Soul Tikka in Wiesbaden

I had a mango lassi and a samosa bowl with chickpeas. I can't complain. Tastier food.

The ambiance isn't very appealing and doesn't really suit the restaurant's style. The menu is small, but the selection is good. The food is tasty, and the portions are relatively large. The price-performance ratio is definitely good. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

We were so looking forward to dinner here, but unfortunately, we were completely disappointed. I wouldn't eat here again, even if it were free. We ordered Classic Tikka Masala with chicken and Spicy Spinach Caramel with prawns, along with two drinks. The first was okay, but not particularly tasty; the rice was simply bland, and the tikka masala lacked much flavor. And the prawns were so bad they were almost impossible to eat. All for about €50, and it didn't taste good.

We arrived at the restaurant with great anticipation because we had heard so many good things from friends. Unfortunately, this was quickly dampened when we were told that our online reservation (including reservation confirmation) could only be seen by the manager and that they wouldn't know anything about these reservations on site and should simply call. No apologies for this system error. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the ambiance is quite pleasant, but the service was rather unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. No one asked if we wanted any more drinks, just a half-hearted "Was everything OK?" when clearing the table. The menu is very small, with no alcoholic drinks and only a handful of non-alcoholic options. Naan, raita, or other Indian dishes are missing. The dishes are okay, but in terms of taste, they are significantly inferior to many other Indian restaurants in Wiesbaden and are too expensive. Unfortunately, we can only confirm what other recent reviews have said: it was probably a good place once, but now it's rather below average. What a shame.

Nice Insta location. Chic decoration, card and prices. Unfortunately, the taste is not at all defined. The samosas were okay, the daal bowler was almost boring (the rice was tasteless, the salad didn't match the daal) and the mango curry... well... like a curry without mango. The mango lassi is also disappointing, concentrate + water? Two stars because it was probably boring but edible. Still, that was our last visit to this restaurant, regardless of the good Insta coverage

I give 1 star because nowhere could I have read that the restaurant would be closed today. After all, you can simply make a reservation for tonight on their website. We came all this way for nothing. So what do you do with this? Too bad about this.

I myself read in the "Consumer Window Hessen" that it says: "Several containers that were kept ready for storing food were contaminated because they were stored in an area that was contaminated with mouse droppings. The cutting board was stored in unhygienic conditions (standing on the floor), so that contamination of the food that came into contact with it could not be reliably ruled out. Food containers were stored on the floor, which are usually also placed on the work surfaces during the work process. This meant that there was the risk that germs could be transferred to food during the further work process and contaminate it. Food was brought into circulation that was stored under disgusting conditions.” This is really borderline.

We had made an online reservation for 7 p.m. today and arrived on time. Upon arrival, however, we were told that a large group was already there, so we would either have to leave or wait a very long time. When we pointed out our reservation, we were told that they couldn't see online reservations and that nothing could be done at this time. It would be better to call. I can't comment on the food, of course, but the first impression is certainly ruined.

We had reserved a table online for this evening at 7:30 p.m. When we arrived, we were immediately informed that the kitchen was about to close. When we asked why the signs and website were being updated, we were simply told that the manager had been told about it several times. There was nothing more he could do for us... Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience!

I went here several times 2+ Years ago and it was amazing... a recent repeat visit was beyond disappointing. Now you have to order at the counter, the naan looks nothing like it should, everything is more expensive, no more alcohol. I'm not sure if management changed or what, but I am sad that one of the better Indian places in town has made such terrible changes.

I made an online reservation for Friday at 8 p.m. and received confirmation immediately. When we arrived at Soul Tikka on time, we were told that the kitchen would close at 8 p.m. and we wouldn't be able to get anything to eat. I asked how that could be, and the answer was, "It happens very often; our chef hasn't updated the website yet."

We recently visited an Indian restaurant and were very satisfied overall. The atmosphere was pleasant and authentic. The food was excellent! Every dish was freshly prepared, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. We particularly liked the wide variety of dishes – from mild to spicy, there was something for every taste. We tried various curries and naan bread, and everything was cooked to perfection. The service was fast and efficient. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always available to answer questions or offer recommendations. There were no long waits. The prices were absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food. The portion sizes were also generous, so no one went hungry. Overall, it was a very successful visit. Anyone who loves Indian food or wants to try it for the first time should definitely visit this restaurant. We will definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Significantly reduced menu as to what is available on the web. And even then not everything is available but you're only told once you ask for it. No poppadoms, no naan bread, no beer with alcohol. Portions are good, but food is way too spicy - sure that could be just me but medium spicy shouldn't make my eyes water. Very awkward experience on a Wednesday night.

I ended up there via NeoTaste. Menu was heavily reduced (actually just curry) but the starter was very good. Potion size very good Service also good, but unfortunately in the end they pushed for a 5 star rating.

An Indian restaurant for Indian food lovers

We went there spontaneously today and will definitely come back. Very tasty food and really great service. Very nice.

I have to reduce my rating by two stars after repeated visits. The concept has been adapted and you now have to order at the counter. It took a while before we were informed of this, even though the store was quite empty. The basic dishes without additional meat or vegetables (!!!) end up being just rice with sauce and far too expensive for that. The taste of the food was quite good, although the fried onions in the rice were totally inappropriate. The portions have also become noticeably smaller. My subjective feeling: the music was absolutely terrible and made the visit even more unsatisfactory. Conclusion: Quality and ambience like a snack bar, prices like an upscale restaurant. That doesn't add up.

Uncomfortable atmosphere with loud, inappropriate music. You have to order and pay at the counter. Food is okay, but the price/performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. With the curry you even have to order the vegetables separately as a side dish. This means that if you not only want sauce with rice, but also vegetables and meat, it will be expensive fun! The concept should definitely be reconsidered. We won't be coming back again.

The food is okay, but nothing special. The store is totally uncomfortable and drafty, and the staff is completely unmotivated. We were the only customers and still had to come to the counter to order. You don't have to understand it.

Hospitable restaurant with delicious food! The restaurant was very clean and the food was extremely tasty. I was particularly impressed by the friendly, polite and fast service from the staff. Highly recommended!

The ambience is good and the service is satisfactory. The food, however, is not great. We ordered Dal Makhani, the dal was extremely undercooked and the tomato flavor was completely overpowering the dish making the dish only 'look' like Dal Makhani, but not taste like it.

We ordered Dal Makhni and Matar Paneer for our lunch. The food was served within 5-10 minutes of ordering which anyone who knows Indian food knows that making a dishes requires more time, which gave us the suspicion that it’s pre-made food that they are selling for a preposterous 16€ per dish!! Furthermore the dishes themselves were severely underwhelming. The lentils in the Daal were undercooked and raw and the matar paneer was edible but tasteless. This place feels like a scam with the high prices and terrible food quality.

The quality of the food is very low, especially given how expensive it is. The Dal Makhni was the worst I ever had. The lentils were basically raw/very undercooked and didn't feel so safe to eat so I left most of them, the taste was also inauthentic. Don't go there if you care about Indian food.

Everyone there is really nice and the restaurant is also very nice. However, the curry is very watery and only tastes like very little :/ what a shame and the vegetables weren't really tasty either 😬

There were two of us there. My partner liked his paneer masala and the papadum was also very good. However, the spinach and vegetable curry and the dal were not particularly good and hardly authentic. I would also like the atmosphere and furnishings in a medium-priced Indian restaurant to be a little more authentic and higher quality than open pressboard table edges and plastic flowers. I wouldn't come here again, even if the waiter was very friendly.

After my last dining experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend Soul Tikka. After a lentil daal, I had an extremely unpleasant night with a stomach bug and then contacted Soul Tikka via Google Messenger. The owner of the restaurant promised to give me the money back, which has not happened to date (6 weeks later). Hygiene is 0 stars, as is customer service.

Our food was extremely tasty and the service was excellent. We felt extremely well looked after and very welcome. Open and humorous service, very customer oriented. The extensive vegan selection is also great, each of us found what we were looking for. We will be back definitely!! :)

The food is really tasty but hardly authentic. There are a lot of fried foods, but the Tikka was unfortunately sold out. Unfortunately the food is not typically Indian. It seems to me that the food should be more aimed at European tastes than being authentic and typically Indian.

We had the homemade fried paneer, it was delicious!

Tandori Chicken was chicken pieces stuck to a cast iron pan without much flavor. Very clear and overpriced. Spinach curry was also bland.

The place and service are really great. Eating moderately. Dry shrimp with lots of breading, rice and a little salad didn't make my heart beat faster for the price paid. Too bad the naan underneath the prawns was hard. I love Indian food, but this was a fast food version of it at an exorbitant price. But the service was really great and the lemonades were also very tasty. Worth a visit, maybe I made the wrong (most expensive) choice. According to their statements, the others were satisfied.

The food was great, the ambience and service were super friendly and relaxed. The menu offers a large selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes without losing the overview. The homemade lemonades were a hit when it came to our choice of drinks.

Das stylische Ambiete hatte hier - entgegen meiner bisherigen Erfahrungen - keinen negativen Einfluss auf das authentischen Essen. Die nette junge Dame vom Service beriet uns fachkundig und freundlich. Das hat heutzutage leider Seltenheitswert. Die Preise sind insb. in Anbetracht der aktuellen Lage (Inflation, erneute Anhebung der MwSt im Janaur 2024) durchaus im Rahmen.

Very centrally located restaurant in the City. The ambience and whole restaurant setup is pretty nice. The service personnel was also very friendly and helpful regarding that we were celebrating 🎉 birthday Party with 8 people there. Coming to the Taste of the food. The starters were pretty good with three different types of dips which was tasty 😋 also. But the main course (Thali) was pretty much 😞 disappointing. We ordered 🐔 Chicken, Lamb 🐑 and different menus but it all tasted almost same and not so authentic as from the perspective of the Asian tongue 👅 itself. Naan didn't feel fresh it was hard and the currys were also not up to the mark.

Had the tikka masala and I don’t know what the hell this was but it sure wasn’t Indian food. Wasn’t good, my personal opinion.

Absolute failure and extremely unappetizing. The curry was super watery and just didn't taste good. The rice felt old, warmed up and garnished with super disgusting fried onions. Just why? 😂 But it goes well with the “Indian” campfire on the TV and the loud chart music. The 1 1/2 naan breads (probably some were left over from the previous guest) tasted greasy and old. The salad seriously used the sweet and sour sauce that Asian restaurants serve with spring rolls. 😂 This is not salad dressing. Not really. After looking into the kitchen I stopped laughing a bit. Look for yourself. Over €50 (of course it was still expensive) gone. The staff wasn't really interested in feedback, but we gave it anyway. More than an “Oh, we’re sorry. Should I pack the rest?” wasn’t there. 🤦‍♂️ Definitely not a recommendation. 👎

We waited over 40 minutes for the food. The food was anything but good. The naan bread was old, the korma was totally watery and the rice was musty. The plates arrived dirty. 50€ for the bin.

There is a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan food. The food was very tasty and you could choose the level of spiciness yourself. The space was nice and, above all, very tidy/clean. The young waitress was incredibly attentive and kind!! Always my pleasure!

I don't usually write bad reviews, but in this case I can't help it. My friend and I were really looking forward to Indian food in the shop, the first thing you notice is no authentic atmosphere in the shop, the waiter is wearing Hawaiian flowers (what does that have to do with India???) Yes, okay, we ordered a starter and two main courses. Both starters and main courses were tasteless and carelessly cooked and served (what do fried onions do on rice????), all in all very dry and inedible food (my samosas in the samosa bowl only tasted of pure oil, that's probably what happened). the cook does not inform exactly that after frying the food for the second or third time, it absorbs all the oil and nothing of any other taste remains) We are intrigued by the 5 star reviews, this was the worst Indian restaurant we have ever eaten at. Save your money.

Since I'm constantly looking for food that meets my high standards as well as my intolerances and preferences, I try it out. The Soul Tikka is definitely on my list: definitely go again! The service was very good. The young, motivated employee was very courteous, knew her stuff and was super quick and friendly. The ambience is rather plain and simple, but gives the whole thing a flair: everyone is welcome here. The food was very fresh, super tasty and authentic. It wasn't layered with flavor enhancers or pushers, but real, fresh and pure. I really appreciate that - like homemade, so to speak. The portions are absolutely appropriate and so are the prices. I ate the samosas and the okra dish (vegan). I love okra and where else can you get it - my wish to replace the eggplant with zucchini was immediately fulfilled. The only drawback (I'm pretty picky about this) was that the restaurant smelled too much like food and it got on your hair and clothes. However, it is an issue that many restaurants have and doesn't bother everyone. Thank you for the wonderful experience in your home 💫

The atmosphere is nice and the service is very friendly, courteous and quick. I had a curry with chicken, which tasted good. However, my health didn't feel good at all afterwards. A little research then showed that the restaurant had received complaints from the health department. The restaurant is at a good location in Wiesbaden. However, it does not taste a lot like authentic Indian food. If you’re an Indian, you will be able to find the difference and not like the food. However, all the native Germans seemed to be having a god time enjoying the food because obviously they dont know what authentic Indian food tastes like. Not a good food experience overall.

Top! In Hanau hat es an einem guten indischen Restaurant gefehlt - nun ist auch diese kulinarische Lücke geschlossen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und authentisch. Man wird gefragt, welche Schärfe man bevorzugt. Der Wunsch wird dann auch berücksichtigt. Die Karte bietet viel Abwechslung, konzentriert sich dabei aber auf die indische Küche, was mir gut gefällt. Die Portionen sind sehr gut (gerade bei den Paneer Gerichten gibt es eine üppige Portion des indischen Käse).

I would rate the food 0 stars if I could. The “butter chicken” was very far from authentic Indian food… or even remotely tasty. The chicken tasted rubbery and had no flavor whatsoever. The sauce tasted like some kind of chili that was quickly mixed up in the kitchen before being served. The naan bread was very stiff. I normally never write reviews but I wanted to make sure nobody else wastes their money like I did.

Das Essen war außergewöhnlich lecker und die Speisekarte beinhaltete Gerichte, die man sonst beim Inder nicht findet. Peis- Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Weiter so..., bestimmt kommen wir gerne wieder.

Leckeres indisches Essen , sehr freundliche Bedienung. Der Außenbereich ist klein, aber nett. Der Innenbereich lädt richtig ein und sieht sehr gemütlich aus. Klare Empfehlung, wir werden auf jeden Fall immer wieder kommen.

Das Essen war einfach nur genial. Ich hatte ein Mango Curry von der Tageskarte/ little spicey👌😋 Ein Traum. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und überaus freundlich und sympathisch 😊 Erlebt man so selten. Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Mehr als empfehlenswert der Laden 😍

Sehr leckeres Essen, ganz ganz liebes und fürsorgliches Personal und wegen eines besonderen Festes in Indien gab es sogar eine Nachspeise aufs Haus…in letzterem hätte ich am liebsten gebadet 😃🙏🏼😂

Das Restaurant sieht schön aus und das Personal war auch sehr freundlich. Allerdings fanden wir das Essen jetzt nicht so gut. Ich hatte Chicken Korma mit Reis, Mango lassi und garlic Naan und meine Begleitung Lamb Korma mit haushemachtem Eistee. Das essen hat leider nicht authentisch geschmeckt. Als nicht Inder findet man es bestimmt gut, aber weil wir das Essen kennen, waren wir leider echt enttäuscht… 2 Sterne gibts trotzdem wegen der schönen deko und weil es Reis kostenlos als Nachschlag gibt.

Sehr schönes indisches Restaurant mit einer riesen großen Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen. Der Service ist hervorragend und man bekommt wenn man es möchte alles erklärt. Die Portionen sind groß und Reis wird kostenlos nachserviert. Der Mangolassi ist erstklassig und sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr nette Bedienung, die sich hervorragend mit glutenfreiem Essen ausgekannt hat. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Mittagstisch Portion war leider sehr übersichtlich, von satt war ich weit entfernt.

In Ewartung eines schönes Abends in lebendiger Atmossphäre, lustigen nettem Servicepersonal und vor allem leckerem Essen habe ich meine Familie dorthin eingeladen. Keine Erwartung wurde erfüllt - der Laden war dreckig, mäßig besucht, ein einziger Mann im Service...?? Das Essen war nicht frisch. Leider ist mir auch 2 Tage später noch übel. Den Anderen Zwei Gott sein Dank nicht.

Wow, einfach nur lecker!!! Wollte das erste mal indisches Essen probieren und es hat mich alles andere als enttäuscht. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Hauptgang war alles Top. Das sage ich als Essensliebhaber. Komme sehr gerne wieder vorbei. Top bitte macht weiter so!!!

The chicken biryani is a must try! I'm from south India where you will come across a variety of Biryanis. But the Biryani I had over here is something I definitely liked.

Toll. Hier hat jemand seine Hausaufgaben gemacht. Das Ambiente ist heimelig, die Servicekräfte auf Zack, in der Küche stehen echte Inder und das Essen ist köstlich und großzügig. Das wird nicht unser letzter Stammtisch dort gewesen sein. Danke für dieses nette Erlebnis

Man sollte hier kein authentisches indisches Essen erwarten. Wir hatten Chicken Tikka Masala. Das Hühnchen war völlig übergart, staubtrocken, mit einer viel zu würzigen (nicht scharfen) Tunke zugekleistert. Das Naan war aus industrieller Produktion, nicht selbstgemacht. Ein Tandoor ist hier wohl nicht vorhanden. Ich hatte einen Signature Mocktail. Dieser bestand nur aus Zucker. Es gibt bessere Alternativen, sogar in Wiesbaden.

Wir sind zufällig hier gelandet, weil uns der Regen überrascht hat. Leider musste ich mein erstes Essen reklamieren, weil es mit Kokos bestreut war, was ich nicht vertrage. Ich habe sofort einen Ersatz angeboten bekommen. Ohne Kokosflocken war der Hähnchen-Mango-Salat hervorragend. ;-) Kommen gerne wieder!

Second visit to this excellent Indian restaurant. Food variety and quality is superb. Very fresh and high quality - had the aloo chat, flying popcorn, chicken biryani and lamb Korma. Would highly recommend. The service and welcome from the owner adds to an all round fantastic restaurant.

Ate here last week, staff couldn’t of been more attentive & the food was such a pleasant surprise. Fresh & tasty with a wonderful blend of spices, not too hot, just perfect. Can’t wait to return
