It's delicious, with a very authentic Chinese flavor.

So, we were there today from about 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. We immediately got a seat for five people. The atmosphere seemed authentic and pleasant. One employee took our orders. So far, everything was fine. When the order arrived, I was delivered the wrong meal. I had ordered B42 and he had served B32. I had my friends there as witnesses 😉, and I even told them beforehand that I was ordering B42. When I pointed out that it was the wrong order, he reacted extremely rudely and condescendingly. He acted as if the error was mine. He accused me of ordering the wrong thing, even though four other friends were sitting at the table and could confirm that I had ordered something different. How stuck-up can you be? A little more customer service, please! A true genius to treat his customers like that. Send him home. The employee was well over the BMI, basically very corpulent with glasses, and probably Chinese. Probably between 20 and 35 years old. So, the guy was definitely a complete disaster. Now for the positive :) The other employee, maybe his mother or aunt, offered that if the food served wasn't tasty, they would prepare it for me. She was very nice and polite. Much nicer than the corpulent man. Luckily, the incorrect delivery was really delicious, so I was satisfied in the end and didn't insist on my original order, as it would have been a shame to waste the food. I can recommend the place because the woman who works there does a good job and the food is tasty. However, I would be very careful with that Relaxo with glasses. He makes a very bad impression, as he apparently doesn't enjoy his job either. I would have given it 5 stars, but I'm deducting 1 star because of that strange employee. Actually, I should deduct 3 stars, given how rude he was 😂. But we don't want to be that mean.

Highly recommended, the boss lady is super nice! The taste is also good, I recommend Maoxuewang and Juewei beef shreds.

I highly recommend the crispy pork belly, and for spicy food lovers, the Juewei shredded beef is a must. A delicious Chinese dish in the city! It was incredibly delicious, incredibly filling, and incredibly tasty – and the food was incredibly good. It was the best I've ever tasted.

Berlin Bamboo Garden Restaurant 1. The restaurant owner and staff are incredibly friendly and always smiling. I feel warm and respected here. 2. The menu is diverse and constantly updated. I come here often; it's truly delicious. I especially love the salt and pepper spare ribs and Jiangxi Drunkard Chicken. The flavors are authentic and leave you wanting more. 3. The restaurant is clean, quiet, and elegant. I hope Bamboo Garden's business continues to grow. If I didn't live so far away, I'd come here every day.

Nice ambience, worst Asia so far

The air-dried pork belly is truly incredibly delicious! It was kindly recommended to me. The staff is also very friendly. They gave us excellent advice about the dishes. I'll be back!

Dear people, I have known the owner and the shop for over 30 years and the other shop too. I was always satisfied with the ambience, food, friendly service and family atmosphere. Unfortunately I moved away from Steglitz, but that never stopped me from going there again. Unfortunately I go less often due to health reasons, which is a shame because unfortunately original Chinese restaurants are still rare to find in Berlin. So enough has been said, I will stop by again in the next few days and look forward to the food and the owners, who are always friendly and accommodating.

Don't be fooled: The ambiance isn't a "Chinese palace decorated with dragons," but rather sterile and sober. However, the special Sichuan menu with three levels of spiciness, the "regular" dinner menu, and an extensive daily special at reduced prices at lunchtime are all worth it. There were five of us and we ordered five different dishes from the "regular" menu: beef and pork chop dishes with bamboo shoots/morels, shrimp with fried noodles, and chicken with vegetables. All the dishes were delicious, with generous portions on the platters and attentive service. It wasn't our first visit there either. We'd been there a few times before and noticed that many Chinese customers often dine there. That speaks volumes about their cuisine. In any case, we were very satisfied and would love to come back soon!

The boss is very attentive and cooks very carefully. I especially recommend the fried yam with black fungus, which is fresh and crisp. There are a lot of shrimps and tripe in the maoxuewang, and the ingredients are very substantial, but the taste is more numb, not too spicy and a little salty. The salt and pepper spareribs are delicious, and the husband and wife lung slices are not the same as the side dishes you imagined, mainly beef and tripe.

Das Essen war nicht besonders lecker, die Sauerscharfsuppe war scharf aber wässrig ohne feste Einlage. Die Ente Kross war trocken,hart und wenig Fleisch. Insgesamt weniger empfehlenswert.

The food has tasted good for years, no question. The service has been bad lately. It just takes too long for the order to be taken (>10 minutes) and then the food to arrive, another 40 minutes. I don't accept the argument that the store is full; then more staff will have to be employed, which could probably reduce profits. It was also noticed that there have been no cash invoices for some time. Everyone can decide for themselves whether this is due to the defective cash register.

My Chinese friend took me here and mentioned this was her fave CN restaurant in Berlin and I completely got why. Everything we ordered tasted incredible and the portion sizes were really solid for the price! The mapo tofu could have done with a tad more spice, but besides that genuinely would go back and order everything we had right away once more!

I think we have enough experience with dining out - especially Chinese restaurants - to realize that this experience was borderline. The appetizer platter consisted exclusively of ready-made products, the soups had no taste whatsoever, and you literally had to look for the noodles in the glass noodle soup. The “friendly employee” said: “They are glass noodles, you can’t see them.” What nonsense! The portion sizes were extremely small and the advertised wok vegetables were hardly available. We have never had such bad Chinese food in Berlin and were really disappointed that evening. In short: If you want to eat well, you should go somewhere else.

Ich denke wir haben mit Restaurantbesuchen genügend Erfahrung (Chinarestaurant) um feststellen zu dürfen dass, dieses Erlebnis grenzwertig war. Die Vorspeisenplatte bestand ausschließlich aus Fertigprodukten. Die Suppen waren inhaltslos , in der Glasnudelsuppe musste man suchen. Der "freundliche Mitarbeiter" meinte "Es sind Glasnudeln, die sehe man ja nicht" Was für ein Schwachsinn!! Die Portionsgröße war mehr als überschaubar, das angepriesene Wok Gemüse war minimal vorhanden. Kurz und Gut. Wer gut Essen will geht woanders hin.

Gestern kam ich mit einem Freund in dieses Restaurant zum Essen, aber die Erfahrung war extrem schlecht! Wire warteten 30 Minutes vor der Tür, obwohl währenddessen Gäste gegangen sind und freie Tische verfügbar waren. Der Kellner weigerte sich jedoch einfach, uns einen Platz anzubieten und wiederholte immer wieder „Keine Plätze“. Die Haltung des Besitzerins und ihres Sohnes war extrem arrogant, ohne jegliche Entschuldigung, nicht einmal die grundlegende Höflichkeit wurde gezeigt. Die Tür hängen, um uns allen Zeit zu sparen! This place has been on my list of Chinese places for a while. Restaurants that are still worth trying in Berlin. I ordered my favorite Szechuan dish and was pleasantly surprised. It was particularly cleverly seasoned with a mixture of spices that I can't exactly identify. The spiciness was just right for me and there were occasional flavor kicks from vegetables that were well measured. A huge portion of it, the rest of which I was happy to wrap up. The whole thing for €17 + €4.10 for a dark wheat (which for me always goes well with relatively spicy Szechuan dishes). Pleasantly a place without pseudo-Chinese kitsch. I will be happy to come back and put it in my top 5 Chinese restaurants in Berlin.

Very nice, clean daily menu not expensive and you get an appretiv after your meal

The dishes are quite unique, and it is considered a pioneering initiative in Berlin where it is served in a stir-fry restaurant. The highlights are the sweet and slightly numb eggplant, the crispy pickled cabbage and pickled peppers in the pot, and the potted pork that strives to be closer to authenticity. It can be seen that the chef has certain skills in cooking and selecting ingredients. The prices are fair and affordable, and the lady boss is gentle and friendly. It has been a long time since we encountered such a delightful restaurant in Berlin.

OMG! Best Chinese restaurant EVER!!!!!!! As same as I ate in Sichuan China

I was initially a bit disappointed with the atmosphere. It's like a train station restaurant. Aaaber: we received a very friendly welcome and decided on a dish of the day. Each daily dish is served with either a sweet and sour soup or a spring roll. We had 3x crispy duck with various delicious side dishes. Because I like eating bean sprouts so much, I have them Supplement replaced. The duck was really crispy and my bean sprouts were crunchy and delicious! All this at reasonable prices! The three of us paid less than 50 euros! We will definitely go here again.

The store is very old-school, but the food is delicious. The boss hired a new chef to cook, and the menu includes pure Chinese food and foreign fusion dishes. The sauced pork elbow and bacon are both delicious. The tea is made from tea leaves, and the vegetables are fried from lard residue. It’s so fragrant🥹

Mega mega mega good. Next time I would like wok vegetables - all you can eat - not only that the food was really really good, but also that the service was charming. Tried to cook the wok vegetables today, of course it was a complete miss, but it was edible. After dozens of attempts to find something outstanding Chinese - outside of haute Chinese cuisine - exactly the hit in Berlin. Well, tastes can vary. My/our favorite Chinese, even before Mr. Wu, but he comes right after.

You definitely have to visit it. Here you can fully experience the hospitality of the Chinese.

Very unfriendly service. We were at this restaurant on Sunday and wanted to have a quick lunch. The food was OK, but the sauce was transparent and didn't look like the usual sweet and sour sauce. The waiter was rude and when we asked for chopsticks he rolled his eyes. Then he just brought a pair of chopsticks with no packaging and no napkin. He simply handed it to one of us. When we then asked for chopsticks for everyone, he rolled his eyes again in annoyance and walked away. When paying, he didn't even try to give change, and only after a meaningful look from everyone at the table did he realize that we didn't want to tip for such service. I cannot recommend this place.

Traditional, freshly prepared and very clean location

Unfortunately, we didn't eat delicious food this year and the new waiter wasn't half as attentive. It was a disappointment, we had lunch here every year for 10 years.

We always get takeaway food from Bamboo. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. They regularly know what you ordered last time. The food is also traditionally Chinese delicious. There seem to be a lot of regulars there. It was a pleasure.

Fast, friendly service and the food is excellent

I asked there if I could wash my hands, which I was granted. When my hands were full of soap, the stream of water suddenly stopped. In order not to touch the faucet and because I thought the water outside had been turned off, I called out. An employee turned the tap back on for me. A minute later a staff member came into the toilet and turned the faucet off again and said I was done and to leave. One of my hands was clearly still full of soap, so I said I needed another minute. An employee came in and threatened to call the police. I hurried. The staff became very loud and shouted at me. The man also said an insulting word to me.

I've never eaten so badly. The sour-spicy soup flowed slimy from the spoon, and the glutamate taste was correspondingly good. The fresh wok vegetables were just as drowned, the duck was more than manageable. Couldn't eat either, never again.

Auf der Suche nach einem Abendessen und Appetit auf asiatische Küche, hier zufällig "gelandet". Alles in Allem war es sehr gut, freundliche und nette Bedienung, Ambiente angenehm und das Essen wurde schnell und schmackhaft serviert. Die Speisekarte bietet alles auch für Vegetarier gibt es eine sehr gute Auswahl Preisleistungsverhältnis ist für Berliner Verhältnisse gut bis sehr gut.

( Hierzulande viel zu wenig beachtet : der lange Arm der Partei inzwischen in fast alle chinesischen Auslands - Communities ) Nach Jahrzehnten das letzte China - Restaurant auch endgültig von der Liste - lieber selber machen und / oder zu angenehmeren Angeboten wechseln , z. B. zu den immer viel freundlicheren indischen Restaurants .

Für ein Chinese hat nichts nach chinesisch geschmeckt ,sehr enttäuscht.

Gestern Abend wollten wir nett im Bambus essen Wir bestellten zwei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptgänge Währe eins der Gerichte nicht das was wir erwartet haben könnten wir damit umgehen Aber alle vier Gerichte dermaßen schlecht zuzubereiten und auch noch dem Gast dreist zu servieren grenzt schon an Unverschämtheit Jeder Asia Imbiss mit einem Koch der noch vor vier Wochen Blumen verkauft hat bietet besseres Essen an kann nur jedem empfehlen sich einem Besuch gut zu überlegen Ps.habe selbst chinesische Wurzeln bin also bestimmt in der Lage die Qualität von chinesischen Essen einzuschätzen.

War seit langer Zeit Mal wieder im Bambus und bestellte mir Ente kross mit Vorsuppe der Kellner nett und zuvorkommend und das Essen kam Recht zûgig was mir sehr entgegend kam .da ich hungrig war das Essen war vorzüglich und gut abgeschmeckt die 🦆 sehr zart ein Gedicht immer wieder gerne werde ich dort vorbeischauen und mich auf die Terrasse setzen kann ich nur empfehlen

2mal mal das Restaurant getestet. Einmal vor Ort und einmal als Lieferservice. Normalerweise wäre es direkt beim ersten Mal durchgefallen, aber beim 2. Mal vom Lieferdienst konnten wir dieses nicht zuordnen und wir haben es erneut getestet. Das Essen war weder qualitativ in Ordnung. Frisch und authentisch war es auch nicht. Als wir uns beschwert haben, antwortete man uns: "Das ist mir egal, bewertet mich halt schlecht, ich habe genug Kundschaft!" Es gibt sehr viel bessere Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung! Nie wieder! Danke für nix!

Tasty dishes & great service. My favorite Chinese restaurant in the area.

Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Das ist Essen ist aber leider ziemlich fad. Gewürze Fehlanzeige, schmeckt mehr deutsch als asiatisch. Da gibt es zahlreiche bessere asiatische Restaurants in der Umgebung.

Seit Jahrzehnten sind wir immer wieder da und es war immer toll.

Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr toll. Die Inneneinrichtung stimmt und das Essen ist einfach nur ein tolles Erlebniss. Das Personal ist sehr höfflich und nett, die Cheffin kellnert auch manchmal mit. Allem in allem ein "Super" Restaurant, ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren früher schon gerne hier essen und es ist nach wie vor alles in Ordnung. Es schmeckt immer noch gut. Und Hunde dürfen auch mit rein.
