Smack Burger in Berlin

The prices are steep, the taste is stale. On top of that, I was given a meal without a drink. You can save yourself the trouble.

The burgers and fries are actually really nice, but €1 extra for Ketchup/Mayo when I’m ordering an entire meal is SO RIDICULOUS. You have an opportunity to stop this. Make ketchup/mayo free with fries (which are already 4,90, come on…). Let me know when you stopped doing this bullshit, and I will order again. I will probably change my review to 5 stars. I will probably order often. But if you want to charge me €1 for basic sauce, I will never suggest your restaurant to friends. I wish you success but not if you’re disrespecting the burger culture and your customers.

Best burgers I've ever eaten. Which is to say that I really enjoy eating. Portion from the menu was also decent. You leave full, not like other various burger chains. I would have liked to order the cheese sauce separately, but somehow it was only available in combination with fries. Unfortunately, I found the extra charge a bit too much, considering how much the fries cost individually. But it's definitely recommended if you like good burgers.

I ordered through Uber Eats and got a completely soggy burger with almost no lettuce in it, just a few crumbs. I don't even need to mention the puny size of the €4.90 pudding, which used to be twice as big. It's a shame, and I'll never order it again!

The burger was tasty but a bit too greasy for my taste. The fries were very good. The new bad habit of having to actively refuse to tip when paying by card bothers me. With self-service and healthy prices, in my opinion there is no need for a tip or you don't have to ask for it! Then it's better to pay your employees decently, it's also better for your karma.

So the food was relatively tasty, except that I ordered a cheeseburger without onions but got a normal hamburger with onions? So apart from that, the food was tasty, service was also quite ok but could definitely be friendlier. I would like to briefly complain about the price because over 10 euros for normal fries and a cheeseburger is really crazy.

Very tasty, very nice workers and quick work

The brioche smashburgers are incredibly delicious. The portion is generous, so we were well full. If you are slightly hungry you could easily share the “melt”. The cheese sauce in particular is a real highlight!

There are people at the checkout who don't speak German and you can hardly understand their English. The cashier didn't understand what we wanted, made us pay and then made the order again and said that the rest was in the order. That wasn't true, they conceded twice. After we noticed it, someone who spoke German came and assured us that the money would be transferred back. Of course that wasn't true

Best burger in Berlin for me as of 12/2024. It's always a bit cold to sit inside and you smell like fat when you eat there. When delivered, the burger and fries are also great.

Fast food: Simple atmosphere, friendly service, excellent food and average prices. The quantities are abundant.

The burger simply cannot be beaten in terms of taste, a 12/10. The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean and authentic. I think the drinks are a bit expensive, but that just makes up for the food. I can only recommend it.

Based on the many extremely good reviews, I probably had pretty high expectations. The order was delivered and was still warm despite the long journey. Cheeseburger double beef: as you would expect with a smash burger, bread, meat, cheese and sauce melt into each other, but not in every bite. At first I found it a bit “bland” and towards the middle the only flavor that came through was cheese. SmeltBurger: Similar experience here but the bread has a different (good) taste. Unusual with cucumber and tomato but not bad. Conclusion compared to all smashburgers: solid, very greasy affair. Price performance very good Portions large Fries good but not exceptional either. One sauce is not nearly enough for a portion of fries, so order 2-3.

I’ve been here a couple of times , and besides the price point of things, the quality and experience is very pleasant. The chicken burger in particular blew me away ! Deffo recommend !

I've ordered or taken away from here a few times and was more than thrilled the first few times. Unfortunately, the last two times I ordered weren't good at all, as the food arrived quite cold and at some point the chili cheese poutine was thrown together, which wasn't the case before, the fries used to come in one I think the extra box and the cheese are a shame and I hope that something changes, at least with the chili cheese poutine, because I actually quite like ordering here. I'll still leave it 5 stars because the food is actually pretty good. Peace...

I ordered via Lieferando after the specified delivery time, nothing happened at first, then I got a call saying it would take a while until the food came, 20 minutes later the next call that the food was now on the way, after waiting another 1.5 hours I tried there Unfortunately, I called to no avail, so conclusion: I waited almost 4 hours for my food, which was never delivered, and then had to contact Lieferando to get my money back I then ordered from another burger shop, which was 20 minutes further away from my location and my food was warm and delicious in less than an hour. I will not visit Smack Burger again under any circumstances

Was with you with my little sister. The citizens are extremely tasty. Fries just as awesome. Chill cheese sauce on fries and in the citizen is absolute madness. A little expensive but 100% worth it The pretty girls at the checkout are also very nice and friendly. Come again!

I stopped at Smack Burger for a quick lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and abundant. The bun was soft and slightly sweet, holding everything together beautifully. The fries were crispy and addictive, But the real stars of the show were the Patty Melt and Chicken Melt both were absolutely phenomenal. The patty melt with caramelised onions and melted cheese added a depth of flavor that took it to the next level, and the chicken melt crispy chicken and creamy sauce made it a game changer. Highly recommended 👍🏿 5 stars isn't enough, I'd give it 10 if I could!

I ordered here via Uber Eats. The restaurant was supposed to make the delivery itself, after confirming and paying for the order it still didn't arrive after 1 hour and 30 minutes (the restaurant was only 1km away). The restaurant couldn't be reached using the phone number provided, and Uber Eats support couldn't reach them either. Luckily the order was canceled by Uber Eats support, I wouldn't recommend anyone to order here! As a restaurant, you shouldn't accept orders and then not carry them out without contacting the customer or answering the phone. Very unprofessional!

This is a delivery order. The drinks were not delivered. The driver should pick these up and hand them over (approx. 7 minutes away by e-bike). After half an hour I called the restaurant again. According to their information, the delivery person did not return. Reference was made to lieferdano. Lieferdano cannot be reached by phone. The restaurant failed to provide the drinks. I now have the work and hassle of it and no solution from the restaurant.

Excellent burger place! The double smash was compact, the buns buttery and nicely seared and the fresh toppings complimented the perfectly caramelized and flavourful patties. The fries were good, nice and crispy, although slightly underseasoned. If I had to nitpick I would only say that the ketchup they give on the side has a weird taste which I didn’t like, but I do appreciate receiving 2 sauces on the side for free (ketchup and mayo). The service was also great - very professional and I waited for my food maybe 5 minutes. All in all a great experience, the burger was the star of the meal so I wouldn’t omit stars for the other negligible shortcomings. Would definitely return.

We were in the store this afternoon, we ordered normally, but the service was extremely unfriendly, I had no idea what the problem was, but she spoke to me in an extremely annoyed manner and her manner wasn't very nice either. Drinks are always warm, they only have one fridge and they always say we have just filled up, delicious food, but the warm drink ruins everything If you value a cold drink in order to fully enjoy the enjoyment, you should, as the waitress recommended to me afterwards, feel all the drinks and feel whether they are cold or not ✌️

I tried smack burger the first week it opened for the first time. Was for real, one of the best smack burger joints in town and a personal favourite. I always order the patty&chicken melt, phenomenal. Month after month, that quality&taste that used to be is no more. The staff was alright, a bit more of organisation would be nice. To be honest, the hype of this place is gone. In the end, it’s my personal opinion.

A very ingenious shop - you simply have to give it 5 stars! The Double Smashburger is exceptionally good. The bun is great. The meat is not dry, the sauce is more in the background. It's better to order the patty melt with 2 patties! Otherwise the ratio of bread to meat is not right and you only have bread in your mouth, which is what it feels like. But don't get me wrong: the bread is amazing! Even homemade. This is a huge, heavy and greasy affair. But really brilliant! Unfortunately, patty melts are not (yet) well known in this country. In the USA, more so. Maybe Smackburger will help increase awareness! Great store. The Double Smashburger is almost as good as Goldies. And much better from Burgermeister! The patty melt is unique!

This is the best burger I've eaten in the last 5 years. I was at the Champions Burger Festival. It's not without reason that the Patty Melt won all the prizes. The burger is fluffy, juicy, cheesy and simply bombastic!! And such a huge portion, after that nothing works anymore 😅

We were a group of 34 who came unannounced and we ordered burgers, fries and soft drinks. The staff were super nice and smiling, and it didn't take long from the time we ordered until the food started arriving. Good burgers and crispy fries. Great service. Can definitely be recommended to others.

The burgers were tasty, but the service really needs to be worked on. There were five of us there, because it was too warm in the restaurant we sat outside and the weather was nice outside. When I went in again to ask the cashier if I could grab a chair to sit outside with the others, she said coldly NO, had to smile briefly and ran out, eating my burger and fries standing up. She also made a mistake when ordering without admitting it so I had to pay again. I don't think I'll go there again.

I love the Double Smack Burger here! Personally, I usually take it without cucumbers because I think they don't fit in very well (but that's just my personal taste). I usually add jalapeños for this. For me, however, this double cheeseburger is one of the best in Berlin, if not the best I've ever eaten. The atmosphere in the store is also very relaxed and gives me a little USA vibes. I think it's good that the owner has thought about creating a unique atmosphere that doesn't yet exist in Berlin, especially with the video cube in the middle of the shop. A little tip: I would think it would be cool if this video cube would also show live events and not just show the same video sequence repeatedly. But that's just a small point of criticism and a suggestion for improvement. Otherwise, I give a very clear recommendation and can only recommend the double cheeseburger. The fries taste delicious too, you can't go wrong with them!

Best burger I've ever eaten comes from Switzerland

The burgers are great, you can't say anything against the quality or taste. The chicken tastes very similar to schnitzel, only it is noticeably crunchier and that's a good thing. Now to what unfortunately affects my 5 star rating, the fries are just soggy even though they are handmade, that has absolutely nothing to do with fries, fries should be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, i.e. I asked what was up for compatibility reasons It was thrown away and since I was able to make sure that there were no greens, it was served with greens and so it was a matter of rummaging around before eating. Conclusion: There is nothing wrong with the burgers and the meat itself, but unfortunately the "fries" brought the rating down massively. I'll happily come back for burgers but never again for fries.
