Pong's China-Restaurant in Berlin

The service is particularly noteworthy. We were here at lunchtime today on a public holiday and the restaurant was full. We received a friendly greeting at the door and asked to come back in 15 minutes. When we came back, a table was immediately freed and cleaned for us, the menus brought and our orders taken. Although all the tables were occupied, after half an hour we had delicious and beautifully presented dishes on the table. All the staff were friendly and attentive. They asked us from time to time if everything was OK and we included a plum wine on the house with the bill. The prices at Pongs are cheaper than in comparable restaurants. Highly recommended.

We've been here many times. In summer, it's lovely to sit under the trees with a view of the Havel River and the ferry. The food is good, and the service is always friendly and attentive. You can always find a parking space in the restaurant parking lot.

We reserved a table at short notice by phone and decided to dine inside by the window overlooking the Havel River. The service was friendly and pleasant, and we enjoyed the food.

Nice place to eat. Friendly staff. Only the Pong's Chicken Cross dish is awful. They actually served molded meat. That's an absolute no-go for a restaurant. Not even worth a star. I don't go to a restaurant to eat such low-quality meat, if that's what it was. Pongs, what you're serving is very, very bad. Worse than your standard vegetables. I've lost my appetite. Improve!

Very nice atmosphere and a great location (right on the lake next to the ferry), and very attentive staff. Last time, however, we didn't sit down at all; we just ordered takeout and waited outside because we were fishing nearby. The preparation (egg rice) took barely a cigarette's length. Super quick, uncomplicated, and delicious! We'll definitely be back soon!

First, the positive: The location is, of course, fantastic! The staff is friendly, attentive, and fast. The portions are large. And I mean, really large! The prices are very reasonable. The spring roll was hot, but the egg-fried rice was unfortunately only lukewarm. It arrived rather gray, which was due to the egg being compacted at the bottom of the plate and the lack of both vegetables and any kind of seasoning. The latter applies to both dishes. While there is a menagerie of salt, soy sauce, and sambal oelk on the table, I find it unpleasant when you have to use everything to add flavor. The chef's signature is missing, so to speak, and there's no recognition factor.

The restaurant's location and the view from some of the tables are the main reasons to visit. The service is good, and the food is comparable to that of an average Chinese restaurant.

A nice restaurant in itself. But there are four of us. Everyone ordered an appetizer at the same time. Three got their starter and ate it. The fourth continues to wait despite asking. That was unpleasant. After I politely asked that the main courses be served at the same time, the waiter said I was just out of luck. I'm sure he meant it humorously. It was also not possible to serve the main course at the same time; three ate and the fourth had to wait again. Parallel eating wasn't really an option. It's a shame actually.

So I'm so excited. You can say that your wishes were read from your eyes. I could never finish my questions and the answer came 😂😂 just great.

We love this restaurant. Great location, directly on the Havel. Then why only 4 stars for the ambience? The car ferry is also right next to it. It doesn't bother us at all, but we have to struggle with the fact that we constantly have car noises and some people don't turn off the engine or the loud music while driving. This can be annoying, hence no 5 stars. But otherwise, starting with the extremely friendly service and the fantastic food (the best Chinese restaurant in this area) it absolutely deserves 5 stars. I would recommend it without reservations

Nice restaurant with a great hidden location right at the ferry pier. Parking is relatively easy. Main course priced between €15 and €25. We just waited quite a long time for service.

So today on Sunday it was a disaster, 30 minutes until someone came and brought a card. Then 1 hour and 30 minutes until the food finally came. We and other guests were annoyed. The neighboring table left after they asked 3 times for the bill have? Home without paying. The food was delicious as always, prices OK but the service🥱... better service again please

The service is probably overwhelmed or understaffed. The menu was brought to us, but that was it. After a long wait, we finally left. A pity.

The duck crispy in curry sauce was a bit disappointing. You may need to order original Chinese food here as per the chef's recommendation to get a better result. Maybe next time 😁

Average food with good service. The menu is simply too extensive to really prepare a high quality meal. But it is sufficient for village life. Very family atmosphere and the seating area by the water and the ferry is very idyllic.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf die Havel. Im Sommer kann man draußen sitzen. Das Essen schmeckt immer sehr gut und die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Unseren Kindern gefällt und schmeckt es auch gut. Am Ende bekommen sie sogar einen Lolli geschenkt. Wir werden wieder kommen. :-) 24.12.2023 Heute haben wir unser Weihnachtsessen bei Pong's genossen. Wir hatten eine Peking-Ente für 4 Personen vorbestellt (Vorbestellung 2 Wochen!) und diese war super köstlich. Als Vorspeise gab es Sauer-Scharf-Suppe. Anschließend gab es die knusprige Entenhaut. Der Hauptgang war die sehr zart gekochte Ente mit Gemüse und Austernsauce. Das Essen wurde abgerundet mit gebackener Banane mit Vanilleeis. Der Service war wie immer sehr gut. Das war sicherlich nicht unsere letzte Peking-Ente. :)

Pongs gibt´s schon ewig und war vor langer Zeit mal sehr gut. Geblieben ist die tolle Lage. Das Essen selbst ist weiterhin schmackhaft, hat aber auch etwas nachgelassen. Dafür haben sich die Preise ordentlich gesteigert bei inzwischen eindeutig kleineren Portionen. Und innerhalb der Gerichte wird der Fleischanteil immer kleiner. Insgesamt nicht mehr wirklich empfehlenswert, insbesondere dann nicht, wenn man gesättigt nach Hause gehen möchte.

Obwohl es recht voll war, kamen die Bedienung und das Essen zügig.

Direkt an der Autofähre Tegelort eines der wenigen Restaurants, die es noch in diesem Ortsteil gibt. Tolle Lage an der Havel mit Gartenplätzen Frühling bis Herbst. Diverse Einzelgerichte sehr schmackhaft- keine Enheitssoße. Besonders hübsche passende Enzelstövchen zum Warmhalten der Pfannengerichte. Keine üblichen Preiserhöhung zu vermelden!

Alteingesessenes asiatisches Restaurant. Beim Ambiente und auch im allgemeinen ist hier die Zeit stehen geblieben. Service sehr nett und aufmerksam. Essen war in Ordnung. Hervorzuheben ist die Lage am Wasser bzw an der Fähre.

Das Essen schmeckt, die Preise wurden erhöht was ja heutzutage normal ist. Gleichzeitig die Portionen zu verkleinern ist vielleicht nicht mehr ganz so normal. Man nimmt dann auch noch beim bezahlen 2€ zusätzlich für eine zweite Portionen Reis was unverschämt ist. Wir reden hier von Cent Beträgen..... Jetzt hat man es tatsächlich geschafft uns nach vielen Jahren als Gäste loszuwerden.

Essen war lecker. Der Service sehr freundlich. Leider kam ein Essen falsch an unseren Tisch, was aber sofort korrigiert wurde. Durch die Vielzahl der Gäste hatte man nur leider zum eigentlich bestellten Essen den Teller nicht mitgebracht. Alles in allem hatten wir trotzdem ein sehr angenehmes und gut schmeckendes Essen.

Habe am Feiertag kurzfristig online reserviert, hat gut funktioniert. Das Essen ist von guter Qualität und schmeckt lecker, das Ambiente ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber stimmig. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Alteingesessenes Restaurant direkt am Wasser. Klassisches China Restaurant was Gerichte und Ambiente betrifft, was wir sehr mögen.

An der Havel gelegen, speisen mit Blick auf Berlins einzige Autofähre, Essen ist typisch und sehr gut, ein Ausflug der sich immer lohnt.

Immer ein kleines Abenteuer bei Mr Pong, mit der Fähre hin und man kann wunderbar an der Havel chillen, wer Dim Sungs mag ist hier richtig, meine Mama hatte fantastische Ente kross mit sehr leckerer Soße, mein Bratreis mit Garnelen war leider kalt und hatte viel zu wenig Gemüse, das hatte ich hier schon besser. Wir mussten immer länger auf die Bedienung warten, aber wir hatten ja auch Zeit

Normales chinesisches Restaurant wie in den 90‘er Jahren, mit Heizplatte usw. Schön gelegen am See ( nur ein Weg dazwischen ) Essen ist in Ordnung und Preise sind im normalen Bereich. Durchschnittliche 4 Sterne

Nach 30 Minuten war keine Bestellung aufgenommen. Lag sicherlich am fehlenden Personal, aber dann darf ich nicht den ganzen Platz vor dem Restaurant öffnen.

Tolles Essen, super Preise, man fühlt sich hier sehr wohl.

Süßes China-Restaurant direkt am Wasser. Hat man einen Tisch am Fenster (oder ist das Wetter schön und man kann draußen sitzen), kann man schön auf's Wasser gucken. Essen war lecker! Service ok, aber nicht übermäßig gut (meine erbetenen Stäbchen wurden vergessen mir zu bringen und es wurde abgeräumt, obwohl noch nicht alle fertig mit essen waren). Preis-Leistung ok.

Sehr lecker gegessen. Die Ente ist wirklich knusprig. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Angenehme Atmosphäre im Wintergarten mit schöner Aussicht auf die Havel.

Mega freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Leere Teller werden gleich weggeräumt. Hier gibt es die knusprigste Ente Berlins.

Es war absolut fantastisch, das Essen sehr sehr lecker und frisch, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Ambiente und die Aussicht aufs Wasser ist auch sehr schön ....jederzeit wieder.

Ich hatte vor Kurzem das Vergnügen, das Pong’s China Restaurant zu besuchen und kann ohne zu zögern sagen, dass es ein herausragendes kulinarisches Erlebnis war. Die Vielfalt und Qualität der Gerichte waren beeindruckend. Jedes Gericht war sorgfältig zubereitet, voller Geschmack und frischer Zutaten. Die traditionellen chinesischen Aromen kamen perfekt zur Geltung, und auch die Präsentation der Speisen war ästhetisch ansprechend. Das Personal war äußerst zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und freundlich. Sie gaben uns Empfehlungen und standen jederzeit bereit, um unsere Fragen zu beantworten. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war angenehm und einladend. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung und die ruhige Stimmung schufen ein angenehmes Ambiente für ein entspanntes Essen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die schnelle und effiziente Bedienung. Unsere Bestellungen kamen prompt, und wir mussten nicht lange auf unsere Speisen warten. Alles in allem war der Besuch im Restaurant Pong’s eine fantastische Erfahrung. Ich kann es jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der authentische chinesische Küche in einer herzlichen und einladenden Umgebung genießen möchte. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für dieses großartige kulinarische Erlebnis. Ich freue mich schon darauf, bald wiederzukommen!

Wir waren mit 10 Leuten dort Essen. Wir hatten Vorspeisen, reichlich Getränke, Hauptgänge und Desserts und haben pro Person etwa 26 Euro bezahlt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Portionsgrößen reichlich. Service war freundlich, aber aufgrund der vielen Leute ging immer mal etwas unter. Ist aber OK. Der Aussenbereich könnte bei der Lage wirklich sehr schön sein, leider wird hier etwas Potential verschenkt. Innen ist es sehr kompakt und nicht überladen mit Decko vollgestopft. Definitiv ein geschmacklicher Besuch Wert

Schön gelegen am Fährübergang nach Spandau lohnt es sich im Pong von guter chinesischen Küche verwöhnen zu lassen. Sehr nettes, aufmerksames und dezentes Personal mit echtem chinesischen Flair. Das wichtigste ist natürlich die kontinuierliche Qualität des Essens. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
