When the sushi bar reopened over a year ago, I was very excited. But unfortunately the service has deteriorated greatly. Often when I ordered something to take away, they either forgot to add the sauce or they had a different sushi. The last time I ordered, the cucumber peel was in the sushi instead of the cucumber. Some of the tables are also glued. It's a shame that ShoGaNai has dropped in quality. The service staff is always very friendly and always has a smile on their face.

*UPDATE:* Unfortunately, the sushi often falls apart very quickly and something is often mixed up or even forgotten. The last time we ordered we even had cucumber peel (more peel like pulp) in the sushi in addition to tuna. From my/our point of view, things have slowed down a bit in the last few months and that's why we're not here as often anymore. ____ The SHŌ GA NAI has conquered our sushi hearts straight away! The friendly staff welcomes every guest with a warm smile and always makes sure that nothing is missing. The food is delicious! The lovingly prepared sushi creations are not only visually appealing, but also taste great across the board. Fresh ingredients and creative combinations make each piece a little masterpiece. The atmosphere at SHŌ GA NAI is warm, modern and inviting. The tasteful ambience offers the perfect setting for a relaxed meal with friends or a romantic evening for two. In short: SHŌ GA NAI is one of our favorite sushi restaurants in Berlin. Friendliness and quality are very important here. We can't wait to come back soon!

The sushi on site is really delicious and very nicely presented. The service is also very friendly. You are served quickly and have a large selection of dishes. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but the large windows don't really shield you from the street.

This would be 4 stars in Berlin I guess. The sushi was average and to be honest, the shrimp Maki and tuna did not taste the freshest. I also had stomach pains afterwards. My beer glass was very dirty and needed to be sent back. I don't understand why this place has such rave reviews.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant with the family and I can highly recommend it. The ratio of rice and fish in the nigiri is excellent and the decoration is always very attractive (sushi for two people). Everything is fresh and delicious and the service is very accommodating. This restaurant is truly a gem in Adlershof.

This is a really good sushi bar. We ate two very fresh and delicious bowls. They are a real taste experience. And the price can't be beat. Plus a nice ambience and wonderful views of the Johannisthal landscape park. Go and see for yourself.

The only thing that could make the menu better would be a bowl with chicken or other vegetables in case there are people who don't like fish.

Seeing the other reviews makes me wonder if we just had a bad day. The food was good, but I didn't think it was particularly great. The drinks were great. Unfortunately the service wasn't good at all. We had reserved for 4 and when we arrived we were told to wait for a colleague. The store was almost empty and there was only one table for four that was reserved. Nevertheless, we were left standing in the entrance in our winter jackets for minutes until we just sat down at the table on our own. Except for the first order, no one was really interested in us. No request for drinks, we actually wanted to have dessert but they were never actually there and so we lost interest too. We asked to pack some of the food. Then all the dirty dishes (including this food) were simply left at the next table and then they were all gone again. After that we didn't want to take it with us anymore. There was nothing going on and yet no one managed to clear away the mess (or at least remove it in front of the guests) and serve us. We were very disappointed.

Very nice sushi, the staff really tries to make everything look beautiful and appetizing! The cocktails are also awesome, really recommend! There were only a few appetizers, would have lived a sharing platter or something to begin with.

Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Sushi Restaurant. Das Essen war stets mit Liebe zum Detail angerichtet und schmeckte hervorragend. Das einzige Problem was wir als nicht besonders Sushi erfahrene hatten, war das es keine Bilder zu den verschiedenen Speisen in der Karte gab. Das Personal hat uns aber sehr freundlich bei der Wahl unterstützt.

Wieso wir so komplett andere Erfahrungen sammeln mussten im Gegensatz zu allen anderen hier verstehe ich nicht. Waren sonntags abends hier zu viert essen. Ich meine, die Rezensionen sprechen für sich also wollten wir es mal probieren. Es hat immer wieder sehr lange gedauert bis die Getränke serviert wurden, wir hatten alle andere Gerichte und keins hat uns wirklich überzeugt (2x Sushi, 2x Bowls). Die Vorspeise kam uns roh vor. Wenn man ein neues Getränk bestellen wollte, musste man aufstehen und einen Kollegen bitten, denn es hat sich keiner um unseren Tisch gekümmert obwohl irgendwann keine anderen Gäste mehr vor Ort waren. Dreckiges Geschirr wurde zwar abgeräumt, aber einfach offen auf der Bar platziert. Es sah einfach unhygienisch aus, da standen locker 15-20 verklebte Gläser.. und es türmten sich noch welche hinter der Bar. Als die nur halb gegessenen Gerichte endlich abgeräumt wurden, meinte ich, dass ich (weil ich noch sehr viel übrig hatte), es auch mit nach Hause nehmen würde. Nach ein paar Minuten sah ich, dass der Mitarbeiter die Teller und Bowls nur auf dem Nachbartisch abgestellt und nicht in die Küche gebracht hat. Da stand dann auch meine Bowl und trocknete ein. Wir zahlten, mein Essen wurde mir nicht eingepackt und mitgegeben (hätte ich zu dem Zeitpunkt auch nicht mehr mitgenommen). Anfangs noch Lust auf Dessert gehabt, aber da uns niemand wirklich an dem Abend bedient hat, haben wir es sein lassen. Zur Info: es waren genug Mitarbeiter vor Ort. Sie hatten sogar so viel Zeit, um alle gemeinsam draußen raus (rauchen?) zu gehen, sodass dann gar kein Mitarbeiter mehr da war. Zu allem Übel hat meine Schwester am nächsten Tag eine Lebensmittelvergiftung bekommen (sie aß Misosuppe, Sushi, Edamame). Sonst wären es insgesamt vielleicht noch 2 Sterne fürs Ambiente geworden. So war es nach ewiger Zeit mal wieder ein richtiger Flop.

Essen sehr lecker, Bedienung gut und freundlich, Ambiente angenehm.... Es riecht nur wie in einer Frittenbude. Deswegen ein Punkt Abzug.

Mein Frau und ich haben spontan nach einem Sushi Restaurant gesucht und sind zum Glück im sho ga nai gelandet. Das Sushi hat wirklich gut geschmeckt. Die Getränke waren auch sehr lecker. Ich glaube wir hatten den Haustee.

Das Essen wurde super schön angerichtet und war mehr als lecker.. alles super frisch.. Die selbst hergestellten Säfte sind ein Genuss.. wir kommen gerne wieder..

Leute weniger bestellen, lieber vor Ort essen. Sehr schönes Lokal mit mega leckerem Essen und freundlichem Service. Werden wir auf jeden Fall wiederholen.

Ich war bereits 2x da, jeweils ohne Reservierung und es gab genug Plätze. Sushi ist sehr lecker und auch super süß angerichtet, da gibt man sich sehr viele Mühe. Der Algensalat ist auch lecker. Für alle die kein Sushi essen sind die Vorspeisen super. Edamame, Gyoza, Sommerrollen. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und frisch zubereitet. Viele Kunden haben auch Sachen zum Mitnehmen bestellt in der Zeit, wo wir da waren. Wir haben ungefähr pro Person und einem Gericht 20 Euro bezahlt, danach waren wir satt.

Wir sind den Sternen gefolgt. Bei so vielen top Rezensionen muss doch etwas dran sein. Und ja, 100 Punkte, 5 von 5 Sternen, fürs Auge und für den Genuß.. keine Abzüge. Ganz großes Kino!

Unauffällig, klein aber OHO! Das Sushi (inside-out und Tempura-Rollen) sowie die Bowls (Lachs, Thunfisch) waren appetitlich angerichtet und haben toll geschmeckt. Genauso konnten die alkoholischen und nicht-alkoholischen Getränke mithalten. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aufmerksam und ging zügig. Kartenzahlung ist möglich. Reservierung online problemlos. Es gibt einen Punkt Abzug beim Ambiente, weil ich es frisch/ kühl im Restaurant fand. Ich komme trotzdem sehr gerne wieder! Daher 5/ 5 Sternen!

Das beste asiatische Restaurant wo ich je gegessen habe super Bedienung und extrem leckeres und schönes Essen,ich empfehle jeden das Mochi Eis als Nachspeise.
