We celebrated a friend's birthday here, and if I could, I'd give it 10 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! I had the Djudji Sultani Bowl and a homemade pomegranate syrup. The portions are so generous that you can easily take half home! But by far the best thing was the amazing team; everyone was so friendly and attentive. They even danced for us at the end and gave us a tutorial on Persian finger-flicking! 😍 It was a truly wonderful evening! I'll definitely be back soon! ‼️🥰

Today, the four of us (my girlfriend and I) ate at this restaurant. The food was okay, nothing special, but not bad either. Unfortunately, the prices were very high and, in our opinion, disproportionate to the quality. There were three servers: two younger ones were friendly and professional, but the third, somewhat older person, wasn't particularly professional in their interactions with the guests. Overall, we were rather disappointed and wouldn't recommend the restaurant due to the high prices.

We visited Shekamu in Nuremberg for the first time and were absolutely thrilled. The staff is exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive – almost as if you've been coming here for years. For me, it was the first restaurant I've visited since my celiac disease diagnosis. I felt at ease right from the initial phone call. No lengthy explanation was needed, and they immediately understood that celiac disease is not the same as gluten intolerance. My initial concerns were also quickly dispelled upon arrival – they calmly and clearly explained that I had nothing to worry about. That was incredibly important to me. I'm also vegan and felt perfectly catered for. The food was sensationally good, beautifully presented, and the flavors were spot on. My wife had a meat dish that also looked very appetizing and tasted fantastic. The portions are perfectly proportioned – you definitely leave full and satisfied. I can also highly recommend the homemade lemonades. A true highlight. It was one of our culinary highlights of the year, not only because of the food, but also because of the incredibly friendly, empathetic, and competent staff. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent Persian cuisine. Reservations are essential and well worth it. The service is fantastic, with staff even explaining the menu to first-timers. This is incredibly helpful in deciding what to try. The mixed appetizers are highly recommended. The main courses are varied and delicious.

Today, our family wanted to enjoy a meal at a restaurant. The place was almost completely empty, with only a few guests inside. Despite this, we were turned away at the door with the explanation: "Reservations only today." When the room is visibly empty, this explanation simply doesn't ring true. To us, it seemed as if they simply didn't want to serve us – and that feels like clear discrimination. Very disappointing and disrespectful. This is no way to treat guests.

I was at the restaurant today with my family. Even though the place was almost completely empty, we were stopped at the door and turned away without any discussion – with the excuse that reservations were required. When there are hardly any guests and we're still immediately sent away, it doesn't seem credible at all. To me, it clearly looked like we simply weren't welcome. Very disappointing and disrespectful. That's no way to treat guests.

Excellent Persian cuisine in the heart of Nuremberg's southern district. You can immediately tell that the restaurant is family-run, as you receive a warm welcome and feel very much at home. The atmosphere can be a bit hectic at times due to the size of the premises. However, the service is excellent and always attentive to the guests. The minced meat skewers, as well as the chicken breast skewers and the lamb loin skewers, were all delicious and incredibly tender. The Persian rice served as a side dish was very tasty. The lychee spritz had the perfect balance of sweet and sour. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back! :)

We received excellent advice – we couldn't decide between the mixed grill and the stew, and the server even brought us small sample bowls of the stew. I ended up choosing the Kubide mixed grill and I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back!

As soon as you enter, you feel a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the modern, stylish interior immediately invites you to linger. The blend of traditional Persian cuisine and a contemporary ambiance is excellently executed. The service was consistently attentive and friendly. We felt welcome and well looked after – from the friendly reception to the advice on the many creative dishes. Even the appetizers demonstrated how multifaceted Persian cuisine is. The decor combines modern accents with a Persian touch, creating a pleasant, urban flair. Conclusion: For anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Persian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere – whether meat lovers or vegan fans – Shekamu is a top address. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it! The restrooms were also easily accessible for wheelchair users. Keep up the good work!

The food was delicious, something completely different. The service was very friendly. I'd be happy to come back. My only minor criticism was that, as a tall person, I sat on the bench against the wall; either the table was too low or the bench was too high.

I've been there a few times now with friends. The food is delicious, whether it's salad, vegetarian, or meat. We always like to share what the food is best suited to. We've rarely experienced such friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

Oriental lovers will find a great selection of dishes here, but the taste is where it ends. Several of us went to Shekamu to try Persian food. I liked the vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered drinks and food, although it should be noted that the prices are quite steep. We waited almost an hour and a half for our food, which is the first criticism. As an apology, they offered two small baskets of bread, mint, and onions. While it was a nice gesture, the bread was already cold/warm and a bit small for 8 people. 6 slices for 8 people isn't even one slice per person. When the main courses finally arrived, the disappointment continued. It was quite greasy and oily, and the meat in the meat dishes was very tough. The salad we ordered was awful. The dressing was sweet but also sour; it really wasn't tasty. In total, we paid €230, and for that price, I unfortunately cannot recommend it at all.

From Vienna to Berlin, this is by far the best Persian restaurant in my opinion—every dish is absolutely delicious. We'll be back soon ❤️

We visited Shekamu for the first time today and certainly lived up to the restaurant's name: Shekamu means "greedy" - a very likeable restaurant name that sums it up perfectly. We ate our way through the menu; the descriptions were simply too tempting. And that's exactly how the food tasted: simply fantastically delicious, yet something completely unique. A magic of savory, sometimes slightly spicy, and sweet, as well as oriental flavors. Thank you so much for this enrichment 💖 The lady who served us spoke perfect German and explained the dishes of her homeland very pleasantly. The rest of the team was also young, spoke excellent German, and was very pleasant. The ambiance in the restaurant was cozy and modern at the same time, as was the music. The clientele was very diverse - from Arab (Turkish?) families to Germans, from young to old. We felt very comfortable.

I'm very disappointed! I've been wanting to go here for a while, and my girlfriend called the evening before and made a reservation for two at 5 p.m. We arrived on time and were excited. Unfortunately, everything seemed very disorganized, and the employee spent ages looking for the name we had reserved after we arrived (the restaurant isn't that big, and it had been reserved less than 24 hours in advance...). Then we were told to sit outside (it had been raining and it was 15 degrees Celsius). When we asked if we could sit inside, we were told: inside is only for reserved seats?! We said again that we had a reservation, and three employees consulted with each other, looking annoyed. Then we were told that we had a reservation outside, which wasn't true! Nobody on the phone had said that the only places available were outside. Additionally, there were only about four guests there at that time, which was strange that everything was fully booked... Mistakes can happen, but they didn't apologize once, and they tried to shift the blame onto us! We felt completely unwelcome! A very negative experience, which is why we won't be visiting the restaurant and have gone to another one...

The food was really good,,we were with an international friend and even she liked it... for 3-4 people the option of (2 portion which has 2 koubide,1 barg, 1 chicken kebab) is so good. I suggest do not order Dough as it is fizzy and u will have a stomachache... for service they were so good friendly handy,,, restroom was clean so clean which is a good point... only for tips... i think they shouldn't mention it at the end 🙈as it is not ok but as they were all good 😊 I liked it... yummy food 🥙 *** please add more desserts (iranian cakes or Halva, ferni,...) i did not want ice ream or Faloude with tea ☕️

Highly recommend! 🥰🤤 I‘m organising dinners for bigger groups in different restaurants each time and Shekamu definitely stands out with both food and services! We have been 13 people and service handled everything exceptionally. No issues with taking orders despite guests arriving at different times, they even remembered who ordered what. Food came almost all at the same time and was delicious, compliments to the chef! Staff was friendly, professional and curtious, checked frequently on us and made sure everyone is happy. Even paying the bill was handled without issues, which is usually a big mess since everyone is paying separately! So far the best experience we had with restaurants in Nuremberg! This is my second review for this place. The visit has taken place on July 2025. Kashke Bademjan as the starter tasted awesome, BUT was a little cold inside although its dish/container was extremely hot. So I assume it needed a longer time for getting warmed up? Ghormesabzi was tasty for my hubby, but not me. But that is totally fine, cause it is just the matter of tastes… Zeytoon Parvardeh was literally FANTASTIC with a sweet sour taste! Kabab Koobide was good, but not the best. The last time I visited this place, koobideh was a lot better. This time, I found it a bit uncooked, and also a bit dry texture but it was overall good and I will order it again and again:)) There was no Somagh at our table and I personally picked it up from the table next to us. The rice and tahdig, I believe are the STAR of this restaurant, a must-try, a perfection✨! The staff are always kind and caring but they seem always a bit stressed. They talk to each other a bit loud and stressful. It is a bit annoying for people who sit inside and understand their language. I recommend this place and will visit here again. 👍🏻

Five of us went to dinner at Shekamu Restaurant and, of course, had made a reservation the day before, as is proper! The waitress was very nice and friendly, explained many things to us on the menu, and remained very calm and relaxed when it came to subsequent changes...unfortunately, I've known it differently. For our starter, we chose tahbandi, everything was delicious, especially sambusa!!! Definitely try it; you can also order just the sambusa separately. For our main course, we ordered several skewers and shared them between the five of us. We ordered rice with tahdig, which was a dream. It was beautifully served, with all the skewers on one plate and very appetizingly presented. For dessert, we had a mix of ice cream, faloude, and lava cake, beautifully presented and delicious. Afterward, I personally rolled home 😋 See for yourself: the atmosphere was pleasant, the waiters were friendly, and the food...your stomach will thank you for such a delicious experience 🤤

Amazing food, nice atmosphere, fast service, huge menu, and they have air conditioning indoors! Tried the following: Cheeto Cheese Balls - too spicy and nothing special Djudge Soltani - both the lamb and the chicken skewer were moist and tasty. The rice cake was delicious. Mast O Khiar - yogurt with cucumber and mint. Very good and refreshing. Other than the Cheetos balls everything was excellent and I highly recommend coming here.

The first and last time! But only because we don't live nearby. The food is special and delicious. The service is very friendly, and the ambiance fits the Persian theme perfectly. Special praise goes to the hygiene products in the restroom and the staff for their excellent knowledge of the menu.

The food was delicious and authentic. Every bite was a delight! I also particularly like the staff, who were extremely friendly and accommodating. You immediately felt welcome. Another huge plus, especially on a hot day (35 degrees Celsius), was the functioning air conditioning. This isn't something you can take for granted in Germany and made the stay very pleasant. And to top it all off, I highly recommend the saffron tea – it was simply wonderful. Overall, a fantastic experience. I'd love to come back!

I can't understand the positive reviews! The rice smelled bad. the juje fillet supposed to be marinated with Safran and lemon but it had a lot of spice which haven't been mentioned in the Menu! I won't eat there again👎🏻
