ShooLoongKan HotPot 小龙坎 老火锅 Chinese Fondue in Berlin

I always love to try something new and for a while my phone only offered me HotPot locations and finally - well past the hype, I know - I had my first HotPot experience! 🥳 The “leicht scharf” (slightly spicy) broth was definitely dominating the first bit of the meal but it has been a fun experience to sit around, cook, eat and chat while enjoying this “Chinese fondue” if you may wanna call it that. 😁

Highly recommended! Damn good food in an authentic atmosphere and with good, partially automated service. The three broths you can choose from are all super tasty, and the selection of meat and vegetables is extensive. If you're not used to spiciness, I (and the staff) recommend starting with a very slightly spicy broth or, if necessary, removing the chilies from the broth. The price is certainly not cheap, but it is definitely reasonable for the taste experience on offer!

We had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday. Last time we were there a waiter was very friendly and gave us wet wipes to wipe our hands. This time the older lady who served us didn't give us wet wipes. And when she came to serve us, she smelled like cigarettes. And her expression showed an indescribable feeling. Felt very unwilling to serve us. The expression management is very poor. She makes me angry.

We shared a hot pot with 3 soups. Really nice place with a lot of variety of side dishes. Totally recommend!!! (Watch out for the spicy soup, very hot 🔥)

A very nice experience to dine there. Good advice, service and a diverse selection of dishes. Everything is fresh and delicious. My deduction is for the condition of the toilets and the space on the table, otherwise everything is 👌.

Our first experience with the hotpot. Great experience. Also for the children (4 and 6). The restaurant has a great ambience, lots of tables but not too loud. You order from the extensive menu via tray. Very simple and self-explanatory. If you had any questions, the friendly service was there immediately. Food came very quickly. There is an extra buffet where you can always have dips and kimchi etc. Note, the broth is also slightly spicy!!! And we usually like to eat spicy food. So all in all, a great visit to the restaurant, we'll be back.

Thank you very much to the guy who served table 16 at 17:30 this evening. We had already left after our meal. He chased us out and gave us the mobile phone we left behind. Thank you very much! Xiaolongkan is still so delicious, and the ordering system, dishes, and services have all been upgraded. I think it is still the No. 1 hotpot in Berlin.

An all-round great experience. The food tastes great and there is a large selection of ingredients. The service is very pleasant, friendly and accommodating.

Asian fondue. You have to have done it. Large selection of dishes that you can prepare yourself in the fondue. For newcomers like us, the very friendly staff is available to help and advise. Very happy again.

Chengdu people think it’s pretty good. I come here almost every week. My wife, who is from Anhui, loves hot pot even more than I do. The quality of the dishes is relatively stable, and I asked, "It's pretty good." Ms. Yan's service is very good, thank you.

It was fun and very tasty. We had 2 soups. Once mushroom and once slightly spicy (it was very spicy for me as a not very spicy eater) a little more expensive but a great experience. Ms. Moitz served us very nicely.

I had dinner there with a friend today and wow, I was just thrilled! The food was very high quality and fresh. If, like me, you can hardly tolerate anything spicy, the light spicy broth is the best way to start. The mushroom broth is also very tasty and the selection of ingredients is huge. Definitely worth a visit!

It’s still delicious as always, my favorite hot pot restaurant in Berlin. Yan's service was in place, and water was added to the dish in a timely manner. Come again next time

A very good atmosphere, even if, in the end, everything gets mixed up a bit in the fondue! The staff is efficient and the tablet ordering system works well too.

To be honest, I never leave comments for restaurants. The decoration and atmosphere here are very good. The hot pot is also very authentic. But the white-haired lady who serves really makes me feel uncomfortable. She is very perfunctory to customers with Asian faces. She is very enthusiastic to people with foreign faces. It is hard for people not to suspect that you discriminate against Asians. I have eaten here many times, and the young waiters are very good. This white-haired lady made me start to hesitate whether to continue to consume here. I hope this place can be improved.

A lot of options, very authentic place, big restaurant so take many people with you..

There were two of us there, service was very quick, we were able to use the iPad to order well, the medium hot broth was a bit too spicy for my German friend, otherwise it was very tasty. I also had the fried tofu (very tasty) and black fungi (it was a bit difficult to eat because they dipped, I had to use a ladle at the end). It's worth going to the sauce table. We also had iced tea, the Yuzu grape iced tea (very sweet like bubbletea) and my friend had Lichi iced tea (not very sweet). There were a few Americans and English people who were very loud and looked too deeply into their drinks, but it was nice that they were happy too

Tasty and spicy food. If you are not asian, I would recommend lite spicy sauce or go for other options. As an Indian, medium spicy is still too much for me. We added more water to the sauce. But the food was tasty and I liked it.

A restaurant that is simply fun! We had hot pot with three different broths. We also had beef and lamb, various vegetables, noodles and rice cakes. The food was tasty but not outstanding. The focus here is on socializing and having fun. The service was super friendly and attentive! We will definitely come back and can recommend the restaurant.

A super nice decorated restaurant. We have already been to Düsseldorf, so we have a comparison. Points are deducted for the “still” complicated ordering process with pieces of paper. In Düsseldorf this is already possible with a tablet.

Delicious ! First time eating chinese hot pot. The meat is delicious, the mushroom pot is my favorite. The staff is super nice and helpful if you're not used to Chinese fondue. Definitely a place to try out !

Very good and large HotPot restaurant with a nice atmosphere. There are also separate niches where you can sit behind a curtain. You can order either via a card, via a QE code (Wi-Fi is available) or via a tablet at the table. As usual, you mix the sauces yourself. There is everything your HotPot heart desires (and everything tastes very good). The broths are also delicious and, depending on the variety, very spicy. There are enough toilets.

All the ingredients are really fresh, the lady attending us is really attentive, the food are served really fast. Even as someone who often ate hotpots, the medium one is spicy enough for us. The Mango smoothie is really refreshing with lychee jelee, the crispy pork does the name justice, and overall experience is a 10/10. Jasmine Pot tea brings me back home, and the Christmas set is complete with the tofu, quail eggs, and the meat- we are really satisfied. Will love to be back.

A culinary hit! We had all three hotpot variations and each one was a delight - from mild to fiery hellish! But be careful: the spicy version is not for the faint of heart. 😅 The only small downer: The drinks apparently took a long time to cook - they would have liked to have come quicker. Otherwise great atmosphere and super delicious food. We'd love to come back, but maybe with a double drink order!

First time in Hotpot restaurant and quite disappointed. Probably will never try again. Just a boiling spicy sauce that you put your food into and then it is lost there, especially the frozen meet….

Really good, be careful about the hot broth, even one piment was incredibly spicy (next time we would take only tomato and add our own piment) the food is really good and the prices are fair. We enjoyed more the vegetables noodles and rice cake than the meat. Nice experience

The concept benefits only for the owners. No cook, you are the one boiling over and over again for a messy experience with colleagues, expensive price and good gemuse but just boiled by yourself. Better to do the same at home and buy a champagne to enhance the taste for the same price & a less scammy concept. Though the environment is great, that is the only added-value

Food was very tasty. We all had 3 hot pot sauces. The spicy only on the first level and trz it was clearly too spicy for many at the table! Service and food were very quick. The meat in particular is very tasty. Still a rather expensive affair. However, after almost 1 hour 45 minutes, we were asked while we were eating whether we would be leaving soon. Very rude, since we were actually still eating and weren't even finished. Rescheduling a table for a group of 7 after 2 hours is not well managed. With such an expensive meal, that's just bad!

Spent 140€ dinner for two. For the flavor and quality, I believe it is well over priced. The sauces and soup aren’t free and all add ons are priced quite high. Lamb slices were so thin you couldn’t boil them without it disintegrating. Also found the toilets to be sticky and dirty, something a restaurant charging these prices shouldn’t be neglecting. Will not be back.

If your service attitude is so bad, don’t be a waiter. I’m talking about your short-haired lady.

The food is great, but they charge for every little thing, like drinking water, to go boxes and the sauce. They also provide the tiniest spoon for the most popular hotpot sauce, which just screams CHEAP. I went alone, spent 67€, and they wouldn’t even provide drinking water and a normal-sized spoon for the sauce. Not ok. Don’t think I’ll come again.

Can do it. Unfortunately, the employees mostly speak English. But the cards are also in German. Be careful, the spicy broth is rightly named. It really burns. Large tables are available and you can also accommodate larger groups. Best to reserve. But it tasted very good.
