Today we went to this Indian restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious. The service was fantastic... when we finished dinner they came to our table with a small surprise birthday cake, it was a very nice touch from the restaurant 🥰

I was there first time for lunch. I didn't believe the that amazing food thd value for money. Just perfect. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

I visit this Indian restaurant regularly and am always delighted! The staff is very friendly and attentive, which makes the visit a pleasant one. The dishes are well-prepared and taste simply fantastic. My personal recommendation is the butter chicken with garlic naan 😉. A great place to enjoy Indian cuisine – I'll definitely be back!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening around 6:30 pm. The place was already quite busy, with all the tables occupied. The owner greeted us warmly and said that a table would become available in about 10 minutes, and indeed, we were seated shortly thereafter. Therefore, I recommend making a reservation in advance, especially on weekends. The food was outstandingly authentic Indian, freshly prepared, and bursting with flavor. We ordered Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh, Palak Paneer, and served with Butter Naan and Garlic Naan. Everything was perfectly seasoned, the meat tender, and the sauces wonderfully creamy and aromatic. You can taste the love and passion that goes into the cooking. For dessert, we treated ourselves to Mango Cream and Rasmalai. Both desserts were the perfect ending to the meal: fruity, light, and pleasantly sweet. The service was also excellent. The owner and the staff were very friendly, attentive, and always concerned about the guests' well-being. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of here. There is a diverse selection of vegetarian and meat dishes, so there really is something for everyone. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, ideal for a lovely evening for two, with friends, or with family. In short: A fantastic Indian restaurant with authentic food, warm service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended—we will definitely be back!

We went in on a Saturday afternoon at around 17:00. We didn't see the restaurant's sign as we walked by due to the construction work outside. Luckily, a staff member happened to be outside and told us that it was open.(The sign lit up in the evening when we walked out, it’s easier to see then.😏🤓) The restaurant was surprisingly busy. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. We ordered samosas for starters, which came with three different types of sauces that were all delicious.😋 The food that we ordered was authentic and amazingly delicious, bursting with flavours from layers of herbs and spices—possibly the best Indian food that I have ever had so far in Germany! No wonder the restaurant was busy non-stop!😍 Highly recommend it for Indian cuisine lovers!👍

Terrible service. We waited for at least 15 minutes. No one even noticed we were there. We just left. Very poor service. One server was serving the next person and didn't even realize we were there, and we didn't even get a menu. I'm sorry. Never again at this restaurant. I just received an email from Google. The restaurant tried to delete my review for defamation.

Incredibly bad service! We waited over 15 minutes, and no one even noticed we were there. No greeting, no menu, absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, the next table was served politely – we were completely ignored. After 15 minutes, we simply left. I have rarely experienced such disrespectful and unprofessional service. Never again! I had very absurd experience. To be honest the pricing of the menu is quite expensive as compared to other restaurants. During the billing, as I was doing online payment the Waiter added Trinkgelder as 3 euros to the total payment without asking me. When I checked the billing after the payment, and I asked what is trinkgelder and why have you added. Waiter got anxious as if he was unable to understand me. I found it quite ridiculous. It’s not about 3 euros. But you need to ask about the Tipps if you need. You can’t just add it forcefully.

I ordered through Lieferando, the order was confirmed, and according to the Lieferando app, it had been in preparation for quite some time. An hour later, my order was canceled, and they didn't even refund the full amount I had already paid – very, very annoying!

I love Indian food and therefore know a lot of Indian restaurants. I have to say the curries are very, very delicious, and the naans (Indian flatbreads) are the best I've ever eaten. The entire evening was perfect, from the food to the service. My wife, who was celebrating her birthday, was even offered a delicious "small" birthday cake for two to top it all off. I can 100% recommend Siddhartha; you won't regret your visit. Authentic Indian... Perfect.

Unfortunately, it's not as good as it used to be. The food was okay, but the naan tasted more like a sweet yeast cake and not garlicky. That didn't bother us too much, but the wait was long and the staff were clearly overwhelmed. The kitchen and the wait staff argue loudly; they try to pressure you into paying in cash, and the prices are quite steep. It's a shame, it used to be very nice here.

We had a wonderful meal at Siddhartha in Konstanz! The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Definitely a place we would recommend for a relaxed evening out.

A good indian restaurant to try if one is willing to wait a bit for the food. There were 6 of us and they were gracious enough to give us a table without a reservation. We ordered samosa as a starter which was freshly made and served with 3 different chutneys, definitely a must try. For main course we ordered dal makhani, matar paneer, vegetable korma, tandoori roti, garlic naans and rice. Everything was delicious.

First of all, the service was excellent and the food was also very tasty. However, we were a bit disappointed because it was actually the first Indian restaurant where we didn't get anything to snack on beforehand. The prices were extremely high, and the rice costs extra. We eat Indian food regularly, but we've never experienced anything like this. The rice is usually free, and you get another portion for free. In summary, very tasty, but unfortunately too expensive.

We dropped in as walk-ins and our spontaneous desire for Indian food led us in. It was quite busy and we were asked to come back in 30 minutes. Which we did. As we sat down, the waiters had a somewhat hectic atmosphere, but there was also a sign outside that said "Temporary Help Wanted". However, we could already tell that the law of the jungle applies in this restaurant. We met the same customers there as on our first visit, who were given the menu first. So we immediately stopped the first waiter who was holding menus and secured them for us. The selection was well-diversified and typically Indian. We ordered using the same method we had received the menus. The process was via pad and pen, which would become a problem later. The food arrived relatively quickly, although one dish didn't make its way to us. But all this was before the drinks, which the waiter wrote on the back of his note, which was hanging on the wall in the kitchen. So we ordered the drinks again, and they arrived. The rice was unseasoned, so we asked for salt. The first time, it was passed on in English to the next waiter, who didn't speak German very well. He also brought us a plate with three sauces in bowls. So we ordered a second time. The waiter quickly went to the bar area and looked for the salt. After a long search, he gave up and moved on to other tasks. The third time, the waiter—the third, mind you—already had the salt in his hand, but put it back. He didn't give up so easily, however, and disappeared into the kitchen, emerging a short time later with a small bowl. We, once again believing he'd brought us another sauce, were pleased that it was salt after all. This process took half an hour. We also noticed how less assertive guests who had been sitting there considerably longer than us were leaving the restaurant. From then on, everything went smoothly, and we got to the checkout process. It went more smoothly than expected, and even the soup we ordered that wasn't delivered wasn't charged. I intentionally gave it 5 stars because the experience was bad in the classic sense, but it was very entertaining. My father and I laughed ourselves silly at the many other things that happened that weren't mentioned here. All I can say is that this restaurant desperately needs more organization, or even some sort of organization at all. Otherwise, it's highly recommended if you're not that hungry but have plenty of time and don't have the money for a comedy show.

We were unfortunately very disappointed. The service was super friendly, but we waited over an hour for our food! We had to ask, and then we were served the wrong thing. Many others who came after us were served before us... However, the food was truly delicious. There's nothing to complain about. We were hoping for a discount as compensation, and the manager was rude to us. We were then given dessert for free. It's a real shame, because the food was good, but too many things went wrong.

The food tastes quite good and the staff are very friendly...but: - Restrooms, outdoor seating...everything is pretty moldy - The cloth used to clean the table in front of us smelled awful - You can't pay by card, only cash or PayPal - The prices are in line with a restaurant with truly fine dining; I don't understand why that's the case here. A 0.3 liter of Coke, for example, costs €4.70. Naan bread is also scarce and expensive.

We had a very pleasant visit to this Indian restaurant yesterday and can highly recommend it! The staff were incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their faces, which made the experience particularly pleasant. The food was delicious – the spices were perfectly balanced and very flavorful. We had a lamb dish and a chicken dish. The meat in both dishes was first-class, tender and juicy, and the sauces were indescribably delicious. Five stars from us.

A nice Indian cuisine in the heart of konstanz city. We had dinner and Siddhartha didn't disappoint us. We tried butter chicken which was very good, chicken pakora which was average, dal tadka which was good, garlic naan which was ok, masala tea was not good, it was not fresh. Service from the staff was fantastic. Overall an average Indian restaurant. Cost was a bit towards higher side. I would recommend only if you are craving for indian food.

There were five of us and we had reserved a table. We received a very friendly welcome and service, and the food was excellent. The wait was a bit long, but that was to be expected with a packed restaurant. The only drawback: the rice has to be ordered separately and isn't included in the meal, so expect to pay a bit more.

Siddhartha in Konstanz is our first-choice restaurant when it comes to good, authentic Indian food. Highly recommended! Add to that a hospitable and friendly atmosphere with a family feel. The food is a bit overpriced. While paying, the waiter is on his phone. The fans and air conditioners in the restaurant ruin the otherwise lovely ambiance of the old building and Indian decor.

First of all: the main course was delicious. But having to pay almost €5 for rice on top of a €20 main course is truly outrageous. I've never experienced anything like that before. Unfortunately, the service outside wasn't good either. It took forever, and the three waiters weren't coordinated at all, bringing out cutlery one at a time and sometimes bringing duplicates of other items. It was rather unpleasant outside because some of the tables were still stacked together as if the restaurant was closed. They then seemed to be dismantled one by one, one by one.

Unfortunately, not recommended. We had reserved a table for four at 7:30 p.m. and arrived promptly at 7:20 p.m. We were told we would have to wait about five minutes until our table was free. Unfortunately, this table was soon taken by other guests who were intrusively intrusive. Only after another 15 minutes of waiting were we assigned another table. Our order was taken quickly, but we had to wait a full 90 minutes for our food – and then parts of our order were missing. Anyone willing to put up with this stress and the poor organization is welcome to pay this restaurant a visit. For us, it was definitely the last time.

Best experience!!! The food was delicious, it felt like home!! It was rightly flavoured. The rice was cooked well and naan was like how it was supposed to be. As an Indian, I can only recommend this place. You will surely not regret eating here. The staff was very hospitable! Very respectful and friendly!! If you cannot decide what to eat, I tried Panner makhani with naan and rice! You can always consider this!!

For me, Siddhartha is by far the best Indian restaurant in Konstanz—authentic Indian cuisine in a truly authentic Indian setting. Here, you can take a short trip to India.

The food was very good, but the portions were very large. For some dishes, you have to order extra rice (€4.90). And it's already quite expensive. The service was very nice. They try to get 10, 15, or 20% tips if you pay by card. Be careful!

Food was decent, quantity was good, but huge huge amounts of oil used. Ambience was good. Very touristic prices, very expensive. It’s an out and out rip off not to provide rice with curries, I have experienced this first time in Europe in 5 years. Food comes very late and some waiters were friendly some didn’t care.

The butter chicken was rich and creamy—so flavorful! We also tried another chicken curry, and both were amazing. The butter naan was soft, and the cheese naan was delicious too. Ended the meal with a lovely cup of tea. Service was super friendly!

Very tasty Indian food with some outdoor seating. The lime rice and naan went very well with the main courses. The portions are definitely sufficient but not too large, so you can enjoy the whole meal.

We regularly visit Siddartha (formerly Sitara) and are always impressed! The food is authentic Indian, very high quality, and also prepared healthily. I especially recommend the Saag Wala; it's simply delicious! The owner, Ajit, always welcomes us warmly and creates a family atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. For us, this is the best Indian restaurant in Konstanz—consistently high quality for years. A true must-visit in the city!

Satisfactory food in comparison with the prices. Sad to see my 5,3€ beer was from bottle & NOT vom fass (they did not mention about fass anyway in menu but one expects it at this price) and had to order rice as extra. Hard for me to visit again and to recommend as well. 1 star plus for free Indian tee.

Unfortunately, this wasn't a visit I would repeat. The staff barely spoke German, which made ordering unnecessarily complicated – and we weren't greeted or welcomed in a friendly manner. In my opinion, the food is overpriced for what you get: The starter consisted of five small pieces of chicken and cost ten euros – and it came with a dirty plate. The butter chicken was also rather disappointing – I've had better at chain restaurants. The restaurant was very busy, and it was clear that the staff was understaffed. The ambiance was nice, but that alone wasn't enough. For me, it was the first and last time.

Great food but smallish portions.

The chicken tikka masala tasted mainly of tomato paste and paprika powder; the typical spice and depth were barely noticeable. The garlic naan we ordered was plain naan that had obviously only been briefly dipped in garlic oil. The rice was also a departure: instead of the basmati rice with peas and onions we ordered, we were served saffron rice with peas but no onions. The sweet rose lassi simply tasted like lassi, but unfortunately, there was no trace of rose water. Overall, the quality of the food was not convincing, and the prices were significantly too high. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend it. The restaurant manager was friendly, though.

I’m on vacation from Canada and we came across this beautiful restaurant, we came for lunch and had to return again for dinner because it was amazing! I’m sure we will visit again before our vacation ends. The food is so delicious and perfectly spiced! The customer service is also incredible! All the staff really go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied and cared for.

How wonderful that Siddartha is open again. With renewed vigor, we were served a wonderfully balanced menu, including my favorite starter, Hara Bhara Kebab, specially prepared. The saffron rice was a poem. We look forward to many more visits.

In my opinion the best Indian restaurant in Konstanz. Siddhartha offers flavourful dishes and has great vegetarian and vegan options.The samosas are delicious! You are always asked if you’d prefer the food spicy or not. If you plan to visit Konstanz or haven’t been there yet, it’s a must visit.

He sido un asiduo aquí durante unos años y estoy encantado de verlo reabrir. Siempre es mi primera opción cuando la familia o amigos visitan la ciudad. La comida tiene un hogar cálido, como calidad que es difícil de encontrar en otros lugares. Si bien los precios son ligeramente más altos en comparación con otros restaurantes indios, la diferencia —de solo 2 a 3 euros— es insignificante teniendo en cuenta la calidad y el sabor de los platos. Cada comida vale la pena. Muy recomendable!
