Speise - Bistro in Chemnitz

We've been regulars at Bistro Essen for many years. The staff has changed several times over the years, and now one man runs the place alone. Years ago, there were four people on staff. Today we noticed that there's no system in place. The friendliness of the previous owners is sadly gone. Today's order was goulash with tomato salad, but unfortunately, they ran out of salad at 1 p.m. The potatoes were very hard, and the goulash was tough. The only good thing was the sauce. They urgently need to hire a chef who knows what they're doing. And the customer service definitely needs improvement.

Unfortunately, it's no longer what it used to be until recently. I miss the two girls and the young man. It was always good, it was always tasty, and there was always plenty of it - since the still incomprehensible change of ownership, unfortunately, nothing has improved here... on the contrary... you get silly comments, even though you pay and give more "tips," you don't get your extra cheese, etc., etc. The selection is unfortunately no longer what I used to appreciate. I'll probably have to find something new or take something to eat with me.

Delicious breakfast, salmon rolls, cocoa, curds. Are very satisfied. Great staff, very attentive and kind. Thank you for the nice start to the day ❤️

unfriendly and snappy! We arrived at the bistro at 10:15 a.m. with our 2 children and father-in-law. The internet said it was open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The very unfriendly, sometimes snappy conditions (older woman with short blonde hair and glasses) served us. We asked her about her unfriendly service. The answer to our question “what is your problem” was: “What is our problem here? Breakfast is over! You have other work to do here!" Instead of pointing this out to us in a friendly manner and possibly not giving us breakfast, we had breakfast with frustration. When we requested that the cocoa not be so hot for our 4-year-old child, it came boiling out of the microwave. All in all, this was very disappointing for us!

Hearty dishes, prices are okay. Would gladly come again.

Highly recommended. We've been there several times now. Whether for breakfast or lunch, it's always delicious.

Täglich wechselndes Angebot an warmen Speisen, alles frisch zubereitet. Dazu heiße und kalte Getränke und belegte Brötchen. Chefin und Mitarbeiterin sehr freundlich. Nach Pächterwechsel zum 1.1.2022 noch besser als vorher. Klare Empfehlung für den "kleinen Hunger".
