There simply can't be enough stars for this place, it's simply MAGICAL!!! Everything here is made with love and passion. The food is an absolute dream, no matter what you order, it's an absolute work of art! Every drink tastes amazing and is absolutely creative! The staff are so warm and accommodating and the service is simply top-notch! No matter how busy it is, they never seem stressed and always have kind words ready and take the time to make small talk with the guests! The ambience is inviting and radiates warmth. Everything here is made with love! Our absolute favorite in Nuremberg and highly recommended! Thank you so much for making every visit unforgettable!

I can't understand the positive reviews! The rice smelled bad. the juje fillet supposed to be marinated with Safran and lemon but it had a lot of spice which haven't been mentioned in the Menu! I won't eat there again👎🏻

Delicious food and the staff is super, super friendly! And you can eat gluten-free here. I have celiac disease and react even to minor contamination, but I had no complaints after my visit. The kitchen takes great care to ensure there's no contamination. Important: mention that you have celiac disease when ordering. :)

A beautiful restaurant in Nuremberg's Südstadt district. It's lovingly decorated, so you'll want to linger there. The food I've had has always been spot-on and incredibly delicious. The service staff is also friendly, helps you find the right meal for you, and explains the dishes very clearly. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience!

Bei Shekamu ist es immer wundervoll! Sowohl von der Leichtigkeit, wie man reserviert über die herzliche Begrüßung, dann zu den leckeren und großzügigen Gerichten bis zum warmen „auf Wiedersehen“! Alles ist immer ein Traum! Sehr eingespieltes und aufmerksames Team und super sauber vor Ort. Einer meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Nürnberg. Vom Publikum findet man auch von klein bis groß alle. Man fühlt sich vor Ort sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben.

DO NOT forget that the place needs a reservation. We were there at Persian new year’s night and had no trouble booking 2 days before. So just visit their website and book a table for the duration you’d like. The staff are ALL nice and the atmosphere is just cozy, cool, VERY welcoming and friendly. We ordered 2 Koobide Kabab with rice and Tahdig which was around 18€ each, also one Salad Shirazi 4,5€, Kashke Bademjan ~8,8€, Ashe Reshte ~4,5€, and 2 portion of 1 scope ice cream 2,8€ each. Tastes were just awesome. It was a great reminder of how tasty the foods in my homeland are! And ofc the chefs did a great job👏🏼! Kashke Bademjan is definitely a must-eat, truly mouthwatering! Koobide and its rice with tahdig ofc is also recommended. Salad Shirazi was a little overpriced compared to its small portion, but really tasty, Ashe Reshte was also very delicious. The scopes of ice cream had both some pistachio cream inside rubbed on the bowl, which was AMAZING companying the ice cream flavors (one saffron and one pistachio) and OMG unforgettable. We also got 2 macaron shaped cookies, but filled with heavy cream as a gift from one of the nicest staff. Super nice🌸 It was also an honor to see people from other nations are enjoying the food. ❤️ Some cons are, the place is a little too small and gets crowded very often. So we really hope the owner decides on moving the restaurant to a bigger place in order to be able to host more people and also make more profit hahahah:). Overall the experience here was very surprisingly pleasant and ofc the place is fully recommended and worths second and third visit! 🙌🏻

So overall we were satisfied, the service was great and very friendly, we also gave us an honest recommendation, overall everything was clean, as was the toilet (with great hygiene/care products, especially for women) I think it's a great idea! The only point where I was a bit disappointed was that my portion was quite small (I had ghorme sabzi once) and unfortunately I was still a bit hungry afterwards. In this case, it's not enough without a starter. Otherwise the restaurant is recommended.

Dear rude restaurant owner, Let’s get a few things straight: If your restaurant was “completely booked,” why did your employee even let us in and sit us at the table? It seems as if internal communication and respect within the team are also a foreign concept for you. And it's extremely rude - really, absolutely rude - to just throw guests out after 10-15 minutes! How can one have so little sense of politeness and decency as to not understand this? Second, just because you're fully booked doesn't mean you should treat customers disrespectfully. The way the owner snatched the menus out of our hands and refused to listen was simply inappropriate. You serve kabab, not doctor's office services! So please stop with this “You have to make a reservation!” number. There are plenty of restaurants that can do this without being so arrogant. And yes, it was our first visit – and definitely the last. The atmosphere was really unpleasant. Ironically, I had to convince my friend to even give your food a chance, even though your restaurant looked anything but inviting from the outside. Even your logo light was broken 😂. As an Iranian, I was really disappointed at what a catastrophe of cultural representation your restaurant was! Now I finally know why no one ever recommended we eat at your place. You've accomplished nothing more than showing us how rude and unprofessional you are. I'm not surprised that you were the only Persian restaurant we haven't tried yet - and after this experience, I now know why. With no regards

We were satisfied. The food was okay. Without knowing what Persian food tastes like, we found a lot of it to be very sour. Nevertheless, you can tell that quality ingredients are used. What was a bit negative, we once had water with a straw (glass), unfortunately it wasn't completely clean, so I didn't drink from it. The service was ok, I think the lady was new, which can be forgiven. Conclusion: it was ok, we don't know if we would come again.

In addition, the service wasn't really good... for example, our used cutlery was returned after the starter had been cleared away because we needed it for the main course. Last night we tried the Shekamu. This offers Persian cuisine. Based on a tip in advance, we made a reservation, which is particularly advisable on the weekend. The restaurant is quite small, yesterday there were 10 tables and was completely booked. Unfortunately, several spontaneous visitors had to be turned away. Pick-ups to go also went well, by the way. So, to the essentials, the food and ambience. We were greeted very friendly by the boss and shown to the table. This was beautifully decorated, with a dark candle, a cutlery bag and gold cutlery - nice to look at. What struck me very positively about the drinks menu was that there are not the usual drinks from the Coca Cola universe, but rather selected drinks such as homemade lemonades, lemonades from Iran (great varieties such as malt pineapple or malt coffee), but also various ones Cocktails, infused water and elephant iced tea. As an aperitif there were 2 different gin and tonics and then a pineapple lemonade and a homemade blueberry lemonade with ginger - very nice! The menu reads amazingly and we would have loved to try everything. We decided on 3 starters. These come in small bowls with bread and are therefore ideal for sharing with each other. Specifically there were: - Kashke Bademjan (grilled, chopped eggplant with garlic, mint, fried onions and a kashk sauce, served with bread) - Sir Torshi (homemade garlic pickled in white wine vinegar; similar to mixed pickles) - Zeytun Parvarde (green olives marinated in a Persian marinade made from ground walnuts, pomegranate pulp, garlic & herbs) The starters were a real taste explosion. The mix of spicy, sweet and sour, especially with the olives, is simply brilliant and we enjoyed every bite. After a reasonable wait, our two main courses arrived: I was able to enjoy Djudje Masti (pieces of chicken fillet marinated in a yogurt and mayonnaise marinade); There was also basmati rice with saffron and grilled vegetables. My companion chose Soltani and was happy about a grilled skewer of minced lamb and rack of lamb, as well as rice and grilled vegetables. Because we were curious, we ordered the tahdig option that was offered with the rice. The waitress explained to us that the rice is deliberately allowed to settle on the bottom of the pot, which forms a crispy layer. This rice cake was placed on the basmati rice along with pomegranate seeds and was super delicious. When it comes to the main courses, I would particularly like to highlight the meat, which was really INCREDIBLY juicy. The marinades were very harmonious, well seasoned and there was also the spice sumac and vinegar berries on the table, which gave the meat a special flavor. Both dishes were very plentiful and unfortunately we had to leave some of the rice behind because otherwise we would have burst. 🙂 After a while we wanted to try the desserts again and could hardly decide. It was then the Black Sonati Sandwich, 2 ice cream sandwiches in a black waffle on a pistachio cream with rose petals and pistachio chips. Without words and SOOO unbelievably good! There was also a double espresso and a Dalgona. I particularly liked the unobtrusive but at the same time present manner of the waitresses, especially the boss. She was super friendly and was happy to advise us on our choice of food.

We were there for dinner last night and the service was friendly. But unfortunately my son had a meat dish. He vomited heavily last night and we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

I have a very bad opinion about a restaurant that has a very small space and never accommodates guests. The staff is so disorganized that they can't even process take-away orders without a reservation. They say you have to reserve a week in advance. In my opinion this behavior is really unprofessional for a restaurant. Plus, the quality of the food isn't worth all the effort - it's way too greasy.

A truly exceptional culinary experience! We tried the Soltani and the Djudje and both were simply outstanding. The chicken skewer was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned, and the lamb skewer was equally delicious. The minced meat skewer rounded things off wonderfully – every element on the plate was a delight. We can highly recommend the garlic sauce. I would particularly like to emphasize the excellent service. The two siblings who run the restaurant gave us a warm welcome and took excellent care of us the entire time. You can feel that the work here is done with passion and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!

Ich bin sehr freundlich empfangen worden, habe einen Tisch bekommen, obwohl das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war, bin ich aber verhältnismäßig schnell bedient worden. Das Essen war zwar sehr lecker und beide Spieße total lecker, aber für meinen Geschmack hätte diese etwas saftiger sein können, hatte das Gefühl, dass etwas zu trocken waren. Ansonsten bestens.

Shekmo restaurant was very wonderful, the staff were very kind, especially <Iman>🌷, who made the atmosphere of the restaurant very intimate and friendly. I tried the Kebab mix plate, Kash va Badenjan and Fesenjan, they were amazing. After a long time, the taste of Dough-e Abali revived a nostalgic feeling in me.

As an Iranian Expat in Europe, I often haunt for good authentic Iranian restaurants when I am traveling somewhere new. Shekamu Restaurant was one of the best I have tried so far. We felt completely welcomed, kind staff and awesome food. What else can I say, nothing except my sincere recommendation if you are looking for delicious Iranian cuisine in Nuremberg.

Nice little shop with great food

The quality of the food was good and the quantity was appropriate and not small. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good and the bathroom was excellent and clean, but the personality of the Iranian gentleman who worked there was very rude and ridiculous and made inappropriate jokes, which made it not a good experience in general.

The food is amazing and the service to I went in there on Sunday and I was really amused at how clean and beautiful the place was I really like the food because it was not over cooked or little cooked If ur near Nürnberg and thinking which Iranian restaurant u want to go this place while not have the most options is amazing the staff are really friendly and better the experience of enjoying on Iranian food I would recommend

Recommendation from a friend. Never had Persian food before. Am thrilled! The location is modern. I reserved online 2 hours in advance and received a confirmation within 10 minutes. Top! Staff and owner super nice and open-minded. You immediately feel welcome. The food is fantastically delicious. The meat is so delicious and marinated with different ingredients. There is so much choice. The vegan selection of meat also appealed to me. Also the vegan bowl with vegan feta. Simply great! You won't find any other restaurants in NBG. The highlight is the vegan AND gluten-free brownie. I'll definitely come back, there's just so many more delicious things I want to try.

I can't find anything negative with the food and staff ...only the location itself is not so big ...but as far as their food is so tasty I wouldn't mind it at all ! Highly recommended! Edit : We were there a second time . The food was so low quality... So I really don't know how once was so perfect and once so awful! In addition to that , the manager is rude to his personnel and waiters. This makes guests very uncomfortable.

The food at the restaurant is excellent and incredibly delicious and high-quality, maintaining the original taste of Persian cuisine. The restaurant staff are very kind, polite, and friendly. The restaurant is very clean, and the prices are quite reasonable, truly worth visiting a hundred times. The saffron ice cream served as a dessert in this restaurant tastes like heaven. Although my family and I live in another city, we have decided to visit Nuremberg at least once a month to dine at this restaurant. My niece, who has had Iranian kebab koobideh many times in Los Angeles, rated the koobideh at this restaurant higher and said its taste is unparalleled. Additionally, the supermarket next to the restaurant offers the best and highest quality Iranian food products at the best prices.
