Sindbad Döner Grill in Waltrop

Hello my lovelies. I would like to warn you. Today was my last time at Sindbad Döner Waltrop. I'd already given up on that shop because the kebab meat tasted old, and I've had hair in my food twice (which can happen). Today, unfortunately, I was stuck and unfortunately, this was the only option. Which is why I went there, aside from the fact that you now pay €7.50 for a veal kebab. It simply tastes awful. The meat is extremely poor quality, and there was gristle in every single one. It's disgusting, and I will NEVER, NEVER eat at that shop again. I also heard a story about someone seeing bread lying loose in the trunk (which wasn't clean). I don't know if that's true. But what I saw with my own eyes (several times) is enough for me to vehemently avoid the shop. I would recommend this to anyone who cares about eating sensible food.

We have only been living in a shared apartment in Waltrop for a short time and have already been confronted with the local “culture” several times in this short time. After we were able to “enjoy” an incomparably (bad) meal in a Waltrop pizzeria, this time we chose Sinbad, hoping that it was impossible to make a bad kebab. But here too we were surprised again. One of us even had the daring idea of ​​having a burger there. At first we tried to order by phone because our order was canceled via Lieferando - apparently a nod to the entire garden fence. After initial communication difficulties, the friendly gentleman on the phone explained to us that there was no driver available. So we decided to do Marcel Davis credit and show up ourselves to marvel at the “holy halls of Erebor” with our own eyes. But the sight of the dilapidated gazebo was more reminiscent of Isengard after Saruman decided to witness Uru'kai there. When we entered, we immediately noticed that the two employees were working without gloves or other hygiene products - definitely brave. With two other customers already falling victim to Sinbad's brilliant marketing strategy, we had to wait several minutes. "Where was Gondor when we decided to enter this shop?" Our order had already been placed when we were horrified to discover that the burger patty had first been brought to “core temperature” in the microwave and then sent to the deep fryer for a rest. The rolls were placed on the grill for a whopping 20 seconds, which was just enough time for the grill to even start. The chef devoted himself with meditative devotion to distributing the cocktail sauce, which immediately soaked into the soggy roll. Shortly before completion, the work of art was “garnished” with ready-made salad to at least give the appearance of nutrients. However, in terms of price and taste, Sinbad couldn't even keep up with Lidl's frozen burger. After opening the aluminum foil, my roommate's face contorted noticeably. It was clear to him: This burger sees the trash can faster than his mouth. But we persuaded him to take a juicy, crispy bite. When the burger was lifted, the entire structure fell apart, only the patty miraculously stuck to the bun and the cocktail sauce. The saying probably applies here: “One bite to enslave them all...” The first positive impression was the impressive size of the flatbread — almost as big as the Black Gate of Mordor. But as my friend likes to say: “Size isn’t everything.” Since we had to repeat our order for the third time, I was reminded of my internship at the hospital, where I looked after pensioners with dementia. Visually, however, there was little to criticize the kebab ingredients for. On the way home we noticed that the yogurt sauce (hopefully it was yogurt sauce) had bravely fought its way through the 0.1 mm thick plastic bag and landed on the passenger's pants. When we got home and faced with our colleague's disintegrated burger, our hope faded faster than Gandalf smoked his second pipe. The first bite of the kebab hit our already half-dead taste buds with the icy cold of Pandora and an overstimulation of sauerkraut that finally killed them. The conclusion: We got worse than Sinbad on the high seas. Our appeal: You need to know!

Unfortunately that was nothing. Ordered via Lieferando. 40 min delivery time stated. After 30 minutes the status is changed to delivered. After 70 minutes an email came saying I couldn't be reached by phone (no call received) and I would like to call back within the next 10 minutes. Unfortunately the next email came 30 seconds later - order canceled. The other good reviews don't help either, I won't be ordering anything from here again. Expanded based on the answer: If you don't ring or call, you can't speak of "trying to reach". I'll then wait patiently for mail and avoid the "house" in the future.

Just got Lamacun with meat and cheese. The cheese was bad, tasted really sour and smelled disgusting... I called and let them know, his answer was. “okay.” End of conversation….

Small but nice - here you get a really good kebab with plenty of meat, fresh salad and a fabulous house sauce.

Best döner I’ve eaten. Would never expect this in a small town. The döner meat was cooked perfectly and the sauces absolutely tasty. Highly recommend curry and spicy sauce. Can’t wait to get the opportunity to pass by again!!

Ich habe mir hier einen Döner normal und einen Ayran gekauft. Beides zusammen für 7 Euro. Der Preis ist fair und der Döner gut. Ich bevorzuge Hähnchenfleisch und dies war gut gewürzt, außen knusprig, innen saftig und warm in meinem Döner. Die Menge war dem Preis angemessen. Als Soße gab es Cocktail- und Knoblauchsoße, die ich beide in meinem Döner hatte. Beide waren geschmacklich gut. Der Salat war frisch und bestand aus Tomate, Gurke, Eisbergsalat und Rotkohl. Alles war geschmacklich gut. Das Fladenbrot war frisch aufgetostet und knusprig. Der Döner hatte eine angemessene Größe für den Preis. Ich mag es sehr gerne, wenn ich nicht unten das ganze Fleisch habe und oben den Salat, sondern wenn dies gleichmäßig zusammengebaut ist. Das war hier im Ansatz so, aber nicht ganz durchgängig. Ist am Ende aber auch der einzige Kritikpunkt. Der Service war super, freundlich und sehr schnell. Fazit: Guter Döner für zwischendurch zu einem fairen Preis.

Ich habe Döner und Pommes bestellt. Es war sehr lecker und mit Liebe zugerichtet. Das Dönerfleisch war sehr lecker gewürzt. Die Pommes und Die Mayo waren sehr quaitativ. Ich komme gerne nochmal.

Kleiner feiner laden mit dem besten Döner im Umkreis

Essen ist lecker,das Ambiente erinnert mich aber eher an eine Pommesbude,was aber egal ist. Mit dem Auto ist es nicht so einfach, einen Parkplatz zu bekommen.

Auf Empfehlung habe ich heute einen Döner 🥙 gegessen , war ganz gut . Schärfer hätte er sein können , warum kommt kein Dönerladen auf die Idee ein Schärfe Grad von 1-5 anzubieten.

Leckerer Döner vom Kalb oder Geflügel,Salate sind immer frisch ,leckere Saucen und Zatziki.Personal immer freundlich.Sitzmöglichkeiten sind im Geschäft nur etwa 3, bei gutem Wetter steht draußen noch eine Bierzeltgarnitur. Ist einfach auf Essen holen ausgelegt.
