Sohar's in Frankfurt am Main

It's just all Arabic food. Very bold - didn't even change the Arabic names, but the main thing was to claim them as Israeli...

I wish I could comment on the food but.... It says online open till 7 and arrived at 5:15. We were told they were closed.

The food was excellent, we ate a fish salad and chips dish and it was really good and the service was also excellent. The problem is at the entrance to the building where the restaurant is located. At the entrance, we were stopped by a repulsively tattooed Israeli man with an aggressive voice, as if he was at least a police officer in Gaza and we were his subjects (sorry from the police officer for the comparison), this rude creature forcefully asked for IDs and after we handed him our passports he flipped through them back and forth for a long minute and began a series of interrogations and questions stupid On the question of whether we visited Arab countries, I told him that the game is over and I am not cooperating with him anymore. In response he asked us to open our shopping bags and my partner's bag. After emptying, touching and checking all types of fabrics. We were given the option to continue. Of course, we didn't feel like eating that much anymore. There is no place for such cradles at the entrance to Jewish centers, except as a pose for security, they do not contribute. I visit many Jewish centers in the world and I have never experienced condescension and an attempt to control the guests.

Das Ambiente ist eher schlicht, aber großzügig; die Bedienung sehr charmant und liebenswürdig. Ich aß hier einen bunten Salat und danach ein Entrecôte mit Gemüse. Der Salat war in Ordnung, das Gemüse ebenso; doch aus dem Fleisch beim Schneiden floss ein wenig "Wasser" auf den Teller; was für mich ein Zeichen für keine ganz so hohe Qualität ist. Ich hoffe aber, mich hier zu täuschen! Erwähnenswert noch: Der sehr gute Kaffee danach.

Das Essen war lecker und der Service super. Leider ist das Ambiente nicht so toll, aber es ist in Ordnung. Man fühlt sich trotzdem sehr wohl.

מקום מאד מיוחד, אוכל ברמה, מחיר לא יקר, מפנקים מאד, בעל הבית ישראלי, צוות מקסים. לאוכלי מהדרין הכל גלאט כשר, משגיח מצויין.

Sunday is buffet, 25 euro a person. Open 12-3pm. They were super nice and the food was excellent. The restaurant is inside the Jewish Community Center.

Been there before, at least 3 times. Once we got in, the food was good. During trade shows in Frankfurt it can get very busy but this time we came during a quite period. The choice of dished was therefore a bit limited, but we were happy with the meal.

I have eaten Sohar's on flights in the past, and it's always been excellent. I recently had the opportunity to visit Sohar's restaurant, and they truly impressed me. They were all very friendly, kind, and helpful, and the food was delicious! I enjoyed chopped liver, steak with fries, and felafel with hummus, all of which were simply excellent! I am very appreciative of them accommodating me so last minute!

אירוח לבבי. חמודים. השתדלו. הסטייק היה עשוי טוב אבל הטעם לא מתקרב בכלל לרמה של הארץ. מקווה לחשוב שזה בגלל שלא היו מאורגנים אחרי הפתיחה המחודשת.

Not bad, not perfect. Quality products are used for making food, but cooking perfection is missing (too much salt / pepper in humus, fish fried too much, too much onion in salads)

I was really surprised about the location but I have to say the food and service was excellent. It is worth to go and check out this very special restaurant!

A quiet, elegant place in the local Jewish community center. I have eaten several meals there; everyone was excellent. The menu is not extensive. Wine and beer (of course) are available. They also provide the kosher airline meals on Lufthansa flights.

Great place to go for a fress after a long day of shleping around the ambiante show. During show it's a buffet style restaurant.

Heute wollten wir einmal koschere Küche ausprobieren und haben mittags einen "Israelischen Salat" plus 2 Mal "Auf der Haut gebratenen Zander" gegessen. Dazu nur Mineralwasser. Der Salat war leider eiskalt auf einem ebenso kalten Teller, der Fisch war an den Ecken schwarz verbrannt und sehr trocken. Die Beilagen waren Weißkrautgemüse und Süßkartoffelbrei. Diese waren relativ ungewürzt, mir persönlich viel zu fade, auch mit Kräutern wurde nicht aromatisiert, aber vielleicht ist der lasche Geschmack ja typisch und intendiert. Der Kellner war nicht wirklich freundlich. Das Ambiente erinnert an eine Kantine, die Preise für das was geboten wurde sehr hoch, wobei zu berücksichtigen ist, dass koscher kochen generell aufwendiger ist und höhere Kosten hat.

Having been to Frankfurt on a pretty frequent base and being strictly kosher, I ate at this place a lot. The food is generally tasty and very nice, for holidays they offer pretty fancy dishes, such as duck, lamb and fruit sorbets. There is no menu, you have to ask what is on todays menu, usually they have two or three choices of beef or chicken dishes. It is very pricey, though, and getting through security can be a nuisance, too. It is not a fancy place, but totally clean and nice. Due to its location inside a community center and synagogue there is not so much they can improve.

This is not a fancy restaurant, but good honest, tasty kosher cooking. Enjoyed it very much. The wine is not much. Have the duck breast! It si delicious

The main value for me is that its kosher with fast service and fresh/tasty food. Its value is less for people that dont keep kosher. Order humus/flafel as an entree and chicken for the main. Both were very good. Together with a beer and a tip it came out to a little less than 30 euros.

Wir waren erstmals hier zum Brunch und fanden eine reiche Auswahl an leckeren Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichten. Alles frisch und ein überaus freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service! Dazu noch einen Wein aus Galiläa, prima!

I wish I knew what they put in their cholent because I want to make it at home! this place has literally the best cholent in frankfurt, no question. The spice and the way it brought out the flavor of the chicken, the tenderness of the meat as well as the seingly hand selected pieces of chikcen were excellent, not too soupy, and not too many potatoes. the potatoes that it did have were pre-grilled-another thing that made this cholent almost world famous

Wir waren am 22.04.2016 in Restaurant Es war sehr schön .. Sehr gute Bedienung , das Essen war sehr schmackhaft. Wir haben gefühltefisch bestellt und viel andere Spezialitäten es war super . Ich kann dieser Restaurant weiter empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder .
