New owners who gave us a very friendly, almost warm welcome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The menu has remained the same and the low prices are still there 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 They especially have Budweiser beer on tap at very low prices.

Very, very nice new owners and staff, the food was really delicious, the drinks were good, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. There were three of us, and we all agree we'll be back. We highly recommend it.

We were a funeral party of about 40 people. Upon entering, we were met with an unpleasant, indefinable, and strange smell. The food was okay – however, it was unfortunately impossible to get a simple roll (they were all pre-filled) – but a good pumpkin soup was offered as an alternative. Everyone was friendly and the service was quick.

I was there with my family for the first time today, and certainly not the last. The value for money is really great, the food was delicious, and you can't complain about the prices either. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Very delicious and authentic cuisine. From schnitzel to rump steak to Croatian cuisine, there's something for everyone. Even large groups get their food served at the same time and hot. The only drawback: card payments are not accepted. Unfortunately, this is no longer acceptable in 2025. Conclusion: Always happy to return. Highly recommended!

Since the change of ownership, the service has become very cold and unfriendly. The food is okay. Unfortunately, the terrace has been covered so that no light comes in anymore.

Always friendly service, very tasty food.

We stopped by here again after a long time. We received a friendly welcome and were immediately seated in the beer garden. All the tables in the restaurant were free, and outside, except for one, everything was occupied. Our order was taken promptly, the drinks arrived quickly (as was to be expected on such a swelteringly warm day). And despite the busy schedule, the food arrived after what felt like half a glass of beer. The mixed platter is described in detail in another review here, but I can only add that it was very tasty. My wife ate the cevapcici, six pieces, which were a bit thinner but twice as long as usual – she was also extremely satisfied. This was accompanied by djuvec rice with fresh bell peppers, fried potato sticks (not industrial fries), and avjar on a lettuce leaf, which could have been a bit spicier, though. And speaking of criticism: you can't really do without card payments these days... actually! Okay, but the prices are unbelievable! Where in Cologne can you still get a 0.2l Kölsch for under €2? Here!

It was our first time in the beer garden. It was a very quiet, pleasant location. The service was very quick. The food we had was extremely delicious, and we were quite full. The prices were OK.

Visited here for the first time today! A bit hidden and inconspicuous. In terms of ambience, it is simple but functional, relatively modern, perhaps a bit bland inside. Large beer garden (can be covered if necessary) which was very well filled today. Here too, everything is simple but functional in terms of seating! We received a very friendly welcome and were able to choose a table inside! The menu is relatively large and that usually doesn't mean good quality food! Appetizer: 1. Onion soup baked with cheese! It was very good and in my opinion it wasn't a packet soup! It was simply too good in terms of taste and preparation, as a lot of cheese was used and not just for gratinating. There were also pieces of bread included in the soup. Conclusion: Very good and absolutely recommended 2. Garlic bread baked with sheep's cheese! Nothing elaborate, but even the simplest starters can be very good, like this one! Conclusion: Very good and very tasty Grilled main courses: 1. Minced steak filled with sheep's cheese, fries and rice (dressed with tomato)! Very good, freshly prepared and to the point! It wasn't grilled dry and juicy and tasty. Very good portion!!!! Conclusion: Excellent and very tasty! 2. Mixed plate that had it all! 1 x large schnitzel 1 x grilled bacon 2 x large cevapcici 1 x rump steak (think at least 120gr) 1 x turkey steak (also approx. 120gr) Fries rice Something about salad garnish I thought that can't be true! This portion is amazing when the plate is in front of you! Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted fantastic! Conclusion: Simply sensational and absolutely a highlight in terms of taste and portion size! Dessert: Vanilla ice cream with hot cherries and cream! You can't go wrong here and it was good and tasty! Overall conclusion: A far underrated Croatian that is simple in its ambience, but delivers high quality from the kitchen! Price performance ratio is sensational and is actually not in relation and it is a mystery to us how this can be achieved economically! Apparently it works but, respect for that!!! We'd love to come back regularly! The highlight of our visit today was a special guest at the IVA, where we had to look 3 times because it was so wonderful to see and we couldn't believe it. LUDWIG SEBUS!!! For us Cologne residents it’s a household name and a living legend! To see this prominent Cologne resident still so positive and fit at the age of 99 is very nice to see as a Cologne resident! We were very touched!

Despite the large group, everyone's food came at the same time and was delicious. All guests were very satisfied. The service and all the staff were absolutely friendly and warm. A super nice family restaurant. We will definitely come back and if there is another reason to celebrate, we will choose Restaurant Iva again. Wir wohnen die Ecke rum, Luftlinie etwa 800 Meter, Rossbachstr. Die Familie hatten wir eingeladen, um den Geburtstag meiner Ehefrau etwas nachzufeiern. Öffnungszeit ab 17.00 Uhr, zahlreiche Innen- sowie überdachte Außenplätze, genügend Parkplätze hinter dem Haus und im weiteren Umkreis. Da wir das Lokal unter der neuen Leitung noch nicht kannten, waren wir sehr gespannt darauf, wie es laufen würde. Es hat sich echt gelohnt 🙂 Kurz nach unserer Ankunft um 17.00 Uhr füllte sich das Lokal zusehends. Die weibliche Bedienung war der Hit. Schnell, zügig, schlagfertig und mit viel Humor ausgestattet ( sehr kinderfreundllich)........mir rätselhaft wie die junge Dame bei der Vielzahl der Gäste alles richtig aufnimmt und auf den Tisch bringt. Die verschiedenen Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte und Nachtisch kamen relativ schnell, waren wirkich sehr schmackhaft und reichllich, (für mich war ein riesiger Eisbecher der krönende Abschluss) Zum krönenden Abschluss gehen Kaffe und Absacker auf das Haus, das gibt es nicht überall. Klares Urteil ...wir kommen wieder !..... 🙂...💖

Good restaurant with a daily changing lunch menu, gladly again

Dish 1: Funny Bosniak: (rump steak stuffed with cooked ham and cheese, with Djuvec rice, French fries and onion). Meat was very mixed and without any seasoning..., little rice but ok, French fries quite good, the onions, which were not listed, were unnecessary. Dish 2: Minced steak, fried egg, fried potato: meat actually inedible, solid like a solid rubber tire and absolutely NOT tasty, fried egg with skin, fried potato completely ok. ... Service: Like a wooden block, Zack Zack Boom Boom!!! Croatian hospitality was completely missing here. No recommendation!

We discovered the restaurant by chance and were thrilled. Very friendly staff, great selection on the menu and good value for money. Large portions and finally a restaurant that offers schnitzel variations again! The service was very attentive and the food came quickly even though there were a lot of guests there. You can see into the kitchen and everyone was very busy there. We will be back definitely!! There are also plenty of parking spaces nearby!

War heute zum Mittagstisch da. Ich habe das Tagesgericht -Parmesankotelett mit Bandnudeln- bestellt. Leider sah es beim servieren schon unappetitlich aus. Kotelett vor lauter Soße nicht zu sehen. Nudeln ungesalzen. Ich kann das "IVA" nicht weiterempfehlen.

Ist schon okay der Laden. Essen und Service sind wirklich gut. Die Getränkepreise sind auch ziemlich günstig. An der Einrichtung bzw der Beleuchtung könnte allerdings noch gearbeitet werden. Aber einen Slivovitz oder ein Espresso gibt es auch noch aufs Haus dazu. 👍👍👍

Sehr schnuckeliges Restaurant mit Deutsch-/Kroatischer Küche. Das Essen ist gut wenn auch etwas lieblos präsentiert. Die Karte übersichtlich aber mit guter Auswahl. Der Service ist flott und freundlich. Sehr kaltes, nüchternes Ambiente was aber Geschmackssache ist.

Wir sind immer sehr zufrieden und werden auch zukünftig wieder hier essen gehen.

Sehr nette Bedienung lecker Essen. Ambiente ist ok. Der Punktabzug ist für die zu laute Küche. Wen das Fleischklopfen nicht stört hat einen perfekten Abend.

Wir kannten das Lokal Antim und hörten, von Freunden das es noch ein weiteres Lokal geben würde und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Service schnell und sehr freundlich. Essen in meinem Fall ein Champion Schnitzel, waren sehr gut. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Wir kommen wieder.

Ehrliche Küche mit frischen Zutaten. Geschmacklich herausragend gut, vor allem, wenn man die günstigen Preise beachtet, beeindruckt mich das noch mehr. Die Inhaberin hat uns herzlich begrüßt und authentisch freundlich bedient. Service, wie man ihn sich in vielen Lokalitäten wünschen würde. Das war unser erstes und mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Ma(h)l! Vielen Dank für dieses tolle Konzept. Eine Anmerkung zum Ambiente: das Licht könnte etwas weniger "grell" und die Tische für 4 Personen ein klein wenig größer sein. Aber das wirklich nur als "Zukunfts- Empfehlung". Wir kommen so oder so wieder! ;-)

Ich und meine Lebensgefährtin Rosalba Sind Beide Elektro Rollstuhl Fahrer und das ganze Restaurant Team ist fort immer echt mega freundlich und sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist auch immer 100 % TOP und frisch und immer so lecker wie bei Mama zu Hause. Wir fahren immer gerne dorthin. Bitte weiter so und viel Gesundheit.

Nette Atmosphäre, gutes Essen, nette Bedienung. Man sollte aber auf jeden Fall einen Tisch reservieren

Das Essen war mega lecker und endlich ein Restaurant, welches nicht aufgrund von Corona oder Inflation die Preise in die Höhe schießen lässt. Komme gerne wieder.

Ich und meine Frau waren zum ersten Mal da. Bestimmt aber auch zum letzten. Bei der Ankunft ziemlich mürrisch von der Chefin(?) begrüßt: "habt ihr reserviert"? Nein, haben wir nicht. Und da wir Ü60 sind - bestehen wir auf die Form "Sie". Der Saal war leer, die Terrasse 2/3 besetzt, es gab noch mind. 2 freie Tische. Der nette Kellner hat danach den ersten Eindruck gemildert und diese Note kräftig nach oben getrieben. Essen war nicht schlecht, so wie Hausmannskost, aber für den Preis könnte man etwas mehr erwarten. Der nächstgelegene griechische Imbiss kann das wirklich besser. Von der kroatischen Freundlichkeit, die wir von anderen Lokalen kennen, nicht mal eine Spur. Und Trinkgeld, was eigentlich für den (wirklich sehr netten) Kellner gedacht war, hat die Chefin einkassiert. Ich will dieses Restaurant nicht mies machen. Vielleicht hatten die Leute einen schlechten Tag oder so. Aber für ihre Leistung wollen sie Geld haben - und diese Leistung war dieses Geld nicht wert.

Hatten eine größere Feier dort auf der Terasse. Essen war sehr lecker und nett in Buffetform angerichtet. Leider musste man auf Getränke länger warten, da die Bedienung viel im Innenbereich des Restaurants unterwegs war. Haben dann öfter drinnen bestellt, dann kamen die Getränke sofort an den Tisch. Die Terasse und die Tische waren schön dekoriert und zurecht gemacht. War ein schönes Fest ☺️

Sehr gute Küche, sehr nettes Personal was auch bei vollem Lokal einen klaren Kopf behält und sehr freundlich ist. Tischreservierung ratsam. Auch für Vegetarier zu empfehlen.

Sehr nette Begrüßung. Essen auch lecker. Scheinbar zu wenig Personal für so viele Gäste. Nach dem ersten Getränk wurden wir irgendwie vergessen. Doch was ich ganz gruselig finde, das man nicht mit Karte zahlen kann. Dieses sollte man bei der Reservierung am Telefon schon gesagt bekommen.

Essen kam bei größerer Gesellschaft (20) Recht zügig und gleichzeitig, jedoch Fleisch teilweise zäh und kein Salat, auch keine Salatgarnitur dabei. Nachtisch konnte nicht mehr bestellt werden, da Küche schon geschlossen.

Ich war heute mittag da. Vorab, Service sehr nett, Ambiente auch ok. Reispfanne bestand aus einer Portion Djuvecreis mit 6 Oliven und einem Hauch Schafskäse; eine Miniportion, die geschmacklich nicht überzeugte. Der Lachs mit Ofenkartoffel war auch nichts, totgebraten, dadurch sehr trocken. Alles in allem keine Empfehlung...

Ich zum Reueessen da. Das Personal war sehr einfühlsam und freundlich. Außerdem waren die Portionen sehr reichlich.

Rustikales Kroatisches Restaurant. Preis- Leistung sehr gut, hier darf man nicht haute Cousine erwarten, das macht aber auch nichts. Das Essen war wie für den Preis wie erwartet und hat gut geschmeckt. Der Service war immer präsent, was will man mehr.

Beim Reuessen kam die Bedienung im Jogginganzug. Außer Wasser und Kaffee gab es keine anderen Getränke. Trotz Kälte wurden die Heizstrahler ausgeschaltet. Ganz schlechter Service. Nicht zu empfehlen.
