I had the pleasure of visiting this Persian restaurant and it was a wonderful experience! The food was simply fantastic – authentic, fresh and full of flavour. Every dish, from the aromatic starters to the hearty main courses, was prepared with attention to detail. The spices and flavors were perfectly balanced and transported me straight to the Orient.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience Persian cuisine at its best. Not only food, but also hospitality is very important here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Even though we didn't make a reservation and came spontaneously and it was pretty full, we got a table straight away and were served in a very friendly manner. The food came relatively quickly considering how busy it was. What can I say; The taste is amazing, the spices are balanced, fresh and plentiful!! If we come through Nuremberg again, the path will certainly lead us back to the “Safran”

Very good quality and authentic Persian Food

Safran offers good food, but unfortunately the hospitality leaves something to be desired. Although the restaurant was empty on all three visits, we were not served without a reservation. The dishes are good, but the unfriendly attitude of the staff detracts from the overall experience.

The first and last time unfortunately! I'm sitting here right now. Not recommended at all!!! Gheima doesn't taste good at all, neither does qoorme sabzi. Plus it's soooo little for €14. A kebab for €7 is much more recommendable than safari!

It does not have a card reader. Ruining our best day. He stands in your face and tells lies We use these cards all over Germany. In all restaurants and fast foods and in all stores and even disco bars. If your device has a problem, fix it. Don't make excuses. People are not your toys. You lied about the card reader and took our time. More disrespect than this. You have no respect for the customer. You always think about getting cash and you always tell everyone a lie about the card reader. I have not seen this problem in any Iranian restaurant except in your restaurant and for a few times. You gave me 30 grams of onions and you say that you didn't get the money for the extra items on the table, how expensive it really was. Don't be broken. You played with our time, nerves and spirit. You are lying again, you did not write anything about the bank card on the shop window. We even told you that we are shelters. I couldn't count with the Sparkasse bank card before, and your card reader didn't work. You made me get cash from the bank across the street.

Great place which serves authentic, homemade Persian cuisine in an elegantly furnished dining room, completed by a nice music playlist. Service is very good, the owners are lovely people who were very friendly to us. I really enjoyed eating here with my family, and will be bringing friends soon.

Very nice, hospitable and accommodating. We were the only customers at the time and there was a nice atmosphere as traditional music was turned on straight away. The food and drink were very tasty. The meat was very tender. Lovely again!

One of two Persian restaurants in Nuremberg. After the renovation it is much nicer. Before, it sometimes had the charm of a snack bar. However, the food has always been excellent and the operator is also very personable and friendly. However, the service during the course of the stay could be a little more attentive and perhaps clear things up and ask if there is anything else you would like. This is a bit detrimental to the owner's warmth.

Good food, good atmosphere, pleasant music and good service. I suggest that they make the design more modern and Mr. Chef praises the food less.

Food was great, the atmosphere was superb, the lady that was serving us had great customer service and accepted us without reservation during live music performance which was really nice of her.

The saffron was spontaneously on the agenda after a long day. The ambience is pleasantly surprising and the kitchen is open-plan. The boss welcomed me warmly and was very personable. He also recommended a very good drink with the meal. The food came quickly and everything was freshly prepared. The taste was amazing and the portion was also very sufficient. I walked out of the store happy and satisfied. The prices are moderate and everything makes a very good impression. I'd love to come back.

Nice, simply furnished restaurant relatively close to HBF. Food was good, portions were sufficient. Prices were OK in principle, but the owner tried to sell us the most expensive thing on the menu and additional extras such as barberries. You can do it, but we will deduct points. We missed the well-known Persian hospitality combined with generosity in this restaurant.

Good quality, the dishes are authentic, service is very accommodating. Of course it takes a while until the food is on the table, that's how it is when you cook freshly. Nothing wrong with it in itself, except perhaps if there are events or live music, let us know when making the reservation. Can be a bit loud

Very friendly reception Were served quickly. Food was good and freshly prepared. Rice was very good, but I know Persian meat to be tastier, so that's why a little too expensive. 20 euros for 1 dish. Also because the barberries cost 3 euros extra. I know the Persian including the rice. Facility needs to be renewed.

In this restaurant, I ordered a grilled chloe kebab and the last thing I wanted to do was to count and go to ask me how it was. As someone who grew up with these foods and knows how Kobede should taste, I honestly said: it was not even close to Kobede. And the other party started arguing and told me that I have never been beaten in my life. Well, either don't ask anyone's opinion, or if you ask, listen to people's opinions. From the very first bite, I understood that you couldn't make the kebab like Iranian batter, but nevertheless, I didn't have a problem with this, and I wanted to count my food and leave. There was no problem as a (food), but it was not even close to the taste of pounded food. For some, the class (the aspect of listening to people's opinion) should be added. After that, the front of the cash register gets stuck to all the customers like a 10-year-old child while counting and says that it is certain!!! Go to our restaurant, give a star and score, and he will give the card to the customers by force. When ordering, it also tells you to order more things. It is better to learn how to treat customers and people first, then open a restaurant. If you had trained in this field, they would surely teach you how to behave professionally with customers.

Freundliches Personal, und sehr leckeres Essen..

Essen war okay, aber etwas enttäuschend. Für Berberitzen müsste man 3 Euro extra zahlen, was einem nicht gesagt wurde. Sowas gehört zum guten Ton und Service, vorallem weil es der normalen Persischen Küche entspricht. Einige Gerichte waren nicht authentisch zubereitet. Aber hier wird frisch gekocht und im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants nah beim original. Schade ist, dass die Portionen etwas klein ausfallen.

Obwohl Giacomo U. nicht dabei war, konnte das Etablissment durch seine freundliche Bedienung und das köstliche Essen überzeugen. 5/5 Sterne, gerne wieder. Dann aber nur mit G-Punkt U-Punkt.

Essen hat GUT geschmeckt ! Preisleistungsverhältnis ist auch akzeptatabel ! Habe ja auch in den beiden Punkten nichts auszusetzen !!!!! Nur, das der Besitzer von Anfang an, wo man uns das Essen serviert hatte, wollte nur noch LOB von uns hören ! Einmal ist ja gut, aber wenn mann immer wieder ans Tisch kommt und bis wir fast fertig waren das zu fragen, ist denke ich Zuviel !!! Und dann auch noch fragen ob wir Türken sind ?????? Was wir auch bejaht haben, ging das ganze los mit seinem selbst LOB , das einige unser Essen wie es zubereitet wird trocken,geschmacklos und zuwenig auf dem Teller serviert wird !!! Sogar das eine Zubereitung von einem Gericht wie es von uns vorbereitet wird, angeblich zu einem GIFT wird !!!!!!!!!!! Und Und Und es ging so weiter 🤯. Mein Antwort und Verhalten darauf hin hat ihm überhaupt nicht gefallen, es hat sich aus dem Grund bemerkbar gemacht das er ab danach Plötzlich und Auffällig nicht mehr ans Tisch getraut hat und wehrend wir gingen er sich bei uns nicht verabschiedet hat, schweigedessen uns nicht mal angeschaut hat !!!! Wahnsinn wie er sich von 0 auf 200 anders verhalten hat ! Ich dachte ich bin in einem falschen Film 🤨. So was habe ich noch nie in einem Restaurand erlebt das der Chef ans Tisch kommt und dich nach dem Nation frägt und anfängt wie toll das Essen bei seine Nation ist und bei uns alles falsch gemacht wird und bei welchem Türkischen Restaurands er früher Elektrik Arbeiten gemacht hat und bei wem er irgend welche Probleme hatte und er anscheinend sein Geld nicht bekommen haben soll !!!!! Hmmm Sorry, was geht bei diesem Person in seinem Kopf ab ? Keine Ahnung was er da alles erzählt hat , habe teil weise gar nicht mehr zu gehört, weil das alles mich nicht interessiert und er uns beim Essen gestört hat ! Und das alles NUR um sein Essen was er vom Koch in der Küche vorbereiten läst zu LOBEN ! Ist doch schon gut , wir hätten schon ein LOB ausgeschprochen nach dem wir fertig wären ! Also wir waren doch das aller erstes mal da Essen, was geht mich das ganze an ? Wenn ich irgendwo Essen bin möchte ich gerne so wie es sich gehört Bedient und behandelt werden, man kann einmal fragen ob es geschmeckt hat und ob wir noch was haben wollen , aber nicht übertreiben ! Ich mußte ständig wehrend das Essen unterbrechungen machen weil er ans Tisch kam und fragen stellte ob und wie das Essen schmeckt ! Das war Zuviel , weil nicht nur er sondern die zwei Bedienungen hatten uns ja auch einpaarmal gefragt 😤🙄😏. Ich kam mir wie in einem schlecht Organisiertem Quiz Show vor 🤔 Toiletten waren auch nicht sauber überall auf dem Boden wasser Pfützen und so herunter gekommen. Zwei Sterne Abzug wegen das allem ! Den das Verhalten von Anfang bis verlassen des Restaurants war übertrieben und unnötig. Gut gemeinte Rat an alle da drin bitte in Grenzen bleiben, nichts übertreiben, Gast nicht belästigen mit uninteressanten Geschichten, Toiletten sauber halten und warten das der Gast ein LOB ausspricht ! Den selbst LOB stinkt ! 😉

Safran ist der Hammer! Die persischen Aromen sind der Wahnsinn, und die Leute hier wissen echt, wie man kocht. Alles, von den safrangeladenen Gerichten bis zu den perfekten Kebabs, ist der absolute Hit. Die Atmosphäre ist auch total cool, und das Team ist mega freundlich. Definitiv 'nen Fünf-Sterne-Deal! 👌

Wir waren am gestrigen Abend im Safran. Empfohlen hat es mir meine iranische Arbeitskollegin. Das Safran ist, so denke ich, ein familiengeführtes kleines, im iranischen Stil gestaltetes, Restaurant. Gleich bei der Begrüßung fühlt man sich schon herzlich Willkommen, was sich durch den ganzen Abend zog. Wir hatten noch das Glück, dass am gestrigen Abend Livemusik spielte. Es wurde geklatscht, getanzt und gelacht...ich bin wirklich glückseelig an diesem Abend nach Hause. Zum Essen wurde hier schon alles gesagt...es schmeckt einfach total lecker und der Hähnchenspieß und der Safranreis mit Berberitzen ist mega gut. Von mir gibt es hier 5 von 5 Sterne und ich komme ganz sicher wieder. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend.

I visited this Persian restaurant on a weekend for lunch. The servings were generous and absolutely delightful. We had a vegetarian stew with rice which was so good, and one Kabab Kubideh which was also delicious.

fand den Service komisch, sowohl bei der Empfehlung direkt nur das teuerste der Karte zu empfehlen, als auch bei der Bezahlung meines Essens nicht mehr zu wissen, was ich bestellt hatte und es dann von mir wissen zu wollen. Bisschen unangenehme Situation, Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ok, 1 Hühnchengrillspieß mit viel Reis für 17 Euro :)

Dnia kuchni perskiej bardzo pyszne. Podstawa obu dan które miałem przyjemność zjeść był ryż, ale taki naprawdę świetnie przygotowany. Sypki, i miękki posypany przyprawa nadająca bardzo lekki przyjemny posmak. Wołowina z szafranem bardzo smaczna . Również cielęcina w szpinaku godna polecenia. We were driving back from turkey and we was craving some home food and we stopped here and everything was top notch. From an Iranian growing up eating home cooked Iranian food I can say it was even slightly better than my moms cooking! 11/10. Would hundred percent come again if my travels were to ever be in Nürnberg again.

Excellent and authentic Persian cuisine in a cozy restaurant, cooked and served by a lovely couple from Iran themselves. There's occasionally live music too. Some homemade menu items, such as traditional pickled vegetables, are very hard to find anywhere else. The food is served in large portions, and it's filling, healthy, but also absolutely delicious. For large groups, you might get small complementary dishes to go with your meal. Overall, an amazing experience that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Ehrlich gesagt weiß ich gar nicht so recht, was man zwischen Persischem Golf und Kaspisee so isst, aber orientalisches Essen muss wohl lecker sein. Jedenfalls sind die Fotos, die man hier (und bei Tripadvisor) sieht, wirklich nicht übertrieben. Das essen ist mindestens so lecker, wie es aussieht, auch wenn ich mir die Namen nicht merken kann. Sowohl der Reis als auch das Hackfleisch waren wirklich reichlich, ein orientalisches Gewürz wird optional gereicht, Salat muss man extra bestellen (wenn man mag). Zum satt werden braucht man nichts dazu. Jemand hat sich hier in den Bewertungen über kleine Portionen beklagt. Das kann ich nicht so recht nachvollziehen. Also zumindest die beiden Portionen, die meine Frau und ich heute hatten, waren reichlich. Gewürzt ist gut, aber nicht zu stark, das Fleisch ist zart und saftig und rundum lecker. Eigentlich bin ich Biertrinker, aber die persischen Erfrischungsgetränke sind es wirklich wert, verkostet zu werden, auch wenn sie bei rund fünf Euro oder sogar darüber liegen. Alles in allem haben wir zu zweit mit Getränken rund 36 Euro bezahlt, das waren nicht die teuersten Gerichte, und das Geld war es aber auch wirklich wert. Da wir heuer aus gesundheitlichen Gründen leider Urlaub zuhause machen müssen (wir hätten sogar Essen nach Hause abholen können), wollen wir wenigstens kulinarisch genießen. Von außen sieht das Restaurant eher unauffällig aus, aber es war eine lohnenswerte Erfahrung. Da hat eigentlich alles gepasst. Die Atmosphäre ist recht liebevoll gestaltet. Ein Klavier steht an der Seite, darauf Figuren, die einen Tanz ausführen, der per Nachfrage irgendwas mit dem Sufismus zu tun hat. Viele weitere Figuren, Keramik und andere Gegenstände dekorieren farbenfroh den Raum. Unter den Flügeln des Faravahar (Symbol des Zoroastrismus) betritt und verlässt man den Laden. Stilvoll und wirklich was ganz anderes im Vergleich zu den vielen arabischen oder türkischen Imbissen. Stilvoll wird auch bezahlt, mit der Rechnung in einer kleinen Holztruhe. Wenn ich so überlege, ob es nicht doch irgendeine Kleinigkeit zu kritisieren gibt... naja, in der Karte steht, dass die Iraner viele dieser Fleischgerichte nicht täglich essen, weil die Zubereitung teils aufwändig sei. Ganz "typisch" persisch ist die Speisekarte deshalb vielleicht nicht, dazu ist die Auswahl an "einfachen" Gerichten zu klein, aber das ist natürlich den Erwartungen der Restaurantgäste geschuldet. In vielen griechischen Restaurants bekommt man auch keine griechischen Bohnen mehr, weil das den Gästen zu trivial ist, da kann man den Restaurantbetreibern keinen Vorwurf machen. So gesehen war der Besuch heute eigentlich rundum perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder, nicht erst an Nouruz. ;)

We were visiting Nuremberg from USA. We came across Safron Restaurant which had very high google reviews so we decided to give them a try. The food the service and the atmosphere were all 5 star. We would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try top of the line Persian food at a very reasonable price.
