The boss was very nice and the food tasted very good too.

We ordered two dishes. First, we waited two hours. The food was way too spicy, even though I had requested mild. Then, to make matters worse, the wrong thing arrived; I had specifically requested vegan and a different sauce, but they didn't do it. Never again.

Unfortunately, we didn't receive exactly what we ordered. The mild Shai Paneer turned out to be spicy, and instead of a garlic naan, we received a regular one. This was rather annoying for a €50 order.

We spontaneously visited the restaurant and were extremely positiv surprised by the taste and quality. Great Naan, delicious Chai and Mango Lassi. Greeted with Papadams and sauces which is rarely served free. Portions are sufficient and nicely decorated. Thank you for a nice Friday evening. One star less for the atmosphere as it is not as colorful as we know Indian restaurants 🙃

We love the food from Shan India! We order almost every week, and it always arrives hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. The spice level is always accurate, and allergens are listed on the menu. We absolutely must visit in person sometime. Highly recommended!

A pleasant surprise in the heart of a residential neighborhood, an excellent Indian restaurant with simply delicious dishes, with the rainbow of spices adding the aroma and smell that characterizes Indian dishes and everything explodes in your mouth. Very reasonable price for the value. We ordered a dish for 2 people which was more than enough for the two of us.

Best Indian food I had in Munich, hands down. It's our favorite delivery food and I also come whenever I can to the restaurant. Friendly service, tasty food, no complaints. Their "Lamm botti masala" is probably one of the most delicious Indian dishes I ever tried in my life. I have it regularly, consistently amazing! 👏

Three days ago, I ordered from "Shan India" for the first time. I ordered a thali/mixed platter and specifically requested the more expensive version (actually with meat) because I liked the sauces better. I also asked for vegetarian versions of the two meat dishes. This was ignored; I simply received meat (this is never a problem at my "regular Indian restaurant," they accommodate all requests). It's not a big deal, since they have to prepare the platters fresh for the thalis anyway, and it's not a financial loss either, since the vegetarian dishes are cheaper... There was also an extra bowl of some sweet vegetable dish with pieces of fruit, but I hadn't ordered that... My request for garlic naan instead of bhutura was honored, but both arrived wrapped in aluminum foil, which wasn't necessary and was a waste. I didn't want the bhutura, after all—it seems a bit chaotic... the salad had No dressing, and they simply forgot the mango cream... Okay, the portion was large, but that's usually the case with Indian restaurants. The flavor was okay, and the next day it was well-seasoned and considerably more aromatic than when it was delivered. It wasn't medium-spicy, as ordered, but rather slightly hot/spicy at most. Overall, I've had much better food at several Indian restaurants, and I won't be ordering from here again...

We ordered catering for a small, private party with 20 people, including three different dishes. After a detailed and helpful telephone consultation, we ordered the food. It was delivered and set up on time by a friendly delivery driver. Everything went smoothly; the food was delicious, a spicy sauce was included, and everyone involved was very friendly... There was nothing to complain about, and we will likely use the catering again for a much larger event.

Very good Indian restaurant with nice service. If you like it spicy, the Angara Chicken is highly recommended. We will eat here more often.

Service, underground! the worst Indian food I have ever eaten!!!! How does someone get the idea that this would be delicious? Unfortunately, I'm assuming it's a fake profile. We had a voucher from Groupon that would be worth €160. There is a separate map for this, which means you can't search for everything anyway. Plus the noise of the wedding or at the door, where it's so cold. The restaurant apparently also has a delivery service that is constantly going in and out and talking loudly on the phone via a headset in all kinds of languages ​​in the world. In addition, there is no vestibule, i.e. with temperatures at the absolute limit of pain! the worst experience since actually ever!

Unexpected highlight! Really great food and service. I had the free-choice combination of 4 curries and each was delicious and different. Along came a whole range of sides (fried bread, rice, salad, chutneys). Truly amazing, strong recommendation. 👍🏻

Further update Jan 2025: We regularly come to the restaurant to eat and have never been disappointed. Yesterday everything was excellent again and tasted wonderful. Update a year later: The food was excellent again and I can once again agree with my review from a year ago. The food was, as always, excellent. Fortunately, the service has improved. Unfortunately, the new decoration with soundproof surfaces doesn't dampen the noise so well. Maybe some textile would be better.

Our favorite Indian. Apparently there are sometimes problems with delivery, but everything is always great there. The food is great, portions are big and they are super nice. We basically tried the entire menu and everything was great.

Unfortunately I'll never know how the food is as I was left waiting over an hour and half before I decided to call them. Apparently they did not know my address or phone number, which is saved with Uber and is correct as I double checked. This apparently was my fault somehow, that they either could not read correctly or just can't do what any other restaurant does in this situation. Really embarrassing showing from this restaurant and their response to it. Shame, food looks nice.

Hello, I could explode at how rude my delivery person was. I just ordered food and my app shows 18 minutes. I get a call and he says if I ordered food. He then answered yes and he said I had to come down very quickly. I went downstairs and I complained about how he spoke in a bad tone. I'll pass this on to my friends too, really bad.

The usual selection of Indian dishes and lots of house specialties. Great food and well priced drinks menu . Will definitely go back . Great friendly service.

Best food and best costumer service. I ordered a delivery and I was outside mu house when it arrived (transportation problems). They delivery person waited for me😭😭😭 he didn't want to put my food outside as I asked him to do.

Even though the quality of the food is good, they always deliver late and when called to ask for the delivery status we have to know Hindi as a prerequisit as they are in a belife that whole India speaks and Hindi and mocks others who do not speak hindi..

Average Indian restaurant, with little interest and being out of the way. The portions are generous, but the flavors are lacking, I was expecting spicier food from an Indian restaurant. The prices are a little expensive for what it is. As for the surroundings, it’s clean, as are the toilets. The staff is friendly. I won't go back, I think you'll find much better options in Munich

The quantity of the food is good. The chicken pieces are too large to eat and the tenderness is good. The presentation of the Thali menus can be improved, the food plates that are served too congested for the food they give. It's really difficult to eat in such small plates. The chicken curry tastes are good. The service is ok and the ambience is ok. Very easy to reach from the Ubahn Station.

Wir haben Essen bestellt. Die Lieferung ging auch sehr schnell. Leider wurde was vergessen nach 2 mal nachfragen wurde sich entschuldigt aber eine Nachlieferung ist nicht möglich. Ich habe das Essen aber natürlich bezahlt, darauf wusste auch niemand eine Antwort und es wurde einfach die ganze Zeit aufgelegt. Absolute Frechheit!! Nie wieder! Kann ich nicht empfehlen…

Gerade eben über Lieferheld bestellt. Ich kann es nicht glauben. Ich esse, koche und bestelle schon lange indische Essen. Aber das war eine absolute Katastrophe. Nan wie Gummibrot - Absolut ecklig. Widerliches, sehniges und nicht mal eingelegtes Fleisch. Geschmacklich hatte das nichts mit indisch zu tun.

Bodenloses Kundenservice! Habe als Stammkunde Essen bestellt. Das Kamm total verschüttet. Ohne zu ahnen, packte ich es aus auf meinem Marmortisch. Alles voll verschmiert... Habe direkt die Restaurant angerufen, mir wurde gesagt ich soll Beweisfotos machen und an eine von ihr diktierte Nummer versenden. Leider blöde Weise war der Tisch voll und wir haben parallel mit Freundin den misst beseitigt so das nicht mal eine Notiz möglich war. Das interessierte die Frau nicht. Die Möglichkeit das der Fahrer der noch unten Vorort war, das ganze wieder abholt wurde auch nicht in Betracht genommen. Hütte sich wer kann vor diesem unfähigen Kundenservice!

Das Shahi Paneer war super lecker! Hatte bei der Bestellung einen Zahlendreher in der Nummer, der Fahrer hat 20-30 Minuten gewartet und wir haben unser Essen trotzdem noch warm bekommen, vielen Dank dafür! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

falsches Essen geliefert. Anstatt Ente kam ein Schweineschaschlik. Kann ja mal passieren... Leider war das Fleisch so trocken und hart, dass man dieses kaum essen konnte. Außerdem war ein riesen Stück Knochen noch in einem Stück gesteckt. Bis jetzt kann ich die sehr guten Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Für mich war es das bisher schlechteste indische Essen, das ich je hatte.

Das Entenfleisch hat alt und zäh geschmeckt. Für diesen Preis nicht lohnenswert!

Shan India offers versatile very delicious menu items. We had our dinner on Saturday July 8th 2023. The service is extraordinarily. Just my advice to them to offer fresh meet in the items that you manipulate with it’s taste! I recommend without hesitation!

Wir saßen im netten Außenbereich. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Karte ist umfangreich und bietet auch Gerichte, die nicht in jedem indischen Restaurant Münchens zu finden sind. Die Schärfe kann man bei Bedarf beim Bestellen ansprechen, sodass wenn nötig auch sanftere Zubereitungen möglich gemacht werden. Die probierten Gerichte waren sehr lecker, gut gewürzt. Die Lamm Samosas kann ich unbedingt empfehlen, diese findet man nur selten auf den Vorspeisenkarten. Tipp: Vor Ort kann man im Shan eigentlich nichts falsch machen, dort ist alles gut. Doch scheinbar gibt‘s ein Problem mit dem Lieferdienst. Aber: Damit habe ich selbst bisher keine Erfahrungen gemacht und kann daher nichts weiteres dazu sagen.

Würziges, autentisches und gutes Essen, sehr nette Bedienung. Die Terasse ist auch toll eingerichtet.

Als Nachbarn dieser Restaurant, bin ich hin und wieder mal beim Essen. Und ich wurde nie enttäuscht! Die Personal ist kompetent und witzig und die Gerichte sehr gut, schön präsentiert. Man fühlt sich einfach gut! Empfehlenswert!

Sehr sehr feines Essen, schön angerichtet, sehr angenehme Atmosphäre und sehr freundliches Personal. Wenn man die Qualität von diesem Restaurant auf seinen ganzen Ebenen genießen will, sollte man hier im Restaurant Platz nehmen und nicht bestellen. Bestellte Ware kommt nie an das ran wie man im Restaurant essen kann! Gerne immer wieder!

Visited the restaurant first time on the occasion of Eid. The food was fabulous on top of it the hospitality was amazing, authentic Indian taste. They also gave us complimentary Gulab Jamun and our server was a fantastic human too.. Would have wanted lamb to be halal, but its ok, the chicken we had was halal. Will definitely revisit 😊
