Wow! The hummus here is amazing. We had the jackfruit hummus and msabaha. Even if you're a meat eater, you'll appreciate the quality and flavor of their hummus. It puts the hummus offerings on Sonnenallee to shame! A must-try.

First of all: the worst vegan schvvarma I have ever eaten. I was in food heaven. The guys are friendly and super relaxed. Also give a recommendation if you don't know what to do next. We chose the Shvvarma with a portion of hummus and mushrooms with extra homemade hot sauce on the side. I swear I couldn't figure it out anymore. It tasted like a real schwarma. Even better. Really spicy, the bread was delicious, lots of sesame sauce and delicious sour snacks like pickles, olives and green peppers on the side. The taste of the mushrooms in the hummus was also top notch. At first we thought these would be such small portions, but then we didn't quite finish the hummus and took it with us. I also caught a glimpse of the plate for 2 and will have that next time. Definitely recommended 🤤 we'll be back!

Best shop in the neighborhood. Always friendly, always tasty, always a nice conversation with the staff. 5 stars are more than deserved.

Unfortunately, the store didn't entirely convince us. The hummus and the pita bread were at best average good, but definitely not a 4.9. The service was very friendly, but the toilet and the area near the sink were really unpleasantly dirty and with the plastic chairs on the street it was more reminiscent of a snack bar (not bad, you just have to be prepared for it). We had Hummus Shavvarma and Hummus Eggplant, perhaps the wrong choice because the shop itself smelled incredibly delicious. It's a shame, we didn't eat. :(

Absolutely delicious… one of those meals you never forget about. Probably the best shakshouka I have ever had in my life. Staff is really great and warm. I tell all my friends visiting Berlin that they have to go to Akkawy. Can’t wait to be back in Berlin and eat here again!

Great vegetarian restaurant, I had the cauliflower hummus, and my friend had the eggplant sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals. One pita is not enough, BUT it wasn’t expensive to add another pita. Overall, super enjoyable, would recommend.

The most lip-smacking, well packaged and enjoyable take away meal I have had in Berlin. The restaurant is simple, but nice & comfortable and the people working there are pleasant, so I would imagine that eating at the restaurant would be great too. Although, I picked food to-go. The food was wholesome & delicious. I picked the Akkawy for two with Shavarma hummus that has jackfruit in it (you can see in the picture), which was a very good portion and could even be shared by three people. The variety was just perfect to feel indulgent and yet full with adequate quantity. Everything was so authentic & scrumptious, even if you’re not a vegetarian or vegan, you’ll not miss meat & love the food. I plan to go again & again.

We went here to try the vegan shawarma hummus dish, which was good, but decided to also try one of their combi dishes. We went for the mushrooms in tamarind sauce hummus dish and it was delicious! It comes with a side of their baked cauliflower, which was also very tasty, creamy and an absolute delight. The owners are very friendly and the place is small but welcoming, with also a few small tables available outside. Very pleased to have found this little gem.

We didn't find a vegan shawarma in all of Berlin - but here! It was super tasty. Hummus is super creamy and delicious and the chef is very nice.

4.9 star rating from more than 800 reviews? We tried that! OMG that was delicious. We chose the platter for two people and everything was delicious. From fresh pita bread to salad. And the hummus shakshuka 🤯 is sooooo good. So it's no wonder that I also have to leave it five stars.

I eat here every now and then, and the spicy shashuka surrounded by hummus is just great, even for a flexitarian like me! The flat bread served with it is not really my thing, but it's a matter of taste. The ambience doesn't invite you to linger, but you forget about your surroundings while eating.

One of the best olaces to have oriental dishes and Shakshuka for sure. With a great service 😍 highly recommended.

When I want hummus, I come to Akkawy. The best hummus I've eaten out so far. Msabaha is particularly worth it. But the classic hummus with mushrooms is also great. I think the other dishes were okay, but they didn't make such a lasting impression on me. As an improvement, I would recommend better, perhaps homemade fermented side dishes and your own pita bread; I think they are purchased goods. Julian, the owner, is very nice and easy to talk to. Unfortunately, the catering I had once ordered was canceled unannounced, but we worked through the matter with good will and resolved it. The ambience is okay, I think the place could be decorated even nicer and create a more cozy atmosphere!

Some of the tastiest food one can find in Berlin. The jackfruit shawarma - you have to try it. The harissa is so well balanced, I could eat a whole bucket. Oh and the hummus, well yes - it is as good as people say. Even better.

I do love the food! I guess I‘ve tried by now almost all dishes and can recommend all of them. The quality and the quantity are great. I do love the service especially coming with my daughter now almost 1.5 years is a great pleasure as she is also always welcome. Der Humus war sehr gut und dazu gab's einen wirklich sehr sehr leckeren rote beete Salat. Einer der besten Humus der Stadt, meiner Meinung nach. Ein freundlicher Mitarbeiter mit sehr beruhigender Stimme hat uns extra eine wickelstation in der Toilette improvisiert, damit wir unser Baby wickeln konnten und mit dem Hund durften wir auch rein. The best hummus I know in town. Add some very kind service and a cosy atmosphere. Msabaha was love at first bite and hard to move away from but, recently I've tried the Akkawy Plate - in which one can choose which type of hummus they want - and it will be my "dish to go for" for a while. Hummus lovers, do yourselves a favor!
