Serways Raststätte Wunnenstein West in Ilsfeld

Completely rubbish. If you arrive after 7 p.m. for dinner, the Burger King is already closed. It closes at 4:55 p.m. 😂 Totally crazy. Nordsee was also simply closed. And the dirtiest Serway experience so far 👎

Everything is ok, the parking lot is large, but very busy. On Saturday from 7:00 it is practically impossible to get into paradise, unless somewhere in the queues. There are 3 showers (key to key), in the shower there is a toilet. (You can pay by card). Very clean, it is clear that they are looking after it. In general, everything is very, very good, and 4 stars only because the food prices are several times overpriced.

Open 24 hours? Today (September 10, 2025), the rest stop was "deserted" at 3:15 a.m.: It was dark, no one to be seen inside, simply closed. I couldn't find any opening hours outside. Normally, highway rest stops are open 24 hours a day—but why was this one closed today? No staff?

Saturday night, 10 p.m., everything closed. You can't even get a drink. Even Sanifair is closed! What's up with that?

A typical rest stop, like the ones you find anywhere on German highways. It gets 4 stars for its cleanliness and friendly staff.

I can't say much about this place, I've only been there for a short time. Nevertheless, it's pleasant.

You arrive at this rest stop with your truck at 6:30 in the evening, right at the peak of dinner time, even find a parking spot, and then look forward to "something different" than the stuff from your own fridge – only to be bitterly disappointed. North Sea – closed. Burger King – closed. Since 5 p.m.! Serways doesn't have a great selection either. But prices are beyond belief.... That's just a disgrace! So, back to your own fridge. What's the problem? Is there no staff? Because there would certainly be enough customers... I'd be genuinely interested in the reasons for this kind of business policy.

Clean toilet, everything in order

The only real plus point about this rest stop was the clean restroom. Seeing the restaurants staffed by only one or two waitresses on a busy summer holiday weekend leaves you speechless. We only stopped there because our little boy needed to go to the bathroom. I can only recommend to everyone: hang in there and keep going...

Sanifair toilets are not good to be found.

You can eat well, but it is a bit more expensive.

It's clear that the food at the motorway restaurant is overpriced. But the matcha latte is really bad: milk with traces of matcha, not even properly stirred.

Unfortunately, the food (fries with falafel balls) was incredibly bad – I've already enjoyed it several times at other rest stops. This was truly a waste of money. Restrooms, however, were clean.

Everything is within reason. Prices in restaurants are absurd.

Unorganized, poorly signposted, only one cash register, staff had to move from cash register to sales point, and no one understood where to queue.

The visit only made sense to redeem the Sanifair coupons. Fish (3) and chips = ordered a small portion but paid for the standard portion (6). Coffee (s, m, l) I had a medium portion but paid for a large portion. Instructions were ignored, so it's not worth starting an argument about. My conclusion: next time go to Burger King, you get what you pay for.

It's a disgrace. If I didn't have to use the IONITY charging stations here, I would give it a wide berth. Apart from the overpriced kiosk, everything was closed around 6:30 p.m. on July 22, 2025. Everything was in a sorry state.

Really one of the worst Serways service stations I've had to stop at, staff yell at you and ignore you if you have a question, but if I had to work at a run-down motorway service station every day, I would probably hate my life too, so somewhat understandable

The rest stop is signposted as North Sea, but no North Sea products were available on July 20th around 6 p.m. I'm used to seeing Bismarck rolls freshly made, even when the display is empty. Here, they just said, "Everything's sold out." It's a shame we drove out of here.

Parking is quite normal. shower, toilet is in KFS (shower 3 euros, toilet 1), toilet is also at the gas station. Nearby is a store 1.7 km. Everything would be fine if not for the night inhabitants in the form of rats. Be careful, you can step on them😅

If I'm at a rest stop and fancy a chocolate milkshake and am sold a vanilla one, that can happen. However, if I complain, I don't want to be ripped off by the staff, who tell me it only looks like that and ask if I can't see the brown particles. This will be my last time at Serways. I don't need that.

Warning: total rip-off! Outrageous prices, poor service, and disappointing quality. This place clearly takes advantage of travelers with no nearby alternatives. Price increases of up to 200% are hard to justify and feel like exploitation, not economics. For families, commuters, or vacationers—this stop is frustrating and should be avoided if possible. Better to plan ahead and stop elsewhere.

Wunnenstein West is a relatively well-kept rest area with fast charging stations from Ionity. There is the North Sea there, where you can buy tasty fish sandwiches. So we can recommend 👍

At 15.00 it is already impossible to find a place. There is a cafe with a paid toilet, a shower, and Wi-Fi.

Unfortunately, the North Sea employees did not invent working and serving customers. You come out of the kitchen and see customers waiting and turn around and just go back into the kitchen.

So far everything is fine. The truck parking lot is a bit small, but there is still a spot in the corner every now and then, even at night. Attention, due to the “good location”, the place is also suitable for mobile speed monitoring (speed trap for gray Benz or Opel panel van with black windows)

Just bought a Mars bar with a Sanifair voucher. Waited forever until someone came to the checkout. As we continue our journey, we notice that it can be disposed of straight away.... I didn't feel comfortable here and probably won't stay here anymore.

One star is still too many for this rest stop! I was there on February 12th to go to the toilet and get a coffee. Toilets were unreasonable, dirty and smelled of urine, which is why you pay €1 to catch illnesses. For coffee: 2 machines, one of them broken, Then I look at the prices, for a small coffee for a whopping €5. I pointed out to one of the cashiers that charging €5 for a small coffee was a complete rip-off. Answer: these prices are prescribed by Dallmayer, I answered, no, these machines can be adjusted to this, why are the prices different at other gas stations, €3 or €3.20. No answer is also an answer, you were just sent out of the room. Never again, and I will be contacting Dallmayer to find out if Dallmayer will dictate prices. A facility like this shouldn't actually be called a rest area. Restaurant closed at around 5 p.m. Burger King was already closed at 5:45 p.m. At Tank & Rast you now feel like you're being taken for a ride, as if we drivers were just second-choice people

We wanted to grab something to eat at the rest stop today, but we didn't have much time. Burger King was too crowded so we opted for 2 curry sausages with a bun instead. Unfortunately, that was a big mistake. Not only were they the worst currywursts I've ever eaten, but they were also the most expensive: 10.69 euros per currywurst with a roll! At this price I would have at least expected the sausage to be properly fried - but it wasn't. Since we were pressed for time, we couldn't complain, but it really was a disaster. I wanted to speak to someone later to give my feedback, but the only person I could talk to was the unfriendly buffet person who prepared the sausages. Conclusion: Avoid at all costs!

At 20.30 they said that the shower was no longer working.

At 21:00 it was closed, there was no shower at the gas station.

Excellent parking, plenty of space, lasted 45 hours. 3 shower cabins -3€, toilet -1€ everything is clean. There is Kaufland a kilometer away, it is possible to go to the opposite side of the parking lot or travel by car/bus. Cozy and quiet place!

Parking and charging ★★☆☆☆, one of the seven charging stations is working today. 8 km away, all Tesla charging stations also work for non-Tesla vehicles. Prices for food ★☆☆☆☆ — 8€ for a sandwich, 8€ for a coffee. Usury. Drive on, the detour to a bakery in the region takes less than 5 minutes and there you can get breakfast for two for €16 instead of a snack for one.

Not recommended for drivers who want to eat at Burger King after 5 p.m. or take a shower at 7 p.m. How do you close Burger King at 4:45 pm? How to use a boiler (if you have one)? At 9 p.m. on a Friday the rest stop was already closed, with no information anywhere. The toilets at the gas station were acceptable, but some of the hygiene facilities were broken.

Everything from the prices, the quality of the food and the cleanliness is just catastrophic. It's best to just avoid it.

We were passing through. The worst rest stop in Germany. Paid 1 euro and not even toilet paper. Very, very unclean. The main thing is that there are lots of charging stations for electric cars... Poor Germany, take Switzerland or France as an example!! !!Even 1 star is definitely one too many.

Overpriced then it's better to get off the highway

This rest stop is really an imposition. The staff was unfriendly. The toilets smell terribly of urine and you pay a euro for that?! In addition, they weren't really clean, as you would expect from Serways. There were tons of rats running around in the parking lot. Somehow it fit with the overall picture.

On the road again, again SANIFAIR, again 1€ entrance fee, again no toilet paper in the toilet cubicle and in the washroom. Thank you for this "service"!!!

HORRIBLE! 😂 Almost all of the order terminals at BK were broken. So I had to go to the bistro. The saleswoman probably laughed/smiled for the last time in 1989. Sieh worked super slowly. A huge gathering of people arose. Many then simply left without ordering. The super expensive rolls were soggy and inedible for my grandma. I ate mine... €7.50 had to be used somehow. An animal also died. Absolute recommendation NOT to stop.
