Ordered a cordon Bleu schnitzel and I was still partly raw inside was let down by the food

We stopped there because we were on our way to the concert. The place was packed with all our fellow fans. The waitress and the owner weren't prepared, but they were incredibly efficient and kept everything under control. Despite the crowd, they still managed a smile and a friendly word. Fantastic!

Authentic Croatian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere I visited the Croatian restaurant Freiheit in Cologne – located right next to the Lanxess Arena, making it ideal before or after an event. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic decor, with a touch of Balkan flair. The food was good overall: My steak was tender and well-seasoned, and the portions were ample. Unfortunately, the roast beef was a bit tough, and the fries could have been hotter and crispier. The selection of Croatian classics such as cevapcici, mixed grills, and goulash soup is extensive. The service was friendly and attentive, but a bit overwhelmed with a full house – drinks sometimes arrived late, and special requests weren't always accommodated. Conclusion: A nice restaurant with honest cuisine and a good location. If you enjoy Croatian home cooking and are looking for a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go. I'd be happy to return – with slightly lower expectations.

The service was friendly and efficient. There's nothing to complain about. There was some kind of water damage or something in the restroom. I'm deducting a star just for that.

We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance, wanting to grab a bite to eat before the concert. It's quaint and cozy. The food was delicious and the prices were absolutely reasonable. The service was attentive and friendly. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

I can highly recommend this place. We were in Cologne during the Lidl Final4 and came across this restaurant. Only about 500m from the Hotel Stadtpalais. A cozy restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food tastes very good and the prices are really ok. We were there twice. A clear recommendation from me.

My friends and I visited Köln for carnival, looking for a place to drink some beers we just found this amazing place, very welcoming, good atention and a great atmosphere. The owners of the place are a very kind family that open the doors of the place for us. Even they play a couple of latin songs for us as well :) we felt like back in home. We had a really good time! Unfortunately we had not have the chance to try the food but I must confess It looked really tasty :)

The Wiener Schnitzel is delicious, even better than when I went to famous restaurants in Vienna.

We made an online reservation and arrived at the correct time and they told us the reservation was no good, they claimed they didn’t have our reservation and that they had no space for us. We showed them our e-mail with the confirmation, but still they told us “NO”. 1 minute later when we walked outside again, we got an email saying that the reservation was “cancelled” by them. BULLSHIT restaurant, NEVER GO THERE!

Sehr leckeres Essen und wahnsinnig reichhhaltig. Also man geht definitiv nich hungrig raus. Die Preise sind super und das beste ist das nette Personal. Obwohl wir spontan zu 6t vorbeikamen, haben wir zügig einen Tisch bekommen. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und lädt zum Verweilen ein.

You can eat quite well there. But you shouldn't expect anything great. The portions are absolutely sufficient, as is the price - at least for the grill plate. The service was nice, but the ambience wasn't great.

Was here after final4 day 1 so maybe more people than usual so some understanding if the staff had a lot to do but a smile costs nothing. Was a nice place with perfectly ok prices and if you buy a beer you get a 0.2 unless you say otherwise. We took mixed grill and snitzel. Liver was not good but we don't think so anywhere.

Very nice local family business, very friendly. I've been there for the 4th time now. At lunchtime you can of course get the food faster because there isn't much going on in the evening, it takes a while, to eat it's worth it. Grilled plates as well as Jägerschnitzel or steak skewers are very tasty, yes the food is expensive but because of the quality and The preparation is fine again. I can only recommend the restaurant and look forward to the next visit

The first drink was still good and quick service. Unfortunately, after you didn't order any food, no waiter was seen. Unfortunately, waving didn't help either. We actually wanted to try the food at some point, but it's good that there are plenty of other restaurants. A good meal also includes good service.

We discovered the restaurant by chance at the Lanxess Arena and were thrilled. Despite the weekend, a table was arranged for us and we were served very friendly. The food was excellent and very generous. The restaurant has a very nice, cozy atmosphere, where the Kölsch at the bar would also be delicious. Gladly again.

A small neighbourhood pub with generous food portions at the pricepoint. Friendly barman took the orders and served the food. Service somewhat slow, but this is seemingly and owner managed business, so not a serious problem. Our party of 3 were happy with our meals and felt we had good value for money. A honest offering all round.

Nicht empfehlenswert. Essen für den Preis nicht adäquat. Fleisch zäh, Pommes hart und nur lauwarm. Andere Tische wurden vorrangig bedient. Lange Wartezeit und dann teilweise das Falsche. Bei Ansprache auf die Defizite bekommt man zur Antwort "schlechte Döner kosten auch schon 10€". Bedienung komplett überfordert. Mir ist es ein Rätsel warum der Laden voll besetzt war.

Die Fleischportionen sind zwar üppig, allerdings ist das Fleisch auf dem Piratenspieß (3 Stück) mehr als durch und zäh. Für einen Salat mit Putenbrust für 13,50 habe ich mehr erwartet. Die 5 Maiskörner und Bohnen musste man suchen, das Fleisch trocken. 4 Stückchen Tomate sowie Gurke und fertiger Krautsalat - da ist definitiv Luft nach oben. Kellner scheinbar überfordert, Getränke vergessen oder ewig gewartet um die Bestellung aufzugeben.

Essen war top! Service war sehr nett, aber leider nicht oft an Tisch. Ambiente kann man an der Straße nichts machen. Würde dennoch wegen den Essen nochmal hingehen.

The place is decent if you want to have a quick bite of food. For drinks, mostly beer and some wines, no cocktails that I saw. The food is okay. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Aus meiner Empfindung die Sterne die auf Google sind definitiv nicht verdient! Essen war aus meiner Sicht unterdurchschnittlich gut, ich hatte Schweinelendchen und Champignonsoße dazu. Die Pilze schmeckten leider so als seien sie aus dem Glas oder der Dose gekommen. Soße war durchschnittlich nichts besonderes... Fleisch war okay, Kroketten unterdurchschnittlich lecker. Bedienung war sehr schnell, was aufgrund der wenig Gäste aber auch kein Problem sein sollte. Ich würde es aber aus Sicht des Gastgebers überdenken, ob ich Stammgäste in meinem Restaurant mit einer Musikbox frauenfeindliche und sexistische KIZ Musik abspielen lasse. Ich will wirklich nicht als Spießer rüber kommen bin sehr tolerant, aber bei einem Restaurantbesuch erwarte ich definitiv nicht, dass ich vom Nachbartisch mit Rap? beschallt werde (Wir sprechen von Musik bis die Gäste den Tisch verlassen haben und nicht von 2,3 Liedern.) Hatten die Gäste selber darauf angesprochen, sie reagierten allerdings sehr gereizt und aggressiv auf uns. Das wir die Bedienung aktiv darauf ansprechen mussten, obwohl die schon mindestens 3x an unserem Platz vorbei gelaufen war versteh ich wirklich nicht. Diese hat dann leise mit dem Stammgäste gesprochen, die Musiklautstärke wurde nur etwas reduziert nach 7 Minuten wurde sie dann aber wieder aufgedreht. Deutz hat viele andere schöne Restaurants im Umkreis, dieses werden wir zukünftig meiden.

Jeder Cent zu schade.Absolut überforderte , unorganisierter Service. für vier Gäste im Lokal mussten wir eineinhalb Stunden für eine Pizza und Nudelgericht zur Mitnahme warten. Das Ergebniss: Pizza verbrannt und die Nudeln waren für Arrabiata neutral. Schärfe blieb aus aber dafür bds sehr versalzen....nicht zu empfehlen....Schade um jeden Cent und Schande für die italienische Küche

Also ich habe schon ein besseres Schnitzel gegessen ich denke mal dass es fertig Essen war und das Hawaii Schnitzel irgendwie tiefgefroren war also war jetzt nicht besonders an sonsten die Getränke waren schön kalt danke.

Het buiten terras is aan de rand van een kruising met verkeerslichten daardoor ruik je op zijn tijd de uitlaatgassen van het verkeer, dat is jammer. Er is een ruime kaart, service zeer goed, en het eten ook.

Gutes Essen zu guten Preisen, waren damals nach der Gamescom 2022 dort und das Essen war super schneller und freundlicher Service sowie schönes städtisches Ambiente. Dieses Jahr waren wir nicht in Köln aber bei Gelegenheit werden wir wieder dort essen gehen.

Essen war spitze. Weil ich bei der Grillplatte keine Leber esse, hat die Dame mir stattdessen Cevapcici drauf gamacht. Sie war super nett und die Preisleistung ist mehr als angemessen. Nur sind die Getränke in Köln generell etwas teuer im Gegensatz zu Frankfurt. Aber gut, das hat das Erlebnis nicht gemindert. Dort würde ich immer wieder essen gehen. Auch zu empfehlen!

In meinem Leben war dies das 1. kroatische Restaurant, wo es keinen Salat vor dem Hauptgang gab und auch keinen Kurzen nach dem bezahlen. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste am Nachmittag und haben 40 Min. auf das grauenhafte Essen gewartet! 17,50 Euro für einen KLEINEN Grillteller. Es gab nur 2 zur Auswahl. Das Kotelett wollten wir beide nicht, wurde aber trotzdem volle Summe abgerechnet. 2 Tütchen Mayo/Ketchup haben wir nicht geöffnet, standen trotzdem mit 1 Euro in der Rechnung! Das Fleisch war zu lange gebraten, teilweise verbrannt und zäh. Die Leber völlig ausgetrocknet und die Pommes geschmacksfrei und pappig. Es war einfach ungenießbar und die Sorte Kölsch war uns unbekannt, zu warm und schmeckte ebenso nicht. Es gibt übrigens zu keinem Essen in der Karte einen Salat!!!!! Da muss man erstmal drauf kommen!!!"
