Bonvivant Cocktail Bistro in Berlin

Excellent experience. Great staff, exceptional service and amazing food! They try to take into consideration all of your dietary restrictions and alter food as per requirements. My favourites were green Shakshuka, pancakes and the cocktails. Definitely coming back!

Terrible service to the point had to walk out without ordering. Had a reservation, took a long while for anybody to even notice us and after making us wait at the door until 15 mins past the reservation time they offered us seats at the bar despite having a clearly empty table. Asked for the table and their response was it'll take them a while longer to clean it and they are popular and booked 3 weeks in advance. Have no idea what kind of response that was, but they clearly have no interest in actually satisfying their customers. Would not recommend if you actually value your time.

Didn't get food because Manager initially completely ignored us, then after 10 minutes offered seats at bar. We requested to be free table but were refused under excuse that it will take too long to clear table. And then we were told that we aren't only people and other people reserve 3 weeks in advance so they couldn't give us free table despite we had reservation. Never again. Cancelled my plan to have wedding event there.

A special place, just tried the brunch and it is absolutely worth the price. The service is fantastic.

Visiting this restaurant was a real gastronomic adventure for me. The amazing combination of flavors, the flawless presentation of the dishes and the attention to detail left a lasting impression. Each dish was a work of art and the service was a model of unobtrusive care. This evening showed that it is not just about food, but about true art that is worth experiencing at least once in your life.

Visited Bonvivant for brunch. Food was good but that’s it, nothing special or exciting, had higher expectations given the Michelin starred restaurant at the same venue. Quick service and friendly staff. Seating space is very narrow, small tables packed way too close to each other. Too loud to properly enjoy the brunch experience.

I don’t know why it has a Michelin star. Maybe dinner is better, brunch wasn’t worth going there. Food is ok, but not outstanding. There’re plenty of places without stars that serve better brunch. Service is ok, but, for example, we had an empty bottle of water standing on our table for half an hour. Again not a Michelin star level. I don’t think I will ever go there again and definitely not for a brunch.

In the evening, Michelin-starred cuisine with innovative cocktails. The best breakfast in town during the day at the moment. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict was the best ever. The drinks (iced tea, iced caramel latte) are smart, the service is relaxed and ultra friendly.

Frühstück in Berlin: da kann im Michelin Sternerestaurant ja nix schiefgehen… Weit gefehlt: Fast mürrische Begrüßung, da merkt man gleich, wie der Service abläuft. Man sah das Personal nie lächeln. Dann das wichtigste, das Essen. Es gab egg Benedikt in seiner einfachsten Form. Leider fast kalt serviert, das kann jedes Hotelfrühstück besser. Die Kartoffeln lauwarm frittiert und mit der gleichen hollandaise…das ist bei dem Anspruch zu wenig. Wieso bei der Aussage in der Karte, dass nur nachhaltige Lebensmittel verwendet werden, dann Ruinart Champagner serviert wird, erschließt sich mir nicht. Arg viel kommerzieller geht’s ja kaum noch… der von uns getrunkene Pinot Noir Sekt war allerdings hervorragend! Zahlen und raus, kein Platz zum verweilen…

und zwar um es gleich vorweg zu sagen: ausschließlich positiver Geschmacksüberraschungen! Aber der Reihe nach: Nachdem wir vor ein paar Monaten zu Viert an einem Wochenende zum Brunchen im Bonvivant waren, wollten wir natürlich auch einmal das volle Programm testen. Ein Abend zum Erholen nach den Weihnachtsfeiertagen sollte es sein und es so war es dann auch. Die Atmosphäre im Bonvivant ist locker und entspannt, das Personal durchweg eher jung, aber sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Eindecken der Tische ist sehr reduziert (man behält zB überwiegend sein Besteck), dieser zwanglose Ansatz soll aber offensichtlich dem Cocktail-Bistro Ansatz Rechnung tragen (wenn man unbedingt etwas meckern möchte, dann dass es direkt an den Fenstern im Winter ganz leicht "zieht"). Im Vordergrund stehen damit - und das völlig zu Recht - die Speisen und die sie begleitenden Getränke, und beides war/ist großartig! Ich behaupte von mir gerne eher im Team "Fisch/Fleisch" zu spielen und meiner Frau geht es ähnlich, im Bonvivant vermisst man beides aber keine Sekunde. Welche Fülle an (zT auch wirklich überraschenden) Aromen das Team um den Chef Niko aus Gemüse herauskitzelt ist schon sensationell. Es fällt mir schwer einzelne Gerichte herauszustellen, vielleicht waren die Gurke, der Sellerie mit Holzkohlebutter und der Laubporling (Hammer!) noch einen Tick besser als die anderen Gänge, wobei das die Robinienblüten zum Dessert zu Unrecht hinten anstellen würde ... :-). Die dazu angebotene Cocktailbegleitung (wir hatten beide die alkoholische Variante) war in dieser Form für uns ein echtes Novum, da wir sonst eher auf Wein zum Menü festgelegt sind. Sie passte allerdings bei jeden Gang sehr gut bis fantastisch (Dank an den Barkeeper Julik) und war so mit verantwortlich dafür, dass der Abend für uns ein echtes kulinarisches Highlight wurde. Ab dem neuen Jahr soll das Bonvivant dann übrigens vollständig vegan werden, bin gespannt, was dann aus den wirklich tollen Käsespätzle wird, aber auch dafür werden sie dort bestimmt etwas Neues finden!

Absolute favorite for vegetarian food in Berlin! Imaginative cuisine without showmanship, finely thought-out dishes, and the great non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment should also be highlighted. Attentive service and pleasant noise level in the restaurant.

Went there for Sunday brunch. The host was extremely kind, helpful and professional. We were seated in the separate room at a big round table with other guests. Loved the room and that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the restaurant. The food was good. We had the eggs benedict and the green shakshuka. The flavors were really rich and delightful. Unfortunately our eggs were overcooked, so the yolk wasn't runny. It didn't bother me enough to send rhe dish back, but it was pretty surprising since making good eggs seem basic for a place that serves brunch regardless of Michelin star. I had the espresso martini and another drink with basil foam. They were good but not outstanding. The lemonade, however, was really delicious! The chai latte was also great. I am glad we tried it, but the eggs and cocktails were underwhelming. The servers were nice tho!

As many other enthusiastic guests have already described, guests are offered a wonderful experience in a relaxed atmosphere by a very friendly and very enthusiastic team. It is absolutely understandable that Bonvivant won first place in the restaurant bar category this year. And the Michelin star for the culinary works of art from the kitchen is just as justified. We have been here several times and are already looking forward to our next visit to Bonvivant after this evening.

Wie es bereits viele andere, begeisterte Gäste beschrieben haben, wird hier in entspannter Atmosphäre von einem sehr freundlichen und sehr enthusiastischen Team den Gästen eine wunderbare Erfahrung geboten. Dass das Bonvivant in diesem Jahr den ersten Platz in der Kategorie Restaurantbar gewonnen hat, ist absolut nachvollziehbar. Und der Michelinstern für die kulinarischen Kunstwerke aus der Küche ist genauso gerechtfertigt. Wir waren hier bereits zum wiederholten Mal und freuen uns nach diesem Abend bereits auf unseren nächsten Besuch des Bonvivant.

Endroit cosy à la décoration branchée, étoilé Michelin , ça s'annonce bien...la carte indique brunch...que nenni, il s'agit d'une succession de plats végétariens proposés à la carte...pas mauvais mais loin d'un brunch...n'espérez pas un jus d'oranges frais ou pas...il n'y en a pas . The first time in a star restaurant was very, very pleasant. The vegetarian/vegan courses with non-alcoholic (0.0) accompaniment were a crucial criterion for us when choosing a restaurant and a great taste experience. The employees patiently answered all of our questions. We felt very comfortable!

A real treat! In addition, loving care that explains what is served with enthusiasm and almost poetically. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere in a great ambience. A fascinating variety of flavors from the first to the last course! This is a restaurant for a very special evening!

Dinner was truly an experience. Very creative and lovingly prepared dishes, interesting and well-coordinated cocktails, as well as a very friendly and well-informed team made the evening something very special! There is a small deduction for the somewhat uncomfortable sitting on the bench against the wall.

Bonvivant is an incredible vegetarian restaurant with two michelin stars and a non-pretentious atmosphere. I have eaten dinner and brunch here numerous times and every time has been wonderful - the food and drinks are delicious and locally sourced where possible. The decor is gorgeous, and the service and atmosphere are top-notch.

So far we have always been very happy at Bonvivant and have had a good time there, especially on special occasions. I once celebrated my birthday with my family in the separate room at the back and it was really excellent. Both the food and service were more than top. Yesterday we went there for brunch (once again for a special occasion) and were unfortunately very disappointed. What we would once call the best Eggs Benedict has unfortunately turned into a real disaster. The dish was completely drowned in sauce and had nothing to do with the quality we know from Bonvivant. I couldn't finish it because everything tasted like this sauce and the dish was incredibly heavy on the stomach. However, as before, the service responded flawlessly and we received two free drinks. What also bothered me a bit was that, despite explicitly stating our wish for a quiet table, they wanted to place us at the bar and we ended up getting a seat in the middle of the room. Accepting a few fewer guests would be good for the ambience, as it is really noisy. Dear Bonvivant team, we really want to come back because we have really appreciated your brunch so far. But please bring the kitchen back to the old quality standard!

Best brunch place in Berlin, and the food is just delicious.

We had the 6 course dinner here. Some very interesting taste combinations in the menu. Cocktails were creative and non-standard. Really nice place to try if you want something very non mainstream. And of course the He-man meme in the toilets was a very nice touch. Totally recommended!

Probably the best meal we've had in Berlin so far - absolutely and incredibly outstanding! Every single course was so exceptionally yummy, so delicate, so beautiful, and so creative. And not to pale against the food, the drink paring features equally delicious and innovative cocktails or mocktails - yes, they have an entire paring of alcohol-free drinks that are incredibly complex and tasty and also not so sweet, a very rare feat for mocktails. Service was both warm and efficient and came from the heart.

All around wow! The two of us came here for brunch and sat at the bar - so we could chat with the bartender and see everything. The service was great, attentive, competent and in a good mood, the food was great, very well thought out and well designed, simply something special. The prices are high, but completely justified. Personally, the food came a bit too quickly for me - so we only got our coffee while we were already eating, but it was still delicious. I'll definitely be back!

We came here to enjoy the evening menu and all I can say is that everything was perfect! I love the idea of ​​creating vegetarian/vegan star cuisine and the flavors were all fantastic. Super delicious brunch dishes, especially the egg benedict on the homemade brioche!! Very nice atmosphere and all in one a great restaurant. Service and operation also deserve praise.

We had one of the best brunches we've had in Berlin so far! The restaurant is designed to be very inviting and the very friendly and courteous service makes you feel very welcome here. The food was simply a dream - both in terms of taste and appearance. We'll definitely be back!

A wonderful location for brunch and relaxing, a great and attentive team, as well as a very tasty selection for brunch.

We were there for breakfast. Personally, we didn't find the dishes particularly good, everything was a bit cold, not very tasty, and drowned in sauce. Water costs extra. Waiters sometimes not very attentive. For example, we asked for coffee to be served with our meal, but it came well in advance. The coffee was also mediocre. We were placed outside even though it was 15 degrees or so, oh well. Even if it only cost half as much, we wouldn't come back again. Too bad.

I went there to celebrate my sister's birthday, ordering dining menu with cocktail tasting. First of all, superb personnel! We felt welcomed. The interior is modern, nice and clean, but something is lacking. Not very comfortable chairs and we spent there 4hrs. But food was great! So inspiring and creative. They show what can be done with vegetarian meals. Everything was beautiful, nice taste, especially celery dish and one with wasabi - crazy good! What was even more over the top were cocktails. They ideally complemented the dishes, but were good on its own as well. Great evening overall, I'd gladly come back 💖

The food was a let down here and left us feeling a bit sick. The flavors were too rich and the quality of the meal left me feeling a bit sluggish. I’m surprised they have a Michelin recommendation given the food quality. I think the concept is fine and atmosphere ok, but it just didn’t satisfy to justify a return

What a delightful experience celebrating our anniversary with their 6 course tasting. Every dish was prepared with so much creativity. The staff provided a lot of great detail about each dish which we appreciated so much. There was a drink pairing but we opted for wine that the staff recommended and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance was nice and lively. We sat at the bar and got to chat with others which we enjoyed. We also enjoyed their floral shirt uniform...added a very cute touch. We'll definitely return the next time we are in town.

We booked ahead of time. We sat for brunch and the food was great, original breakfast dishes. My cocktail was also great, the coffees as well. I recommend sitting outside for good views.

The bistro is absolutely recommended for a successful breakfast. The dishes, especially the eggs Benedict with miso hollandaise, are extremely tasty. The granola is also definitely worth a try. The quality and taste of the food easily reach star level. The service is in no way inferior: the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. If the water glass is almost empty, it will be refilled immediately and we will regularly ask whether everything is satisfactory or if there are still any wishes unfulfilled. The ambience is pleasant, although not exceptional. Overall, this restaurant offers excellent value for money and absolutely deserves its Michelin star. So if you want to enjoy a first-class breakfast at an affordable price, this is the right place for you.

Incredibly dirty and ugly place. Looks like pintrest board from 2009 that gives shisha bar or spati vibe and is really, really neglected. Food is greasy but decent.

I went with my friends and loved it so much that I booked it for another time to bring my husband :) Green Shaksuka came a bit later than others, so they brought in one more portion of potatoes just for good gesture! Espresso martini was the best one I had!

A very beautiful and aesthetic place, more expensive than average. The staff is very nice and positive. The only food I liked was the breakfast with poached eggs. The rest is done interestingly and beautifully, but not for everyone.

Brunch review** I was surprised by the food and service given the reviews and the Michelin star. Our service was hasty and typical of a street cafe anywhere in Berlin. The food came out incredibly fast and we soon found out why, neither dish was warm. My fried mushrooms on toast with cucumber slices was memorable in the wrong way. The mushrooms were heavily coated and overly fried, with a 4/1 ratio of breading to mushroom and it came out room temperature. The sauce on the cucumbers while somewhat interesting, was soaking the bread underneath. I only finished about half of the meal and I was quite hungry. My dining partner got the eggs Benedict and also it was served quickly at room temperature and was unimpressive. If it were in my neighborhood and easy to walk-in, I might give it another try but it is certainly not worth a planned reservation or a special trip. Will not be coming back. I have heard from others that dinner service with cocktails is much better.

The food was delicious, especially the brioche pancake, and everything was fresh. The location of the restaurant is also very convenient and easy to reach. The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive.

We did the set menu for dinner. One of the best meals of my life - still thinking about it daily almost 2 weeks later! The Douglas fir was the best dessert I've ever eaten - such a clever and unusual flavour combination. And beautifully presented. Service was incredible - very lovely people.

We had the 5-course menu including wine accompaniment. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and has a relaxed atmosphere. The tables are a bit small; the chairs a bit hard without cushions. The staff is very friendly and tries to explain the individual dishes and drinks. The food was fine; For a restaurant of this price range it was disappointing. I very much welcome the vegetarian and sustainable concept, but serving guests cucumber, celery, broccoli and a few oyster mushrooms is a bit too little, especially since the vegetables were usually not prepared in a special way. Instead of relying on the flavors of the ingredients, a fluffy butter sauce is served as a flavor carrier in each dish. This is boring in the long run and not particularly creative. The warm dishes were served rather lukewarm. The selection of wines was surprising and went very well with the dishes.

We were here for a Sunday brunch. The food and drinks were nice, of course expensive but that was expected. It was disappointing that the notes attached to our reservation, made via their website over a month in advance, were completely overlooked. Despite specifically requesting a table for two and not to be seated at the bar, we were initially asked to sit at the bar. Fortunately, there were still tables available outside, but only after we expressed our preference to sit at a table did the waiter check for an available table outside. We were celebrating a birthday, as noted in the reservation, and frankly, we expected a bit more from a fine-dining restaurant. Even a small acknowledgment, such as a complimentary piece of cake, would have been appreciated—something we’ve experienced in far less expensive venues. Our waiter was nice and did wish "happy birthday" to the birthday guest as we were leaving, but that was the extent of the acknowledgment. Overall, service was not so attentive. We were initially missing a fork and were served still water after ordering sparkling. This was not a major issue. However, for a high-end establishment, service must definitely be improved. Finally, the guests seated behind us were offered complimentary Mimosas by their waiter (who specifically said, "on me"). This gave the impression that different guests were receiving varying levels of attention, which left us feeling uncomfortable about the overall service.

Raffinierte vegetarische oder vegane Menüs. Alles sehr schön präsentiert. Sehr netter, lockerer Service der alle Gänge gut erklärt. Saucenliebhaber werden sich freuen, es gibt zu fast jedem Gang ein kleines Töpfchen zum Nachnehmen.

We eten nooit vegetarisch maar logeren steeds in Schöneberg als we in Berlijn zijn. We waren dan ook nieuwsgierig naar dit sterrenrestaurant en waren blij verrast : leuk interieur, goed eten (zeker voldoende...) en prijzen die normaal zijn voor een restaurant met een ster. Enige opmerking : de lage stoelen zijn niet comfortabel en gelukkig vroegen wij bij het begin van de maaltijd een plaats op de hogere stoelen. Als drank kozen wij een witte wijn die goed was en niet te duur.

If there was a 6th STAR I would have to give it. Everything at a high level and yet with ease. Relaxed, friendly staff. The food was great, the wine was great and the audience was young. Can only recommend it. Top 👍 Certainly not for every day, but we'll be back. Thanks to the whole team.

Lives up to the Michelin hype! Incredible combination of flavors & aesthetic presentation for the food, in a truly beautiful location. Came here for brunch on a fall Sunday & sat outside which was gorgeous. They also offer blankets on the back of your chair if you get cold! Started with a green juice & espresso martini which came out quickly & we were pleasantly surprised for a rather busy Sunday morning. We finally decided on the Brioche Pancakes which were so delicious and the perfect portion. My wife and I also shared the Crispy Fried Oyster Mushroom which was phenomenal & packed with flavor. This menu is all vegetarian which I am not use to, but had no problem finding many things I was excited to try :)

The food itself is very tasty but also expensive. Unfortunately, I didn't quite tolerate the food there perfectly twice. Everyone else in my group was fine. faith is up to me. The shop is cute but always quite busy. You have to like sitting outside on the side of the road. staff super friendly!

We received a warm welcome and had a wonderful stay. The service was very attentive and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Looking forward to the next visit.

Nice place, clean and tidy. Encourages you with a Michelin star. The service was efficient, but we waited over half an hour for the food. Dirty Chai - I don't know how it differs from regular Chai Latte, but quite pleasant, with a strong cinnamon flavor. Green shakshuka - aromatic, perfectly stewed peas and spinach, well seasoned. The taste is complemented by separately poached eggs and delicate goat cheese. I recommend it, even though there is no meat. The only minus - a slightly damaged glass.

Very good breakfast options in the Bomvivant. When is good advice even if you have no idea what you actually want, the price is definitely upscale but still relaxed ambience, authentic Berlin scene and very tasty.

I always love the idea of brunch but am often disappointed, leaving feeling that I spent money on overpriced food that I could have made at home. Not here though. Seriously incredible. Creative and delicious and beautifully presented. And fair price for the quality and atmosphere. My friend and I got the tomato toast and the mushroom toast and shared both - would highly recommend this combo. Only aspect of the experience that I would criticize was the attitude and feeling of annoyance that one of the servers gave us when we requested to sit outside in the sun when the outdoor seating had not yet been set up… the rest of the staff were lovely and cared about their customers having an enjoyable experience

This vegan cuisine is unbeatable. Every dish is a taste explosion.

Some of them are rude guests who insult the residents with “move to Brandenburg” because they point out that a family with a stroller cannot get through on the cluttered sidewalk. Staff stood by and didn't care. Unsightly :-/

Now this place is a vegetarian’s dream come true! So, we followed a reel we watched on the gram and ended up making a brunch reservation. We walked in a little early only to be greeted with a smile and found ourselves at the coveted spot right at the bar! ⭐️ Joe who was at the bar then began his magic. Taking our orders, whipping out amazing cocktails and also engrossing us in conversations about food! Then came the food and drinks which blew us away. We walked out this restaurant mind blown knowing that there is one place that can nail a hollandaise sauce, somebody can do magic with oyester mushrooms and foam & gin can make a perfect harmony together. Will definitely return for the 5 course dinner ♥️

We were having a tour around the Berlin and we really liked the Bistro while passingby. The cocktails were tasty and the athmosphere was very nice. The bartender and the waitstaff were also very kind. Thank you so much

I ordered eggs benedict, but the eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce tasted vinegary. On the other hand the chai latte was ok and the staff was friendly.

Made a reservation by phone half an hour in advance, even making sure that the brunch was available and they confirmed. Once there they said that kitchen was nearly to close and could only give French fries. Explained that they had confirmed by phone short before and that had 30 min ride to get there, nothing changed.

I have no idea what Michelin stars are awarded for. It was really tasty here. I'd be happy to pay a little more! Oh yes, the staff is really exemplary!

The food was excellent, and initially, the service was attentive. However, as time went on, it became increasingly difficult to get a hold of a server or even know where our food was. We’re giving this experience 3 stars only because it took a staggering 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete a 6-course menu. It felt like the service team was deliberately avoiding us, likely aware of the situation. We noticed several other tables experiencing similar delays. For a Michelin-rated restaurant where you’re paying over 100 euros per person, respect for the customer’s time is crucial. While we’re always open to new dining experiences, waiting 30-40 minutes between each course is simply unacceptable.
