Great delicious food, very friendly staff. nice atmosphere. The only thing that i would like to see improve is the door, its a bit odd, you cant close it completely and people often step outside to smoke and dont pull the door closed, i had to repeatedly push it closed to avoid the wind and smoke.

It wasn't that long ago that we were at another restaurant and had a fish stir-fry, and it was fantastic, but we were really surprised that everything, from the appetizer to the dessert, was better than this fish. The dumplings were surprising, even more so with the sauce. The filling was super intense, the meat juicy and tender, the vegetables crunchy. I then added rice to the broth, and it was damn good. For dessert, there was cheesecake, tender and creamy as ever, with caramelized sugar and a little cream on the side—a poem. Despite the small shop and the fact that we were seated right in the middle, we didn't feel cramped, observed, or disturbed, but rather comfortable and invited. The staff was also super nice. We'd never been to the restaurant before, so the waitress explained everything to us nicely and precisely: how the menu is structured, which ramens tasted in which direction, how we could customize our meal, and which term refers to which ingredient. We'll definitely be back to find out what's behind the VIP card. We paid €25 per person, but as I said, we had a starter, main course, and dessert, plus a drink and extras, so the food was absolutely worth it. There's often a line outside, but we were lucky, so I can't comment on the wait time.

We go there often. The food is really excellent and very tasty, but the wait times are unbearable. It takes about an hour and a half for the food to arrive. There aren't enough staff to serve. The staff is overwhelmed. When three tables want to pay, no one takes any more orders. It's a shame. Because so many people are sitting in the small room, it's also very loud and not a relaxing atmosphere.

As soon as the door opened, I was greeted warmly in Japanese – a small gesture, but it immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. I was seated right away, and the service was attentive and respectful from the start. I ordered Sapporo Miso Ramen and jasmine tea. The wait was about 30 minutes – a good sign for me. Freshness takes time, and this was absolutely confirmed: The ramen was simply amazing – a true explosion of flavor. Rich broth, perfectly balanced seasoning, and great garnishes. I felt like I was already in Tokyo – which is perfect, because I'm currently planning my first trip there and wanted to try what real ramen tastes like beforehand. The jasmine tea was pleasantly mild, just right for the robust ramen. I paid by card – entered my PIN, and the waiter respectfully turned away: a small gesture, but remarkable and professional. Another warm "Bye" in Japanese as I left – rounded off the experience. It was my first time there—but certainly not my last. If you're looking for authentic ramen with hospitality and attention to detail, this is the place for you. 5 out of 5 stars—highly recommended!

The taste is really, really good. Unfortunately, the overall concept, with long wait times, few tables, and the open ice cream parlor next door, is rather suboptimal.

I hardly ever review, but wow! Great atmosphere, service, and extremely authentic, yet with its own unique twist. It's the little details, like the little food notes, that make it even more magical.

We went to SJ Ramen in Osnabrück. Absolutely delicious! And above all: a taste of Japan in the heart of Osnabrück! Only when you look outside do you feel like you're brought back to reality. :-) We'd love to come back.

SJ Ramen in Bielefeld is the best ramen shop in the area. We've been going there regularly for two years now, and we're as impressed every time as we were the first time. They serve authentic ramen. A great shop but due to its popularity it is often overcrowded at peak times so if you want to eat on site then plan your time but in my opinion it is worth it. Food very tasty but also expensive. Depending on the time of day, plan to wait for 1 hour (afternoon to evening area)

Very nice restaurant in a classic Japanese style. Unfortunately no reservation is possible, but the waiting time is less than 15 minutes, so everything is within reason. Service is excellent, ramen also very good.

Phew.. where should I start??? Each dish is really exceptionally tasty, and all the side dishes are also really high quality and tasty. For me it was like a short vacation to Japan that completely convinced me. Even these small cultural details such as the shouting of the kitchen staff when new guests arrive, as is culturally common in such restaurants in Japan... awesome! To the furnishings... when you are served such delicious food and then this Cultural subtleties... and then look around... yep, you were in Osaka for a short time in your favorite ramen restaurant!

Highly recommended! With chopsticks and a small wooden spoon, after a short wait the dishes arrived at our table beautifully prepared and hot. The dishes tasted very good throughout and were a decent size. The staff was very nice and on point.

Yesterday I was at Sj Ramen with my husband and I'm exhausted, the fact that I can't eat there every day because of the 1 hour drive is killing me! 🥹. It was so incredibly delicious, we have never eaten Japanese food so well!!. And the service worker Nicole was so incredibly great and sweet, you could really tell how much fun she had with her job! Unbelievable, we will 100% come back.❤️❤️

The most authentic ramen shop I've eaten at so far. Employees from Osaka a service that couldn't be nicer and knows what they are serving. The shop is a bit small and not many people can fit in there, but they still give everyone a chance to eat there. We sat outside and even there you had the waiter's full attention if you wanted something. I can only recommend it. I really wish you all the best❤️

I really like international food and especially Asian food, but I didn't like this one. The multiple good references and the long line made me think the food was good, but I only felt basic ingredients, I was disappointed. I wouldn't go back, I wouldn't recommend it.

Always very friendly service and delicious food. The only thing I think is a shame is the lack of space and the resulting few and narrow seating options. I'm happy because I can eat ramen without having to go to Düsseldorf. However, the quantity is small compared to the price. Spare balls cost about 3 euros, so I can't wait to read them.

The food was okay, not bad, but not outstanding either. Unfortunately, I expected more. There was only half an egg, but maybe that's standard for ramen. The restaurant is also very small, so you sit too close together with other guests, which is a bit cramped. The staff was nice though, as far as I can tell. If you're just hungry for ramen, you should definitely stop by.

Anyone who has ever eaten ramen in Japan will unfortunately not be happy here. Yes, maybe I have higher expectations based on my ramen experiences in Japan. But even if I scale it back, it's not an experience I need to repeat. We waited outside the door for a while until we got a seat. Sat there, ordered 2 Chashu Ramen, Gyoza and Karaage. The service was nice so far. We waited 40 minutes for our food (not including the time we stood outside). I wonder: what do you wait for 40 minutes for a tonkotsu ramen. The broth is already cooked? The karaage tasted great, but the gyoza and ramen unfortunately disappointed me in terms of taste. Unfortunately for me this has nothing to do with a tonkotsu. There was no creaminess and there was no explosion in terms of taste. All in all, unfortunately I wouldn't come back. In the end we paid €65. The price is definitely not worth it to me.

We had a great time here. We stayed in a line for half an hour to be sited, but it worth it. We were in such Japanese restaurant in San Jose and the Ramen was great there. So we would like to repeat our experience here too. The service was fast and the staff is super friendly. The all dishes were excellent and delicious. There are not to much place in the restaurant, but it clean. Also they have some bonus system.

I had one of the most appalling dining experiences at here,, and I feel compelled to share my story to prevent others from undergoing the same mistreatment. Last winter, on an extremely cold day with temperatures well below freezing, my friends and I decided to try out this restaurant. We arrived at the venue, excited to savor some authentic Japanese cuisine. However, our excitement quickly dissipated when we were made to wait outside for nearly a hour. Despite the fact that there were clearly empty tables inside, the staff, predominantly Japanese, seemed in no hurry to seat us. When we politely inquired about the delay, we were brushed off with curt responses. What made this situation even worse was the evident display of racial discrimination. . To our astonishment, they were immediately seated, even though we had been waiting much longer. When we confronted the staff about this unfair treatment, a Japanese manager sneered at us, making derogatory remarks about our ethnicity. Once we were finally seated, the service did not improve. The waitstaff was rude and unresponsive. This visit was a complete disaster. The restaurant not only failed to provide basic customer service but also violated the principles of equality and respect. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining to think twice. No one should be subjected to such cold - hearted treatment, both literally and metaphorically.

I came across the shop through the recommendation of a friend and would come again and again the atmosphere is very cozy and in a Naruto-like style the interior decoration with all the characters I celebrate the only drawback to the cozy environment is the space in my opinion you should come in the evening as the shop is very busy during the day and unfortunately doesn't offer that much space but that is also the only drawback I can express otherwise the dishes are very tasty and embody different specialties from different places the staff is also very friendly all in one I always have a good stay and always enjoy coming back

Be aware of waiting times and be patient. If you're lucky, you'll get a table straight away. A waiting time of 10-30 minutes is not unlikely.

Always busy, don't be put off by the queue at the door, ramen is fast food and you never actually wait longer than 15-20 minutes for a table. Food is very good and authentic. Service is polite and courteous. All in all, always a very good experience. Full recommendation!

Everything in this restaurant is insanely delicious, from edamame and karaage, through ramen (of course), to dango for dessert. The staff is very kind and friendly, and the place itself has a really nice atmosphere too.
