The food is delicious, but please don't seat people with reservations at the bar. Uncomfortable, busy and not for people who like it comfortable. Staff sometimes stressed

Great, creative cuisine without animals and competent, warm service. We had a great evening with 6 beautifully presented courses and drinks that consisted of exceptional cocktails. Dishes and drinks were very aromatic and well balanced - really great!!! An unconditional recommendation.

We found a shard of glass in our coffee and the entire crew didn’t bother other than apologize for the inconvenience. The atmosphere is wonderful but it’s surely a hyped up place

What a rare find! This unassuming restaurant offers vegetarian/vegan dishes that deliver an overload of complex and well balanced flavours. Absolutely delighted with our evening and look forward to coming again soon.

The bistro is absolutely recommended for a successful breakfast. The dishes, especially the eggs Benedict with miso hollandaise, are extremely tasty. The granola is also definitely worth a try. The quality and taste of the food easily reach star level. The service is in no way inferior: the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. If the water glass is almost empty, it will be refilled immediately and we will regularly ask whether everything is satisfactory or if there are still any wishes unfulfilled. The ambience is pleasant, although not exceptional. Overall, this restaurant offers excellent value for money and absolutely deserves its Michelin star. So if you want to enjoy a first-class breakfast at an affordable price, this is the right place for you.

Incredibly dirty and ugly place. Looks like pintrest board from 2009 that gives shisha bar or spati vibe and is really, really neglected. Food is greasy but decent.

I went with my friends and loved it so much that I booked it for another time to bring my husband :) Green Shaksuka came a bit later than others, so they brought in one more portion of potatoes just for good gesture! Espresso martini was the best one I had!

Went for brunch. Amazing staff! Amazing food! I always have a great time sitting at the bar, and this was no exception. Can't wait to be in Berlin again so that I can try dinner service. <3

A very beautiful and aesthetic place, more expensive than average. The staff is very nice and positive. The only food I liked was the breakfast with poached eggs. The rest is done interestingly and beautifully, but not for everyone.

Brunch review** I was surprised by the food and service given the reviews and the Michelin star. Our service was hasty and typical of a street cafe anywhere in Berlin. The food came out incredibly fast and we soon found out why, neither dish was warm. My fried mushrooms on toast with cucumber slices was memorable in the wrong way. The mushrooms were heavily coated and overly fried, with a 4/1 ratio of breading to mushroom and it came out room temperature. The sauce on the cucumbers while somewhat interesting, was soaking the bread underneath. I only finished about half of the meal and I was quite hungry. My dining partner got the eggs Benedict and also it was served quickly at room temperature and was unimpressive. If it were in my neighborhood and easy to walk-in, I might give it another try but it is certainly not worth a planned reservation or a special trip. Will not be coming back. I have heard from others that dinner service with cocktails is much better.

The food was delicious, especially the brioche pancake, and everything was fresh. The location of the restaurant is also very convenient and easy to reach. The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive.

We did the set menu for dinner. One of the best meals of my life - still thinking about it daily almost 2 weeks later! The Douglas fir was the best dessert I've ever eaten - such a clever and unusual flavour combination. And beautifully presented. Service was incredible - very lovely people.

We were there for breakfast. For a michelin star restaurant offering breakfast, we did not find it any special. Somehow felt like people working there were pushing us to buy water from them.

Everything great! Delicious food and great, relaxed and very nice service. We had a seat right at the bar and were ultimately super satisfied. The restaurant has improved greatly from a previous visit and is significantly better than Oukan Restaurant. +++Mega plus point: Water is always refilled and not charged!+++

We had the 5-course menu including wine accompaniment. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and has a relaxed atmosphere. The tables are a bit small; the chairs a bit hard without cushions. The staff is very friendly and tries to explain the individual dishes and drinks. The food was fine; For a restaurant of this price range it was disappointing. I very much welcome the vegetarian and sustainable concept, but serving guests cucumber, celery, broccoli and a few oyster mushrooms is a bit too little, especially since the vegetables were usually not prepared in a special way. Instead of relying on the flavors of the ingredients, a fluffy butter sauce is served as a flavor carrier in each dish. This is boring in the long run and not particularly creative. The warm dishes were served rather lukewarm. The selection of wines was surprising and went very well with the dishes.

We were here for a Sunday brunch. The food and drinks were nice, of course expensive but that was expected. It was disappointing that the notes attached to our reservation, made via their website over a month in advance, were completely overlooked. Despite specifically requesting a table for two and not to be seated at the bar, we were initially asked to sit at the bar. Fortunately, there were still tables available outside, but only after we expressed our preference to sit at a table did the waiter check for an available table outside. We were celebrating a birthday, as noted in the reservation, and frankly, we expected a bit more from a fine-dining restaurant. Even a small acknowledgment, such as a complimentary piece of cake, would have been appreciated—something we’ve experienced in far less expensive venues. Our waiter was nice and did wish "happy birthday" to the birthday guest as we were leaving, but that was the extent of the acknowledgment. Overall, service was not so attentive. We were initially missing a fork and were served still water after ordering sparkling. This was not a major issue. However, for a high-end establishment, service must definitely be improved. Finally, the guests seated behind us were offered complimentary Mimosas by their waiter (who specifically said, "on me"). This gave the impression that different guests were receiving varying levels of attention, which left us feeling uncomfortable about the overall service.

If there was a 6th STAR I would have to give it. Everything at a high level and yet with ease. Relaxed, friendly staff. The food was great, the wine was great and the audience was young. Can only recommend it. Top 👍 Certainly not for every day, but we'll be back. Thanks to the whole team.

We eten nooit vegetarisch maar logeren steeds in Schöneberg als we in Berlijn zijn. We waren dan ook nieuwsgierig naar dit sterrenrestaurant en waren blij verrast : leuk interieur, goed eten (zeker voldoende...) en prijzen die normaal zijn voor een restaurant met een ster. Enige opmerking : de lage stoelen zijn niet comfortabel en gelukkig vroegen wij bij het begin van de maaltijd een plaats op de hogere stoelen. Als drank kozen wij een witte wijn die goed was en niet te duur.

Lives up to the Michelin hype! Incredible combination of flavors & aesthetic presentation for the food, in a truly beautiful location. Came here for brunch on a fall Sunday & sat outside which was gorgeous. They also offer blankets on the back of your chair if you get cold! Started with a green juice & espresso martini which came out quickly & we were pleasantly surprised for a rather busy Sunday morning. We finally decided on the Brioche Pancakes which were so delicious and the perfect portion. My wife and I also shared the Crispy Fried Oyster Mushroom which was phenomenal & packed with flavor. This menu is all vegetarian which I am not use to, but had no problem finding many things I was excited to try :)

We ate here yesterday as part of the Berlin MoPo menu. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The individual courses tasted excellent and the wine accompaniment to the menu was also very harmonious. Thank you for a delicious and lovely evening at Bonvivant.

The food itself is very tasty but also expensive. Unfortunately, I didn't quite tolerate the food there perfectly twice. Everyone else in my group was fine. faith is up to me. The shop is cute but always quite busy. You have to like sitting outside on the side of the road. staff super friendly!

We were very excited. A culinary experience using predominantly regional ingredients. The service staff were extremely friendly, courteous and competent. Each course and the accompanying drinks were explained in detail. A really great experience. Only: Upholstering the seating wouldn't be bad since you spend at least 2 hours there, but that's complaining at a high level. Visited on September 20, 2024

Very good breakfast options in the Bomvivant. When is good advice even if you have no idea what you actually want, the price is definitely upscale but still relaxed ambience, authentic Berlin scene and very tasty.

Nice place, clean and tidy. Encourages you with a Michelin star. The service was efficient, but we waited over half an hour for the food. Dirty Chai - I don't know how it differs from regular Chai Latte, but quite pleasant, with a strong cinnamon flavor. Green shakshuka - aromatic, perfectly stewed peas and spinach, well seasoned. The taste is complemented by separately poached eggs and delicate goat cheese. I recommend it, even though there is no meat. The only minus - a slightly damaged glass.

I always love the idea of brunch but am often disappointed, leaving feeling that I spent money on overpriced food that I could have made at home. Not here though. Seriously incredible. Creative and delicious and beautifully presented. And fair price for the quality and atmosphere. My friend and I got the tomato toast and the mushroom toast and shared both - would highly recommend this combo. Only aspect of the experience that I would criticize was the attitude and feeling of annoyance that one of the servers gave us when we requested to sit outside in the sun when the outdoor seating had not yet been set up… the rest of the staff were lovely and cared about their customers having an enjoyable experience

This vegan cuisine is unbeatable. Every dish is a taste explosion.

Some of them are rude guests who insult the residents with “move to Brandenburg” because they point out that a family with a stroller cannot get through on the cluttered sidewalk. Staff stood by and didn't care. Unsightly :-/

We were having a tour around the Berlin and we really liked the Bistro while passingby. The cocktails were tasty and the athmosphere was very nice. The bartender and the waitstaff were also very kind. Thank you so much

Now this place is a vegetarian’s dream come true! So, we followed a reel we watched on the gram and ended up making a brunch reservation. We walked in a little early only to be greeted with a smile and found ourselves at the coveted spot right at the bar! ⭐️ Joe who was at the bar then began his magic. Taking our orders, whipping out amazing cocktails and also engrossing us in conversations about food! Then came the food and drinks which blew us away. We walked out this restaurant mind blown knowing that there is one place that can nail a hollandaise sauce, somebody can do magic with oyester mushrooms and foam & gin can make a perfect harmony together. Will definitely return for the 5 course dinner ♥️

I ordered eggs benedict, but the eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce tasted vinegary. On the other hand the chai latte was ok and the staff was friendly.

Made a reservation by phone half an hour in advance, even making sure that the brunch was available and they confirmed. Once there they said that kitchen was nearly to close and could only give French fries. Explained that they had confirmed by phone short before and that had 30 min ride to get there, nothing changed.

I have no idea what Michelin stars are awarded for. It was really tasty here. I'd be happy to pay a little more! Oh yes, the staff is really exemplary!

The food was excellent, and initially, the service was attentive. However, as time went on, it became increasingly difficult to get a hold of a server or even know where our food was. We’re giving this experience 3 stars only because it took a staggering 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete a 6-course menu. It felt like the service team was deliberately avoiding us, likely aware of the situation. We noticed several other tables experiencing similar delays. For a Michelin-rated restaurant where you’re paying over 100 euros per person, respect for the customer’s time is crucial. While we’re always open to new dining experiences, waiting 30-40 minutes between each course is simply unacceptable.

Excellent experience with the 6 course menu. Finally a tasty gourmet vegetarian restaurant! There was no false note. The service was excellent, thanks to Hannah in particular. As a nice touch, water and coffee are included in the menu.

This is a review for the utterly disappointing bar service only. I’ve rarely been ignored that much. The 15€ cocktail was flat and unremarkable. Nobody was interested in whether I like it either. There are so many better good bars in the neighborhood.

An extraordinary bistro with even more extraordinary cuisine. You simply feel comfortable there and at the same time you are served star-rated cuisine. This is a great concept and highly recommended.

I’ve been there just for brunch. I expected something more elaborate than a Stulle tbh but overall everything tasted very good.

Very varied vegetarian cuisine, which is excellently presented by the service staff. How the chef manages to bring out the different flavors of the different courses is extraordinary! Be sure to choose the menu and the accompanying drinks, as our own creations are also served here, tailored to the courses. Absolutely recommended!

Very, very friendly staff, personal and authentic, nice relaxed atmosphere, fantastic food, creative cocktails (even the non-alcoholic ones). Yes, not cheap, but worth every euro. We also like to eat meat sometimes, but we didn't miss anything at all. A wonderful evening, thank you!

We had the 5-course vegetarian menu (also available as vegan), and the quality of the dishes was brilliant. Ingredients came mostly from the region around Berlin; explanations were given, no marketing bla bla, but precise information from young and motivated staff. Good choice in non-alcoholic drinks. Excellent taste experiences We went for brunch and really enjoyed our food: Grilled Tomato Sandwich, Shakshuka, Zen Master Breakfast Bowl It's not every day that you get something like this and at a price that's compatible with families. Thanks to you! Only the Egg Benedict (which we felt we saw most often from other guests) couldn't quite keep up with the other dishes in our opinion.

Rating: "wow, best brunch I've ever had" So very good. I am really satisfied and the food was better than expected. Ate/tasted the eggs benedict, granola and oystermushroom. Everything tasted amazing and specially the oystermusrooms. I want to visit the restaurant again but for dinner. If I travel back to Berlin, no questions asked i will go back for more. Unfortunately, I have to point out one thing and that is that the service was not on par on a few occasions. Not the worst but it was noticeable and interfered with what would otherwise have been a perfect brunch. The server spilled prosecco, 3 different people serving who all asked the same questions and asked if we had ordered, when we already had. Like I said, not the worst but it took us out of the moment.

Went for Sunday brunch. Value is 10/10. Food is above average, but the coffee cocktails were the best I have ever had (espresso martini + salted caramel cold foam cold brew cocktail). Highly recommend.

The service was the best thing about the bistro, and I had several points of criticism about the food. The food was very tasteful but not well balanced, and the egg yolks in Egg Benedict were done. I wished the pancakes had more consistency, they were very mushy. What I really liked was the water flat.

Very nice service, but unfortunately a poached egg was hard and the sourdough bread had a crust that was barely cuttable. The tomatoes on the bread were too big and the drinks (Chai Latte & Matcha Latte) weren't outstanding. The water flat rate is great and it was refilled in a timely manner. The impression is as if the kitchen is more of a problem here than the service staff. In my opinion not worth the money. Maybe brunch isn't their forte.

I ate Crispy Fried Oyster Mushroom here. The milk bread tastes very tasty, soft with a clear milk taste. The crunch from the perfectly fried mushrooms is an excellent counterpart to the soft bread. The cucumber kimchi was pleasantly subtle, not too sour and spicy. Chives mayo and lemon cream rounded off the taste of the mildly aromatic oyster mushrooms. Great composition. At first I found the staff to be mediocre friendly, it felt a bit stressed. I didn't feel particularly welcome. It was a changing care. However, one of the table servers was friendly. What pissed me off: I received a receipt that said “NO INVOICE” in bold letters. Are taxes being evaded here?

A visit here is always a real experience. 1a service and fantastic food. Likewise, the cocktails are always a wonderful surprise. We'll be back soon. 1000 thanks.

We visited for brunch with a large party and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The food was average at best; we sampled several dishes, and none stood out. Service left much to be desired—our drink orders were mixed up, food orders were incorrect, and we were charged for extra brioche that never arrived. On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant, but it wasn’t enough to offset the overall disappointment.

Great food but the service quality was really poor. We had made a reservation and when we arrived they told us there was an issue in the booking and the place was overbooked. The staff felt very inattentive about this. The right thing to do would have been to call up the customers and let them know in advance you're overbooked. Anyways, we arrived and would have appreciated an apology instead of "not my fault" from the waiter. Then we were sat down outside while it had just been pouring rain.. not ideal. When we ordered filter coffee and certain dishes were not available on the menu. At this point i would expect service staff to go the extra way. You could maybe say "hey let me see if I can set a new pot of filter coffee" or maybe "let me give you a free coffee on the house". When water was served it was just put on the table, instead of "being served" (i.e. pouring it). The food was great and deserves 5/5, but the service was poor. Yes we're in Germany/Berlin, but this uncaring attitude can really rub a customer the wrong way.

Bonvivant was my first fine dining experience. I thought it was really great. The food and the accompanying drinks were great, especially the smoked celery. Tim guided us wonderfully through the evening and we all felt very comfortable. Gladly again!

Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, allerdings ist die Akustik eine Katastrophe. Man schreit sich an, um ein Gespräch führen zu können. Sehr stressig! Die Vorhänge an den Wänden wurden vermutlich dafür angeschafft den Schall zu dämpfen, sind aber nicht geöffnet, schade. Im Sommer sitzen wir nächstes Mal dann draußen

Bad service and overpriced food.

The food is very good, unfortunately the service is terrible. We had to get up several times to: look for the correct menu, sugar, coffee spoons and cutlery even when the food was already on the table. We also had to request the drinks we asked for as soon as we arrived. It seems that attention and service are reserved only for dinner, despite the Michelin star.

Had breakfast here. We recommend. Atmosphere in a Freemason's house (a real rarity). The food was very original and extremely tasty. The service was very attentive and personable. We would love to come back here again.

Unfortunately, despite the good food, it was a disappointing experience. I wanted to celebrate my 25th birthday with my family and was extremely looking forward to my first star experience, but unfortunately many things weren't as nice as imagined. There were 4 of us (2xvegan/2xvegetarian menu) and we had a drink accompaniment for everyone (2xalcoholic/2xnon-alcoholic). The problems started with the first drink accompaniment, the non-alcoholic drinks and those with alcohol were mixed up and drunk by the wrong people and the vegan and vegetarian dishes were also mixed up, but thank God we noticed this ourselves and then we called the service staff pointed it out again and yet it continued like that all evening, a shame. Unfortunately, the accompanying drinks weren't my cup of tea either, all the drinks were somehow sour and tasted the same and unfortunately weren't worth €80 for me. All in all, in my opinion, the service has a lot of catching up to do, because our accompanying drinks usually arrived long before the actual dishes and the waiting times between courses became longer from course to course, so that the 6 courses lasted almost 4 hours have. I had imagined my first experience with Michelin Star Kitchen to be a little different and had high expectations, especially in connection with my birthday, which unfortunately were not met.

Amazing brunch place! Definitely worth a visit. This is a nice location for your Brunch. The food (and Cocktails if you want to make it boozy) are amazing and wörth the price. In the summer the doors are open and lead to a refreshing breeze. Of course you can also sit outside.

Absolutely delightful brunch. Sit at the bar! Everyone is super chatty and smiley. The food is outstanding. The cocktails are divine. It is the least fussy most deserving Michelin meal you could possibly wish for.

You just have to treat yourself to it. Food, service & ambience simply fabulous. There is only one thing that would be really more comfortable, since you have to sit for a really long time with a 6-course meal, padded chairs would be better. After a while the wooden chairs really hurt.

We initially visited for brunch, which was so good we then booked in that evening for dinner! Lorcan and Joe looked after us so well. So many personal touches with the service, including a Polaroid picture of us used to garnish my drink. The service, food and drinks were amazing. I would highly recommend the karamel iced coffee!!

Not only was it a wonderful spot in January due to the fine selection of non-alcoholic accompaniment, but the brunch is not on Sunday, but during the week, always a tongue-in-cheek homage to great classics like French toast or egg Benedict, but with a maximum of precisely selected new flavors and ingredients.

We aren't vegetarians but decided to check out the Bonvivant Cocktail Bistro during our trip to Berlin. All food was delicious and service was great. Very interesting experience of a vegetarian fine dining. I'll be honest, I prefer non-vegetarian options, but as a one time experience this was great and I highly recommend this place.

Great food and coffee, but service really struggles. We made a reservation in advance, showed up in time - when asking for our reservation the hostess pointed us to bar counter and suggested to sit there. When we asked to have a different table for 2 in the main dining area (which was free and available) the answer was that she has a lot of guests and no time to place us onto different table, so if we don’t like bar counter - we should wait until she takes care of other guests. Service at its best in Michelin-starred place - example 1. When we walked out to wait as per guidance of the „boss of the place“ - she came back after 7 minutes saying that „she found a place for us“. We enter the restaurant - and it is again not the place we asked for (which keeps staying vacant). We have to ask again and she says she needs to check again and disappears. After another couple of minutes another gentleman shows up and it turns out that in the end it is not a problem to seat us where we originally asked. In a nutshell - I highly recommend to either fire the lady who was „welcoming“ guests on Saturday morning, 18th May, OR send her to a long-term hospitality training to make sure she doesn’t spoil the experience to anybody else.

The fries were completely immerged in sauce hollandaise, and the pancakes didn't like something without the caramel sauce I would not recommend this place for anyone especially kids

Amazing experience start to finish. They rescheduled us to an earlier time for our convenience, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the food and coffee was all delicious.

Bonvivant cocktail bistrot Non il classico stellato a cui siamo abituati in Italia. Sembra più un locale adatto a bere un cocktail (cosa che peraltro è disponibile come pairing della cena), tavoli senza tovagliato, servizio giovanissimo e veramente informale soprattutto nell’abbigliamento. Si può scegliere esclusivamente tra 3 menu degustazioni a 5,6 o 7 portate. La caratteristica e’ che i menu sono 100% vegetali, sono al buio e sono creativi. Non so citare le singole portate che sono state tutte superlative in qualità ( voto cucina 8.5, calcolate che non sono né vegetariano né vegano) e alla fine siamo stati sazi. Abbiamo accompagnato la cena con un cocktail (voto 7). Il servizio (voto 6.5) è giovane, volenteroso ma un po’ impreciso per essere uno stellato : quando ad esempio ci hanno servito il pane con il vassoio ne è caduta una fetta sul tavolo (che non ha tovaglia) e il cameriere l’ha rimesso nel vassoio con la mano. Il costo a mio parere e ’ alto (124€ menu a 5’portate) nonostante la qualità dei piatti sia comunque ottima. Consiglierei anche un menu da 3 portate ad un prezzo più popolare (sotto gli 80€) se proprio non si vuole inserire la carta. Rapporto qualità prezzo per me non adeguato e penalizzante, nonostante la qualità della cucina altissima. Un pallino in più per la cucina vegetariana e 2 in meno per il prezzo troppo alto.

Great brunch, with exceptional dishes. The service was super friendly and professional, which you don't always get in Berlin. Overall just great!
