September in Bremen

Very good and nice restaurant near the market square. The food was delicious. We have to try it when we visit Bremen.

Today we were at "September." We spontaneously got a table, which made us very happy. The grilled platter is highly recommended. The steak was excellent, both in terms of flavor and cooking time. This continued with the tender chicken, turkey, and even the pork. It was served with delicious rosemary and herb butter. The fries were crispy and well-salted, great! We also ordered the XL schnitzel. This was also delicious, but we didn't like it as much overall. This was mainly due to the thickness of the meat. The sauce was already spread all over the schnitzel. This caused the breading to become soft over time. We also felt the meat was lacking salt and pepper. The croquettes, on the other hand, were very tasty :) The salad remained almost untouched due to the extremely soft tomatoes. You can get better and cheaper schnitzel elsewhere. But the variety of meat, like the grilled platter, is definitely worth a visit! For us, the price-performance ratio is also right.

Unfortunately disappointed with the food. The schnitzel was the size of a fried egg. Far too little for the price.

Had chicken cordon blue with potato wedges. This was in the deep fryer too long for my taste, very dark, hidden under hollandaise sauce. Potato wedges were okay. The waitress was very charming, but tried to give everyone a large drink (0.5l). Ambiance is getting old.

Cool pub, nice service, several large TVs with live football broadcasts. Prices ok.

Service was very unfriendly. Drinks arrived wrong after 20 minutes and we waited over 1.5 hours for food even though the shop was empty. When it came we asked if we could get cutlery to eat with. After waiting 15 minutes for the cutlery we left the shop without eating. Absolutely not recommended

It started when four of us ordered drinks. These were a long time coming and 2 of them were wrong. The starter, in our case bruschetta, only arrived after 45 minutes and was burnt, while the restaurant wasn't even particularly full. The cutlery only came when asked and then after a 10 minute wait. The main course, consisting of 4 schnitzels, was brought to the table after another half hour, 3 of 4 side dishes were different than ordered. It culminated in one of my friends being accosted when he accidentally hit a wall while trying to pick up his dropped cell phone, which, judging by the noise, caused plates to fall, for which he of course apologized. We left without eating because we don't see why we support such un-customer-oriented behavior. Absolute disaster.

Highly recommended for lunch. For €12.90 you don't get a particularly large portion, but it's enough and tastes good. Only the prices for drinks are too high for me. The service was quick. I can definitely recommend it for a quick lunch at a good price.

I was there (for 2nd) on Thursday evening. Visually inviting. Greeted and were welcomed. Even though there was hardly anything going on, no one came to us even after 10 minutes... maybe they wanted to give us time to choose something?! Had a craving for steak. Rump steak with side dish €27.50. We don't know if it's good and enough to fill you up since we left. Went to Rodizio for €32.90... although I paid €5.40 more, it was "all you can eat"...

First night in Bremen and stumbled across September. Good food and good service.

After a day at the Christmas market, we settled here for a snack and a drink. Cozy tent, where you can eat and drink. The food wasn't special, but we didn't expect that either. We both had a main course (schnitzel) and two drinks each. At checkout I had to pay €73.90. At that moment it didn't ring a bell, but once I got home I did some rethinking. Turns out we paid about $18 too much. Could of course be a mistake, but it's a shame. And to be honest, I think €18 is quite a lot…

Great food, served quickly! Luckily there was still room for 2 so we were able to sit down quickly. The staff who helped us could understand English (luckily😅). Background music was diverse and the price of food and drinks was average. Definitely recommended!

Food was okay. But in my entire life I have never experienced a waitress (dark hair, short stature) asking for a tip several times. I didn't know there was such a thing in Germany 😅

Unfortunately, the sausage on the kale plate was raw. After complaining, a new raw sausage arrived... the cook must not have had a good day. Unfortunately, service was only mediocre because there wasn't really an accommodating response to this error. The kale tasted good though.

Service is friendly. Tables are far too close together, it is very noisy in this place. The chicken schnitzel was tasteless, the schweineschnitzel was also tasteless and served with a nasty cream sauce. Unfortunately, not recommended.

Great food in a cozy atmosphere. Service Schaline 1 A, rarely experienced such a fast, helpful and nice employee. Simply full marks in all areas.

The food was good. The wedges have seen the deep fryer at least twice, but my husband likes them. Prices okay. Female service very nice. Male waitress suddenly disappeared, previously snooty demeanor. It needs to be dusted off again. But the most negative point was the music. Modern Talking on a loop, or very similar songs, then nothing again, then Modern Talking again. Didn't work at all.

Addendum Were in Bremen again in 2024 and ate there several times because it is still a great price-performance ratio and the staff is simply great 👍👍 Nice staff, had pork schnitzel for lunch - it was fresh and tasty, especially the fries The price-performance ratio is right here Thank you keep it up

I'm pleased I found this restaurant. Located away from the main tourist areas, the ambience was nice, food was tasty, and the service was quick. The restaurant wasn't busy either, which for a Tuesday lunchtime was nice. I would definitely visit again.

The ambience is getting a bit old. Some extension cables hang on the walls. The service employee says he would be a great pike. Asked if we (5 people) had reservations. The inside of the shop was relatively empty, but the tables outside were well attended. It felt like it took forever until the tables were put together for us. He would probably have served even more customers before us if the boss hadn't pitched in. The food was okay. The portion of spaghetti could have been a little larger. The portions of the burger and tortellini were okay. However, for us it is not a restaurant for a second visit, especially since there are enough other restaurants in the city center.

Good food, decent service, and pleasing atmosphere. The chicken schnitzel had a tasty mushroom sauce, the fries were fresh, and the waiter gladly explained what Spezi is. The waiter was attentive and understanding when we had questions. As tourists for the day, we enjoyed our visit and would go back if we were ever in Bremen again.

Nice restaurant, cozy and also nice service. The tomato soup was great and so we were really looking forward to the main course. Asparagus with Black Forest ham. The ham was good, but I've never had such bad asparagus. It wasn't bite-proof, it was hard. I had the impression that some of it was poorly peeled. Plus it didn't taste like anything, I guess it was just blanched in unseasoned water. Hence the deduction!

The food was delicious, but the service was unfair, the waiter crossed out the amount to be paid with a pen and wrote a larger amount himself, he did not explain why 10% was added to the bill. Another waitress couldn't explain where it came from, and when the waiter finally came he couldn't explain it well, he just said "fuck off" and left without a word...

Nice restaurant with decent food. I ordered the burger and it was, well, a burger. Hard not to enjoy a burger and fries =) Friends ordered the cordon bleu and petto di pollo. Both were fantastic.

I had an exceptionally good experience at Restaurant September. The extremely friendly staff gave my visit a pleasant touch. The food was not only delicious, but also prepared with a precision that is rarely found. The cozy ambience created a welcoming atmosphere that rounded off the evening perfectly. The generous portions reflected excellent value for money. A dining experience that exceeded my expectations.

We ate there three times during our stay in Bremen. Top service staff, everyone is very attentive and extremely nice.😊 Changes in food or drinks are no problem at all. Comfortable seating is possible inside and outside. Kind regards from the Eschwegians.

Terrible deep fryer food... three kinds of schnitzel (also fried and not sautéed in the pan) -> was simply inedible, tasteless and completely dead. Price-performance underground My companion's steak completely missed the cooking point "medium" -> absolutely DEAD... and the pepper sauce was completely tasteless!!! When making a complaint, 0.0 insight or accommodation!!! A ⭐still far too many Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED 🤢

We were there Sunday after the demonstration. It took a while for our food to arrive and the table wasn't wiped down after the visitors in front of us, but the service was still very nice. It's hard when it's full and there's only one person there to handle the tables. The food was okay, the atmosphere was cozy.

Atmosphere like a rustic family-run pub, very sociable. Service, except for one young gentleman with a lot of curly black hair and tattoos, was very friendly, attentive and lovable. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but he was constantly... incompetent for the job and made you feel uncomfortable. Prices for the dishes are reasonable, especially considering the portions. Highly recommended if you want to take a short detour near the city for dinner. The food was delicious, especially the mushrooms and herb butter. The fries are also crispy, that's how it should be. We will be back.

Entenkeule war ok Der Burger schmeckte mir persönlich garnicht... viel zu viel Senf... Pommes waren super, der Salat dazu konnte ich nicht essen... ich bin kein Fan von Essig-Senf Dressing. Der frische Pfefferminz Tee ist klasse. Beim Schwarztee hätte mein Partner den Teebeutel gerne selber rein gemacht. Grog ist war "naja ok" Bedingung war Top. Fazit: Kann man, muss man aber nicht

Something strange. It looks like a good place and people around seemed to enjoy the food. We have received something awful. Chicken wings from stale chicken which the cook attempted to mask with an ungodly amount of salt. On the side there was a salad which was dressed with something stinking like the shaving cream.

Haben dieses Lokal zufällig entdeckt. Das Essen war richtig gut, Preis - Leistung optimal. Der Service erstklassig und freundlich. Obwohl es rappel voll war, klappte der Service ausgezeichnet. Beim nächsten Bremen Besuch, werden wir hier garantiert wieder einkehren. Ich kann dieses Lokal nur empfehlen.

Sehr zu empfehlen, sowohl zum Essen, als auch zum gemütlichen Beisammensein mit Getränken. Fussballübertragung innen und außen, beheizter Biergarten. Personal freundlich und meistens schnell. Die Pizzen und Salate sind absolut zu empfehlen. Wenn wir in Bremen unterwegs sind, müssen wir immer zum September, ohne geht nicht :-)

Heerlijk gegeten, erg vriendelijke dame heeft ons geholpen. Pizza en een mixed grill met beiden 1 drankje voor €38 vinden wij netjes. Aanrader.

Désagréablement surpris par l'addition qui ne correspondait pas à notre commande. En effet une majoration pour le service effectué d'office sans prévenir directement sur le tpe. Certains pays le font mais c'est clairement indiqué sur les cartes. Après renseignements auprès de locaux on nous apprend que ce n'est pas coutumier en Allemagne, on nous a pris ouvertement pour des touristes.

Geht so! Durch Zufall entdeckt! Es war auf den ersten Blick klar das es kein Sterne Restaurant ist! Der Kellner war bemüht, das Essen war passabel. Ich hatte Hähnchenschnitzel mit Champions, dazu welken Salat und salzige Pommes. Wenn man Hunger hat isst man es! Ein weiteres Mal würde ich hier aber nicht Essen.

Essen war sehr lecker und die Preise angemessenen. Das Bier war kalt und die Kellnerin Lea top! Klare Empfehlung Eisern!

Es gab leider Probleme,da Personal kurzfristig ausgefallen war. Aber sonst alles i.O..

Wir haben das Restaurant per Zufall entdeckt. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedieung. Meinem Sohn hat das Schnitzel mega geschmeckt, die Pommes waren sehr knusprig. Die Mittagskarte war sehr ansprechend. Schönes Ambiente, gemütlich und rustikal. Sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Das Schnitzelangebot schmeckt wie der Preis. Der Salat war braun und das ganze Gericht war allenfalls sättigend. Schnitzel war ein Fertigprodukt was man auch deutlich geschmeckt hat.. 3 Bedienungen, 2 Herren wirkten genervt aber die nette Dame hat ein Lächeln raus gebracht..Lob an sie.

Wir sind jeweils spontan zweimal abends hier gelandet. Am ersten Abend gab’s leckeres Hefeweizen vom Faß mit sehr netter Bedienung, am zweiten Abend haben wir hier dann sehr gut gegessen. Das Rumpsteak mit grüner Pfeffersauce, die Knusper-Kartoffelpfanne und die Folienkartoffel-Pute kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Wunderbares Essen und ein toller Service. Was will man mehr? Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Location mit Innen und Aussenplätzen.Wir waren mit angekündigter grosser Gruppe da mit Essensvorbestellung.Hat leider nicht so gut geklappt ..die Servicekräfte waren mit 34 Leuten wohl überfordert .Vielleicht klappt es mit wenigen Gästen wohl besser.Das Essen hat mir geschmeckt.Die Luft war zum schneiden .dafür aber grosser TV zum schauen

Für ein Gruppentreffen für ca. 40 Personen suchten wir eine geeignete Location. Die Speisen wurden vorher in einer Liste angekündigt und am selben Abend noch einmal zur Vorsicht abgefragt. Leider hatte der Platz nicht wirklich ausgereicht, obwohl dann doch ein paar weniger gekommen sind als angemeldet. Das Essen ließ etwas auf sich warten. In diesen eineinhalb Stunden gab es ein Getränk. Als fad Essen dann kam, fing das Chaos an. Einige waren falsch oder nicht richtig zubereitet. Die Servicekräfte reagierten leider etwas schroff und unverständlich. Auch nach dem Essen wurde nicht wirklich darauf geachtet, wer noch was wie zu trinken haben möchte. Zumindest die Lachs Penne war okay. Vielleicht waren es als Gruppe einfach zu viele Personen auf einmal. Wenn man dies aber nicht handhaben kann, sollte man keine Zusagen machen. Eigentlich schade. Die Location ist eigentlich recht toll, auch wenn sie nicht an der Weser liegt und der gewisse Flair fehlt. Bei dem Service war man dann leider auch nicht bereit entsprechendes Trinkgeld zu geben, was an sich schon traurig genug ist.

Wir waren mit unserer großen Gruppe hier , mit der wir einmal im Monat essen gehen . Vier Wochen im voraus waren wir angemeldet und es wurde gesagt, dass es kein Problem sei, eine so große Gruppe (ca 30) unterzubringen. Leider war das doch ein Problem ! Zum Glück sind mehrere Personen nicht erschienen und so konnten wir uns dann noch an die Tische quetschen . Auch, dass E-Mails nicht durchkommen, weil das Postfach voll ist ist ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit wenn man doch ein paar Tage vorher die genaue Personenzahl und die Essensbestellung per Mail durchgeben soll. Trotz Vorbestellung musste ich länger auf mein essen warten, als diejenigen, die noch vor Ort Essen bestellt haben . Und ich hatte nur Bratkartoffeln! Womit wir beim Essen wären: mein Hauptgericht, nämlich Bratkartoffeln mit Spiegeleiern musste man mit der Lupe suchen . Für mich war das gerade mal eine Beilage !! Und die Spiegeleier verbrannt. Andere Essen wurde falsch gebracht oder es wurde angezweifelt , dass das Steak durch anstatt medium ist. Absolutes no go!!! Aufmerksam waren die Mitarbeiter leider auch nicht. Man guckt lieber zur Tür raus als zu sehen, dass unsere Gläser leer sind. Nun gut, dann haben wir eben andere Gläser in einem anderen Lokal füllen lassen . Wir lassen immer sehr viel Umsatz da, aber das war wohl nicht gewollt. Schade eigentlich

Fischplatte für 2 Personen ist sehr lecker.

Ich hatte weit im Voraus (4 Wochen) zum 2.9. für ca. 30 Personen reserviert... Wir sind eine große Gruppe und treffen uns seit 4 Jahren 1x im Monat in wechselnden Lokalen. Der Chef meinte erst noch, leider Großspurig wie sich zeigte, 30-40 Leute sind kein Problem, doch es traf genau das Gegenteil ein. Es find schon damit an dass das E-Mail Konto, was auf der Homepage angegeben ist, meine finale Anmeldung (5 Tage vorher) wegen ,,Überlastung" nicht empfangen konnte. Also müsste ich telefonisch nach einer anderen Adresse fragen, da kam die Mail dann auch an aber würde wohl nicht gelesen denn ich wurde 2x am Telefon gefragt wieviele Leute denn final kommen würden. Es ging dann weiter dass nicht mal für alle hergerichtet war, zum Glück kamen ein paar nicht. Der Service war ziemlich Überfordert, was uns gegenüber auch geäußert wurde. Im großen und ganzen war das essen zwar lecker, aber es ging einiges daben. Es kamen falsche Essen, manches essen wurde vergessen oder brauchte ewig, es stimmten manche Garstufen nicht, es wurde über Medium Rare diskutiert (no-gos) und es war alles per Mail vorbestellt, sodass man genug Vorbereitungszeit hatte. Getränke wurden falsch angekündigt (es gibt einen Unterschied zwischen Bier und Alkoholfreies Bier), uns wurde wenig Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt und der Laden war noch nicht voll. Lediglich die spendierten Schnäpse haben es ein wenig gemindert. Aber die Stimmung war dahin sodass wir direkt nach dem Essen wieder gegangen sind, eigentlich bleiben wir ziemlich lange und verzehren auch gut. Aber leider zeigte sich dass sie so einer Gruppengröße doch nicht gewachsen sind bzw waren, trotzt vorheriger Selbstsicherheit.
