Was there for dinner on Friday and Saturday. Food: Duck was good Service: fast, polite Price: cheap Ambiance: functional, uncomfortable Nevertheless, again at any time

There is glutamate in food. Duck with soup €12.80. The desk in the shop window looks like a pile of rubbish, the son is doing his homework there and he has to clean it up.

It is freshly cooked. The portions are very rich. The operators are very friendly.

Even when my mother was pregnant with me, she liked to eat the noodles with chicken. Even 30 years later they still taste just as good! Fair price and tasty. What more could you want?!

We had dinner with the children at 8:30 p.m. The restaurant wasn't very busy, occasionally a few guests picked up their food but didn't eat on site. The food was extremely good. Apart from the mess in the entrance area and the questionable hygiene measures in the kitchen, 5 out of 5 stars.

Very good value for money meal. Nice atmosphere in the place and friendly service, a place you want to come back to.

In my opinion, better to my taste, the best of the "woks" in our city. All the classics are wonderful to eat without the excessive amount of salt and spices. The portions are very large, especially when ordering take-out! Meat, peppers, bamboo or morels have a really good taste, almost Thai and not drowned in glutamate sauces! The simple Peking soup tastes wonderful, sweet and sour and fresh, no mush! Of course a family business, woman at the checkout, the man tirelessly at the pans and wok! The little son often sits at the crusty table at the entrance and does schoolwork or chats on his cell phone! Attention, cash only but it's worth it because the prices are really lower than anywhere else in KA! So far the waiting time for me has always been less than 10 minutes. Seating about 20 at a handful of tables! Clear recommendation for the little Chinese with family flair!

First of all, the food is delicious! But: the open kitchen and the guest room look anything but neat and hygienic. The food that goes into the wok is stored in an old freezer, which is left open all the time. All in all very rustic. However, the dishes are prepared with a lot of dedication and taste simply great. Please just make everything more hygienic and then it will be 5 stars!

The food and price-performance ratio are definitely right here. Unfortunately the ambience is nothing special and has a snack bar feel. Still recommendation.

A simple, cheap Chinese snack bar that no longer wants to exist. The portions are very generous, it's quick and tastes good too. You shouldn't expect sophisticated, sophisticated dishes now. You can definitely do it

Absolutely not good. I was hungry, otherwise I wouldn't have eaten it. Only glutamate taste, really disgusting. I was in Asia very often and for a long time, it was really the worst food I've ever had at an Asian restaurant in Germany. I felt sick while eating. Now first have an espresso and stomach tea.

Absolutely ok for a snack and very fair prices. The 4.4 stars are exactly right in my opinion. The portion was more than enough for me and met my taste. Neither overly seasoned nor too bland. However, anyone who expects a Michelin star here has only themselves to blame. One star deducted for “only cash”. But the chef welcomed me again, beaming and friendly, after I got cash.

Sunday 03/19/24 5:00 p.m. Packaged to take away. The large spring roll was really tasty. Great, 5 stars! The duck “Sichuan Style” and “Eight Treasures” dishes were repeatedly much too salty! I generally eat well seasoned food, but here I couldn't finish the portion because of the rice that was floating in the salty sauce!!! The duck was tender but lost some of its crunch because the meat was not specially packaged. 1.5 stars for that. The prices are really fair!!!! The chef seems to have been there for a long time 😍 being in love.

The food tastes like the average Asian snack bar, so it's nothing particularly special, but it's good for those who like it. I can hardly judge the service, I'm here more to take the food away. The ambience is admittedly not the most inviting, but what is particularly advantageous here is the relatively good location in the city. What annoys me a bit is that the prices have been raised significantly recently - but that's hardly a differentiator from other Asian snack bars. As a comparatively quick meal but sufficient for my needs.

Very friendly and accommodating. We ate very well, value for money was very fair and contemporary. We were even able to charge our cell phone. Don't expect luxury, just a family atmosphere and lots of peace.

Very good food, at great prices The Shanghai Wok on Kaiserallee in Karlsruhe is a mixture of fast food and small restaurant. Service: It is largely self-service. You choose your food and then order it directly at the window, which also gives you a view of the kitchen. Some of the employees had some problems with the German language, but somehow they always managed it. The ordered food is then brought to the table. The boss was very friendly and gave the kids some candy. - 4/5 Eat: My duck Szechuan style was really delicious. You can take your own drinks from a refrigerator. Everything was freshly prepared, which you can even watch through the transparent kitchen if you want. - 4/5 Value for money: Absolutely great! I have no idea how Shanghai Wok can maintain such low prices. Super cheap food given the quality offered. - 5/5 Conclusion: Very good food at extremely fair prices and a very friendly boss. Only the atmosphere was a bit wild at times. There is a table in the restaurant that is used as a place to store everything. That looked very wild. But overall a very good experience. - 4/5

Unfortunately I can't understand the good reviews. Because of this, I ate there for the first time today. The shop isn't really pretty, but what's very disturbing is a table right next to the entrance that's completely covered in rubbish. The service was nice, but gave the impression of being bored. Then to dinner; As a starter I chose chicken skewers with peanut sauce. While the sauce was okay, the chicken was over-fried so it was pretty tough on the outside. The actual food was even more disappointing. The chicken didn't taste like anything, the "vegetables" on the plate were almost exclusively bean sprouts. The rice was very bland. And what I actually love about Asian cuisine are the different spices. Apparently the cook forgot about it.

My favorite Chinese fast food restaurant. It always tastes delicious and the price is right. For this you certainly have to accept flavor enhancers and a strange ambience. But when you eat at home, it doesn't matter.

Schwöre nh bei so einer Menge und so einem Preis stimmt auch noch der Geschmack kann man sich echt net beschweren

Wollt ihr nicht mal den Aktenhaufen im Schaufenster aufräumen? Der liegt da schon fast ein Jahr. Mir persönlich macht das gegenüber keinen guten Eindruck.

Mein Persönliches Lieblings-Lokal im Bereich chinesisches Essen. Leckeres Essen zu einem absolut guten Preis. Man bekommt eine ordentliche Portion zu einem recht niedrigen Preis. Als ich ein Kind war, bin ich mit meiner Familie ziemlich oft da gewesen und besuche das Lokal heute noch ziemlich gerne. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Unfassbar gutes Essen. Seit mindestens zehn Jahren mein bevorzugter Ort, wenn es um chinesisches Essen geht. Quasi jedes Jahr gegen Weihnachten wird hier gegessen, obwohl ich mittlerweile mehrere hundert Kilometer weit weg wohne. Der einzige Laden auf dieser Welt, dem ich gerne sogar 6 Sterne geben würde. Seit Verfassen der originalen Rezensionen gibt es einen neuen Besitzer, jedoch ist das Essen weiterhin sehr gut.

Update 04.09.23: muss sagen das ich froh bin das der Laden immernoch da ist. Heute hats mich sehr an den alten Shanghai Wok erinnert. Die gebratenen Nudeln waren super, Schweinebällchen süß sauer waren super, auch meine Ente war sehr gut. Die Ente an sich sah sehr gut aus, wenig wabbeliges Fett, schönes Filet mit Kung Bao Soße. Es gibt also eine Steigerung, was mich als alten Fan natürlich freut. Ich bestelle immer ohne Glutamat, das braucht, das sehr gut gewürzte Essen, nicht wirklich. Für mich der beste China Imbiss weit und breit!!!! Das Essen war damals gut und ist es noch immer, auch wenn die Besitzer gewechselt haben. Ganz an das alte Shanghai Wok kommt's nicht Ran. Heute Ente Kung Bao gegessen, die soße war weniger Intensiv. Aber gut. Vom Ambiente gefällt mir nicht(war aber früher auch schon so), das im Wartebereich vor der Kasse ein Tisch mit viel Gerümpel steht, was auch immer das ist, es hat dort nix verloren. Auch die Freundlichkeit ist nicht besser geworden, die alte Kassiererin war auch nicht immer die netteste, hier ist sie zwar nett aber echt teilnahmslos. Früher hat der Chef selbst gekocht und ein paar Witze gemacht. War ein offener Typ. Der jetzige sagt gar nix mehr. Hab heute auch dort gegessen, es ist auf jeden Fall besser wie früher mit dem Geruch im oberen Speisebereich, da jetzt eine fast geschlossene Küche herrscht und somit den Fettgeruch abhält (aber nicht 100%). Aber eine Verbesserung zu früher allemal!!! All in gebe ich trotzdem noch 5* da mir das Essen immer noch am besten in Karlsruhe schmeckt. Und es keinen besseren China-Imbiss gibt. Wären die kleinigkeiten weg wäre es für neue Kunden bestimmt ein besseres Ersterlebnis, aber da ich das so schon Jahre kenne, stört mich das nicht so sonderlich groß das ich Punkte abziehen wurde. Essen 5* Service 3* Ambiente 2* Gesamt 5*

Für mich der beste China Schnellimbiss in Karlsruhe. Tipps: S7 (ma la Tofu), Schweinefleisch doppelt gebraten in scharfer Soße, Hühnerspieße in Erdnusssoße und Gemüse

Essen lecker 😋 Preis okay Aber bitte liebe Besitzer. Räumt den Tisch am Eingang auf. Das lädt nicht gerade ein, und sieht übelst unordentlich aus. Geht gar nicht. Deshalb nur 1 Stern bei Ambiente

Für unter 20 Euro 2 Hauptgerichte und Getränke, sehr lecker, reichlich und frisch. Kein Sternelokal, aber sehr viel Leistung fürs Geld 💰.

Es ist mein absoluter Favorit. Egal was man bestellt, es schmeckt einfach gut.

Holen immer zum mitnehmen. Mein Sohn liebt es.

Wer auf die ganzen zutaten und geschmacks verstärker steht und nix gegen durchfall hat, kann sich das mal gönnen.

Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und die Preise unschlagbar günstig. Eine Portion gebratene Nudeln beispielsweise reicht bei uns sogar für zwei Personen. Wir kommen da wirklich gerne hin :)

Essen war in Ordnung, Personal sehr nett Ambiente lässt jedoch ein wenig zu wünschen übrig daher nur 4 Sterne

Das Restaurant ist ziemlich klein, dafür aber ist das Essen einfach nur Gut. Die Atmosphäre ist einladend und gemütlich. Man könnte sagen, dass man bei sich zu Hause essen würde. Es gibt viele Speisen und Getränke zur Auswahl mir sehr guten Preisen. Die Familien die da Arbeit ist vorkommend und sehr nett. Werde in der Zukunft öfters hingehen.

Sehr schönes Familien Restaurant wo wir seit Jahren besuchen.

Update 18.04.2022 Please do NOT doubt if you see the small rest on your way to give it a try. I have tasted many Asian food in Germany and every country where I’ve been. For me this kitchen has the best taste right now here in karlsruhe so far , including that they still keep the same 2 cookers which is the most valuable. Sometimes a great rest can change their quality food from one day to another just for the simple fact of changing cooker or chef.

Ich hatte mich echt wohl gefühlt. Update. Ich hatte heute gebratene Nudeln mit Rindfleisch. War voll gut!
