Sehr süßes, indisches Restaurant. Nette Angestellte, Essen super lecker. Kann ich empfehlen.

Das Essen sah optisch wirklich gut aus, war bei der Servierung aber leider eher lauwarm. Auch geschmacklich hat es einen nicht wirklich umgehauen – da hatten wir uns bei den indischen Gerichten etwas mehr Würze und Pep erhofft. Service und Ambiente waren insgesamt okay, sodass es für solide drei Sterne reicht.

Das erste Mal in der Sternschanze und gleich Glück mit dem Mittagessen gehabt. Einfach Lecker.

Super leckeres, vegan/vegetarisches Essen. Schneller und freundlicher Service. Faire Preise. Das merke ich mir für den nächsten Hamburger Besuch.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Portionen völlig ausreichend um satt zu werden. Preis/ Leistung absolut top. Das Ambiente ist sehr "Rustikal". Wem Geschmack wichtiger ist als die Inneneinrichtung ist hier absolut richtig!

Das Essen ist großartig. Der Geschmack, wie es angerichtet ist, einfach super. Preislich moderat, und Menge mehr als reichlich. Sehr empfehlenswert. Komme gerne wieder. Weiter so.

Ich habe ein sehr schmackhaftes Lammgericht gegessen und einen Kräuterlassi getrunken, beides empfehlenswert. Nur leider war das Öl des dazubestellten Naan zu stark erhitzt und daher nicht genießbar.

Das beste Mango-Lassi, das ich je getrunken habe! Das Restaurant wirkt sehr modern und frisch. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Qualität des Essens ausgezeichnet 👌

Samma 2 EURO 50 für ein EINZELNES Papadam? Kosten was, 15 Cent? Sonst geht’s euch gut?

Ich war seit so so langer Zeit endlich wieder einmal im Shikara. Essen (auch noch 2x vegetarisch für die Kids zu Hause mitgenommen) waren Mega Mega lecker. Danke für den erstklassigen Service und die netten Gespräche

Sehr gutes indisches Essen und trinken.

Wir wollten eigentlich in den Falaffelstern, aber die hatten schon zu, also sind wir zufällig hier gelandet: ein kleines indisches Restaurant/Imbiss, sah ganz gut aus alles, allerdings roch es sehr stark nach Knoblauch, aber so ist das eben, wenn auf relativ engem Raum asiatisch gekocht wird. Personal war freundlich, die Preise noch okay, aber nicht super billig, dafür hat das Essen richtig gut geschmeckt. Fazit: Authentischer Laden. Ich denke, wir werden wiederkommen. 4 ehrliche Sterne vergebe ich fürs Shikara.

Ich komme definitiv wieder, denn eine Freundin und ich hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit dort: sehr gutes Essen, sehr sympathischer Service in gemütlichem Ambiente.

Lebensmittel von schlechter Qualität und teuer

Es ist ein sehr kleiner aber gemütlicher Imbiss. Das Essen "Butter Chicken" mit Reis war ein Gedicht. Auch der Mango Lassi war großartig. Habe noch nie einen so guten Lassi getrunken. Er war mit Gewürzen und nicht so süß wie die anderen Lassis die man kennt. Trotzdem kam die Mango als Frucht gut durch. Was wirklich sehr störend war, waren die kleinen Fliegen, besonders als wir das Ballon Brot mit Knoblauch erhielten waren die Fliegen außer Rand und Band. Die Toilette ist leider auch etwas klein und kalt gewesen. Daher gibt es von mir für das Ambiente nur 4 von 5 Sternen.

The food was a 10/10, especially the tikka curry and the sauce that came with it. The music inside was a bit loud and the prices were a bit high. The Neotaste app is accepted.

At the shikara we tried a mixture of intense, fresh and quality flavours. The vegetable pakora is very good. We'll be back!

Small shop, nicely decorated. The staff were a bit haphazard. The food came quickly. Unfortunately, unlike other reviewers, I personally don't think the value for money is good. Average vegetarian korma, a single raisin in it, no nuts, no complexity, bland. Just under €15 (!!!) The shop is cramped, and the huge dog of the customer next to me was happily lapping up its water and shaking itself out right next to me. Not so appetizing. The mango lassi was good. I definitely won't be back.

Very good food. You order in front but they bring the food to your table. The employees are friendly and the food is very good. Very good Cuantity, quality price relation.

I ordered the Butter chicken with a 20% reduced price. When the food came I was shocked... the portion was so small that is impossible to fill up an adult's belly. It's not even half of a normal portion compare to any other Indian restaurant in town. So the price was actually not reduced at all... it's a scam!! Taste was so-so, not authentic, too sweet, never again!

The Indian restaurant Shikara impresses with authentic food and a great atmosphere. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendly and personable service from Melissa. With her warm manner, she ensures excellent service and makes the visit a real experience. Absolutely recommended!

The small Indian restaurant was a very pleasant discovery for me. Not only because I hardly ever ate here anywhere else, but also because I had a very long and nice chat with the owner about India.

This is by far my favorite of all Indian restaurants in Hamburg. I've been there many times for lunch or dinner. The food is very good and the staff is friendly and attentive.

I found this small and fine Indian restaurant in the Schanzenviertel by chance and tried it out straight away. The food tasted delicious, it was freshly prepared and seasoned well, but not too hot. I had Chicken Tikka and can fully recommend it. The employees are very friendly. It's a shame that there isn't this restaurant where I live.

Small, cozy Indian restaurant with a clear menu. The curries etc. are prepared quickly and freshly, the salad dressing and dips seem to be more ready-made products. Order and drink selection at the counter, then served at your seat. Fair prices for the portions.

I haven't had such good curry in a long time. I can only recommend the lamb jalfrezi! I'll definitely be back 😮‍💨

We were visiting Hamburg over Pentecost and discovered or smelled the Shikara while exploring the ski jump. My best friend was attracted to the scents right from the start and her nose didn't disappoint. The great value for money, cozy atmosphere, totally warm but not intrusive service and leaving the restaurant at the end with a well-filled stomach and nice conversations are all reasons to give this place 5 stars. I can't report any ready-made food or poor preparation - the ingredients were fresh and the dish was seasoned authentically Indian.

Food ok, but won't eat there again. Not particularly clean despite renovation. Toilet next to kitchen and storing food. Real disaster! I was really disgusted. Toilet could also be cleaner.

We were here last night and we really enjoyed it. Very nice staff and the food was tasty too. Very large selection of food. We had daal. On the menu, the meat dishes are declared Halal - which is great for Muslims.

Small but awesome. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very small and therefore only offers a few seats, but it is lovingly and neatly furnished. You can get good, simple Indian dishes here, freshly prepared in front of the guests for consumption on site or to take away. In terms of taste, the food was really good, fresh and the portions were quite large. The men at the stove were very friendly despite the high number of guests.
