SORA - Vietnamese Vegetarian/Vegan Cuisine in Berlin

The dish Com Cari (30) was very tasty. The soup was flavorful and was perfect for the rice and vegetables. The matcha shake was amazing, it was super tasty. The matcha taste wasn't too bitter and the shake was just good.

Very delicious food. Definitely recommended. So if you want to experience a culinary delight and a taste explosion, definitely go for a nice meal there. Ah and not to forget it is a vegan and vegetarian restaurant. Nice staff and pleasant service. Remarkable family business. Food wasn't that good. Was disappointed. I've eaten very good vegan Asian food before, but this one really caught my attention. not convinced. The curry was very watery and had hardly any taste and the vegetables, especially the pumpkin, were still very hard. Unfortunately, the Ha Cao had hardly any taste either. The service was okay, but the waiter seemed quite annoyed and unmotivated. Another negative thing was that you can't pay by card. Don't know if they're trying to avoid taxes here. Wouldn't come here again.

The coconuts sauce and vegetables are incredibly delicious, the food is definitely highly recommended

Schmeckt sehr gut, ist vegetarisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Gemüse ist immer knackig, tolle Saucen, besonders das Essen im Tontopf ist empfehlenswert. Der Seetang-Salat als Vorspeise ist so reichlich das er eigentlich eine Mahlzeit darstellt. Bedienung ist freundlich. Abends und am Wochenende ist manchmal eine Reservierung ratsam.

There is definitely delicious food here. All the dishes I've eaten so far have been delicious and filling. There is also definitely worse food in vegan and vegetarian restaurants (even at higher prices). And I'm not talking about fancy creations. Service is a good 3. Always there and always asking questions, but not too much. The ambience is also a 3 in a positive sense because it is nothing extraordinary and the outside area does not have a nice view. Normal Berlin. Still mostly quiet. If you don't feel like "bright and loud", then the interior is well suited. Dark and warm colors bring you calm. Because the food counts more and the ambience and service are good, I give it 4 stars

We were traveling as a national team after a fruitful day. The food was good, the drink too, we felt comfortable there. I had udon noodles and a small appetizer. Very good service.

Ich wohne nicht weit vom Sora und gehe gern zu zweit, mit Freunden und Berlin-Besuchern hin. Bisher waren alle begeistert. Die Karte ist relativ übersichtlich, aber wirklich alles darauf ist sehr lecker (habe fast alles probiert, zumindest bei Freunden vom Teller genascht. Sehr empfehlenswert: der Tontopf mit Seitan und der Seetang-Salat...der gilt als Vorspeise, ist aber eigentlich schon ein Hauptgericht was die Menge angeht. Zudem ist die Atmosphäre schön (vor allem der große Holztisch im hinteren Bereich) und die Bedienungen sind immer freundlich und entspannt.

Well I have to say, I have rarely eaten such a delicious starter (No. 22 Soup €11.50), it was super fresh and had a lot of ingredients. For the main course there was No. 29 for €12 and it was also extremely tasty. We'd love to go there again. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Was pretty tasty, all orders 5, 10, 24 were pretty good and am curious to try more. Only thing that could be more comfortable to see a clear differentiation between vegan and vegetarian meals, otherwise should just read description. And beside very tasty special dishes on top, salad and noodles were not very special and tasty but altogether it was very good and can recommend

Been here for the first time and I'm really excited! The food is extremely good and the value for money is unbeatable. A vegan Phò with various mushrooms, tofu and Schnick Schnack €11. Nobody can and should complain today! I was certainly not the first and last time here, but the first and I will always come back 😅❤️ After all, I want to try a lot more 🤗🤗🤗 Full visit and consumption recommendation ☝🏽

By far THE WORST restaurant experience I’ve ever had!! The food was mediocre at most (rather cold, only a few veggies, cheap sauces). When we were told in the end that you could only pay cash we had to go and withdraw money from a nearby bank (7-minute walk). The waiter however started screaming and insulting us suggesting that we didn’t want to pay. We were in complete shock. What is wrong with that guy?! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Food was really tasty with fresh herbs, salad and not too oily, which I really appreciate in restaurants. The only thing missing was a smile and a bit of friendliness from a waitress lady. We didn't really feel welcome.

I ordered beer and a main dish and asked also for tap water. "We don't do tap water". I insisted because I do not want to consume unecessary packaging for no reason by buying water. The owner did not agree to give me water although I already had a meal+beer. Unbelievable!!

I have never eaten a similarly good vegan udon xao anywhere else! I don't know what they put in the sauce other than other places, but it's perfectly balanced. I always come back just for this dish. :)

We were there couple of years ago and it was nice. We visited there last week and it was terrible. I guess the owner changed. The water who claimed he is the owner was so rude to us. Didn't want to give us water although we ordered drinks & food. On top of all the food was so blqnd. My curry tasted like curry water. Really disappointing. The owner was so rude that it makes me wonder how this place stay open. I guess it's only a matter of time.

Essen kalt, Aufwärmung in Microwelle. Tofu unter aller Sau. Fader Geschmack. Es werden andere Getränke gebracht, als bestellt. Im Februar kaum geheizt.

Überdurchschnittlich gutes (vegetarisches!) vietnamesisches Restaurant. Tolles Restaurant mit angenehmer Atmosphäre und stimmigen Gesamtkonzept. Ich bin hier mehrmals die Woche oder hole mir etwas to go. Mittlerweile habe ich mich einmal quer durch die Speisekarte gegessen und wurde nie enttäuscht. Die Preise trotz der Erhöhung letzter Woche immer noch fair. Kein Glutamat, keine vorgekochten oder aufgewärmten Gerichte, sondern immer frisch.

Komme seid Jahren immer wieder gern. In der Deutschen Hauptstadt gibt es einige Asiatische Lokalitäten, das ist eines meiner Liebsten. Für Veganer allein der Auswahl wegen ein Traum und auch für Nicht-Veganer ein Geschmackserlebnis.

Sehr unfreundliche Bedingung die nicht auf Wünsche eingeht und zuhört. Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert für drei Leute und sie konnte mir nicht zeigen welcher reserviert ist und hat nicht verstanden, dass ich reserviert hatte.

Die gebackene Banane ein herrlicher Nachtisch. Freundlicher flinker Sevice und authentisches Wohlfühlambiente. Empfehlenswert!

Sehr leckere Speisen in guter Qualität. Schönes Ambiente, Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Der Matcha Shake war klasse, nicht zu süß, nicht zu kräftig. Die gebackene Banane 🍌 ist ein gutes Dessert. Tiger 🐅 Beer mit 4 Euro zu teuer, verglichen mit anderen asiatischen Restaurants. Aus meiner Sicht gibt es jedoch zuwenig Speisen ohne Tofu. Sehr leckeres veganes Essen. Ich hatte eine Kokosmilch-Suppe (Nr.21) und kann diese nur empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle super nett und hilfsbereit, die Atmosphäre war lauschig und entspannt, hundefreundlich ist es auch👍🐶 Wir kommen gerne wieder 👏❤️

Sehr gute Alternative zum überfüllten Madami! Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet ausreichend Sitzplätze. Im Sommer kann draußen gegessen werden. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Empfehlung des Tages: Mangosalat! <3

War nun schon zum zweiten Mal dort, alle Gerichte wirklich lecker. Nicht ganz geheimer Geheimtipp: der Pfannkuchen, der als Vorspeise bezeichnet wird, aber locker auch als Hauptgericht durchgehen könnte!

Ich bin in ihren Udon verliebt, die anderen Gerichte sind aber auch wirklich empfehlenswert (ich empfehle besonders den Sora Cari). Ich komme immer sehr sehr gern wieder ❤️

Sora is my fav restaurant in Berlin. I've tried many Vietnamese dishes not only in Germany but also in other countries and I'd still pick Sora as the best when it comes to Viet food. My husband and I visit it every time we're in Berlin! I always order the Udon Xao (number 29), he gets the My Quang (21) and we share a Cha La Lot (6) as an appetizer... all of them are so rich in flavor and every ingredient matches perfectly! 🥰 I couldn't recommend these dishes more 💚

Tolles Restaurant. Endlich könnte man als Vegetarier jedes Gericht probieren. Also sehr leckeres Essen, hausgemachte Limonaden, tolles Ambiente und nettes Service Personal

Die gebratene Teigtaschen, die Frühlingsrollen und die Nudeln haben alle wirklich gut geschmeckt. Schmeckt wie gut wie immer, sehr empfehlenswert.

Die besten Frühlingsrollen der Stadt! Mit viel Liebe sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit vielen kleinen Details, die man erst beim dritten, vierten Mal hinschauen entdeckt. Die Karte ist komplett vegetarisch und vegan und reicht von Salaten und Suppen über Reis- und Nudelgerichte bis hin zu leckeren Nachspeisen. Auch für den kleinen Hunger gibt es einige Optionen. Viele Gerichte sind mit Saitan oder Tofu zubereitet. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und die Küche super fix! Würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :)

Waren jetzt 2 mal dort essen und müssen leider sagen das das Essen geschmacklich nicht überzeugt. Alles etwas fade ...schade!

El camarero nos dijo que en 40 minutos cerraban la cocina, por lo que pedimos rápido. Mientras comíamos nos iban cogiendo platos de la mesa con comida y nos llegaron a decir "comer más rápido que cerramos", llevábamos 20 min con la comida en la mesa. El trato muy desagradable.

Freundliches Personal, sympathischer Laden, Essen sehr ok (viel Gemüse in Gerichten mit Gemüse und Salat, das muss in Berlin lobend erwähnt werden) aber leider waren alle drei bestellten Gerichte (19, 23, 27) sehr, sehr fettig. So greasy, dass wir obwohl Fastfood-gewöhnte Veganer_innen sie nicht fertig essen konnten :'(. Das macht die Speisen natürlich auch lecker aber irgendwann ist es einfach zu viel Öl. Das in Kombi mit viel Zucker an Tofu und Seitan war too much. Werden in nächster Zeit woanders essen.

Wer ist laut und "lebendig" mag, der ist hier richtig. Das Essen war in Ordnung, hätte für meinen Geschmack etwas mehr Würze vertragen. Der Service war so mittelprächtig.

This is unrelated to dining experience. Just an overall unfriendly encounter. I tried to return a reusable container here as they are ask a partner. My container was rinsed and emptied but still greasy. So upon return the guy was like no we cannot take it cuz it’s not clean. Then I said can I then wash it here and return ? And then again he said no. I then walked a couple doors down to a cafe and they accepted my containers. I know I could have cleaned the containers totally but as a restaurant, wouldn’t they wash the containers all again before using them again ?
