ShooLoongKan HotPot 小龙坎 老火锅 Chinese Fondue in Berlin

Everything was very fresh and delicious with a great service team. Unfortunately, we didn't listen to the server's advice and ordered a heat level of 2/4. That was much too spicy for us.

I don't know if it's the concept of this meal or the restaurant itself, but the food barely tastes of anything. The soups have a faint taste of what they're supposed to, but that doesn't really help to flavor the rest of the dish. Absolutely everything costs extra, and it's all extra expensive. In my opinion, the prices are completely unjustified, and I would never eat here again. The seating is also uncomfortable, and there's a constant draft. My clothes stink completely.

Very tasty hotpot, the ingredients are of great quality

It's expensive for a reason. The food is delicious, the ingredients are diverse and fresh, the presentation is nice, there's an iPad for ordering, there are baskets for clothes, and the condiment station is perfect. It's just expensive, nothing else.

We booked for six people and spent a lot of money there. The booking confirmation stated we had 2.5 hours, but we were kicked out after only two hours. We didn't appreciate that!

The place is very spacious and well decorated, I've always been here for hotpot and the ingredients are fresh and a wide variety. The people who work here are very nice and take the time for any question/request you have.

The decor is lovely, and the food is delicious and authentic. There's a sauce bar where you can create your own. The drinks selection is also extensive, including house specialties. The staff is very attentive.

This was our first time here, and it was definitely worth the visit. The food was really delicious (we especially enjoyed the fish dishes), and the spicy broth was nice and hot! :) The selection was a bit limited for some dishes (e.g., dumplings or noodles), but overall there were still plenty of tasty options. Unfortunately, making your own dip cost extra, so you should expect to spend a bit more overall. The service was very friendly, and all in all, it was a great hot pot experience.

A Wonderful Hot Pot Experience! We had a truly wonderful experience here! The restaurant offers a large selection of dishes and different broths to choose from. The service was fast and friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. A fantastic detail is the small sauce bar, which offers a variety of base sauces and fresh ingredients, allowing you to mix your own custom dipping sauces. This really elevates the dining experience. Highly recommended!

Very tasty hot pot! If you like spicy stuff, this is definitely your place! They do also have non-spicy hot pot base. Perfect for a cold weather in Berlin! 😋😋

Amazing experience. If you've never had hotpot go there, but be sure to tell them you've never had hotpot so you don't miss out on the various techniques! Which chopsticks to use, broth etiquette, sauce station suggestions. Lots of great food and make sure to try the plum wine!

We had reserved a table for eight people and were given a table in a separate room, which was very nice. The service was friendly and quick, and they explained everything clearly. The food was really delicious, but of course, quite expensive. Next time, we'll order more vegetables and mushrooms and less meat.

Beautiful atmosphere! Lots of delicious dips to go with the food. Unfortunately, absolutely EVERYTHING was incredibly spicy 🌶️ (!!!) and we had chosen the mildest chili heat… (!!) All we could taste was the burning sensation in our mouths… and we even got dizzy. The older server was quick but not exactly friendly, more of a grumpy type. Still, it was an experience…😎

This chain hotpot restaurant is common in major European cities. The broth is quite good and the service is excellent. However, after eating hotpot, your clothes will smell strongly of the restaurant.

I have to say it’s definitely an overpriced place. The broth is for sure solid excellent and waiters are very nice. However, the price is way too high for the amount of food you can get. Also I’m afraid the food quality is not so nice. We had vegetable platter, but the veges don’t look fresh. Also their beef is very bad and cheap looking. If u charge people 6 euros for about 200 g of beef, at least make sure it’s in good quality. I would not recommend.

The food was good but not better than, for example, Hou Tang in Kudamm. From the price similar or maybe even more expensive. I prefer Nin Hao. We had a reservation but the booth seating was not available.

Second visit Jan 2025: still had a great experience. I would not order the shrimp again, nor the lotus. The meatballs, tofu skins, rice cakes and mushrooms were all good choices. We ordered the broth with the lowest spice level and it was ok for some food (like the rice cakes) but too spicy for others (like the tofu skins). The sauces are absolutely worth it, they give and extra twist to the meal. Really great first experience at a hotpot restaurant. I was surprised by the foods I enjoyed the most, for example the rice cakes. We also ordered the thinly cut meat but I did not enjoy it as much. Everything else was really good. We ordered some spicy items, and even at the lowest spice level it was quite high for me (I don’t have tolerance built in). Service was super nice and fast. The sauce bar is a must.

(Edited) We most of the times order the double pot with spicy broth and tomato base. Highly recommend the wide noodles, thinly sliced beef and lamb, and fish tofu (鱼豆腐). They also have my favorite drink when eating hotpot (coconut milk) - quite expensive, 4,5€ - and have some separate rooms, although the ones in the front are horrible in cold days. They leave them open for people on the back to not feel warm. Being cold is worse than being warm, in my opinion, so please take that into consideration. They have a self-service sauce bar where you can prepare your own dip, which is a nice touch, but the serving spoons for the sauces are extremely small (very annoying). On the expensive side. The food is good and is authentic, but portions are not big.

We had reserved a table for 7 p.m. None of us had ever experienced anything like this before. We received a warm welcome, and the hot pot was explained in a very understandable way, and then we were off to a good start. Orders are placed via a tray at each table, which also features pictures of each dish. You submit your order, and everything arrives in about five minutes. We really enjoyed trying the wide variety of meat and vegetables; everything was very fresh and appetizingly presented. We found the delay of two hours for a reservation very pleasant. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Here, you can choose from a variety of ingredients and cook them yourself in your own broth :D The service was very attentive and courteous, so there were never any empty plates sitting around for long. And there were plenty of them because it was truly delicious! Make a reservation in advance!

We went to ShooLoongKan HotPot in Berlin last night. We had the tomato broth – the spicy beef we ordered made it really spicy all by itself. It came with vegetables and a portion of rice for everyone, which was fairly priced. Sure, the overall experience isn't cheap, but the quality is excellent. The ambiance is authentic, but you can tell: it's warm, humid, and the smell of food is intense – if you want to leave afterward, you should expect a shower and fresh clothes. Service was friendly, the restrooms were clean, and overall, it's designed for larger groups and crowds. All in all, a delicious and authentic hotpot evening.

The broths weren't tasty, and the medium-spicy broth was so spicy it hurt my throat. Otherwise, our waitress was very nice, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant.

This is a known international chain, so you can be sure you're getting as closer to authentic as you can get. Comes with everything a normal Chinese hotpot experience should - up to three soups in a pot, full condiment bar, and storage for your coats and phones in the table. It tends to be completely packed when the weather is cold, so make sure to make a reservation a few days in advance. Doing so on the day or showing up at the door rarely works if it's cold out, and waiting for a table never works either as hotpot is usually a 2-3 hour affair!

The service for drinks took longer. It would have been nice if the waitress had informed us that there's a flat rate of €3.50 per person for dipping sauces, especially if you're already in the middle of discussing these sauces with the staff.

Most authentic Chinese Hotpot, very tasty and very good and friendly service !

I’m not usually good with spicy food, but sometimes… there comes a day. This was one of those days when I suddenly craved something insanely spicy, so I ended up at a hotpot place. When I went, the place was almost empty, so I could enjoy my meal in total peace and quiet. The interior was so extravagantly decorated that I felt like I had rented out the whole place just for myself. I threw all kinds of veggies and meat into the two different soups, mixed up a delicious sauce, and went all in. I left the restaurant with a very full belly and a happy heart. Then spent the rest of the day running to the bathroom... Not sure if it was my spice-sensitive body or something else, but at least it was delicious while I was eating…

This is what it's supposed to be like in China. You lose track of time in this restaurant and simply enjoy the convivial atmosphere.

Food is good but quite expensive. Some additional fees for sauces may apply extra. Maximum of 8 people recommended. Otherwise you need to split the tables.

This hotpot place is full of flavour and beautifully decorated--it really felt like a short trip to China. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but totally justifiable for the quality. The sauce station had a great variety too. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again! 여기 정말 맛있어요. 사람이 많으니 예약 필수!

Fresh ingredients, good soup base. The extreme spicy level is not that hot for Asian(who love a very spicy kick). They are understaffed. But the staffs are very helpful.

A great hotpot restaurant with a stylish ambiance. The tomato broth is particularly noteworthy – incredibly delicious and perfectly seasoned. The only minor drawback: they only serve soft drinks at lunch. Still, a definite recommendation!

Highly recommend it. The three different flavors of hotpot are truly delicious. If you can handle spicy food, you should try all three, one of which is the spicy mala version. A very extensive selection, easily reorderable via tablet at any time. The spicy broth is really hot – my tip: use the lowest setting, as this is already hot enough.

Authentic Chinese Hot pot, they have chains in China 😁, the meats and seafood we got were fresh and presented nicely. The make your own sauce station was great and it gives you the freedom of selecting various ingredients in order to make your perfect sauce. Ordering through the tablet made it very easy to create the perfect hot pot selection. This place is not cheap if you want to go all out… but it’s worth it once in a while. I recommend all the meats and for dessert the gluttonous brown sugar rice cakes 👌

This restaurant's reviews are all 5-star reviews in exchange for drinks. They are all fake reviews. The waiter's attitude is very bad. We ate for 3 hours and the pot was boiled dry. No one came to add soup. Maybe it's because the waiter assumed that Chinese people don't tip. The staff I saw all looked impatient. This meal for two people cost nearly 100 euros. I will never come to this Xiaolongkan again in my life. It's so disappointing.

We've been here several times, and we particularly enjoyed it yesterday. The service was super friendly and quick, and we spontaneously got a nice seat in the alcove. The hotpot is very good; we always get the two vegan broths, which, after a few rounds of "garnish," are very flavorful and in no way inferior to the meat broth. I always finish with a portion of the well-seasoned broth. The garnishes are fresh and delicious, and there are enough vegetables, tofu, and mushroom options for vegetarians too. And very important: They serve freshly sliced ​​lotus roots :-), not the tasteless frozen stuff I've unfortunately found in some malatang shops. The selection of dips and sauces to accompany them is also large and varied. They offer homemade fresh noodles as a garnish, which also tasted very good. I really like the ambiance (especially the alcoves, because they offer a bit of privacy and you can even close the curtains if you want). I spent a long time in China and felt very comfortable with Chinese pop and hip-hop music in the background. I love the hot pomelo drink (with fresh pomelo pieces); I've only found it here; you hardly find it in any other restaurant. Thumbs up!

Wow, it was absolutely delicious and filling.👍 It was my first time eating one-pot food, and it was interesting just reading the menu. If you want, you can order very unusual dishes (for German tastes). Being able to order individually means that vegans, vegetarians, meat lovers, etc. can all be happy according to their preferences. 😃 The staff was very attentive and friendly. When we changed our minds at short notice, it wasn't a problem either. The restaurant is divided into different sized areas, so you can sit in a secluded spot if you want. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and lovingly designed. I also really liked that the dishes on the menu, as well as the dressings/dips/sauces/herbs... on the buffet, were labeled in German, English, and Chinese. Unfortunately, parking was quite expensive, as is common in Berlin. So, it's better to take public transport.
