Spaccanapoli Nr. 12 in Berlin

The waiter that helped us is by far the rudest waiter I’ve encountered in any restaurant after living in Berlin for 2 years. Like nothing bad happened even, just a guy not happy and really showing that he was not having it this evening. Just very very poor attitude and service. Pizza was actually decent, so quite a shame to have this guy walking around in your restaurant. Would have the pizza again, but take away only.

Berlin - I'm back. And again I ended up in the capital. What could be more obvious than to go to Spaccanapoli No. 12 again - as a C rehearsal, so to speak. This time I traveled from Schöneberg using public teaching equipment. The S41 took me to Ostkreuz, from there it was a 10 minute walk. The restaurant wasn't full that Wednesday even though it was already 7 p.m. The waiter wasn't that interested when I asked for a table for one person, and at the time I wasn't aware that staff without much knowledge of German was working here. But actually I could have guessed from the last two visits. I was taken to a table without much fanfare and given the card. The truffle pizza The Truffle Shuttle really appealed to me. It took quite a while until the waiter came back. Then I could order. He asked if I wanted an extra burratta, which I said no. Then whether I would like something else besides the water and pizza I ordered. I said no and the waiter left listlessly. I received the water quickly. It took longer to eat than the first few times. The pizza was served by the pizza maker himself. Visually she looked great. I was very happy. Then came the disillusionment. What was that? The dough was as fluffy as last time, but in terms of taste it was an absolute total failure. This pizza tasted like nothing at all. And that's not an exaggeration. It was tasteless. There was no salt, flavors, simply everything. The truffles were completely tasteless, there was no truffle oil to be seen, even the salsiccia was tasteless. A disaster. I had received salt and pepper again for seasoning. But I was hungry. The waiter was nowhere to be seen and I started eating. When half was eaten I asked for salt. Salt, pepper and chilies were urgently needed to get at least a hint of flavor out of this pizza. Even the dough was poorly salted. When I was finished I had to wait again until the waiter was nearby. No question this time whether it was tasty. I would have told him my opinion. But good. Following a new American tradition, the payment terminal asked for a tip in predefined percentage increments. The waiter waited to see if I would press something and then turned directly to the other guests. And no, I didn't press 0%. I was even more annoyed by the behavior. It took another 4 minutes until he turned back to me to check whether the payment had gone through. A succinct thank you, that was it. Conclusion: I can really only hope that this was a blip. Nothing was right here today. Get rid of this crap with the predefined tips. And trains the employees to ask the guests whether it tastes good or whether everything is OK. I paid €21 for an absolutely miserable pizza - and I know you can do much better. Danish no appeal to the owners. And yes, there will be a D rehearsal and I hope I won't be disappointed next time. Cool staff, great food and delicious drinks in Friedrichshain!

Not sure whether I'm delusional or I got the munchies or this pizza is seriously good. I am typing on my laptop, still with oily hands. We ordered Quattro Formaggi and the other cheesy one with Burrata and Mortadella and ufff it just hit the spot. Will order again, this is a serious matter. 10/10.

Last week we celebrated our graduation here. Very nice colleagues, very comfortable rooms, the food was unique!!! I have never tried pizza like this anywhere in Berlin before. Not only did I get full, I also experienced a piece of Italy. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back because the list of pizza specials is simply unbeatable!!!

In SpaccaNapoli 12 you are served a pizza that looks promising at first glance, but then has a little surprise in store. The dough is thin, crispy and quite tasty - nothing to complain about. But as soon as you take a closer look at the pizza, one thing immediately catches your eye: the sauce. It almost seems like a waterfall that cascades over the entire surface of the pizza. It's not just a thin layer of tomato sauce gently spread over the dough, but a veritable deluge. The sauce runs over the edge of the pizza, almost as if it didn't have enough room to spread completely. This results in the pizza literally sinking into a sea of ​​tomatoes and herbs. The taste of the sauce is nothing to complain about - it is fresh and spicy, with a pleasant balance of sweetness and acidity. But the amount that was put on the pizza is simply too much of a good thing. It feels like the sauce wants to overwhelm not only the dough but the entire plate. Anyone who loves an abundance of sauce will certainly get their money's worth. But for the average pizza lover, the quantity can seem a little overwhelming. The sauce itself tastes quite good, but the way it dominates the pizza takes away some of the structure and balance of the dish. You almost have the feeling that the dough and the other ingredients such as cheese and toppings are drowning in the flood of sauce. For some this may be the highlight of the pizza - a true explosion of flavor - but for others it can quickly become a less pleasant experience. This makes eating more difficult because you are constantly trying to control the sauce and prevent it from spreading to every corner and edge of the plate. Overall, it can be said that SpaccaNapoli 12 has good intentions with its pizza, which has a lot of the right elements at its core - fresh ingredients, a solid base and a very tasty topping. But the excessive amount of sauce makes the pizza a rather messy experience. So if you're looking forward to a balanced pizza where all the components work harmoniously with each other, you might be disappointed here. It's a pizza that seems to drown in its sauce and raises the question of whether less might have been more.

the pizza is phenomenal!!! the atmosphere doesn't feel like details have been particularly thought through but it's also not bad. there is no lasagna in the new menu for anyone interested :)

Spaccanapoli No. 12 is my absolute favorite Italian! I have tried many pizzas and all of them are simply delicious. A cool atmosphere and nice Italian staff. Whether with family or friends, the restaurant is great!

Super insulated and therefore not too crowded. Pizza at a very high level, like in Naples. Interesting creations, lots of toppings, a bit watery, but dough first class. High quality ingredients. Delicious cocktails. Service very nice. You'll be happy to come back here!

Pizza ordered by Uber. It arrived shortly after ordering (30 minutes). She was COLD! As if someone made it yesterday!! I ordered Amatriciana with extra burata which was sour and stale!!! I'm sorry to say that this pizza only looks nice and doesn't taste good! I probably won't order from this pizzeria again!!

We come here once a month and always eat a starter (grilled vegetables) and a pizza together. The portions are fair for the price, the cocktails are delicious. I recommend coming here in the warm summer days, always a bit of Italian flair!

Help! I just can't understand the positive reviews for this store at all. I've been there twice now, six months apart, and the food is really not that special, the pizza base is limp, the tomato sauce on the pizza is tasteless, there was no olive oil after salt and pepper, and the waiter constantly turned up his nose and... coughed into his hand, pretty disgusting. The ambience is okay and the service is not unfriendly. It definitely won't happen a third time!

Was there a few weeks ago with a few colleagues. If you like Neapolitan pizza, you will definitely be happy here, considering you are in Berlin. It was very tasty!

Great Italian restaurant with incredibly delicious dishes.

Average. First the wrong food was brought out and left on the table - no problem, people make mistakes, but then when the correct food was brought out, the waiter didn't apologise at any point, and the pizza was already cold (I guess it had sat on another table for a while too). The truffle lasagne (the daily special) had no truffle at all. When we asked, they heated up the pizza again (an Italian waiter helped with that, he was quite friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, he was not the main waiter we had). The pizza was quite tasty, but had very few toppings. We felt rushed when our reservation time slot was over, with a takeaway pizza box being given to us without us asking for one, despite the fact there were many empty tables and we weren't finished talking, and getting the wrong order, and getting the pizza reheated had cost some time. Overall, cold food, no truffle, high price for the quality, and low standard service.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was empty when we entered. We had the best pizza in a while, the service was very welcoming. I also appreciate the usage of high quality ingredients.

Unfortunately the pizza is always completely burnt and therefore inedible. I tried pizza there three times and it was pure coal three times.

So I'm really sorry but I really didn't like the food at all. The pizza was somehow bland in terms of taste and the carbonara was so overloaded with barely fried pork bacon that it only tasted and smelled of pork fat. Maybe it was well-intentioned, but the taste is no longer enjoyable. I also think these burnt pizzas are really bad. Pizza is hardly healthy as it is, do you have to increase the acrylamide content?

Was there for the first time yesterday. I liked it very much! Gladly again at any time!

For me it's definitely the best Neapolitan pizza (and I've tried many)! In addition, the staff is also super nice and attentive and authentically Italian.

If you want to feel at home, you absolutely have to come to Spaccanapoli! In this small but comfortable place you will feel like you are back in Italy for a couple of hours: the food and warm climate completely fill your nostalgia.

Wenn man noch nicht nach Italien fährt aber Geschmack von schönes Land spüren will, ist hier genau richtig. Gibt's richtig große Auswahl von Pizzen, die auch wunderschön schmecken. Aber ganz seltene Speisen wie Arancini oder frittierte Zucchiniblüten sind zu finden. Ich hatte Tagliatelle Carbonara, pures Genuss, sehr schmackhaft und richtig zubereitet. Service war super aufmerksam und freundlich, cooles Musik und gemütliche Ambiente runden alles ab. Ich komme wieder wenn ich Lust auf Pizza habe)

If you haven't gone to Italy yet but want to feel the taste of a beautiful country, this is the right place for you. There's a really large selection of pizzas that also taste wonderful. But very rare dishes such as arancini or fried zucchini flowers can be found. I had Tagliatelle Carbonara, pure enjoyment, very tasty and properly prepared. Service was super attentive and friendly, cool music and a cozy atmosphere rounded everything off. I'll come back when I feel like pizza)

Small but very nice and welcoming environment.. they welcomed us even if we weren't booked. Very good food starting from Neapolitan pizza to dessert. Very friendly and attentive staff, especially the waiter MUGHILAN who advised us and always served us with a smile even though the place was very crowded. I recommend it if you want a family environment and truly Italian style.

We originally found this place through Wolt delivery service and loved the pizzas. We have ordered pizza many times as well as have eaten at the restaurant, the experience was never less than outstanding. There are many pizza options, classic flavors and special creations - all incredibly tasty with good quality fresh ingredients and amazing sourdough crust. Love everything about it and honestly it is worth the price. The fried Risotto balls - Arancini with blue cheese - are a favorite appetizer. Looking forward to many more pizzas!

Spaccanapoli Nr. 12 is a true gem in Berlin! We celebrated with a large group, and from the moment we arrived, the warmth and genuine hospitality of the owner and staff made us feel like part of the family—there’s something about Italian hospitality that’s just unparalleled! We kicked things off with rounds of antipasti fritti, including arancini, fried veggies, and olive ascolane. Each bite was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and wonderfully authentic. Then, came the star of the show—the pizzas! I tried the provola & pepe pizza, and it was everything a Neapolitan pizza should be: crisp on the edges, delightfully soft inside, and bursting with smoky, cheesy goodness. They’ve absolutely nailed the classic Neapolitan style, with a lovely balance of texture and flavor. An added surprise was their Halloween decorations, which gave the place a fun and festive vibe. It’s the little touches that make Spaccanapoli Nr. 12 special, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience in Berlin, this place is it.

Pizzas are great (also for Italian standards!!), probably the best you can find in Berlin. All the waiters are great, especially Mukilan. I also had an event where around 50 people were invited, the service was still perfect: very fast and high quality.

Excellent pizza and honest prices

Far too much tomato sauce and/or cheese depending on the pizza and therefore super soggy and unfortunately not tasty. I've eaten here often but unfortunately the quality is getting worse and worse. Prices are absolutely unreasonable

On the first visit I had to send the pizza back because half of the base was burnt black. On the second visit I specifically said when ordering that the floor shouldn't be so dark and again larger areas were black. My 3 year old daughter wanted pasta without sauce, just plain. It cost an outrageous €8 and she wasn't even full. The sanitary area is not very inviting. You have the impression that you are in the untidy staff wing. The outside of the trash can was very dirty, no toilet roll holders. The service staff didn't understand German well. You had to speak English. The parts of the pizza that weren't burnt on top or bottom were actually very tasty, even if the tomatoes and basil were saved a lot. There is a lot of potential for improvement

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the order. I paid just under €63, the food arrived cold and the pizzas were completely overloaded with toppings. My friend's pizza actually only consisted of cheese, which was just too much of a good thing. And just under €18 for a pizza (from the specials) is really steep if it arrives cold and is way too overloaded. Unfortunately it was disappointing. :(

Delicious pizza and super friendly and friendly Italian staff!

The restaurant is almost a hundred meters from my apartment. I got a pizza from there twice, which wasn't satisfactory both times. The ground seemed a little soggy. Significantly cheaper frozen pizzas taste better. Perhaps this is due to the transport in the cardboard box, even if the journey is very short. That's why I wanted to try to eat something on site, which I couldn't do. After sitting down at one of the countless free tables outside, I was asked to go to reception to be seated. I stood there for several minutes and was largely ignored. Nobody seems to speak German there either. I ended up going to the nearby old gymnasium and was quickly treated to something.

Really very tasty pizza like in Naples. Unfortunately I have to deduct two points for the ambience. It's very narrow, very loud and the chairs are a bit uncomfortable in my opinion. But if you want a typically Italian ambience, this is the place for you. So you have to design it yourself 🙂 If you come late, you should definitely make a reservation.

The staff has always been super friendly. But the pizza was always too burnt on the edge and the topping was rather thin and bland. The Aperol Spritz was also more ice and water than anything else. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and drinks is too poor for the prices.

Rather not. The consistency of the pizzas and the taste leaves a lot to be desired.

It didn't suit my taste. I often walked through and saw so many people, so my curiosity was great. The disappointment too. The lasagna was a small portion and cold inside. Very bland in taste. My companion's pizza wasn't convincing at all either. There aren't even uniform tables inside, some of them are just garden tables with folding chairs. Zero atmosphere. I won't come again.

We ordered there to be picked up. We arrived about 20 minutes after the call and the pizza was ready straight away! We would have actually paid around €20, but ended up paying €25. Unfortunately, we didn't bring a receipt with us and we only noticed it when I was supposed to transfer the money for my pizza to my girlfriend. The pizza itself was very tasty, even though we seemed to have been ripped off by the employees…

My worst Italian pizza in Berlin ever. Pizza costs 15 euros which is almost the most expensive range in Berlin but indeed tastes like a cheap 5 euros pizza. Low quality ingredients and below average dough. The pizzas only look good but the taste 👎🏻. Probably they think only Italians can distinguish a good pizza from a bad one. The waiter(with blond tainted hair) is quite rude and unprofessional and has no idea about his job. Not to mention the chairs and the tables outside which are like a Spätkauf that are not even stable to cut a pizza on them. Luckily the area is full of good Pizzerias to choose and avoid such places.

Very typical food, a clean menu with surprising interpretations of Neapolitan cuisine and an exciting weekly menu; and the latter are real special offers and not just a selection from the usual menu. The service is friendly and attentive. The tables on the sidewalk are the chicest in Friedrichshain, and the location also offers plenty of walkers to admire each other.

Large vegetarian and some vegan offerings. Unfortunately no more vegan cheese for pizzas.

First the positive: the menu is huge and offers a lot of choice. The pizzas were richly topped with very good quality ingredients and tasted very good. The negative: the map is huge and can overwhelm you. The pizza was wonderfully crispy and fluffy on the edge, but very soggy on the inside, which made it difficult to eat. The tables outside were all very small and some were unsteady. If both of them order pizza at the table, it will be dangerous for the glasses. We tried using napkins to stabilize the table, but really that's something the host should keep in mind. The staff (some of them only spoke English) were unfortunately not very attentive, but friendly.

The best pizza in all of Berlin! I've lost count of the times I've ordered or eaten there directly and there's never been a time where I thought there's something better, because there isn't 😅 this Pizza is the best pizza ever! Even though I try to go elsewhere, I always find myself at the table saying there is no comparison with Spaccanapoli's pizza and this is a wonderful feeling. Every now and then the service is unpredictable and it takes a little patience but in the end everything can't be perfect!

No. Not a fan at all. I was there over a year ago and the pizza was delicious. I was there again at the weekend, but was extremely disappointed. The food arrived cold for several people. The table was dirty and sticky. That's not possible at such prices - no recommendation.

According to our taste, both pizzas we ordered were too burnt in places. We found the pizza toppings to be unloving. The service was fine, the waiting times were short. Update: We were very happy about the owner's customer-friendly comment, it speaks for itself. The ability to take criticism is important for a restaurateur. Of course I eat my pizza if it's not completely inedible. The rest of the pizza also tasted burnt, not just the last part. I'm not the only one in the reviews who has a problem with the dough being too dark. But I wouldn't solve the problem either; I would rather attack the authors of the reviews. At least the answers from the owner have entertainment value.

Never again! The “owner” (fake blonde hair) is so unprofessional and rude to the guests. You don’t need to go to his restaurant to notice, you can just read his replies to the reviews. But I have to say that the Italian waitress is so nice and friendly.

Well, what can you say. The pizza itself is really great. Great dough, suitable topping, texture and doneness are perfect. The rest is more like: “We play a bit of a restaurant or delivery service”. The service is at least very attentive and the language is authentically Italian. The ambience is rather unspectacular, even simple. The menu, which is extremely carelessly designed, contains the perfect pizzas. It's worth it for the pizza. The Aperol and the tiramisu are good, the espresso is a bit too thin. Next time a ristretto and of course another pizza 🍕

Absolutely below average for Berlin gastro standards. Uncomfortable seating atmosphere outside - wanted to be chic, but didn't succeed (black glass tables that are stabilized with cardboard, strangely long text on the tables not to sit down until asked). Pizza burnt, well beyond the normal and proper level of the usual dark bubbles on Neapolitan pizza! In the middle there are some spots that are turning to ash. No recommendation.

Really mega good pizza from owners from Italy. There isn't a salami pizza on the menu that is as authentic. Of course they would be available upon request. A particularly delicious dessert from Sicily (Baba) is also available.
