I've eaten bibimbap in many places, and Seoul is no exception. However, the bibimbap here is the most delicious. So good that I ate it all up. 😭😭😭I will miss here forever, waiting for next time

It's been three years since my last visit to Seoul – high time for an update. Making a reservation by phone is easy and highly recommended, as even on this early All Saints' Day evening, many tables are quickly occupied. There are four of us, and we inform the friendly and efficient staff that we'd like to continue on to the theater in 90 minutes. That's no problem either. The concise menu offers main courses between €19 and €24 in varying degrees of spiciness. I choose "Bibimbap Jeyuk (various vegetables with rice, pork (Bulgogi style), fried egg, and Korean soy sauce)," for an extra €2 in the "special" version. This version is served in a hot clay pot, which is supposed to result in more roasted flavors. While this isn't quite achieved here, it's still a tasty dish for a moderate appetite. The rest of our group enjoys it as well. The dessert selection, however, is rather disappointing. Many items were unavailable that evening, and two small scoops of green tea ice cream with a dollop of whipped cream were simply absurdly overpriced at €8.50. Inside, it's stylishly furnished, and we sat under a tiled roof. The menu offers Korean and Japanese cuisine. Main courses range from eleven to twenty-one euros, and there's also a more affordable lunch menu. The service is impeccable. As a complimentary starter, we were served various pickled vegetables. I began with a mix of two each of Gunmandu (Korean dumplings filled with chicken and vegetables), Gimmari (deep-fried glass noodles in seaweed with soy sauce), and Ebi Tempura (deep-fried shrimp). The main course was Haemulbokkum (seared sliced ​​squid with shrimp and vegetables), accompanied by an unspecified sake at room temperature. As a lover of home-cooked Korean cuisine, I can only give it two stars. I went to this Korean restaurant with high hopes, even though my Korean friend had advised against it. Unfortunately, I have to say, she was right. The experience was disappointing: the flavors weren't authentic, and the prices were way too high for the quality and portions. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone familiar with Korean cuisine.

The real highlight, however, is undoubtedly the food. Every dish is freshly prepared, presented with great attention to detail, and captivates with the authentic flavors of Korean cuisine. Whether classics like bulgogi or various soups and grilled dishes – everything tastes excellent and makes you want to try something new. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Korean cuisine or would like to try it.

We ordered bulgogi with a table grill. It was delicious, but the portions were very small—especially for the price. Describing the garnish on the dessert plate as "with strawberry sauce" is almost outrageous. After ordering, it was virtually impossible to get the attention of any of the service staff—to ask for the menu again and pay, you had to stand up and wave, even though the staff kept walking past you.

I would like to say that it was such a wonderful meal that I felt like I was eating it in Korea while I was eating lunch. As a Korean, I was surprised to hear a familiar Korean song playing in Germany. ha ha ha. Thanks to the owner who spoke Korean, I had a comfortable meal.

Culinary excellent. The visit came about through an invitation. Positively surprised. Interior like an old house with a view of roof tiles which you wouldn't expect from the outside. Food was super great. If you like Korean cuisine you should definitely go here. If you are visiting with several people, it makes sense to reserve a table.

Die asiatische Küche in ihrer ganzen Breite, ist in vielerlei Hinsicht genau meins: eine unglaubliche Vielfalt an Geschmäckern, frischen Kräuter und exotischen Gewürzen, dazu eine gehörigen Portion Umami und der Dreiklang von scharf, süß und sauer. All das hat uns bei unserem Besuch im Restaurant Seoul jedoch leider gefehlt. Der "Pfannkuchen" mit Meeresfrüchte war ohne Höhen und Tiefen, fast schon Fade. Die zwei verschiedenen Bimbimbab's hauten auch keinen vom Hocker. Am besten war noch die Vorspeise 3er Mix. Exotische Gewürze, frische Kräuter und viel Umami? Fehlanzeige! Schärfe soll man sich per separat gereichter Chili-Soße selbst dazu tun - das ist Schade. Denn 18/19 € pro Gericht sind kein Pappenstil (für so wenig Kochen). Für die Location und den freundlichen Service gibt es immerhin 4,5 Sterne. Für die Kulinarik leider nur 2,5 Sterne. In Summe also 3,5 Sterne. Die Note 3,5 kann man hier nicht vergeben, deshalb wird Aufgerundet: auf sehr, sehr freundlich gemeinte 4 Sterne.

As a Korean born and raised for 27 years, I can assure you that the food here is as authentic as the ones you try in Korea. The owners are always smiling and welcoming you with great, top-notch service! Also I love the agmostphere and they play K-pops that makes you feel like you are in Korea.

I've been to the Seoul here in Pforzheim several times and so far I've always loved it! There is a great selection of Korean dishes, all of which I have enjoyed so far. The restaurant also looks really cozy and you can linger for a while.
