Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is very good. We'll be happy to return if we're ever in Konstanz again.

We returned to Karma after a long time. The food was delicious. Service was mediocre. After ordering our drinks, it felt like 30 minutes later, and we had to constantly ask the wait staff to let us order and get attention. At one point, we considered changing restaurants.

Truly delicious. A lovely atmosphere, too. Our waiter, however, seemed a bit out of sorts.

We visited Karma Restaurant during our family trip to Konstanz. As soon as we entered, we were immediately immersed in Indian culture. Inside, you can sense a myriad of aromas and flavors; the decor is consistent with the restaurant's theme and is absolutely well-maintained, tidy, and clean. We were professionally greeted by a waiter who immediately seated us at a table with an excellent view of the restaurant. We were then given menus, which we immediately began perusing. Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while to order drinks and main courses—long enough to make us want to call the waiter back or even change restaurants, as I find 25 minutes a bit long, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. Luckily, we decided to stay put, and once we'd ordered three different dishes, we waited just the right amount of time for them to arrive. I can't help but be satisfied with the choice of three dishes, which were impeccably executed and delicious, as only Indian cuisine can be. If you're not a fan of spicy food, I recommend paying attention to the spiciness level listed on the menu, as this type of cuisine requires every dish to be at least moderately spicy. In conclusion, I recommend Karma Restaurant to everyone, especially those who want to explore Indian cuisine, but I strongly advise the restaurant to aim to take orders within 10 minutes at most, as a long wait can lower expectations.

I ate at the Karma Kostenz Restaurant (Indian cuisine) today, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The food didn't seem authentic or flavorful to me; it just didn't click. As someone who greatly appreciates Indian cuisine, I expected more.

Pad Thai was good but unusually oily and a manageable portion.

Super slow service, below average food and relatively expensive for Germany. Mango lassi tastes like a yogurt from a supermarket. On top of that, they messed up our order (and many others). Stay away from this place. P.S. The owner attempted to remove this review (abusing some silly German law). I was able to reinstall mine, but there could be more negative reviews that got removed, so don't trust the averages here!

The food here was undeniably delicious—we really enjoyed the flavors and presentation. However, the portion sizes were quite small, especially considering the high prices. I ordered the lamb dish, but unfortunately, it wasn't to my taste. While the portion was generous, I wasn't impressed by the quality of the food. The vegetables didn't seem fresh, and the pieces of meat were very large, tough, and sometimes undercooked. The smell of the meat was also unpleasant. I also found it annoying that flies were buzzing around the restaurant during my visit—this unfortunately doesn't fit with a pleasant dining atmosphere. Overall, it wasn't a positive experience for me, and I personally wouldn't recommend the restaurant☹️.

They are not really dog friendly. The personal are not nice with the customer. The meal looks good on their website but when you eat the meal tastes really bad.

I ordered a vegetarian green curry, which the menu listed as having a spice level of 2 out of 3 🌶️. I asked if they could prepare it very mild/not spicy. They confirmed this. However, the food was so spicy that I couldn't eat it, so I ended up living on rice and naan bread that evening. Otherwise, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the interior was pleasantly air-conditioned despite the tropical temperatures, with a modern yet cozy decor.

Wow! Simply wow! I felt like I was on vacation here. Really delicious food, wonderfully seasoned, and simply unbelievably tasty! It was my first time here, but certainly not the last! A few comments that don't detract from the special and delicious quality: the spiciness is indicated by chili peppers: 1 chili is moderately hot, 3 chilies are very hot (the hottest). One dish had 1 chili pepper. It wasn't spicy at all; it was our appetizer. Quite the opposite; it was rather sweet. Absolutely not a problem, but the indication was wrong and should probably have been left out. The service was very nice, but at times it was just a bit lame. Overall, a great experience and like being on vacation with great food, a lovely atmosphere, and plenty of choice.

Après un accueil un peu froid, nous nous sommes installés en terrasse. Le service à été rapide et les deux plats testés étaient très bons. Je recommande le chicken mango (pas épicé) et le laksa singapore (épicé). Un grand choix de cocktails avec ou sans alcool est disponible. Curieusement, ils indiquent avoir la climatisation à l'intérieur, alors qu'il y fait plus chaud que dehors.

Irresponsible and uncomprehending – not recommended I visited this restaurant and explicitly stated that I have a nut allergy. Nevertheless, they served nuts in my food – an absolutely unacceptable mistake, which in my case has serious health consequences. After the incident, I gave the restaurant 14 days to respond with an appropriate response. Despite this deadline, no apology or explanation was received – neither by phone nor in writing. This approach to customer safety and feedback is simply irresponsible for a restaurant business. Anyone who relies on safe food preparation – whether due to allergies or other reasons – should avoid this restaurant.

The staff was very polite and friendly. The food looked nice, but bore no resemblance to Indian food. The chicken and meat were overcooked, dry, and tasteless. Unfortunately, despite ordering a variety of dishes, I didn't find the strong flavors and spices typical of Indian cuisine. Furthermore, the flowerpots next to the tables, while decorative, constantly swarmed ants onto the table.

Delicious food with varying degrees of spiciness. All three of the dishes we ordered were 1 out of 3 🌶️. The chicken satay wasn't spicy at all, and the coconut lagoon was significantly hotter than the kadai chicken. Perhaps they should check the information provided, hence a 1-star rating. We liked the kadai chicken the best of all.

Karma's ambience was really live and nice , details in decorations was beautiful like cute iron tea pot , menu card looks straight from indian weddings and so on And amazing food too 😋

So far, I've been least disappointed by Indian restaurants, and this one proved to be true again. Great spices, perfectly cooked food, and friendly service. The restaurant is located near the train station, just a few minutes away. Highly recommended!

Das hatte nichts mit indischem Essen zu tun. Das Hähnchen und die Garnelen waren tot gebraten. Das Tikka marsala war viel zu süß, das Gemüse zu den Garnelen geschmacklos, wie das Naan. Viel zu teuer. Einmal und nie wieder.

I recently visited Karma Restaurant and was saddened to see that the logo used on the napkins features an image of Buddha. As a Buddhist, I found this very disrespectful. Napkins are used and then thrown into the trash, and using a sacred symbol like Buddha in this way feels deeply inappropriate. I kindly ask the management to reconsider this design. Just as Christians would likely be uncomfortable seeing the image of Jesus on a disposable item, or Muslims seeing the name of Allah used in this way, Buddhists also find it painful to see the image of Buddha treated without proper respect. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously. Respect for all religions and cultures is an important part of true hospitality. Thank you for your understanding.

The interior is nice but the food isn’t authentic at all. The service was bad. We waited so long until they took our order. When we told the waiter we wanted to pay it took 10 minutes for him to come back and clear the table then again 5 minutes until he came with the card reader

Great restaurant! We had a very good and plentiful discovery menu. As we hadn't booked, we were on the terrace but as it was cold, we were kindly offered a table inside. A good address and we will return with pleasure.

Unfortunately my visit to Karma Konstanz was disappointing. The service was unfriendly and not very attentive - you had the feeling that you were more of a nuisance than a welcome person. The food wasn't convincing either: carelessly prepared and disappointing in taste, definitely not what you would expect given the prices. The atmosphere seemed cold and impersonal, and overall there was just a lack of hospitality and quality. I really hoped for more and unfortunately I can't recommend this store.

I rarely give bad reviews. This time I'll make an exception. We had lunch at Karma on Easter Saturday. I've never waited so long to be served and when we finally ordered, we waited forever until the food came. Lunch took 2.5 hours for us. We complained to the staff several times and they responded poorly. I will definitely not visit Karma again. The food wasn't particularly good either. My Bangkok duck was dry and we've had better butter chicken.

We were there yesterday (Easter weekend). It was quite full, but we were given a seat outside. You had the feeling that the waitresses were attentive and friendly and we were looking forward to delicious food. Unfortunately, it took a while before we could order drinks and the waiting times got longer from course to course. In total we were in the restaurant for over 2 1/2 hours and between the starter and the main course alone 1 1/2 hours passed. We weren't able to reorder drinks during that time. Our neighbors felt the same way. By now it was quite cold outside and luckily we were able to move inside. We explicitly told the waitresses again that we hadn't been served for ages, but it still took another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. My meal was good but not outstanding, my girlfriend wasn't 100% convinced. I would have thought that Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Kadai could have been prepared well, but we had been in the restaurant for 2 1/2 (!) hours by now. They had flatbread and said we should order as soon as the food was there, but we didn't dare to do that anymore. We noticed that our new table neighbors only received their flatbread after the meal, despite repeated requests. After all the waiting, the plate was taken away from me in 30 seconds after eating while my friend was still eating.

Empezamos con un aperitivo de papaya mozzarella y la papaya no era comestible. Era tan duro que apenas podías cortarlo y el sabor era amargo. Además, cuando pedimos llevar a casa el pollo con mantequilla restante, pedimos que agregaran un poco de arroz al pollo. El camarero hizo parecer que la petición era imposible y no quería hacerlo. Al final nos dio una cucharada de arroz. Gastamos 110 euros y la comida no valía el dinero. Nunca volverá después de esa experiencia.

We were surprised here with a beautiful ambience, courteous staff and authentic, delicious cuisine! We wouldn't have thought of it and afterwards we were very grateful for the tip from a friend!

We were lucky and got a table as it was really full. Unfortunately, it was only after the drinks arrived that we were told that we only had 1 hour. I thought that was a shame and made the mega ambience and the really excellent food a little “worse”. The waiters were very polite but clearly stressed, the plates were placed on the table rather brutally. I would have liked to order dessert, but there was no time for that. But I would still come back, reserve in advance and hope that we have more than 1 hour!

We visited Karma for the first time, but certainly not the last. We had reserved our table in advance and were greeted very friendly and then served attentively and courteously. The dishes were beautifully presented and each had its own taste - just as it should be. The portions were plentiful! We enjoyed the beautiful ambience and the loving decoration!

I actually enjoyed eating here and can recommend it to others! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed when we recently "bring home some karma" and wanted to surprise our parents. The to-go packaging is almost all made of plastic. For a restaurant in Konstanz—a city with a reusable food campaign—I would have expected a better alternative! I hope this changes soon, otherwise I'll have to go without the food. #consistentclimateprotection

We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation and were immediately warmly welcomed. The staff is super friendly and accommodating – you immediately feel at home here. The menu definitely leaves nothing to be desired. I particularly liked the large selection of vegetarian dishes. Our meals were delicious and served in an impressively short time. This is where you really notice the quality and skill of the chef. For us, a clear 10/10! I can highly recommend Karma and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Liebe Familie Kumar, so geht es nicht. Offenbar wird die Küche nicht von einem ausgebildeten Koch geleitet. Die Vorspeise undefinierbar, die Hauptspeise (gegrilltes Lamm) ging ebenso zurück, wie der Salat. Der Service ist ungeschult und belanglos, an der Grenze zur Unfreundlichkeit. Einen Restaurantleiter sucht man vergebens. Die Preise sind dafür durchaus ambitioniert. Bauchweh bei beiden Gästen lassen uns sicher nicht zurückkehren.

The food was okay, but not warm enough. The friendliness of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. When we entered and greeted them in a friendly manner, there was no reply. Even when the waiter came to the table, there was hardly any greeting. I'm actually used to something different from the "big canton" or from Austria. The ginger-lemon iced tea was probably declared as homemade (?) but tasted artificial. Room for improvement with at least nice interior design.

Got a table on Saturday evening without a reservation. We two women thought it was great. The table near the entrance turned out to be a bust. The outside door is always open and we sit in the cold draft. Despite free tables, the waitress has no voice to please give us another table or to keep the outside door closed. The papaya salad for the starter was moderately prepared. The brown (ready-made) sauce with peanut flavor just didn't go well with the fresh papaya. My companion's chilli prawns with naan bread are better, although a bit dry. We're hoping for the main course. 1x palak paneer and 1x butter chicken. I love palak paneer. Easy to cook yourself with fresh ingredients. The gray-green porridge served had little in common with fresh spinach and a few cubes of lukewarm cream cheese in it doesn't make palak paneer. The taste of the butter chicken sauce also had little in common with the classic Indian cuisine. Dry chicken in red sauce. At the end the waitress asks if we enjoyed it? No not really. The waiter takes the plates without a word and disappears. The bill for the two of us without alcoholic drinks: € 84.— We decided not to tip because of the unhospitable service.

The delivery via Tasty Delivery was perfect - even faster than advertised. The starter, Mini Chicken Kathi Rolls, was freshly prepared and really tasty. Unfortunately, the main courses were disappointing across the board: the first one had chicken that was extremely dry, and after the first bite - which had a noticeable smell and taste - I didn't want to eat any more. In the second dish, the duck was also dried out and not particularly appetizing. Too bad! Tasty Delivery again at any time, but I probably won't order from Karma again.

Great ambience, good service but the price-performance ratio isn't quite right, for about 5 chunks of lamb with some rice: Euro 20.90, is too expensive. Should be a main course, not an appetizer. And the taste doesn't blow me away either. It's a shame I would have liked to come back but with such small portions and the prices that's not possible.

Very nice restaurant, food was so excellent we came 2 days in a row, the service was great from our waiter Abu Jalil. And overall a great experience.

We were there spontaneously this lunchtime and were able to get a spot outside. The service was very friendly, things that were forgotten were brought straight away. Mango chicken (not spicy) and naan bread were delicious. I can also recommend the mint elderberry spritzer. We were happy, especially since it was pleasant in the shade despite the heat.

Das Essen war nichts besonders, für den Mittagsmenü viel zu teuer. Vorschpeise aus der normale Karte war, aberscheint in der Microwelle aufgewärmt. Das Bier war gerade so kalt. Die Bedienung meine meinung nach nicht ausreichend aufmerksam, aber das Essen war schnell da, dass eigentlich für das Mittagsessen normal ist , da es warscheinlich aus einem grossenTopf kommt, sonst die Portionen waren auch nicht gross.

With a friendly welcome and no reservation, the waiter assigned us a free seat. The food was served within a very short time, so quickly it couldn't have been freshly prepared. Visually everything looked good, my first impression was confirmed when I ate it, the meat and shrimp were dry, but the taste was okay. The price was ok, the service was friendly, all in all good.

Well, the ambience itself was ok. The drinks be happy and kuruma honey were good. Unfortunately the food was very Europeanized. You could tell that someone in the kitchen wasn't cooking with love. Not so great in terms of taste…We expected more for the prices. Unfortunately the toilets are between the staff cloakroom...Unfortunately there is no way to change a baby...The toilet seats should be replaced...When you close the lid everything is yellowed and wobbly...not clean...For the prices you pay, you could Renew this...Faszit: You don't have to go there again...It's a shame

I ordered, among other things, “Chicken Tikka Masalla”. Unfortunately the chicken was as tough as a shoe sole! I could barely cut it with the knife! Therefore only two stars. Lemonade is great for that. Friendly service! I'll try there again. If it were like that again, I'd stay away. Everyone deserves a second chance!🍒

Wonderful, there was still a place for us two women. But women have to wait? After 90 minutes the food came, we were “forgotten”. We thought it was because it was full. When asked, the food came very spontaneously. Taste excellent, we love the spice of Indian dishes. Result: food excellent, service as a woman miserable. Two points because we got a table straight away.

The description for the starter for 2 says “let yourself be surprised”. Well, I was surprised. I was surprised at how dissappointing the whole experience was. From the service to the food, not a single positive thing to say. Starter for 2: 13.90. Per person. What was served to us after waiting for too long was an absolute joke. The food was dry/old (especially the chicken) and not even worth half of what we paid for. If you want proper indian food, go somewhere else. You will just be ripped off here.

Incredibly bad service... I called there 3 hours before to reserve a table for several people outside. When we get there they want to sit us inside. I explain to the man who welcomed us that I have made a reservation for outside. After consulting with his colleague, the first time he told me "No, inside" and after I became clearer, he came back the second time and explained to me "we changed it because of the weather" ... (at a good 26 degrees and sunshine) Since I couldn't quickly find another restaurant for 6 people on a Saturday evening, we decided to eat there. briefly summarized: It was stuffy in the store and way too warm The food took over 80 minutes and tasted OK Service was virtually non-existent I think when there's less going on or the outdoor area isn't open, it's much better there. For me it was the last visit to Karma, as I expect at least a little understanding of service and some decency for such prices

The food is excellent and the interior is nicely decorated and furnished in Indian style. The price-performance ratio is reasonable
