Shekamu in Nürnberg

The lovely Shekamu team / restaurant has not been our absolute favorite restaurant in Nuremberg for a long time, which we would recommend to everyone 😉 They also put together a fantastic catering for our most special day, it was simply incredibly delicious and all the guests were just happy. Many thanks again to the whole team... we look forward to coming back soon 😋 Vivi & Fabi

A truly exceptional culinary experience! We tried the Soltani and the Djudje and both were simply outstanding. The chicken skewer was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned, and the lamb skewer was equally delicious. The minced meat skewer rounded things off wonderfully – every element on the plate was a delight. We can highly recommend the garlic sauce. I would particularly like to emphasize the excellent service. The two siblings who run the restaurant gave us a warm welcome and took excellent care of us the entire time. You can feel that the work here is done with passion and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!

Not particularly big, but cozy. Unobtrusively stylish with a personal touch, without exaggerating. International flair, international audience. Very friendly and warm service with a personal touch. Not exactly cheap, but the great food and drinks are definitely worth the money!

Ich bin sehr freundlich empfangen worden, habe einen Tisch bekommen, obwohl das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war, bin ich aber verhältnismäßig schnell bedient worden. Das Essen war zwar sehr lecker und beide Spieße total lecker, aber für meinen Geschmack hätte diese etwas saftiger sein können, hatte das Gefühl, dass etwas zu trocken waren. Ansonsten bestens.

Shekamu not only offers delicious Persian dishes, but also super friendly and fast service. Even shortly before the kitchen closed it was no problem to eat. The aromatic starter platter for two people is particularly recommended. Definitely worth a visit!

We had grilled meat skewers with rice cakes and chicken and rice stew. Both were very tasty. The explanations from the service staff helped our decision. The staff was very friendly. It is definitely advisable to make a reservation as there are only a few seats in the restaurant. Outside sits directly on the sidewalk and street.

Been there for the first and not the last time 😊...Food was very good, good combination, tasty. A friendly and attentive service. Cozy, everything coordinates well, and the outdoor area also looks inviting.

Shekmo restaurant was very wonderful, the staff were very kind, especially <Iman>🌷, who made the atmosphere of the restaurant very intimate and friendly. I tried the Kebab mix plate, Kash va Badenjan and Fesenjan, they were amazing. After a long time, the taste of Dough-e Abali revived a nostalgic feeling in me.

As an Iranian Expat in Europe, I often haunt for good authentic Iranian restaurants when I am traveling somewhere new. Shekamu Restaurant was one of the best I have tried so far. We felt completely welcomed, kind staff and awesome food. What else can I say, nothing except my sincere recommendation if you are looking for delicious Iranian cuisine in Nuremberg.

I have never seen such poor service and such poor quality and disrespect for people and employees in Nuremberg. Unfortunately we don't need shops like this in Nuremberg

Klein, aber sehr fein. Das Essen schmeckt wirklich hervorragend und wird sehr ansprechend angerichtet serviert. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und humorvoll, insgesamt kann ich Shekamu absolut empfehlen, es ist einen Besuch mehr als wert. Hinweis: Es empfiehlt sich, zu reservieren.

Nice little shop with great food

The quality of the food was good and the quantity was appropriate and not small. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good and the bathroom was excellent and clean, but the personality of the Iranian gentleman who worked there was very rude and ridiculous and made inappropriate jokes, which made it not a good experience in general.

The food is amazing and the service to I went in there on Sunday and I was really amused at how clean and beautiful the place was I really like the food because it was not over cooked or little cooked If ur near Nürnberg and thinking which Iranian restaurant u want to go this place while not have the most options is amazing the staff are really friendly and better the experience of enjoying on Iranian food I would recommend

Recommendation from a friend. Never had Persian food before. Am thrilled! The location is modern. I reserved online 2 hours in advance and received a confirmation within 10 minutes. Top! Staff and owner super nice and open-minded. You immediately feel welcome. The food is fantastically delicious. The meat is so delicious and marinated with different ingredients. There is so much choice. The vegan selection of meat also appealed to me. Also the vegan bowl with vegan feta. Simply great! You won't find any other restaurants in NBG. The highlight is the vegan AND gluten-free brownie. I'll definitely come back, there's just so many more delicious things I want to try.

Excellent Persian food ... I can only recommend...so authentic... I can't find anything negative with the food and staff ...only the location itself is not so big ...but as far as their food is so tasty I wouldn't mind it at all ! Highly recommended! Edit : We were there a second time . The food was so low quality... So I really don't know how once was so perfect and once so awful! In addition to that , the manager is rude to his personnel and waiters. This makes guests very uncomfortable.

The food at the restaurant is excellent and incredibly delicious and high-quality, maintaining the original taste of Persian cuisine. The restaurant staff are very kind, polite, and friendly. The restaurant is very clean, and the prices are quite reasonable, truly worth visiting a hundred times. The saffron ice cream served as a dessert in this restaurant tastes like heaven. Although my family and I live in another city, we have decided to visit Nuremberg at least once a month to dine at this restaurant. My niece, who has had Iranian kebab koobideh many times in Los Angeles, rated the koobideh at this restaurant higher and said its taste is unparalleled. Additionally, the supermarket next to the restaurant offers the best and highest quality Iranian food products at the best prices.

A great recommendation for everyone - meat lovers to vegans. Courteous and friendly staff make a visit to the cozy restaurant perfect. I had the delicious Kubideh and a warm vegan brownie for dessert. The dishes are explained simply and the allergens are highlighted. See you soon!

Super nice service, fantastic food - clear recommendation! The restaurant has charm, offers delicious homemade drinks and incredibly tasty food. The eggplant yogurt dip perfectly rounded off the meat dish with rice, and the starter was also very tasty. We will come back in any case!

I've been recommended it so many times, but I was here for the first time at the beginning of April. Since then, every 2-3 weeks. A little more expensive but it's definitely worth the price. The vegan punch is flavored down to the last detail. Various appetizers were all good too! So Shekamu is definitely suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and my blackheads told me the meat also tasted very good. Unfortunately there are only 0.33 bottles available, but that doesn't spoil much.

I frequently dine at this restaurant, and the food is generally well-prepared and delicious. However, on my last visit, the fesenjoon did not taste fresh. Despite this, I proceeded with my meal until I discovered a white hair in the food. I discreetly and politely informed the server, intending merely to notify them. To my surprise, she returned without any apology and remarked that everyone in the kitchen has black hair, suggesting she had no idea where the white hair could have come from. This response was unprofessional and rude, particularly given that the restaurant owner was present.

An unforgettable evening, thanks to this restaurant. The staff, the drinks and the delicious food are excellent for quickly feeling comfortable and welcome. You get a real holiday feeling. The toilet is also worth mentioning! There is everything a man/woman could need there. Whether you need a deodorant, tampons or moist toilet paper, you can find it here. And the best thing in my opinion is that there are guest towels there for everyone, which you then throw into a nice laundry basket after use.

It's one of those restaurants where you're afraid to order something new on your second visit because it was so unforgettably good on your first visit.

Anyone looking for something other than Italian, Asian or American is in good hands here. Almost every dish can also be ordered as a vegan alternative. The starter “KASHKE BADEMJAN” is particularly recommended. Anyone who loves traditional cuisine is well served with the dish “GHORME SABZI”. Particularly noteworthy is the very polite and courteous staff.

Super tasty and authentic Persian food. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and clean. Service and the owner are very friendly and helpful. We come here regularly and are always very satisfied. We will continue to be guests here often in the future :)

The food and service were excellent. The kebabs were cooked very well, the vegetable stew was very delicious, the eggplant curd was good, but the side dishes like onion and mint were too much compared to the original curd and eggplant. However, it was delicious and fresh. Drinks were good. Suggestions for improvement: 1- Appetizers such as eggplant curd or Mirza Ghasemi should be served with vegetables. Two- other stews such as eggplant stuffing should be added to the daily menu. Thanks

I haven't eaten as well as I did here at shekamu in a long time. Authentic Persian cuisine and very friendly staff, gladly again! I can highly recommend the dish Djudje Soltani.

Very tasty food, large portions and super friendly service. Went there on Sunday lunchtime right after it opened and were warmly greeted. Each had a starter and main course. We sat outside on the bench in the sun. There is an awning above to provide sun and weather protection and there are thin fleece blankets for the body. The interior is very authentic, the outside could be a little more. Maybe lanterns or matching lights on the table. Can only recommend it!

The food was really outstanding, everything was perfect here. The service was also attentive, quick and friendly. The drinks menu could be expanded to include wines, but that's just an idea. - Two stars for truly outrageous price increases. Kabab Torsh cost €18.90 in mid-2023 - in April '24 we are at €27.90 (47.6%!)...// Answer to owner answer: So you were already charging €18.90 for inferior meat back then ? Doesn't make things better 😉

Very simply furnished, but the service was super friendly and explained terms on the menu in detail that might have been incomprehensible. There are very exotic dishes here, all of which stand out thanks to the targeted use of high-quality spices and exciting combinations (e.g. marinades made from pomegranate and walnut). Only the prices are a bit high, but you also get high-quality meat and good portions.

Something different like Greek or Italian. Food was simply phenomenal. 5 out of 5 stars in all categories. You can go there.👌👌

Just 10/10 everything tasted very good

I made a reservation online and asked for a table in the corner, which is what I got. The confirmation of the reservation also came quickly. The restaurant is right on the street, in a settlement, you can park on the street. During the week this is permitted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for one hour with a parking disc. The ambience is beautiful, modern and richly detailed. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food also came very quickly and was delicious. You could tell that it was of high quality. The dessert (lava cake) was also incredibly good. The glass noodle ice cream was okay, some of it had real chunks of ice in it. There is only one (unisex) toilet, but it is very nicely furnished and hygienic. Deodorant, disinfectant and hand cream are also offered, as well as a few hygiene products for women. I find it very sweet. All in all, I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to others. I hope my review was helpful.

This is a small cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. Just try the cuisine, we were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely return. The staff is open, close to guests and happy to answer questions. The food is absolutely great.

Visited the restaurant with high hopes but left deeply disappointed. The staff ignored us for a long time, and when they finally noticed, they were rude and unhelpful. We left without ordering due to the poor service. Will not return.

This restaurant is my undisputed number one in service, taste, selection and attention. We have been here several times and will be here more often! It tastes better every time you visit! If you could give 10 stars I would give it 11!

I've been there several times with friends and it's always been a great experience: great service including good advice for newcomers and simply delicious food! The good background noise is also worth mentioning: thanks to heavy curtains and insulation on the ceiling, you can easily have a conversation at the table, even when there are a lot of visitors, without having to raise your voice. I've had a completely different experience in other restaurants. The malt lemonade Istak is also highly recommended - nice stuff!

Last week, five of us had dinner. (Booked online beforehand and responded quickly.) It is a small, cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. Just try out the kitchen, we were very positively surprised and will definitely come back. The staff is open-minded, close to the guests and happy to answer questions. The food is simply great. The homemade lemonade is also super delicious.

Great authentic Persian restaurant! The food is very tasty and prepared with a lot of love. You pay a little more but you can tell that fresh and high quality ingredients were used. The service is also great. The waitresses were very friendly and the atmosphere was very familiar. I've never eaten Persian before and I'm blown away! I will definitely come again. Everything was patiently explained to us and tips on choosing food were given. We also received free soup as a starter as a greeting from the kitchen. Thank you! :)

Vegan Persian cuisine :O great! We were both very happy with our dishes and the portions are large. The service is top and you feel really comfortable - there's a lot of love involved here, both in the food and in everything else, and you can tell.

The meat was very well prepared and wonderfully seasoned. The flatbread that came with it was also homemade and went perfectly with the dish. Dough tasted very interesting, a good combination: sweet, a little spicy and mint.

Ein sensationelles persisches Restaurant: sowohl traditionelle als auch modern interpretierte persische Gerichte, leckere Getränke von der homemade Lemonade über persische Kaltgetränke und lokalem Schanzenbräu. Der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend und die Atmosphäre ist stylisch und dennoch gemütlich.

Waren zum ersten Mal da. Parkplätze haben sie keine aber in den Straßen rundum ist es kein Problem, etwas zu finden. Der Service ist top, unbekanntes wird freundlich erklärt. Getränke kamen schnell, tippi toppi Beim Essen liefs ähnlich schnell, allerdings war es nicht ganz so toll, wie es die Fotos bei den anderen Rezensionen verheissen ließen. Der Hackspiess war sehr gut, der Fleischspieß allerdings total trocken und teilweise verbrannt. Die Verbrannte nicht gewürzte Tomate scheint immer drauf zu sein, die von Wiederkehrenden im Restaurant abbestellt wurde, was uns erst überraschte und nach dem Essen wussten wir warum. Der Eintopf war sehr lecker, jedoch im Öl ertrunken. Das leckere Eis im Anschluss gab jedoch einen guten Abschluss. Da jeder mal einen schlechten Tag hat, haben wir uns einen zweiten Besuch vorgenommen. Service herausragend, Küche kann bestimmt glänzen, hatte aber keinen guten Tag, laden war auch voll. Passiert schon mal.

Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. Immer gerne wieder, definitiv ein leuchtender Stern in Nürnberg. Ein besonderes großes Dankeschön an Frau Hadis für den freundlichen Empfang und Service. Nur zu empfehlen.

Tutto delizioso! I piatti erano curati, particolari e veramente buoni. La cucina persiana merita di essere provata. Il personale gentile, attento e molto cordiale. Locale piccolo e molto accogliente.

Hab nicht viel zu sagen, außer das die Inhaber so Zucker süß sind und man sich einfach wie bei Freunden zu Hause fühlt. Danke für das Leckere Essen und euren excellenten Service
