Shawingz in Kaiserslautern

I enjoy the food a lot. Some of the sauces I don't personally like but that's a preference. The workers are cool and the food comes out pretty quickly. I've only had the mozzarella sticks, fries and wings. I'm only giving 4 stars for the food because of the sauces. They're a bunch of sauces you can choose from which is amazing in my opinion. I recommend bringing your own drink.

Rude employees. First time ordering takeout. Came to pick up my order stood at the side of the main desk (where you order), no employees in sight. Employee walks back from the bathroom, walks past me and says hello. No, how can help you or nothing. He walks behind the counter, in front of the register and just stands there staring forward (the place is empty), purposely avoiding eye contact with. I finally say after 5-10 seconds, "hello, can you help me i have an order for pickup". He then does this exaggerated single finger up in the air and rounds it off point to the register, very condescendingly. First time and last time I will come here.

The food is mehhh. I would not eat there again. The chicken is just to dry and not a lot of sauce or flavor to it.

The food is good but boneless wings were a little tuff... I believe that the different flavors of wings is what makes cool. I've tried a few of there Sauses and there pretty dang good.

Delicious hot wings and great service

Great wings! I like that the wings are small, hot, and crispy. The fries are on the soft side but you can ask to have them fried crisper. I also like the different flavor combinations and the very fast service. You won't go wrong with choosing Shawingz.

They have changed their menu since I went several months ago. No more doner, added burgers and crispy chicken sandwiches. Crispy chicken sandwich was good. They also have popcorn chicken now. Haven't tried it but plan to next time. 5-5-24 Went again today, and got several of the sides and the popcorn chicken. Everything was good. Didn't see the sign for $6 margaritas until I was leaving. Otherwise today would have been the day to have one.

We've given Shawingz multiple tries, hoping that our initial experience with the wings tasting like they were cooked in oil that wasn't fresh was just a one-off. Unfortunately, during several visits, we found this to be a consistent issue. The lingering taste of used oil was noticeable, detracting from the wings themselves. I've also heard similar feedback from several colleagues, who have also decided not to return. It would be great if the restaurant could address this issue, as it seems to be a common concern among patrons.

The fries are regular compared to the ones they have in landstuh location (which are better)

1st, the wings are not full wings they are only half wings. 2nd, the half wings are so expensive for what you get. 3rd, the wings are fried and fried so much that the meat was hard and shriveled they trued to put sauce on them to fix and it didn’t work. 4th, the place was dirty and had customers leftover food still on the tables. 5th, it took for ever to take our order, I looked straight at the staff and they didn’t even acknowledge us. Conclusion we my family and friends suggest anyone avoid all of the Shawingz establishments this is not the only place we observed this, the other one in Landstuhl was worse than this one.

I recently had takeout here and had a mixed experience. The hamburger bun had seeds in it (not sesame seeds), which I didn't enjoy, and the meat was a bit chewy. On the upside, the mozzarella sticks were tasty, and the fries were decent. Overall, an average experience.

Staff is super nice and the wings are delicious! The sauces are creative and have great flavor and the wait isn't long at all! The SpongeBob sauce is 🌶🌶 and my favorite sauce on their menu

Wings are mediocre, overly sauced, but the best you can get in the area unfortunately.

I prefer Landstuhl's location, but it's bowling alley food so don't expect too much. The employees here are flippant and probably deal with entitled Americans more often than not, who knows, so I can't blame them, too much. This all suits some, but not for me.

Really good flavors and wings at a fair price. The fries and sour cream size they give are also super good.

Great customer service. Cashier and chefs were fantastic listeners- both accommodating a request without batting an eye. The Sponge Bob sauce was great. Wings could have been crispier. The price point was significant (over 20Euros) for the amount and quality of food offered. In short good service and wings but I would like to see the prices at a reasonable point for just a few wings and fries.

The food is good. Gets pretty busy at lunch. I personally feel things are priced a bit high.

These were some decent wings that, for the most part, did the trick to settle the craving. They are far from the best, but definitely far from the worst wings I've had, I would rate the quality around a 3.5 out of 5. The sauce variety is nice, but the cost for six wings and some fries was definitely on the more expensive side. All together, not a bad stop to fix a wing craving.

Food can be hit or miss but very enjoyable, we visit often and haven't had many complaints with it. Best wings in town for sure!

Food is so delicious! I love their wings. However, they are extremely over priced and employees are rude. Its that same mentality and security that civilians have on every military installation where they can be as rude as they want and charge an arm and a leg for something because they know they will never be held accountable and Soldiers will always be hungry.

Food comes out super fast which is good and bad. Good because I don't have to wait bad because that means it's not fresh. At times, my wings are glued together so they're probably frozen then fried and tossed in a sauce. The Shawingz on Landstuhl is definitely better.

I’m addicted to chicken wings, but the price went up a lot. Instead of like a 10% hike on a 10-piece chicken wing combo, it went up like 25%. Help! I’m drowning and not in more chicken wings! Anyway, I still love you Shawingz, but I have to cut back due to the significant price hike.

Great wings. I today we decided to give Schwingz a try. The wings are excellent. The hardest part was deciding on which of the 20+ sauces to try. I'd recommend stopping by if you have a hankering for some good food.

Love this place!! Food is always amazing and the staff is friendly and very helpful. Especially, Chris. I ordered on-line through the website, which was very convenient and easy, when I got there Chris greeted me with a smile and was very friendly, he had my order ready and thanked me for choosing Shawingz Vogelweh and thanked me for my military service. Will definitely be returning!

They are delicious!! If you're hungry go there, they serve you the wings quickly. My favorite flavor are honey BBQ, Mango habanero and Bufalo Ranch

This is a place I hit if I’m looking for a quick order during the work week at Vogelweh, but I find it a little inconsistent in terms of evenly dressed “dry rub” wings. In fairness, my review does not apply to the saucy wings! I normally order the lemon pepper rub (the flavor is really good) and it includes a butter base to make the pepper stick, but orders of 20 or more wings are not as seasoned. I do enjoy the sour cream and chives (I think that’s what it is) that accompanies the French fries. I use the dip with my chicken too! This is a good spot for gathering and enjoying on base. It can hold an office or team function as well. There’s a good doner selection for those not wanting chicken. Quick tip: if you are ordering take out, remember to ventilate your container (crack it open and leave the bag open) so the food doesn’t get soggy by the time you make it to the office or home. Pros: Quick, good selection of wing flavors, friendly staff, you can order extra crispy wings, open on base for lunch and dinner Cons: My dry rub orders does not always hold seasonings well for quantities of 20 or more.

Who ever was manning the order counter this afternoon 10/1 was the type of employee I would want a hundred of, he was the definition of great customer service, wished I got his name.

It's great for the options available

I've been going to this place for about 5 years since I been here and the wings have been great ! Amazing selection . But my order was messed up a couple times and they made me pay extra for fixing what they messed up . Other than that issue, the food is pretty good !

Place gets a little busy, for is good not great. Maybe if it was bigger portions! Tenders were like nuggets, pigeon legs instead of chicken legs. They have various sauces for tenders. The reason why it couldn't get 5 stars, is because it was hot as Hati.

Amazing food, and great variety of wings!

Pretty decent food and fast service. Ive been here 4 times and each visit Ive had to search for someone to take my order. I'd recommend having someone behind the order counter or at least some type of interaction with customers.

From my first week in the Kaiserslautern area till today the food have stayed consistently good. My favorite is the Sponge Bob wings!
