Visitamos Hamburgo casi todos los años y hemos estado visitando Singh Indian Restaurant desde 2016 al menos. La comida solía ser genial, pero ya no es el caso. El cordero Biryani no tenía ningún sabor, Roghan Josh era más de salsa de tomate en lugar del tradicional Roghan Josh. El ambiente es genial como antes, pero la calidad de la comida es promedio en el mejor de los casos.

Service sympathique, les plats commandés sont arrivés rapidement. Plats copieux et nourriture excellente, assaisonnés comme en Inde. (Attention pour ceux qui n’aiment pas trop épicé) Nous conseillons vivement cet établissement.

The food was very great and also plentiful. The atmosphere is clean, but unfortunately it also has a cafeteria atmosphere...but that's only secondary.

Had to wait a long time for our food, beer was warm and the starter came with the main course. It's a shame, but the food was ok

Food was awesome and the waiters/waitresses were nice. Especially the Naan Bread was super delicious :) Other than that, the plates were a bit dirty and the atmosphere was decently loud.

Service is friendly, some preferably in English. Unfortunately the rice was almost cold, the curry was kept warm by a little stove. No free extras (e.g. bread in advance). Food otherwise tasty.

I had an incredible dining experience at singh indian resturant . The food was absolutely delicious and authentic, full of the rich flavors you'd expect from traditional Indian cuisine. I especially loved the murgh tandoori, which was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Whether you're a fan of Indian food or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit! I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended

We ate here following a recommendation from the hotel. We had three dishes, giant prawns, lamb and chicken. It was very tasty and the special thing... If you order spicy (with 3 chilis), it is really spicy😁. All three meals were excellent. Price performance ratio good. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is on the 1st floor, easy to find. This restaurant is definitely RECOMMENDED

Had dinner there yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't like the food, so I left it and still had to pay the full price, which was very rude.

After long drive to Hamburg we(group of 6) decided to dine at Singh Restaurant, which was conveniently closest option. We were welcomed warm by staff with the very pleasant tone of the ambience of yellow and golden atmosphere. We sampled variety of main and side dishes, Lamb Tikka and chicken Tikka they were good almost a sizzler vibe.We had lamb curry and Rogan josh for gravy. Rogan josh was ok but the lamb curry was inclined much more towards sweeter side which we didn’t enjoy much. Every dish came with rice which was awesome.(around 18-19 euros per dish) Salute to naan and paratha good size and taste, dal was also good. Masala tea was basic but lassi was good. Every thing was good and some were ok but Keema Samosas not recommended as it tasted weird. Place is definitely recommended. Just little adjustments needed on food. Service: ✅✅superb Food: ✅ good can be better. Ambience: ✅✅ superb.

God Indisk restaurant. Skip forret, du skal nok blive mæt af en velsmagende hovedret. Vi spiste 4 voksne, 2 forretter (sharing) 4 øl, vand m.m og 4 hovedretter 125 €.

I absolutely loved my visit to this Indian restaurant! The naan breads were to die for – perfectly soft and so flavorful. The curry variations are a true taste experience, each one surprised and delighted me anew. A visit here is definitely more than worthwhile.

The best Indian in all of Hamburg. We recommend!

It is my first Indian restaurant that I visited in Hamburg which left me quite disappointed. It was a special occasion and looking at reviews, I decided to visit this restaurant. The service we experienced was really bad. The server mistakenly placed a wrong item on our table until we realised and requested to replace it. We had hot food on the table but no plates and cutlery for which we have to wait 4min until they are being arranged. From price point of view, I am a person who is ready to pay that extra bugs for a quality food in return. The food price vs the quality of the food offered is really poor. I really feel not worthy to pay that much for this food as I have good experience with other restaurants in Hamburg and with restaurants in Munich. So for me, I don’t think I will be visiting it again.

Delicious food and friendly service! The card is available online via QR code. The selection is large, with the Indian name and a short German description included. The portions are generous and are kept warm at the table with a tea light. The prices are fair.

Friendly and pleasant service. Clean and nice premises. The food tasted very good. A little less spicy than most Indian restaurants we have been to in the past so next time we ask for strong instead of medium. Will definitely return on my next trip to Hamburg.

The hospitality was top-notch. The quality of indian food here is some of the best I've had in Germany undeniably. If you ever come around here, do try the mango Lassi (It's to die for). All in all a really good experience

This is a MUST VISIT RESTAURANT whenever I travel to Hamburg! The Indian restaurant is within walking distance to the ‘centrum’ (Hamburg City Centre), so there isn’t any issue trying to reach it, thanks to the efficient public transport system there. My go to order is the very rich in flavour Butter chicken with the garlic butter naan, in addition to this, I have tasted the Daal Makhni which goes well with some Basmati Rice. The good thing about the curries that you can order, is the ability to pick the spice levels which is important with little children who are fussy eaters. I always order ‘medium spice’. The smallest of dishes, like the mango chutney is full of flavour just like any dish I’ve come across. There are an array of dishes available to order and savour during your time at the restaurant. The service is really good, a friendly welcome at the door and staff ensuring that you are always attended to. The restaurant is really clean and hygiene levels are superb. There is a peaceful ambience enhanced by the modern layout of the place, totally contrasting the stereotypical idea of what an Indian restaurant is normally like. In fact, my experience exceeds any expectations that one would have of any restaurant. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very extensive menu with fine Indian dishes. Choosing from these requires some experience with Indian cuisine. Personally, I thought the chicken was a little overcooked.

Worst experience ever in Europe in last 5 years. The chicken pieces in the curry were way too hard and the kebabs were not grilled well. Waiter after checking from chef said us that this Punjabi dishes are like this only. No sense of empathy towards a change and moreover the left over rice - the only edible item which we thought we could get back was packed poorly that it spilled in the restaurant only. A complete rip off when you see the Bill because you haven't eaten 10% of the food with content and sense of empathy from the server. Will never recommend this at all!

The food was mediocre and the waiter was rude with me, I don’t know why.

Unfortunately I didn't like it at all, I had a Birjani and there was a kind of yogurt that tasted very sour.

It was very tasty and the service was very nice.

The rice was super fluffy and aromatic, the curries were also very tasty. The staff was friendly but nothing more. It's a nice restaurant in itself, but the acoustics are terrible... it was super loud in there, even though it was only half full. It was echoing from all sides, so we had to put on earplugs. Maybe you can work on the room acoustics with furniture, partitions, etc. But we are reluctant to come back to eat there.

An absolute disgrace! It started with the fact that the stairwell was painted and it wasn't properly signposted! My entire jacket is ruined. The staff promised to take care of it - that wasn't the case! We were assured several times that someone would take care of it. We also have naan bread APPETIZER was ordered and after several requests where the starter was, it was only brought after an hour. An absolute disgrace was only one naan bread for three people. The table next door (arrived late after us) got three full bowls of naan bread... Zero justification. Mind you, the restaurant was only at capacity with 3 tables...so you can't say it was stressful. The service was terribly bad, they didn't ask once if everything was okay, they didn't even ask about what to drink. The service doesn't speak any German at all! For a big city you expect trained staff who can at least speak German... for “Tripadvisor Traveler Choice 4th place this restaurant is not justified at all!

Preliminary papadum and samosa with lamb. Papadum was tough, samosa rock hard and dry. Both appeared to come from wholesalers. Main courses were ok, but certainly not special. The fact that the menu can only be viewed via QR does not contribute to a positive experience given the long menu. Unfortunately not recommended.

Wir verstehen nicht wie dieses Restaurant so gute Bewertungen haben kann. Dabei haben wir uns von diesen guten Bewertungen dort hinführen lassen und wurden gnadenlos enttäuscht. Wir hatten 2 Gerichte ein Mal das Murgh curry chicken und Murgh vindaloo chicken curry. Das 1 genannte war zu wässerig und hat auch dementsprechend verdünnt geschmeckt. Das 2 hatte keinen Geschmack und war einfach nur scharf (nicht zu scharf für uns, aber Geschmackssort „chillischote“). Es hatte nicht wirklich Gewürze beinhaltet welche das Gericht hätten lecker schmecken lassen können. Zudem gab es noch Knoblauch nan welche wie chips gebraten wurden und auch nur nach Hefe geschmeckt hatten. Jenes war das beste an dem ganzen Besuch aber dennoch nicht, dass was die Bewertungen versprechen! Leider sehr enttäuschend…

We don't understand how this restaurant can have such good reviews. We let these good reviews lead us there and were mercilessly disappointed. We had 2 dishes once the Murgh curry chicken and Murgh vindaloo chicken curry. The 1 mentioned was too watery and therefore tasted diluted. The 2 had no flavor and was just spicy (not too spicy for us) but flavorful. “Chili pepper”. It didn't contain any spices that could have made the dish taste delicious. There were also garlic nan which were fried like chips and only tasted like yeast. That was the best part of the whole visit but still not what the reviews promise! We also had some difficulties when ordering because neither German nor English was spoken. At the beginning we were brought a beer that we hadn't ordered and the waitress had to ask if we could cancel it. Unfortunately, the stay at the restaurant was very disappointing...

Etwas versteckt im ersten Stock eines Gebäudes, aber mit gutem Blick auf das Treiben auf der Straße sind wir einer Empfehlung gefolgt. Und das hat sich gelohnt. Sehr schmackhaftes, in unserem Fall, vegetarisches Essen in guten Portionen. Große, heiße Naanbrote mit Raita vorneweg und alles war perfekt. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal rundet den Abend ab. Besten Dank und gerne wieder!

The food itself was quite good, but there was only one small bowl of rice for two dishes. Besides, there were only 3 people in the restaurant besides us. One star deducted for each of these two points

Delicious food and service. We ordered matarpaneer, garlic butter naan , plain naan , biryani raita ., all the items were very tasty., the staff is very nice, helpful and humble. Rani, Vasi and Sardar ji served us and it was a great experience. They helped us in booking cab and we forgot our hand bag at the restaurant so they came near the cab and gave it. Very nice people., it’s a must visit restaurant if you are in this city.

Unfortunately there is NO MENU and you have to view the menu on your cell phone. The desire for a printed menu has been mentioned several times and to this day there is none that you can hold in your hand. Very unfortunate. For me that's a reason not to go there anymore.

Why does the website show that the restaurant is barrier-free??? We were looking forward to a lovely evening!!! One step at the entrance, the elevator is much too small. Once again, wheelchair users are excluded.

Food was really good! We had to wait a bit before we could order, staff did ignore us for about 10 mins, but after ordering everything came fast and was very delicious! Would definitely go again and try the rest on the menu.

Today was my first time at Singh Indian in Hamburg. I've been to Bad Fallingbostel a few times and most of the dishes there were always very tasty. So I would describe the evening like this today: Great food paired with good service and a really nice ambience. To eat I had malai kofte with garlic naan bread (I just love this bread ☺️) and as a starter there was paneer pakoras, which I also found very tasty. The service was very attentive and did everything with a smile to ensure we had a lovely evening. The ambience was also good and we had a very pleasant evening with really tasty food. Feel free to go, it's definitely worth it if you want to eat great and authentic food.

My favorite Indian restaurant in Hamburg, always make sure to visit when I am in town. My favorite are the wonderful marinated meats from the Tandoori. They have a mixed grill on a hot iron plate with some very tasty roasted vegetables underneath. Favorite appetizer is the lollipop chicken. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has a large window to the dining room so you can see the cooks at work. There are large windows and nice tables at the front looking down on Steindamm, where there is always something to see. Very urban, very delicious, very recommended!

This restaurant is situated on the first floor and boasts pretty, warm yellow-patterned interiors adorned with Indian artifacts. The service is friendly and efficient. However, our experience with the Chai and Samosa was underwhelming. The samosa seemed to be frozen and fried, as parts of it were still cold, hard, and uncooked inside, and the chutney with it was unconventionally red — clearly it had artificial food color in it. The Chai was watery and lacked the expected spices, although it was decent overall. Despite these shortcomings, it's a suitable option for group dining.

Mega friendly and super good food

I was at the restaurant quite late today. But I called beforehand at lunchtime and already ordered what we wanted to eat. The food was there as soon as we arrived. Drinks were cold and tasty. The food was very tasty and fresh. The toilets were very clean. The waiters were very attentive and gave me and my companion two mango lassi each for our return journey. We felt very cared for. Gladly again when we are in Hamburg.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here as expected. We ordered murgh lollipop which sadly tasted like kfc fried chicken. We ordered 4 main dishes and the masala was not cooked properly. I would not recommend.

Very nice waiters who responded to our special requests for food and asked again if it was okay. Food was generally very tasty and arrived quickly. There was a greeting from the kitchen before and after the meal. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we would come back.

Cool place, family friendly and lots of classic Indian dishes. The music was a bit loud, but not too annoying. The butter chicken we got did mostly have chicken and not to much sauce. We all got full from one bowl and some rice. Would definitely recommend. Super friendly staff, they also spoke English if you don't speak German.
