During our meal, we noticed that the onigiri we ordered hadn't arrived yet, but the ramen was so delicious that we could have easily overlooked it... But after we spoke up, it was brought to us very quickly. It's also worth mentioning that the staff is very friendly!

Had cold ramen salad today, was refreshing and tasty as expected. Caveat: don't put too much of the ramen sauce without tasting it first. The sauce is quite sour/vinegary and with small amounts adds freshness but with large amount can overpower the rest of the dish. I also got a small tuna onigiri as a bonus for the ramen salad, which had a soft rice texture and salty creamy tuna filling. Overall taste and texture are great, only lacking on the quantity of meat as usual. Service is fast and nice. The place also fills up quickly by 13:00. It's better to come earlier

A truly wonderful experience eating Japanese food there. The service is top-notch and super friendly, welcoming, and very polite. Three courses with a drink for around €30. The €4.50 tea was constantly refilled with free hot water. Where else can you find something like that, or even anywhere? But be prepared to wait 20-60 minutes if you go on the weekend. The place is (still) very small and incredibly popular. You can often see bloggers there, who are helping to make this place so well-known. A truly high recommendation.

Whether you're in Japan, Bielefeld, or Düsseldorf, the quality is pretty similar!

Two of us were standing at the front door at 12 noon on a Saturday. There's already a small line at opening time, and all the tables were taken in no time. So, "no waiting," but afterward, there are short waits. The food is incredibly delicious, and the "blue" soda is nice and sweet, but not overpowering. Ramen from the menu offers "collectible cards" to try a different dish on your next visit. In the summer, when all the windows are open, the car posers and moped scooters make it incredibly loud. Otherwise, you can enjoy the fresh food in a lovely atmosphere. Chopsticks are the only option. So practice diligently :) Card payments are accepted. There's a stamp card for customer loyalty and repeat visits. P.S. The small table wobbled a bit at the base. I was afraid it would break.

I've eaten ramen here several times, and I can only say positive things! You can choose from a great selection of ramen and order extras if you like. The portions are more than enough to fill you up, and the homemade lemonades are a perfect complement to hot summer days—even without them. :) Aside from the food, I think the ambiance is absolutely perfect. Despite the small size of the restaurant, you feel completely at home and warmly welcomed. The staff also contributes to this pleasant atmosphere. I'm always convinced to come back :)

A newfangled gimmick with a tablet and I waited forever for the food and also forever to pay. I've waited so long, I'm hungry again. The food tasted great, full marks, but unfortunately the chashu had extra pork. The extra was three thin slices of cold cuts.

As you can see in the picture, you can see what I ate. The food was very tasty, the seasoning was just right, everything was top-notch. The service was also very nice and friendly. It took a while for our order to be taken, but it was only a minor thing, so it gets 5 full stars.

This has been my absolute favorite restaurant in Bielefeld for years. You can really tell that SJ Ramen is a passion project and that a lot of effort is put into it. Recently, there's been competition in the city, which I was looking forward to, but I was rather disappointed. The passion that goes into SJ Ramen isn't so easy to match. One criticism of SJ: a few more vegetarian and vegan ramen options would be great, as the selection is currently limited.

An absolute highlight. When you enter the small shop, you truly feel like you're in another world. The service is very attentive. They explain everything perfectly if it's your first time. I've been going here regularly since the shop opened in Bielefeld. So far, I've had the best ramen anywhere here; even in Düsseldorf, I don't like it as much. They always have the summer ramen in summer, the White Tan Tan in winter, and in the seasons in between, I usually get the Chashu. The service is always incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. You can tell that they're not resting on their laurels; the whole team is always trying hard. One small, but not insignificant, innovation: the chopsticks. They now break at the predetermined breaking point and no longer splinter so strangely. I will continue to enjoy coming here and enjoying my food in the future.

Great lemonades and the tea are delicious, too. The small shop may be a bit cramped, but otherwise it has an authentic atmosphere. No matter when and how often you go, the quality always remains the same

We've tried a few ramen dishes in the past, but what we were served here was a true revelation. The broth, the heart of every ramen dish, was incredibly aromatic and had its own, perfectly balanced flavor in each dish. The garnishes were also excellently prepared—a true highlight in both taste and appearance. The appetizers maintained this high standard and rounded off the culinary experience wonderfully. We were particularly surprised by the Asian tea with toasted rice—an exciting, new experience that perfectly complemented the overall experience. A big thank you also goes to our waitress A., who guided us through the evening with great friendliness and expertise. Her recommendations were spot on. In conclusion: If the opportunity arises, we will definitely be back—and we'll definitely bring friends with us!

The Yuzu Chicken Udon Ramen was a special treat. The udon noodles were wonderfully soft and perfectly absorbed the delicate, slightly lemony yuzu broth. The tender chicken with leeks and herbs made a delicious combination. I also had an onigiri with a generous tuna mayo filling and three crispy chicken gyoza. These were golden brown on the outside with a juicy filling. An ideal complement to the dish. The taste was evident, with every bite. The Japanese lemonades "Okinawa Blue Sky" and "Tokyo Pink Light" were refreshing and harmonized beautifully with the intense flavors of the food. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was pleasantly calm and modern, perfectly complementing the experience. The value for money is absolutely justified given the high-quality ingredients and portion size. S'j Ramen completely won me over with its authentic Japanese food and flair. On the recommendation of my best friend, we went to SJラーメン this evening. It was my first time there and certainly won't be the last. The service is attentive and warm, the atmosphere transports me to a ramen shop in Japan, and the food is reasonably priced and incredibly delicious! For the first time, I enjoyed the tonkotsu broth, which is simmered for 30 hours – an incredibly intense flavor experience. As a small side dish, we had a tuna onigiri, simple yet so delicious. The lemonade provided a welcome cooling effect, fitting for the weather. From start to finish, it was simply a fantastic experience. Thank you so much. ごちそうさまでした！とても美味しかったです。また来たいね。頑張ってください！

The atmosphere is cozy and modern with a touch of Japanese flair; lanterns, a wooden look, and an open view into the kitchen create an authentic atmosphere. What's especially great: dogs are allowed, which makes the whole experience even more relaxing. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the different varieties upon request. Prices range between €10 and €20, which is absolutely fair for the quality. The bottom line: Whether for lunch, dinner, or a quick culinary trip to Japan, S'j Ramen delivers across the board.
