Lon Men's Noodle House in Berlin

The best beef noodle place in Berlin! It's really delicious. The broth is rich and the meat flavor is good. The bibim noodles are also delicious if you add some of the prepared seasoning. The shop is small, but the atmosphere is good and lively. However, if you go during meal times, you'll have to wait in line for a long time, so be careful about that...

The food was unfortunately very disappointing. There were very few ingredients, and the meat was cheaply prepared. The sauce was simply soy sauce and chili sauce. The price was way too high, and the portions were also incredibly small for the price. For the first time in a long time, I was very disappointed with the food here :(

Very tasty food with good value for money. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very busy and therefore very noisy. Nevertheless, it's absolutely recommended!

Too expensive, too small a portion, nothing special in taste.

Not worth lining up for it. Noodles are just 挂面, pre-made noodle you can buy from the tiny market downstairs in East Asia that are very unchewy.

Authentic little restaurant. Waiting times may vary depending on the weather but a wait is to be expected, especially if there is more than one person. However, the order comes to the table in less than 10 minutes, despite the house being full. Very tasty noodles, juicy meat. There are also toilets. Card and cash payment. Toilet is clean. The staff is always incredibly nice and works very quickly, a clear recommendation. One of the best places in town!

Nothing mind-blowing, this would be an average 3 star beef noodle soup if they served it in taiwan. but we are not in taiwan, we are in berlin. its still yummy though

The food is good, but not outstanding either. What is really annoying is the topic of “card payments from €20”. We are in Berlin 2025. The store is a tourist hotspot. I offered 90 cents extra to shorten the discussion. Wasn't enough for the boss. He wanted €1.40. You can't negotiate that badly with your billing service provider. Just bold. Won't go there again.

Small portions, big price, still hungry. Taste was okay

We have been coming to Lon-Men's Noodle House again and again for 18 years, now also with our children - and every time it is a culinary feeling of being at home. The menu is as ever, as are the rooms, which seem to be bursting at the seams - that's exactly what makes this place so charming: the unmistakable atmosphere and the reliability in consistently excellent quality. Our favorite choice remains the noodle soup, you can just taste how much craftsmanship goes into it. The prices have of course risen significantly over the years, but it's absolutely worth it to us. A real classic on Kantstrasse that has remained true to itself.

Here you notice... the money has gone to their heads. Anyone who wants to eat mediocre noodles (it's just normal noodles) is very welcome here. After 1.5 hours of staying, we were loudly thrown out (all the guests paused briefly and looked at us in horror) because wealthy customers were waiting outside. This could have been said more kindly. Never again.

Lon Men is an institution on Kantstrasse and is always worth it. I recommend the 15 and 73 (the latter is also great for sharing). If you want to avoid waiting, it's best not to come at peak times. Although it's always quick :)

It's been my favorite restaurant for 10 years..ㅠㅠㅠ Card payment is always from 20 euros.. Even though I'm only one person, it's like I'm forced to pay by credit card.. (Even if it's about 18 euros, they don't seem to accept credit card payment..) I ordered chili oil noodles + wontons, chili oil wontons, and oolong tea.. Tea came out, and they gave me jasmine tea, so I told them I ordered oolong tea and took care of it. Green tea has arrived... The prices have gone up and the owner has changed... The taste has also changed a bit. The noodles in my food are soft and it looks like they were cooked and left in a bowl for a long time. The noodles didn't just stick to the bowl and didn't come off when I pressed them. Other people were enjoying their meals, but my menu wasn't very good. I'm going to try beef noodles again, but I don't want to go back anymore. It's so heartbreaking. It seems like the price has gone up and the quantity has decreased... ㅠㅠㅠㅠ For your information, if you are looking for a clean restaurant, this is not it.. If you look at the kitchen… No way..ㅎ

Fantastic noodle soup! It's worth the hype (and apparently you don't always have to wait in line, we got a table for 7 on Saturday lunchtime without waiting). Always a tip, the Lon Men.

We took a day trip to Berlin today to eat here. We became aware of a report by ARD. So first we explored the city and stopped here at 5 p.m. for almost 2 hours. There were five of us and we were seated immediately. The staff welcomed us very friendly, the drinks came quickly, and the oolong tea tasted excellent. To eat there was beef noodle soup, dumplings and dim sum. The food was great🥰 you closed your eyes while eating and you were in Taiwan. We immediately got wanderlust😌 While paying, we briefly talked to the senior manager about Taiwan, then we went back into the city full and very satisfied. Conclusion: the visit was definitely worth it, we will definitely come back again and again. 5 stars in all respects!!! We also really liked the authentic ambience (which is often not rated so well here). That's what it looks like in many restaurants in Taiwan 😉 Kind regards from the family from the Harz and see you again soon 🙏

Attracted by the TV report and as a fan of Taiwanese cuisine, a visit to Lon Men's noodle house was of course a must at some point. The cramped atmosphere here immediately makes you feel like you're in a small restaurant in Taipei. The kitchen team works like clockwork and the service is friendly, courteous and quick. In order to get as wide a selection of dishes as possible, we shared a lot of dishes and can only rave about it. The noodle soup with beef is particularly recommended.

The staff member was incredibly rude! There were five of us, and one of our friends decided not to order any food due to stomach issues. The staff started scouting him, saying that he didn’t come to a park but to a restaurant, and that he had to order food, not just a drink. Absolutely unacceptable behavior, and the food turned out to be mediocre. 0/10 — we do not recommend this place

I visited on the 5th day of my trip to Berlin and it was so delicious. It's crazy to eat sesami rice stir-fried noodles mixed with chili sauce. As a side, I ordered mountain rat soup, bao bun duck, and 8 pieces of fried dumplings, and they were all delicious. The food isn't too sweet and it's so great. I want to visit again tomorrow evening.

Best Taiwanese cuisine in 15sqm. The Uppen are sensational. A must on Kantstrasse for everyone who wants the original.

Portions are rather small, the food is nothing extraordinary considering the waiting time to get seated. It‘s pretty loud inside. Ohly cash payment up to 20€. They have a vegan section on the menu though!

Incredibly delicious homemade noodles, I had the number 5 noodles with vegetables and a sesame peanut sauce, so creamy. I also had tofu with chilli sauce, which was super delicious. The shop is an insider tip Small and nice, not many people can fit in, so you have to wait outside, but we managed it. Kudos to the whole family.

Outstanding and worth a trip to Berlin alone. Bring some patience.

Small, simple snack bar serving Taiwanese noodle soups, noodle dishes, and meat dishes. Authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced. The service is always friendly and professional! You should bring your time and patience; the huge customer demand ensures that it's always a busy place. Recommendation: Chicken noodle soup or wonton soup! Card payments from €20, otherwise cash only.

Finally got a chance to review this very hyped place. It didn't disappoint at all! The flavours, the noodles consistency and the service were all on point! And the price is absolutely reasonable for what you get. I cannot recommend it enough! PS come at off peak hours because it's always crowded otherwise.

Pasta with spicy meat sauce is my favorite. I've been eating there for several years now. Unfortunately, I think the rise in prices recently is a bit too much. Of course you have to go along with the price due to the current situation, but oh well…. And please find a solution for more seats so that you don't have to wait so much.

Small, unassuming Taiwanese restaurant that's easy to miss and we only ended up at based on a recommendation. It's obvious that guests come for the food and not the ambience. The menu is surprisingly extensive and the service is quick and friendly. The noodles with crispy duck didn't convince me; I should probably have had a soup. My companions, who all chose soups, were very satisfied.

A very authentic restaurant where you have to wait in line because it is so busy. Very friendly staff and relatively nicely decorated. The noodle soup with chicken was very tasty and spicy, but the chicken was just boiled and added, which was a bit too boring for me personally. The wontons were very tasty and the price was also right. Gladly again.

Great restaurant! I can especially recommend the noodles with chili sauce and tofu. It takes a little longer outside, but inside you are served quickly. The dumplings are also very tasty, and there was even a dumpling extra upon request. The beef soup is also convincing - with a little seasoning it's just great! The ambience is authentic, the restaurant itself is a bit small for the high demand :)

Simple bistro, the food tastes very good (to me) and is very inexpensive. Above all, not a “cheap Chinese” with as much convenience as possible. However, it is often full and perhaps not recommended for a dignified lunch in a classy atmosphere - you then have to spend more. Anyone who accepts this should feel comfortable here.

Great place. Just a bit small but greatly compensates for the quality and taste of food. Perfectly seasoned and just to enjoy. Highly recommend. I had chilli tofu and bok Choy with noodles and vegan dumplings. Both were great and will go there again. PS. You need to go at a bit off timing if you don’t like to wait in the line.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the place was cramped and smelled like food. I will come back because the food is delicious. My suggestion is that you come before 7pm as it gets very crowded after 7pm. There is a long line outside.

We became aware of the store through a television documentary. After a certain wait at the door, the food came relatively quickly. A very friendly and well-coordinated family business. A lively shop! Let's get to the food: we ordered 1x vegan spring rolls, 1x noodles in peanut sauce, mixed dumplings and wonton noodle soup. Unfortunately, the spring rolls were too greasy on the outside and still frozen on the inside (not homemade) and my noodles were unfortunately just drizzled in sauce. The pho was really tasty and so were the dumplings. A clear star deduction because of the spring rolls!

You get your food quickly after waiting in the rightly long line. Not a place to chat for a long time because it's just nice to eat quickly and let the next guests come along. Food is always great. Also very friendly service. In the summer you can simply order take-away to save yourself the long wait.

It's so popular that there's always a bit of a wait. Still, the turnover rate was good so I got in quickly!! Once I sat down, my order came quickly and the food was served fairly quickly. The beef noodle soup was just right without being spicy, and the meat was delicious without any smell. The fried noodles (?) and seasoned noodles (?) on the left tasted like ssamjang mixed with meat. It was a taste that seemed to suit the tastes of Koreans as well. The portion size was a bit(?) disappointing, but the taste was beyond reproach, so I recommend it!! Is this noise suitable for conversation? Of course, it's not a place where you can have a serious, quiet conversation, but it's a place where you can enjoy a small beer and dinner with friends after work.

Super good food, very friendly waiters and it looks like a restaurant that you could find in Taiwan. Everything was relatively tight and we cooked right at the entrance. Quaint atmosphere, but highly recommended.

I go to Lon Men every week and could actually eat here every day. I've never eaten anything so delicious anywhere. Absolutely heavenly!! Standing in line is annoying but it's worth it. I love this restaurant!

Lon Men's Noodle House is a food spot that was recommended to me a lot and now I was finally there. The restaurant is relatively small with an open kitchen and is usually very busy. I was there for lunch and tried the beef noodle soup and the wontons in chili oil. Both were incredibly tasty and prepared quickly. The price-performance ratio was great. I would recommend planning to wait a bit for your visit. If you appreciate good Taiwanese food and a casual, family atmosphere, this is the perfect place for an entertaining stay. I'm looking forward to my next time.

Top authentic food! It really tastes really good. There is also a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. It gets busy even on weekdays, but you usually don't have to wait long for a table!

Very good cuisine and friendly service. You should definitely try the noodle soup with beef! Light, simple, very tasty and still leaves you very full. Even if you only take a “small” portion, it is already big enough. Sometimes you have to expect a wait, the restaurant is very small and the location is always busy. So be prepared to wait.

This review is a tough one. Because I have very fond memories of this place. But just rating recent experiences it doesn’t deserve more than 3 stars. It’s a legacy place. And has been one of the the first Chinese / Taiwanese restaurants in Berlin to take serious. But I believe the food is no where close where it used to be. The small bites are still very enjoyable and the dumplings too. So make sure you have those. The rest lacks substances. The broth and the dry noodle dishes are missing depth. I lived in Taiwan and tried to eat in as many places as possible. I love the food there and to my opinion it summarises the best of Chinese cuisine and has a unique nudge. I hope lonmen reinvents itself because the first time I visited, 6 years ago it was different. Good Asian restaurants in Berlin usually have a 50/50 ratio of Asian customer and non. At lon men often is only white. Yea some actors are going but the real critics don’t show up there. And this really summarises it to me. The food became to western and is a shadow of it self. I still enjoy service and the fond memories! But won’t come back soon

Simply the best. You wait for a reason

It's so delicious. Eat a lot of chili oil wontons. They're really delicious. The beef noodle soup is also great. I don't think you really need to eat Heo beef. The fried dumplings weren't my style either, but the person I went with ate them well. In conclusion, be sure to try these two things: chili oil wontons and beef noodle soup. *There will be a wait as you go at dinner time.
