Service sechs Sterne verdient. Ohne Reservierung wurde freundlich Platz geschaffen und wir wurden schnell und freundlich bedient.

6 Personen Freitag 20:30 Uhr Bedienung relativ neutrale Freundlichkeit aber schnell. Essen ordentlich aber überteuert. Lautstärke nicht ertragbar, man muss die Mitarbeiter bei Bestellung und Tischnachbarn bei Unterhaltung anschreien. Konzept nicht verständlich: um20:45 Uhr wird das Licht ausgemacht und auf maximaler lautstärker Pavarotti angemacht. Für 5 Minuten kann man sich nicht unterhalten während man vergeblich versucht sein Trommelfell zu schützen. Auf Nachfrage ob man die Lautstärke runter drehen könnte (schreiend), gab es nur die Antwort , dass das „immer so gemacht wird“. Konzept nicht wirklich gut durchdacht (chaotische Bedienung, mäßiges Essen, zu teuer, viel zu laut, von Italien Klassiker bis griechischer Wein) und noch schlechter umgesetzt mit sehr wenig Kundenorientierung. Im ganzen nicht zu empfehlen. Uns wundert, dass es solche Restaurants überhaupt gibt bzw. Anklang finden. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Wir haben uns wie immer sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr netter Service und fantastisches Essen. Der Gedanke an den langjährigen Inhabers bleibt und macht ein bisschen traurig aber das Team ist weiter top.

Man kann hier sehr gut speisen, eine schöne Karte und Tagesgerichte. Sehr bemühter Service. Einzig die Wartezeit zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang führen zu Punktabzug.

Tolles Erlebnis. Essen hervorragend. Preisleistungsverhältnis perfekt. Bedienung außerordentlich freundlich. Rundherum mehr als zufrieden. Immer wieder.

Für einen Samstagabend ist es für eine Familienfeier nicht geeignet. Die Stimmung gleichte eher nach einer Bar als nach einem Restaurant. Es wäre hilfreich gewesen, wenn man seinen Laden als Restaurant/Bar bezeichnet, dann wäre ich mit meiner Familie nicht dahin. Meine Familie kommt von weiter weg und wir konnten uns kaum bis gar nicht unterhalten. Der Service ansich war gut, außer, dass eine Kellnerin vor sich hingemurmelt hatte, ob wir nicht wüssten, was wir bestellt hätten. Dabei hatte sie selbst das Essen mehrmals für andere Gäste an unseren Tisch gebracht. Das Essen war gut.

Viel sehr gutes Essen fürs Geld. Reservierung ist zu empfehlen. Schöner Abend in Köln mit 8 Familienmitgliedern.

Grundsätzlich war unser Besuch hier im La Piazzetta ganz schön mit gutem Service, aber als wir die Rechnung bekamen, mussten wir schon schlucken. Im Nachhinein würden wir für einen italienischen Abend nicht mehr hierher kommen. Es gibt andere italienische Läden besonders hier in Mülheim, wo wir wohnen, wo wir gleich gutes Essen bekommen und weniger bezahlen. Ja, die Mieten dort sind günstiger (noch), aber uns hat die Piazzetta Lage jetzt keinen Mehrwert gegeben. Wir hatten Pizza Diavolo und die Trüffel-Pasta aus dem Käserad. Dass zweiteres nicht grade billig sein würde, war klar. Aber irgendwie hatte ich verdrängt, dass ein Aperol 10 Euro, jeder Limoncello 5 Euro und das Dessert auch 10 Euro kostet. Am Ende bezahlten wir für 1x Pizza, 1x Pasta, 1x Dessert, 4x kleine Kölsch, 1x Aperol und 4x Schnaps und 1x Flasche Wasser 94 Euro. Das waren gefühlt 20 Euro zu viel. Der Service war allerdings wirklich überragend, Service wie man ihn eigentlich nur von früher kennt. Alles in allem möchte ich aber nur 3 Sterne geben, weil wir aufgrund der Preise nicht wiederkommen werden.

Mega Laden! Hat zwar nichts mit Italien zu tun, aber das Ambiente ist wirklich cool. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen, am Wochenende dorthin zu gehen. Leckeres Essen (Fisch und Pizza sind grandios!), gute Weine und tolle Stimmung!

Als wir heute wieder mal in Köln waren, wurde uns dieses italienische Restaurant empfohlen und ich muss sagen, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Eine angenehme Atmosphäre mit sehr freundlichem Service. Die Pizza Napoli war sehr lecker. Dieses Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Super leckeres Essen und super freundliches Personal. Wir wurden an unseren Tisch gebracht und nichtmal ne Minute später stand bruchetta, Brot und Kräuterbutter auf dem Tisch was super schmeckte. Die Dame war super lieb gab und hab uns super Empfehlungen. Top Restaurant, ist den Weg wert!
