Simela Finest Food in Berlin

Watch out: the restaurant is closed atm. We went there yesterday and even had a reservation (!). Doors were open but nobody inside. Then there came someone from the restaurant next door telling us that simela is currently closed for renovation…very unfortunate since it was not easy to find another gluten-free option in the area

Se potessi metterei meno dieci stelle. Premessa, sono italiana. Parto dal servizio, completamente inesistente. Personale maleducato. Abbiamo dovuto chiedere noi se alzarci e prenderci da bere da soli, riposta “wait” con tono molto scocciato. Bicchieri? Assolutamente no. Non ci è stata portata nemmeno una posata o un fazzoletto, tavolini zozzi, unti ed appiccicosi, igiene zero, il “pizzaiolo” non indossava nemmeno i guanti. E si lava ed asciuga le braccia nella cucina a vista di splendida venduta. Aberrante. Per antipasto delle bruschette, quattro pezzi 6,50, ma va bene, soltanto che purtroppo non erano bruschette, ma pezzi di “”focaccia”” cruda. Abbiamo preso io personalmente, un’insalata greca, dove nel menù non era specificata nessuna salsa, arriva con sopra dell’aceto balsamico mai chieso.. ma va bene anche questa, menomale che non sono allergica. Il mio compagno ha preso una pizza margherita con bufala, letteralmente la pizza della findus del Carrefour.

This is the last time I order with Disco Eat. Since I can't contact them. And even less ordering at this pizzeria. They brought me a very burnt pizza, and the other pizza does not have the ingredients that are listed in the Disco Eat App. They say they are extras... they don't solve the problem by phone and tell us to contact Disco Eat. The wine they offer in the App cannot be sent... Very dissatisfied. The free ruccola that is offered is not there either, they say they have forgotten... My review of this restaurant was removed due to 'defamation'. Here is my review "Heard so much about best gluten free pizza in Berlin and it was literally the least tasty one I had. Huge disappointment, high price and awful tasteless pizza". No idea why google thought me sharing my opinion about the food i ordered and paid for was against the rules of Google reviews. Added photos for proof. THIS cannot be called a 'great pizza'.

The staff is rude and doesn't care about customer service. We ordered a vegan and gluten free pizza, which they brought all black, burnt on the bottom, with cow cheese. After we asked for a non-burnt and vegan pizza, the staff started arguing and spitting on the table. After a long argument, he brings another unburned pizza with cow's cheese. The toilet is dirty and smells bad. After eating there for two days, I feel the allergy symptoms in my body. This restaurant literally sucks.

I have been here a few times and consistently enjoyed the ambiance. However, today, I was quite surprised as it seemed the staff were not happy to be there. Understandable because it's a Sunday except.... 1. They had no tap water? 2. The waitor did not say a single word to us the entire time, did not greet us, other than to take our orders. He had an airpod in the entire time and was talking or listening to it while taking our order. 3. My pizza was slightly burnt, with part of the base being burnt black and cracking apart. 4. Some of the pear on my pizza was also cold. 5. My partner ordered rosemary ham pizza. There was no rosemary...unless the ham type was rosemary, which we were not familiar with. Perhaps it was an off day. Afterall, Sundays in Berlin where everything but restaurants/bars are always closed probably means you wish to be anywhere but at work, but that does not mean you can act as above due to that upset if it were the case. Unfortunately I do not see myself visiting again.

This was the worst pizza of my entire life. It was buckwheat - I expected it not to be as good as a pizza containing gluten. But the pizza had hardly any toppings, no tomato sauce, and wasn't cooked properly. Savings were made with the obviously very cheap ingredients... 15 euros for that is just cheeky. That was 15 euros that ended up in the trash. Thanks for nothing.

Gluten-free but very bad: I ordered online and paid €4/pizza extra for the gluten-free option, but still lay awake the night with stomach problems. The pizzas were really greasy and burnt. Not good quality!

A wonderful restaurant that was a pleasant surprise! From the first minutes we felt hospitality and attention from the staff. The dishes exceeded expectations: everything was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. I especially liked the signature dishes, where you can feel the chef's skill. The atmosphere is cozy, conducive to a calm and pleasant evening. This place left only positive impressions and I would happily recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and excellent service. I'll definitely come back again!

I recently visited Simela Finest Food and was very pleased! The pizza here is excellent - thin crust, fresh ingredients, and the topping combinations are amazing. We ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza and it truly tasted like pizza. The only point is that I would like a little more sauce on the pizza for more juiciness, but this is not critical. Otherwise, everything is at the highest level: cozy interior and attentive staff. Definitely recommend!

I was so glad that I found this place in Berlin. We ordered gluten free,lactose free and a normal pizzas(all salami) . It was freshly made and was tastey. Affordabley priced too.

The restaurant is clean, there are two vegan pizzas to choose from and everything is made from both spelled flour and gluten-free. Unfortunately the edge was a little burnt but otherwise everything was very tasty.

The place I have been looking for sooo long! They offer super delicious pizza/pasta/focaccia in the flour of your choice regular wheat, dinkel whole grain or buck wheat (gluten free). Although I have not celiac disease, I believe this is the new way of eating. Eating is not just for the senses also for the health. Thank you Simela!

It’s the only place I found all gluten free! We have dinner two times here! It’s was grate. We could pay by credit card. Celiacs people feel confortable here. I tried to have dinner in different places but there few or none gluten free options in Berlin. This maybe the few ones!

Came here to try their gluten free flammenkuchen. The crust would've been impressive 10-15 years ago, but tasted disappointing. Our caprese salad was good though. The menu lists gluten free beer, but be aware that it's gluten removed/reduced.

The restaurant is very unassuming from the outside. But once you go in you don't want to go out. The welcome is warm and everything is gluten-free. There is even gluten-free beer with the food. The food is lovingly prepared and tastes wonderful. The restaurant is highly recommended for anyone who needs to eat gluten-free.

My partner and I went to Simela Finest Food on Kantstrasse and absolutely loved it. We ordered gluten-free bruschetta and 2 gluten-free pizzas, which were very tasty! The restaurant has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, the service was great and the staff was friendly. We'd love to come back :-)

We found this place because it was one of the first gluten-free places. In the reviews they talk about gluten-free pizza and focaccia, which in reality present themselves as buckwheat piadinas which obviously make you pay like gold. Staff also not very friendly. In short, I was very ill during the night, there is probably some contamination. Sin.

We love going to Simela, especially for the gluten free pizza. This is made from buckwheat dough and is so thin and nice and crispy. You can choose between wheat, spelled (+€2) or buckwheat dough (+€4) for the pizza. Important: All pizzas are baked in the same oven and are therefore not recommended for those with celiac disease. The service is friendly and gives you enough time to order. In addition to consumption in the on-site restaurant, you can also order for delivery or pickup. Which I also like to use regularly for gluten-free pizza. The extra ingredients are comparatively expensive at €1.50 for onions, for example, and higher prices. We just didn't like the pasta. The pizzas and tarte flambées are highly recommended!

Gluten-free bruchetta and pizza had the crust way too crispy. Floor was also burnt. Actually the crust wasn't a pizza crust, but more like a cracker. Gorgonzola was missing from the pizzas where it should have been. Toilet very dirty. Service not friendly. Worst gluten free pizza we've ever had.

We ate pizza. 1x gluten-free for my grandson and 1x normal. Pizza tasted good, only the gluten-free pizza base was extremely thin... like wafers... I thought it was a shame, also because it was expensive enough. Service was nice

vor einem Monat Wir haben dieses Restaurant wegen den gf Pizzen aufgesucht. Aber nur eine gf Pizza mit Buchweizen zuzubereiten hilft einer Person mit Zöliakie nicht weiter. In der Küche wir auf Kontaminationen nicht geachtet . Serviert wurde die Pizza auf einem Holzbrett worauf auch alle anderen Pizzen serviert werden. Geschmacklich hat uns weder die gf Pizza noch die anderen Pizzen geschmeckt. Hat nichts mit einer italienischen Pizza zutun 😒 Für jemanden mit Zöliakie nicht zu empfehlen. Antwort vom Inhaber vor 2 Wochen Leute leute leute ihr alle könnt zwar nicht sonderlich gut schreiben aber noch viel weniger sprechen. Wenn euch qas nicht schmeckt dann spricht man mit dem personal und isst nicht alles auf. Und wenn man mit GF-Pizzen wirbt, sollten Sie die wichtigsten Regeln kennen. Mehr möchte ich jetzt garnicht auf dieses Thema eingegen. Okay so editing this because of the so-called "savageness of the owner" who really can't be bothered to give a better customer experience or improve if someone is complaining. I was avoiding saying anything as not a fan of trashing a business down even if it's not good. And yes, Maurice and I came to this place together. The food gave us a bad stomach ache which never happened in our entire lives. (To the owner, don't start again with vaccination, Israel, blah blah). The pizza was straight-up stale, and the kitchen looked unhygienic. I had to waste food as it was pretty difficult to gulp down the slices of a pre-cut pizza which got me wondering if it's industrial or freshly made. We were leaving the place as soon as we entered but decided to stay out of politeness (clearly not a good idea). It's a definite no from my end. Also, given how the owner is behaving with the sad customers, I'm pretty sure that person is sitting somewhere too busy writing a comeback. ( At least pretend to be nice to the customers lol and hear their grievances. If you don't know how to do it or are incapable of doing so then chatGPT it)

The incredibly rude and misspelt reply to my review from the owner compels me to amend it. I initially wanted to just leave a star review but apparently it's important for the owner to recount my fairly unpleasant experience into words. So there we go, you asked for it, don't come back and cry about you not liking the review. I was in your store last night, and I have to say the highlight of my meal clearly was the overpriced bottle of still water that was required to gulp down the (equally overpriced for what they are) pizzas. I think it would be accurate to say the pizzas my girlfriend and I ordered looked and tasted pretty much like industrial pizzas, however that assessment would not be fair to industrial pizzas. They were bland at best, likely stale and by far the greasiest meal I have eaten in a while. I would have had a nicer pizza experience if I went to the Aldi frozen section and brought one of their pizzas home. We ordered two different doughs for our pizzas (respectively wheat and spelt) yet the two pizzas seemed to come with the exact same dough, having the exact same colour, exact same taste, exact same sadness. Moreover both our stomachs started to cramp by the time we got home from that place, I'm not saying it's correlated but draw the conclusions you want. Looking at the way the owner replies to the reviews, by being at best insulting, at worst intimidating and threatening litigation (to people with celiac disease he made sick with his food, who by the way, should be the ones sueing him), I now understand why so many other review rate the quality of service to one star. As a summary to you, potential tourists reading this review, I'd advise to keep scrolling for restaurants if you want to eat something somehow palatable, you won't regret it.

Great spot for a Gluten free pizza made with buckwheat crust. Came out very fast and was delicious. The bad reviews saying it was overly greasy all seemed to feature meat/multiple toppings, which would make any pizza greasier. The GF margherita pizza was perfectly enjoyable.

Da ich Zöliakie (Gluten Unverträglichkeiten) habe, habe ich das Restaurant gefunden, was auch Gluten frei anbietet. Als ich rein ging, wollte ich schon weg gehen, aber das war zu spät. Meine Gäste hatten Hunger. Die Pfannkuchen, die hier Pizza genannt wird, schmeckt überhaupt nicht. Glutenfrei sollte auf einen Cheramik Teller serviert werden, kam leider auf dennselbe Holzbrett wie alle andere Pfannkuchen. Service war auch nicht bensonders nett. Das Restaurant fand ich allgemein ungepflegt und nicht sauber. Fazit: Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall nicht für Zöliakie Menschen geeignet. Sie achten nicht auf Kontaminationen. Das Essen mit Gluten hat gar nicht geschmeckt. Ohne Gluten hat genauso schlecht geschmeckt.

Very good pasta with gorgonsola cheese sauce. When my child did not want to finish the pizza, we got a carton to take the rest home. This is not common here.

Tolles Restaurant mit Pizza und Pasta. Glutenfrei, vegan, vegetarisch… für jeden ist etwas dabei. Und dabei sind auch gute Preise! Schwere Empfehlung! Im Sommer unbedingt draußen reservieren. ;)

Super leckeres kleines Restaurant. Mit einer Glutenunverträglichkeit ist es immer schwierig was zu essen zu finden. Hier gibt es Pasta, Pizza und Desserts auch in glutenfrei und mit fairem Preis! Kann ich nur empfehlen.

This restaurant has a lot of gluten free options! For a celiac this is a safe place with almost a full menu of gluten free alternatives (a rarity anywhere, but especially while traveling!). The food was great! It is nestled in a quiet corner of the city and is a quiet place to enjoy a yummy meal!

Ordered a gluten-free pizza (buckwheat), it was extremely greasy! The box was soaked through and the dough wasn’t great. The prices are a bit high but that’s usually the case for anything gluten free.

Leider muss man einen Stern vergeben. Meine Tochter, die heute ihren 17 Geburtstag gefeiert hat und seit 16 Jahren Zöliakie hat, war heute mit Ihren Freundinnen bei Ihnen Essen. Danach wollten sie ins Kino. Was ist passiert, 2 Stunden nachdem meine Tochter eine glutenfreie Pizza in ihrem Restaurant gegessen hat mußte sie sich übergeben und der Kinio Besuch ist auch geplatzt. Toll das wir due Karten schon vorher hatten. Für Menschen, die an Zöliakie leiden und sich strickt glutenfrei, ohne Spuren von, ernähren müssen ist die Pizza nicht geeignet und nein ich bin nicht von der Konkurrenz sondern nur eine maßlos enttäuschte Mama. Mein Kind selber geht so toll mit der Zöliakie im und akzeptiert das nicht alles geht und immer wieder verursachen die Fehler anderer ihr gesundheitliche Probleme. Sie war so enttäuscht heute, dass sie mich sogar fragte ob man nicht in solchen Fällen das Gesundheitsamt informieren kann, oder wer kontrolliert das es auch glutenfrei ist. Und ich wiederhole mich gerne wir sind keines Falls von der Konkurrenz. Wir haben Bürojobs Ihre Antwort ist mehr als frech. Meine Tochter lacht sich gerade kribbelig wegen der Behauptung es könnte auch an der psyche liegen. Entschuldigung, aber wir als Familie leben seit 16 Jahren mit glutenfreier Ernährung und kennen die Symptome zu 100 % wenn etwas verzehrt wurde, was mit Gluten in Kontakt kam und da reicht bei meiner Tochter schon die kleinste Menge. Komisch, das das übergeben und der Durchfall ca. 2 Stunden nach Verzehr der Pizza kam und nach ca. 1 Stunde alles rats war es ihr wieder langsam besser ging. Der Fehler lag hier eindeutig bei Ihnen und nicht bei meiner Tochter und leider wenn wir drm nachgegangen sind, lagen die Fehler nicht bei meiner Tochter sondern bei den anderen und das nachweisbar zu 100%

Uno de los sitios con mejor relación calidad-cantidad- precio que nos hemos encontrado en nuestro viaje a Berlín. Seguramente les falte algo de finura en las recetas, pero las raciones son generosas, la comida rica y el precio económico, y además tienen muchas opciones sin gluten.

Lekkere pizza gegeten, ook prima glutenvrije opties (pizza, pasta en zelfs teramisu!). Klein tentje, niet heel veel sfeer. Gewoon prima. Bediening opzich snel, maar niet perse heel vriendelijk.

Gutes Essen zu angemessenen Preisen. Alles in glutenfrei! Bombe!

Service is casual, slow and inattentive. This is primarily because they don't have enough people. You should fix this if you can. The chap serving us was perfectly nice but clearly tired. The pizza is good. Well seasoned and tasty and for the price, good value. If you can only do GF, come here. The atmosphere when we were there was pretty strange. Lots of people but no background music even though you have speakers. Put music on, it creates the illusion of atmosphere. When we left it felt particularly dead.

Die Glutenfreie Pizza war zwar sehr lecker, jedoch wurde die Glutenfreie Pizza nicht von den Glutenhaltigen getrennt. Musste mich wenige Stunden darauf übergeben also wer Zöliakie hat sollte besser nicht in diese pizzeria gehen, ich weiß zwar nicht wie es bei den anderen locations in berlin usw. aussieht, doch hier war mein erlebnis Schrecklich. :(
