We had dinner at the Voitlhof on the day of our civil wedding with about 20 people. We particularly enjoyed Gabi's straightforward, friendly approach, with whom we planned dinner in advance. At our request, three dishes were placed in the middle of the tables, and everything was delicious. We felt very comfortable and are grateful for her openness and flexibility. 😊

The food was fantastic, and the restaurant was fully booked. And it was absolutely justified! I highly recommend it.

We went to the Voitlhof on a recommendation and—luckily—had made a reservation. You can find a spot without a reservation, but this way we were sure. The entrance is downstairs, and the Hatter is upstairs in the courtyard! We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to a nice, cozy table for two. The always attentive service quickly brought the beers we ordered, and we had a hard time choosing from the menu. Then we had the classic roast pork! ...and what can I say? It was a poem! My first impression of the sauce was that it seemed quite thin, more like a gravy than a sauce, but I was proven wrong! Sensational! Combined with the delicious dumplings and the tender roast—fantastic! The crispy crusts sat on top and were the crowning glory of the dish! I haven't had a better roast pork! If we're in the area, we'd definitely love to come back!

Very good food with great ambience

Very friendly service, great food, reasonable prices. And you can easily choose your own portions. Whether you want 1, 2, or 3 slices of meat, dumplings of all kinds in any quantity. Definitely recommended. But always make a reservation, otherwise you won't get a table.

We discovered the Voithof online. We were lucky to get a free table. Reservations won't be available again until September. Due to the high demand, everything is a bit hectic. The staff are all really friendly and do their best. The food was delicious, but could have been served a bit warmer. It wasn't comfortable for us. Because the waiters ask you to leave your table immediately after your meal, you get the feeling that you're making room for the next guests. Payment isn't made at the table; instead, guests go to the cash register.

It was a real discovery – we found a German restaurant in the mountains. The atmosphere is cozy, almost homey; you feel like you're visiting friends. Even though we don't speak any German, we received a very warm and caring welcome. And the food... simply delicious! Delicious beer. Every dish was prepared with heart and taste. Because of the previous memorable visit, we drove to Tegernsee specifically to dine here with friends. Consistently excellent quality, served by a very professional team, in a typically Bavarian restaurant. It won't be our last visit; we'll be back.

We had dinner there. The restaurant is widely known for its roast pork. Guests were standing outside waiting to be seated. Unfortunately, we weren't informed until we got to our table that the roast pork was sold out. It was a Monday around 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the rest of the menu isn't particularly extensive. My four friends were still happy with their selections. I was a bit disappointed, firstly, by my choice and secondly, that we weren't informed while we were waiting in line that the roast pork was sold out.

The museum, or rather the tour itself, was free and very educational. You get to see interesting exhibits that are lovingly arranged. Everything is labeled and easy to follow. However, a guided tour of the museum must be booked in advance.

Very tasty food, very child-friendly, great playground right outside the door

We went to the lovely Voitlhof for dinner and were excited about the highly rated food. First, the positive: the farm is beautifully situated and is itself quaint and beautifully preserved. The service was friendly. However, we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our food, which is rather unusual for an inn and generally too long. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Aside from the fact that the roast pork – which actually makes up the main part of the menu and is particularly praised – was already sold out at 7:30 p.m., both the beef roulades and the beef goulash were quite dry. The side dishes arrived late and were sometimes piping hot (red cabbage - why?), and the dumplings – also praised – were too soft and inconspicuous. Generally, I think it's right that dishes are simply sold out at some point; it's sustainable. But in this case, it's a bit early, especially for such a popular dish. It's a shame, but it was probably the first and last visit.

Absolutely beautiful and highly recommended. We were here with 10 people. Super friendly service, delicious food, and a wonderfully rustic atmosphere. It was absolutely no problem getting a comfortable seat for 10 of us. We were here for coffee around lunchtime and spontaneously returned for dinner. We've never had such delicious cake. The coffee is also absolutely delicious. This will be our new favorite place...We absolutely loved it. A big thank you to the entire team!

We went there twice, and both times it was very busy. Nevertheless, it's a very nice restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. Friendly staff and service. The Kaiserschmarrn is delicious. The roast pork is tender and flavorful – definitely recommended. The cheese doughnuts are fantastic, and the dumplings are also very good. The portion sizes are moderate, but the price is reasonable. Give it a try!

A real insider tip in Rottach-Egern! The Voitlhof is simply fantastic – a perfect blend of Bavarian coziness, warm hospitality, and a beautiful location. The rooms are lovingly furnished, very clean, and offer wonderful views of the mountains or the countryside. We especially enjoyed the generous breakfast with many regional products – it starts the day with a smile! The host family is incredibly friendly and helpful – you immediately feel welcome. The location is also ideal: quiet, yet close to Lake Tegernsee, which is easily accessible on foot or by bike. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the Voitlhof!

Hidden in a valley near the lake ‘Tegernsee’ is a marvelous, traditional restaurant with a long history reaching back to 1532. the ambient is traditional bavarian, very clean and cozy. the patio is a great place to enjoy your coffee while the sun is out, giving you a great view over the nearby mountain range… there is a playground right next to it, so parents can enjoy their food in peace. ;) The food has always been delicious. the salads fresh, the main courses are constantly adapted to food that is seasonal available, while offering a good variety of different dishes. they serve local beer, which of course tastes great. pastry / cakes are made in house…. They are delicious 👌🏽 the services is always great, polite and quick to respond. definitely a hidden gem

Unfortunately, only mass processing and poor service We've been going to this restaurant regularly for almost 10 years and have noticed that the quality of the food has declined, but after today, it was our last visit. After ordering, we received our main course almost at the same time as our aperitif. When we wanted to order a Kaiserschmarrn, a middle-aged waitress with short hair rudely told us she'd have to ask the kitchen first. Despite repeated attempts to get the waitress's attention back, we were unsuccessful. Instead, we got the strong impression that they deliberately forgo this service so that the table would be freed up quickly for other guests. The fact that reservations are no longer possible and that "you should just come by" reinforces this suspicion. Unfortunately, the cozy atmosphere that once existed has completely disappeared. Everything is very hectic and uncomfortable. The food is quickly brought to your table by an unfriendly waitress, so you leave quickly. Any feeling that there's still time for another drink and dessert is immediately taken away. If you're looking for good quality food and attentive service, this is unfortunately not the place for you.

For me, this is the best (Bavarian) restaurant in the area! Rustic decor, the fluffiest spinach dumplings ever, a dream salad, and delicious cakes for dessert. Everything is freshly prepared with love – nothing is simply reheated here.

Why the store is so popular is a bit of a mystery to me. Yes, the atmosphere is nice, the service was also attentive - but very unsympathetic in places. Well, that could of course be my personal impression. Much more important, however, is the food - and it was really bad. The side dishes, potato salad and dumplings, were still good. But when it comes to a roasted crust, it's all about the roasted crust - and I can't even call it that. It was just a tough shoe sole. This is roughly how I imagine minute steaks from the discount store. It doesn't help much if you put a small piece of crust on top - that doesn't turn the sole of a shoe into a crusty roast. The fact that this dish of all things should be the flagship dish of the house - and at an above-average price - is really disappointing.

We had the little card on Tuesday. The cake was first class. The other dishes were good. Unfortunately the service was completely overwhelmed. We were only allowed to place our order after asking, the dishes arrived spread out over 40 minutes and they had completely forgotten one of the four dishes. Two of the dishes were not according to the menu. There have been some very strange attempts to resolve the discrepancies. But in the end it worked. All in all, I've had better experiences at other locations in the region.

You can describe it in very short words 5 stars plus Fantastic... A culinary delight, service, ambience until sunset - a wonderful end to the evening of our day trip to Lake Tegernsee. Food and decor with so much taste, we would like to give it a few more stars. The battered brawn and lard in the jar delicious-tasty! The fact that you can put together the pork crust roast in many variations is a joy to the heart.

When we are in the valley, the Voitlhof is one of our favorite restaurants. Great atmosphere and sensational roasts. And depending on your hunger, you can order roast slices. Coffee and cake are also recommended. For us one of the best addresses. 👍

A restaurant that is always worth a visit. Nice cross-country skiing area. Had dinner here and I have to say it was excellent. The roast pork in 10 different variations is phenomenal. The log cabin was dismantled in Tyrol and reassembled here on Lake Tegernsee. Rustic atmosphere. Simply great

The crusty roast and dumplings are available here Focus - pretty much any type and combination imaginable is possible. The restaurant is also famous for this. And rightly so: the classic versions are particularly great. The more “special” ones are very intense but delicious. But definitely try the sausage salad and Kaiserschmarren! Very friendly service.

One of the best roast pork I've ever had! Buttery soft, juicy, tasty. And just the juice! All the dumplings are also excellent. Likewise the cakes/pies. Very friendly and experienced service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very appropriate and you immediately feel very comfortable. Absolute recommendation!!!
