Skihütte Oberbeuren in Kaufbeuren

We were visiting this area and were looking for a good restaurant for dinner. Based on the positive reviews on Google Maps, we decided to try this place. Unfortunately we didn't like the quality of the food. The restaurant offers beautiful views, stylish interiors and friendly staff. I ordered a schnitzel with potatoes, but unfortunately I received an over-fried, dry and greasy schnitzel as well as greasy fries that tasted like finished products. I was very disappointed because for 19 euros you would expect something better. There was no sauce with the dish, so I had to eat it with regular ketchup - but even with that it was inedible and I couldn't finish it. My husband got a pretty good dish - I can't remember the exact name, but it reminded me of goulash with braised cabbage. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The prices are quite high and there are certainly better alternatives.

Since the owner changed, the ski hut has been fully recommended. The food is very tasty and there are great dishes. They also suggest alternative side dishes if you can't eat certain foods. The atmosphere is really nice and the waitresses are very friendly.

Absolute 10/10 - nothing to complain about!

Very good cuisine, a varied menu, absolutely fair prices and a great view - everything your heart desires, we'll be happy to come back. It's also great to not only find run-of-the-mill standard dishes on the menu, but also delicious home-style cooking such as pea stew

Super nice excursion restaurant.

We often went out to eat and always felt comfortable, but on December 29, 24 at a family dinner with 9 people, we left disappointed. Food was good as always. Two of us took deer and ordered cranberry with it, for which we paid €3 more, and one lady didn't finish and was charged 0.80 cents for the box. We eat out often, but we've never paid extra for cranberries at Wild, and if we ever go to the ski hut again, we'll take all our bowls from home with us.🙈🙈🙈

A super cozy place with a wonderful view over the country and very good food. Unfortunately, the name ski hut signals a certain anonymity and mass processing, but we were very friendly and looked after at a family get-together and felt really welcome. The food was lovingly prepared and tasted excellent and you were full. My Kässpatzen were excellent. Overall, a well-rounded and very pleasant stay. If one point of criticism were required, it would be the somewhat sober, cold and careless toilets and washing areas with cobwebs on the ceiling. But that's really only on the side.

Just beautiful. Price/performance/service fits 100%. Will reserve in March 25 wd.

We came across this restaurant by chance when we were looking for a place to eat in the area... The term ski hut might put some people off, but we took a chance... We didn't regret our decision, but were pleasantly surprised... Inside it's nice and rustic with lots of wood, terrace with a nice view, friendly and fast service and great food... When we're in the area again we already know where we'll stop...

Good food in a very nice atmosphere, very attentive staff. When the weather is good, there is a very nice view over Kaufbeuren. A nice detail are the menus lasered into wood. Always my pleasure.

November 2024: There is absolutely nothing wrong with the service and ambience. In this respect, absolutely recommended. The food (venison goulash / duck) was good so far.

Whether a quick detour after a walk or to enjoy a bit of the view, the restaurant is a good choice. A good selection of dishes and drinks is available. We visited the beer garden and enjoyed the sun. The service is friendly. Parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant.

We always enjoy coming to the ski hut and are happy to take a detour here to do so. The view of Kaufbeuren and the Ostallgäu is beautiful. A big compliment to the kitchen, the food is excellent and we've already had a lot from the menu. The staff and services are always very friendly, courteous and helpful. The Oberbeuren ski hut is an absolute insider tip! The rustic, cozy ambience offers the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening. The food is simply great - from hearty dishes to hearty specialties, everything is fresh and tastefully prepared. The service is warm and attentive, you feel completely comfortable. The location is particularly beautiful with the wonderful view, which rounds off the experience. If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by here.

Birthday party was great. Top location, inviting, cozy and great view. Food was very good, highly recommended. Service was good, never left with dry glasses. Only one service person was a bit child-unfriendly, which isn't necessarily great. Unfortunately, the children's meals were only delivered after repeated requests, but they were also only delivered after the adults' meals. Therefore 1 star deducted.

Watered down sparrows without cheese, mini pieces of meat, too expensive for the presentation. Just the view is great!

We were very satisfied with the service and food, we liked it and would happily recommend it. A small note on the coleslaw salad, it could be refined. See you again!

I really enjoyed it here. We were there in a large group (more than 20) and the service was still excellent. Highly recommended, also as a destination after a hike. The menu leaves nothing to be desired.

We had lunch with three people. It was very well attended. The service women were very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and in the right quantity. I consider the pricing in the ski hut to be fair. Once again an address that we can recommend.

Exactly what we were looking for, Bavarian, rustic and delicious. Plus with a really impressive view. And the staff was very attentive and friendly, thanks to Ronja & colleagues! 😊 Definitely great for cyclists who want to take a quick breather.

I have been a fan of the ski hut for a long time because of the good food and great atmosphere That was absolutely not the case today I celebrated my birthday here today with my family and friends There were 14 of us and 12 people absolutely didn't like the food Service was also very sparse If we hadn't gotten up ourselves to say that we would like drinks, we probably wouldn't have gotten them either Food arrived so delayed that it was impossible to wait until everyone had eaten otherwise half of us would have had a cold meal When we complained, it was largely ignored or other s were perceived and claimed that it wasn't right Criticism of the food is probably not handled very well here The later the evening got, the more you were ignored Because the staff was more busy tidying up and cleaning and driving away the guests than taking care of the guests

Well, food is from the bucket that the boss brings in the Porsche and a hartz 4 from the waitress would be a better source of money 3 times ski hut 3 times spray chair thanks for that

A really nice place with a wonderful view and delicious food. I also like the selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. Schnitzel was large but could have been a little spicier

We really enjoyed trying German food for the first time. I recommend the mushrooms in cream sauce with dumpling. The schnitzel and potato salad. The venison with cabbage and spagzels. Beautiful location and good atmosphere. Ok service. Busy and limited parking but still managed to get a car park.

We recently went to the ski hut for a small snack in the evening and really enjoyed our stay. The service was very friendly and our wishes were implemented well. The ambience and view are very nice. The “Bavarian tapas” were delicious and the portion was enough for 2 people (we also received 2 slices of bread). We would like to come again.

The ski hut is in a great location and can even be reached on foot in just a few minutes. Unfortunately the food on Easter Monday evening was disappointing. The spaetzle for the Kässpatzen and the Maultaschen were ready-made products - I don't have to go to a restaurant for that. The crust of the roast was not crispy at all. The wine spritzer would have been nicer in a wine glass. It's a shame, otherwise we were always very satisfied.

Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war freundlich! Die Einrichtung des Gastzimmers kann man als behaglich bezeichnen. Gute Aussicht nach Osten auf Kaufbeuren. Auch auf der Terrasse kann man die Mahlzeit gut einnehmen!

Sehr schöne Terrasse mit gigantischem Panoramablick. Sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das Ambiente im Lokal ist ansprechend. Freundliches Personal. Auf der Speisekarte ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Wir hatten die 2 Allgäuer Schnitzel mit Rucola-/Kartoffelsalat, aber sowas von schmackhaft und reichlich. Vor allem die Idee den Rucola mit Kartoffelsalat zu mischen war ein Traum. Die Schnitzel so herzhaft und schmackhaft. Wir werden garantiert wieder zu Gast sein. Für mich hat die Skihütte Oberbeuren einfach ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10 Sterne verdient.

Vonn aussen wirklich nicht ansprechend, von innen jedoch sehr gelungen. Essen (in meinem Fall Burger) alles minimal mild gewürzt, sossen sind jedoch top. Aus der Masse sticht das Reh mit Spätzle und Rotkraut stark hervor. Portionen deutlich überdurchschnittlich (Vor Allem Kaiserschmarrn)

Ich kann das Lokal 100% weiter empfehlen. Das Essen und Servise sind einfach MEGA!!!!!!!!Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Netter Service. Leider sollten wir im kleinen Nebenraum sitzen. Das war eher ungemütlich. Der alkoholfreie Punsch ist sehr lecker. Wir hatten einen Burger und den Brotzeit-Teller. Der Bürger war sehr lecker. Die Brotzeitplatte in Ordnung. Es wird zu wenig Brot dazu gereicht. Würden aber nochmal dort essen

Sowohl bei Sonne auf der Terrasse mit der super Aussicht, als auch drinnen bei Schmuddelwetter, immer gemütlich und toller Service. Egal ob Brotzeit oder Mittagessen, die Qualität passt und der Preis ist angemessen. Wir gehen gerne wieder hin.

Der beste Schweinsbrotn und a resche Krustn, des Blaukraut, der Knedl und a richtige Schweinsbrotnsoß, so muaß a Schweinsbrotn schmecka Sehr zu empfehlen

Sehr leckeres, hochwertiges Essen in einem stilvoll rustikal eingerichtetem Restaurant. Die Kellnerinnen sind immer äußerst freundlich.

Das Essen war wie immer sehr sehr lecker, reichliche Portion und ein Genuss! Egal was wir gegessen haben, jeder war sehr zufrieden und gut satt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und das Ambiente entspricht genau dem Namen: Skihütte, urig, gemütlich und mit dem gewissen Charme aus alten Zeiten in guter Dosierung . Ganz besonders schön ist die Aussicht, vor allem wenn das Wetter so eine herrliche Winterlandschaft mit Sonne verzaubert wie am 1. Advent . Und wenn die Alpenkette klar zu sehen ist, das macht es zum wunderbaren Erlebnis.

Zum Standort der Skihütte lässt sich sagen, das es zwar etwas am Hang liegt, mit dem Auto, dem Rad oder zu Fuß trotzdem erreichtbar. Die Location ist gut gestaltet und passend zum Thema. Das Essen, war in meinem Fall mit einem Cordon Bleu nicht so ganz gelungen, da ist definitiv noch Luft nach oben. In Sachen Qualität der Ware, wäre hier sicherlich noch etwas herauszuholen. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt ist die enorm lange Wartezeit, wenn das Restaurant gut besucht ist, dann kann bis zur Essenslieferung doch schonmal eine Stunde vergehen, was definitiv zu lang ist. Die Servicekräfte waren freundlich. Alles in allem gibt es hier Verbesserungspotenzial.

Das hat mal richtig Spaß gemacht. Eine Hütte mit ❤️. Tolle Lage, noch toller Karte Und das aller tollste es hat auch prima geschmeckt. Auch der Preis und die freundliche Bedienung waren den Weg wert.

Ein empfehlenswerter Kaufbeurer Klassiker mit einem traumhaften Blick über die Ostallgäuer Hügel und in die Berge... Das Essen ist meistens lecker und enttäuscht wird man eigentlich nie. Der Service ist leider etwas schwankend in der Qualität - mal richtig klasse und dann auch wieder mal "nur" durchschnittlich. Da ist noch ein wenig Luft nach oben...
