Smack Burger in Berlin

The food wasn't great. I ordered there twice and had problems.

Overall, a really good cheeseburger – loved the crispy edges and the flavorful sauce. Personally, I would have liked a bit more vegetables, but that’s just my own preference. The dessert was light and airy with a nice balanced sweetness; a little extra Nutella would have made it perfect. Definitely a spot worth checking out!

I got a double cheeseburger and fries - best burger I tried in Berlin, maybe even in whole Germany! The bun is so soft, the meet so tasty, good amount of sauce, simply delicious!

The food was incredibly delicious, and even without the food, I would come back because of the staff who helped us with our one-night stand (which was our first time). He was super friendly and in a great mood! Simply awesome.

Mega burger, I had the patty meal. It tasted great and is a unique place on the burger market. The guys were all super friendly and relaxed, and the place was clean and pleasant. I always enjoy coming back when I'm in Berlin.

The service was sooo bad! the cashier was super rude that everyone looked at her shouting at everyone, they charge 2 euros for ketchup and Mayo and don’t bring you any with meal. Burger was mid also I got the wrong order at first.

Im sorry but It was really not good. The buns are low quality white bread “buns” it feels like flimsy and papery. The patties are not really nice and falls apart. The smack sauce is tbh not smth id eat again. I received my food order sweaty and the fries are horrible.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating (that was definitely the positive part of the visit). Unfortunately, the chicken burger was not tasty at all: completely unsalted and unfortunately lacking any real flavor. The fries were okay, but simply too expensive for the price. In comparison, I liked the Gesundbrunnen branch much better. Overall, today's visit was disappointing.

Absolutely disappointing! I went into the restaurant with high expectations and left dissatisfied. It started with the chairs being very uncomfortable and me not being able to change my son's diaper. Many of our competitors had no problems implementing this, so it wasn't really family-friendly for us. The burgers tasted okay, but we ordered a cheeseburger. My husband was unsure if he had COVID again, as the flavor we were still hoping for was simply missing. The absolute disaster, however, were the cheese fries. They were completely soggy, and the chicken on top was completely bland and unseasoned.

Clean place, SUPER FRIENDLY staff, the burgers are in our top 3. Delicious 😋😋, and the cheese sauce, it would be a shame not to order it with fries. Definitely a mistake not to visit if you're in Berlin. Prices are reasonable, plus €13 per person, including fries and a drink.

The absolute best sweet potato fries

The bread wasn't toasted, and the chicken was soggy. Wolt hasn't responded for the third or fourth time when the food arrived... The melts used to be really good, but that time has passed. Not recommended if you want to order in. It's not much better locally. I ordered the chicken melt for three people and got three chicken burgers, and of course, the mistake was blamed on me.

Best hamburger I've had in Germany so far! I've been living here for over a year and plan to open my own smash burger concept soon, so I've been trying every burger I can from Berlin to Leipzig. The next visit I tried the chicken burger which was great too. The breading was excellent...I think they use the corn-flakes method. Crispy, tasty, every bite. Thank you Smack Burger!

Very, very tasty! The "toast burger" makes the experience unique compared to regular burger joints. The shop also has a very futuristic design. It's definitely worth a visit.

I've eaten at the original shop many times and it's always been great. However, today my girlfriend brought home three melt patties to take away and what can I say, one of them actually didn't have a patty in it!?!?!?!?!? How can that be? I don't buy shoes either, I just take the box with me!!!!! Really not okay and it can't be that difficult when the main ingredient in the shop, whether it's a burger or a melt, is the patty!!! So I paid €7.90 for a piece of bread with a bit of cheese!!!!!!!!! Very disappointing. Do I have to check my order on site every time now???? That was my first experience with the new shop and then they have something like that straight away!!!!!

Ordered for the second time, first time the fries were wrong, second time the fries were missing, only the cheese sauce was included. That was the last order. Well, it's easy to respond to positive comments. I feel like I spent a lot of money. Why don't you offer me an apology? Just say come over, we'll make it up to you.

Yesterday I had a double cheeseburger with French fries, both of which were really, really good. So why am I only giving it four stars? Because I experienced here what has already happened to me in about 5,000 other self-service restaurants in Berlin: When I pay with a card, the machine asks me how much I want to tip. And I think: I'm in a self-service restaurant, what should I tip for? For being able to pick up my food at the counter? For being able to pay with a card? For clearing my table myself? That's really bad because it puts me in a bad mood: if I don't give anything (for what?), it makes me feel bad for being such a stupid miser. And it makes the staff feel bad because they must be thinking, oh, another one who thinks I already earn enough. It's probably hard to turn off, it just happens too often (Pret a Manger, the café at C/O Berlin, to name just two). But why does anyone actually think that's a good idea? I don't know. Next time, I'll just tip (again: for what?) and figure it's just the price that's not on the menu. But I wanted to get it out there (sorry that upset you, the food is so good, I'll definitely be back).

The food is okay, but the restaurant is very small, so it's not comfortable to sit. The tables are crooked and wobbly, making the experience unpleasant. Furthermore, the prices are relatively high. There were no umbrellas for sitting outside.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the Smash Burger at all. I expected more for that price.

It's fine, but I'm a vegetarian and they gave me two beef burgers. Be careful with that. Ask if it's your order so there's no confusion.

Service was not so great, and the cash register system was having problems, so our order wasn't processed correctly. The manager then blamed us, saying "WE had ordered incorrectly." It's a shame.

Service was terrible (cashier). The kitchen, which you could see from the cash register, looked like the worst. There was more on the floor than on the grill. The employees also didn't look very well-groomed. I left the shop. Good luck.

Unfortunately, the burger bun was a bit squashed and not crispy this time. The chicken cheese was also a bit overcooked, and it could have used a bit more sauce. Otherwise, friendly service as always; hopefully, it'll be better next time.

The driver didn't speak German, and no one at the switchboard answered for 30 minutes. The reason was that they'd forgotten the Nutella bananas. I haven't gotten them back yet. Truly disrespectful.

Why can't you order Smack Bundle 1 with your vegan burger on Uber Eats? If necessary, you can increase the surcharge if it's more financially feasible.

We both had the vegan burger, as that's the only option, apart from side dishes, for those who don't eat meat. The burger was quite small for the price (€8). The chili cheese fries and sweet potato fries were tasty, and the portions were okay. Service is okay; we weren't noticed at first when we tried to order. It's self-service, so there's nothing more to say about that. The atmosphere is typical of "hip" burger joints in Berlin, but nothing special. The music is quite loud. We'd rather stick with our regular burger joint.

The smashburgers were delicious, but extremely oily. The chicken was nice and crispy and juicy, but unfortunately had very little seasoning. The service was friendly and quick. Can't complain.

These burgers are truly amazing! Even though the atmosphere is more reminiscent of a takeout restaurant, the burgers here surpass many restaurants. The staff are friendly and do their best – despite the slight chaos caused by the many delivery services, which definitely requires a lot of helping hands. We ordered the cheese sauce every time – highly recommended! The portion was so generous that we could dip both the fries and the burgers in it.

A bit expensive but tastes great

Long waiting times. In the end our food was even forgotten. Please train your staff with a proper onboarding system - then things like this wouldn't happen again. Second thing: inform your customers early if there may be longer waiting times. That would simplify a lot of things and avoid trouble. I give valuable tips here and hope that they will be implemented. It's really a great shop with a lot of potential!

The burgers and fries are actually really nice, but €1 extra for Ketchup/Mayo when I’m ordering an entire meal is SO RIDICULOUS. You have an opportunity to stop this. Make ketchup/mayo free with fries (which are already 4,90, come on…). Let me know when you stopped doing this bullshit, and I will order again. I will probably change my review to 5 stars. I will probably order often. But if you want to charge me €1 for basic sauce, I will never suggest your restaurant to friends. I wish you success but not if you’re disrespecting the burger culture and your customers.

Best burgers I've ever eaten. Which is to say that I really enjoy eating. Portion from the menu was also decent. You leave full, not like other various burger chains. I would have liked to order the cheese sauce separately, but somehow it was only available in combination with fries. Unfortunately, I found the extra charge a bit too much, considering how much the fries cost individually. But it's definitely recommended if you like good burgers.

With self-service and healthy prices, in my opinion there is no need for a tip or you don't have to ask for it! Then it's better to pay your employees decently, it's also better for your karma.

So the food was relatively tasty, except that I ordered a cheeseburger without onions but got a normal hamburger with onions? So apart from that, the food was tasty, service was also quite ok but could definitely be friendlier. I would like to briefly complain about the price because over 10 euros for normal fries and a cheeseburger is really crazy.

The brioche smashburgers are incredibly delicious. The portion is generous, so we were well full. If you are slightly hungry you could easily share the “melt”. The cheese sauce in particular is a real highlight!

There are people at the checkout who don't speak German and you can hardly understand their English. The cashier didn't understand what we wanted, made us pay and then made the order again and said that the rest was in the order. That wasn't true, they conceded twice. After we noticed it, someone who spoke German came and assured us that the money would be transferred back. Of course that wasn't true

Best burger in Berlin for me as of 12/2024. It's always a bit cold to sit inside and you smell like fat when you eat there. When delivered, the burger and fries are also great.

Fast food: Simple atmosphere, friendly service, excellent food and average prices. The quantities are abundant.

The burger simply cannot be beaten in terms of taste, a 12/10. The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean and authentic. I think the drinks are a bit expensive, but that just makes up for the food. I can only recommend it.

Based on the many extremely good reviews, I probably had pretty high expectations. The order was delivered and was still warm despite the long journey. Cheeseburger double beef: as you would expect with a smash burger, bread, meat, cheese and sauce melt into each other, but not in every bite. At first I found it a bit “bland” and towards the middle the only flavor that came through was cheese. SmeltBurger: Similar experience here but the bread has a different (good) taste. Unusual with cucumber and tomato but not bad. Conclusion compared to all smashburgers: solid, very greasy affair. Price performance very good Portions large Fries good but not exceptional either. One sauce is not nearly enough for a portion of fries, so order 2-3.

I’ve been here a couple of times , and besides the price point of things, the quality and experience is very pleasant. The chicken burger in particular blew me away ! Deffo recommend !
