Wir kommen seit 20 Jahren ins Slavia. Manchmal zu zweit, manchmal zu Zehnt, aus Frankfurt, mehrmals im Jahr Wir besuchen Köln ,den FC. Slavia hat uns bisher noch nicht enttäuscht. Von Fleisch bis Pizza, alle haben sich wohlwollend über das Essen in der Gruppe geäußert. Service ist auch sehr zuvorkommend. Manche machen andere Erfahrungen, ist halt so.

Very nice service, very happy with the food. I enjoyed Gypsy Schnitzel and liked it a lot. Goes well with Früh Kölsch beer 😉👍🏻

Nice restaurant right on the Rhine, price performance definitely justified. Would be happy to come back on your next visit and can only recommend it to everyone

Very nice to sit on the Rhine. We had burgers and schnitzel, well what can you say, it was ok but not really recommended. There is still room for improvement when it comes to eating

Great staff and fantastic atmosphere

Malle ambience. The non-alcoholic wheat beer we ordered was not alcohol-free. The Angus burgers tasted like €5 burgers from the fast food joint next door, which you get after going out at 3am, apart from the overpowering aroma from the uncleaned grill. The fries were mostly soggy. All in all, unfortunately a tourist trap, too many different dishes on the menu.

Today, I had a wonderful experience at Slavia restaurant in Cologne, one of our favorite spots for dinner. After enjoying a lovely meal with a friend, I accidentally left my phone on the table and walked away. To my surprise, our receptionist noticed and went out of her way to return it to me, even following me for a few meters to make sure I got it back. I was truly touched by her thoughtfulness and excellent service. If you’re reading this, thank you so much for your kindness—you made my day! Slavia continues to be one of our top choices, and this experience just reinforced why.

Delicious food 2 evenings in a row, friendly staff (if it's good you'll come back), but they need to clean up the men who make music. Very irritating and they also ask for money when you are eating

Very nice atmosphere, beautiful on the Rhine, with a good view. Waiters are always friendly and everything is good. I've been eating at Slavia for 2-3 years now and often, but my last visit was the last straw for me. Food cold, noodles hard. Nothing special, I could do better at home, ordered 2 dishes and still didn't get full, the burger was still very good and tasty back then, unfortunately today you only get a frozen pattie that doesn't even taste like meat, mayo and bad vegetables on it, that's it Bread and it's good. And they charge €16-17 for that. I would love to get my money back because it was the worst meal I've had all year. I'm very disappointed with slavia, since I love the store I'll probably come by a few more times and try to order something different, but the people to my left and right were also disappointed with their food. Never order a burger there, grandma's doormat tastes better.

Food wasn't good, the Hanburger tasted like one from the snack bar around the corner. Beggars asking for money etc. during the meal are not recommended.

The noodles were hardly seasoned! Little taste! And all of this for €17.90

There were an incredible amount of onions in the Jägerschnitzel. The sauce was out of a package and the meat was of poor quality. The staff was quick and friendly.

I was there with my girlfriend and the food was very tasty. We had a pizza prosciutto and pasta with spinach and salmon. The food was very tasty but unfortunately you had to wait a long time… It takes 10 minutes until you order the food and at least another 20-30 minutes pass until the food arrives. Overall, however, it was satisfactory. We paid just under €40 for both dishes together with a cola and an Alster.

If I could, I would only give half a star. I know a few Croatian restaurants, but this one has nothing in common with Croatia and Croatian cuisine. As I am Croatian myself, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

That doesn't even deserve a star. I could eat two plates and I was so hungry but I left half of it somewhere else. sorry but no one can eat that

We were very satisfied with everything and will go back on our next visit to Cologne

Literally the worst place I've ever eaten. The food was terrible and took 45 minutes to arrive. The server managed to interpret our asking where the food was as wanting to take it to go so we had to eat from a plastic container. Just don't go here.

We've now become regulars. Chilling on the Rhine, having delicious cocktails and eating snacks every now and then. I was very hungry yesterday. Ordered liver with rice and tarte flambée, shrimp and salmon. Top. Despite the crowded terrace. I love liver, but I'm demanding. But it was amazing. Buttery tender, could be crushed on the palate. Tarte flambée nice and thin, crispy and really great taste. Can't understand any criticism. Keep it up.

Where our visit started positive with a warm welcome from the employees, the rest turned out to be a wrong choice of restaurant. We orderd a snitzel and burger. The food was brought quite fast but didn't look special. After we finished I went inside to pay. After I got my receipt the waiter asked me to add a tip of 15%. For the food we got I didn't think it was worth it, so I said no thank you. I got a mad reaction from him and after a heavy sigh he turned around and didn't say anything. I would't recommend this place.

Great location, friendly, friendly service but unfortunately not good food. We had pizza, currywurst and salad - and all three dishes were below average. Curry sauce extended/watered down, salad with mustardy sauce, pizza worse than baked - at that moment you are annoyed that you didn't cook it yourself but paid 55 EUR.

Food wants to be the best. Arrogant waiters. Any other eatery will be better than this "restaurant".

The salad was a joke for the price

We sat outside, which is actually quite nice. However, we were seated by the waiter and then not served for what felt like an eternity (more than 15 minutes), even though there were enough service staff there. The drink advertised as Früh Kölsch didn't taste like the Früh company either (we had previously been to the Früh Brauhaus, so we had a direct comparison; it tasted significantly different here). Even when we wanted to pay we had to ask three times and it took more than 10 minutes for a waitress to put the bill on the table without comment.

Hidden costs, side dishes cost extra. So for a salmon and a baked potato you can quickly reach €30

Good location, pleasant ambience, relatively fast service. However, if you want Balkan kebabs, I do not recommend them at all, the worst I have ever eaten in my life... luckily I was starving.

Awful experience. After more than 1 hour and a half waiting, they came with a joke on a plate. Breakfast: 2 runny eggs, 1 spoon of baked beans, a tiny mini bacon, 3 small german sausages and bread.... not even toasted as supposed to be toast. For 13.5 euros. Wonder if I was a men I was treated the same??? Avoid the place.

Great weather, EM atmosphere in every street and a world-class spot on the promenade. Full hut and still super fast and friendly service. Plus a very tasty rump steak and a bifteki. Thumbs up, it wasn't the last time we were guests. Greetings, your DJ Tom 😎✌️

Was für eine Enttäuschung! Wir freuten uns auf leckere kroatische Küche, wurden aber enttäuscht und vor allem nicht satt. Wir hatten den Klassiker Grillteller bestellt. Ich habe schon bei vielen Kroaten gegessen aber so etwas unverschämtes habe ich noch nicht gesehen. Die Portion war winzig. Das man so kleine Hackröllchen überhaupt formen kann!!!! Alles war in Miniatur Ausgabe. Es gab noch nicht einmal Pommes dazu. Normalerweise ist eine Beilage selbstverständlich aber in dieser Touristenfalle muss man die extra zahlen. Hatte ich dann auch getan aber das wurde einem noch nicht einmal gesagt. So kamen die wenigen Fleischstücke ohne Beilage. Es war sowas von enttäuschend, dass ich nur jedem dringend empfehle hier nicht zu essen und diese Abzocke nicht mit zu machen!!!! Nie wieder!!

This is one of the restaurants on the banks of the Rhine overlooking the bridge. As a culture, beer in a glass is famous. We drank beer at night and watched the river and the bridge with keys. I am attaching the menu.

We felt comfortable from the first moment. Very attentive and friendly staff who fulfill every wish (even the unspoken ones). The menu offers a wide range where everyone can find something. The dishes are lovingly and attractively prepared, rich and very tasty. The price-performance ratio is right. We can only recommend Slavia and will definitely be happy to be a guest there again on our next visit to the city.

Nice terrace on the Rhine to enjoy your half liter, we ordered an anti pasta but that was not Italian, more of a Slavic one with pickled vegetables, onion, jalapeno, olives, dried tomato in oil, etc., no meat or the like. far below par.

ATTENTION TRAP! SCAM! Only Kurds work in this “Croatian” shop. It wouldn't be objectionable, but we were promised a meal that would fill us up for an extra €45, but we got the normal portion. We were given a bill and when paying we were told the bill was wrong and we were charged an extra meter of beer.

Super bad service - food is ok. Took them 45 min to bring one pesto pasta.

Tourist stronghold, but very good food (grilled plates), friendly, humorous service and a nice ambience close to the Rhine. Recommended! 👍

While strolling around I felt like having a snack and a glass of wine, I stopped by and at first thought Slavia was a tourist shop with a tractor in front of the door. But then… table on the Rhine, delicious rosé, extremely friendly service. A lot of food for little money. Very positively surprised. Good home cooking.

Today we went to Rhein Zeit Restaurant Essen with friends. The waiter came to us after 15 minutes without greeting us and simply asked what we would like to order. After we ordered cocktails and food, the drinks arrived incorrectly and the food arrived after more than half an hour. When we approached the waiter about it and asked if he could bring the correct cocktails, he said "ok, ok" and never came back. I'm writing this while still sitting in the restaurant and all I can say is: the service here is really bad.

Sorry, but that was nothing. We happened to be there and were really hungry. You could have guessed it. Aggressive guest advertising like on Malle on the promenade. Extremely tight seating. Everything hop hop and fast fast. It takes a while until the order is placed. Then the starter comes together with the main course. When asked about this, the answer was: Yes, yes, thank you, no problem. Pizza not baked properly. Grill plate dry. Unfortunately just not good. The main thing is that the store is full and the occupancy of guests changes quickly. Issues raised are ignored with a smile, but then eyebrows are raised when there is no tip. Always happy to go to Cologne, but unfortunately not here anymore.

We were there on Lord's Day, which was probably not their best day. For 17.90 pleskavica is not a gift, what came was a pretty bland looking plate with a pleskavica that almost certainly came from the frozen department and 2 heaps of rice. The whole thing garnished with a hair in the Pleskavica. And it was so salty. Hallelujah.

Although the location is beautifully located on the Main with a large terrace, the seating is extremely tight in order to accommodate as many guests as possible, which means that you constantly have traffic behind you while you eat. The audience consists mainly of large groups of men who meet to party and drink, or alternatively large stag parties. A few moments after I received the menu, I was asked for my order. Because I didn't order immediately, I had to wait a really long time to place my order. I chose a tarte flambée with salmon and shrimp. You can see in the pictures what tarte flambée with salmon and shrimp means here. The tarte flambée wooden board has seen better days. My conclusion: Here you need a decent alcohol level in order to no longer notice a lot of things. Not a feel-good place.👎🏻

A nice location, friendly staff. Taste good, but not outstanding. The Cola Zero was served without ice and without lemon. The drinks also only came after the food had been served and at 30 degrees...The cocktail S** on the beach tasted quite boring. The knives are very blunt so I had to eat the pizza with my hands. The dessert I ordered at the beginning was forgotten. The visit was nice, but we wouldn't come here again.

Hair can be found on the main course and side dish. When you ask the staff about it, they answer like “yes, what should I do now?”. Not recommendable.

There was dried milk on the cappucino cup, which must have been stuck to the cup for a long time because the dried milk couldn't even be scraped off with a nail, as well as a few drops of dried coffee and should I drink from the cup? ?? NEVER!!!

Great location, good service, top food and drinks

Had lunch here with family. Meals were good taste but small portion. We had 3 dishes with pasta, 2 of them with chicken and 1 with beef. The amount of meat in every portion was ridiciously low, not even 50g of meat there. Also, pasta with chicken supposed to have broccoli, and there was only one small piece of broccoli. Plus + for heating system, it was cold and rainy outside but heaters kept us warm 👍.

The breakfast was not justified for the price. Pure, ready-made food with no taste. There are far better spots for just under €30 for 2 people. However, the service was good.

Food wasn't good. Service totally overwhelmed. Chairs and tables are so close together that smokers smoke all around you. As regular customers we are really disappointed.

We ate well and the prices were in line with the place. One piece of advice might be to tidy up the place a little. Overall I would stay here again!!

Service was very pushy and the food was too salty. Salty enough for my taste but too salty for my family. It's also pretty cold locally.

We ordered different schnitzels. The quality of all of them was very poor, the sauces were even inedible. Based on the otherwise often good reviews, I assume that the other dishes taste better. Maybe you could concentrate more on this and make the map a little smaller.

Unfortunately, our schnitzel was finished from start to finish, the turkey schnitzel was simply horrible and the sauces were pure bags of products. I wouldn't go here to eat, if only to drink and relax. To address the owner's answer: Yes, it was the Slavia restaurant

Hungry from the journey, we sat down here to get something to eat, from there you have a pretty good view. That's it for the positive point. Unfriendly conditions, bad service, no fresh salad, 0815 frozen meat, tastes like a fast food restaurant from a swimming pool. A friendly farewell was also too much to ask. I cannot recommend consumption here.

Was there with a friend at the weekend. Food very good and the staff extremely accommodating. When I'm back in Cologne, my path will definitely take me there again.

Best service and best Aperol on the Rhine! Again and again!

A group of six of us attended this week. A mixture of languages spoken in our group. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, food and drinks were very good. Comfortable seating inside, lots more outside (which we didn’t utilise). No complaints at all.

We only drank cocktails here. They were all super tasty. But the food at the neighboring tables looked good. Nice waiters, we didn't have to wait long. Great view of the Rhine and the Hohenzollern Bridge.

The food was super class. Definitely 5 stars. Rump steak special and minced steak. The ambience at this time is nice in the evening under the baby grill so that it stays cozy at this time 03/2024 The service was also attentive and courteous, but when we wanted to know which crystals (sugar, salt, dish soap... 🤷‍♂️) were left in the last glass of wine spritzer, everyone was speechless. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Unfortunately, there was no request or anything for over an hour. When asked, the food was supposed to be served very quickly. In my opinion, you have simply forgotten about us. Then there is a discussion along the lines of the food is coming now, so I would still be there if someone was at the table with the food.. but not like this! The view and ambience are great due to the location!

The Slavia in Cologne has become our regular restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My children feel very comfortable here. The terrace is wonderful in every season with a view of the Rhine. The terrace is "covered" and equipped with radiant heaters. The rooms above the hotel are also highly recommended. The location and the warm hospitality are just right. Here you are still really a guest. Thank you, you are great.

Service was great - was greeted on arrival. The food was good, and swift service. Regarding price, it was reasonable considering the location. Would recommend having a visit.

Beautiful spot by the river, lovely servers. Garlic bread was incredible (best I've had) but sadly Schnitzel 3/5 not seasoned very well. Still yum, worth going to.

Basil pasta is not greasy, so I was able to eat it smoothly and give my stomach a break! lol Beer is a little expensive, but this is tolerable! ◾︎Basil pasta (11.50€) Even though it's just pasta and basil sauce, it's delicious. It had a bit of a miso flavor, but it was delicious. ◾︎Mozzarella cheese & tomato (8.50€) An appetizer that is sure to be sprinkled with salt. The sauce is also an unusual sour sauce, but please try it with it. We recommend seating on the terrace so you can eat while looking out at the river!

Everyone is upset about the “high” prices in the catering industry. About the “price explosion” because of VAT. Hmm.... We had lunch in Cologne on the banks of the Rhine at Slavia. The food tasted good to us - and was enough to satisfy our hunger. And the prices there... We have no reason to dwell on it. When we are in Cologne again - we have an address where we can go.
