Spartenheim Frohes Schaffen in Herzberg (Elster)

This is cult... Somehow, it's always beautiful here. Everything is a bit older and very simple, but you still feel very comfortable there.

We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve party in the new ambience of the Grüne Gurke.

"Frohes Schaffen" (Happy Creation) allotment home – located in the southwest of the town of Herzberg an der Elster, at Richard-König-Straße 55, in the middle of the allotment gardens. Built during the GDR era, the owners have retained its charm and made only a few changes – their guests' desire was to feel at home. For over 40 years, the owners, Edelgard and Roland Schütze, have pampered their customers and made them happy. While he conjures up culinary specialties, she pours all kinds of drinks for the thirsty and serves them at the tables. Many large celebrations, such as family celebrations, birthday parties, morning and afternoon parties, and seasonal celebrations, have been professionally staged. In the lively atmosphere, Edi – affectionately known as Edi – grabs the microphone and rocks the tent. In her younger years, she toured the country with a band. Called the "Green Cucumber" by the locals, the place is in a prime location; when Roland plays music, no one is bothered by the loud noise. It's a place of their own. The downside: It'll soon be quiet there, and a successor isn't available. Edi: We get a lot of inquiries, but we still want to enjoy our retirement. The ambiance: everyone designs their own apartment, and so opinions differ. What one person likes is another's horror. So be it!

I always enjoy going to the "Gurke"; it's a great place to party. 🥳 The food and service are excellent, and the ambiance is simply rustic 😁.

Not particularly fancy, but very cozy and super friendly hosts. You can only feel good. Always happy.

Leider ist die Gaststätte nicht mehr regelmäßig geöffnet. Ist hauptsächlich für Vereine oder Feiern.

Sehr romantisch. Als ehemaliger DDR Bürger fühlt man sich da wohl. Leider ist selten auf dort.

Geräumiges Lokal, gute Küche, freundliches Personal.

Wunderbare urige Gaststätte zu sehr moderaten Preisen. Hervorragendes Essen! Alles selbst zubereitet Super Location zum feiern. Tolle Musik inklusive. Der Saal bietet Platz für circa 100 Leute. Tolle idyllische Lage in der Herzberger Gartensparte. Die Gastwirte Edi und Roland Schütze sind sehr herzlich und unterbreiten jedem der seine Feier dort ausrichten möchte ein passendes Angebot ganz nach seinen Wünschen.

Vereinsgaststätte der Kleingärtner der Sparte "Frohes Schaffen", wo man durchaus mal ein Bierchen trinken gehen kann.
