Sen Viet BBQ & Soup in Magdeburg

We went for lunch on a Sunday. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was very good. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Very tasty Vietnamese food. I can recommend it!! The open kitchen is a great pastime for children, but we didn't have to wait long for our food. The Vietnamese cocktails are very tasty and the little ones also enjoyed them.

Unfortunately, on February 14, 2025, the team completely lost track. Despite reservations and confirmation of the same, we had to wait outside the door with other hopeful guests. After waiting for half an hour without any change in the situation, we went to the Italian restaurant opposite and got a table there without any problems. We can therefore not make a judgment about the food and ambience.

Unfortunately, the kitchen has deteriorated badly over the last year.

When we made a reservation, we weren't even able to express our "concern" at first and had to wait 30 minutes before a table became available. Absolutely disappointing and not necessarily a recommendation. I'm sure I'll find something better on my next visit to Magdeburg.

On my last visit I was served turkey meat instead of chicken breast. When I asked, they vehemently insisted that it was chicken breast that had been specially marinated. It certainly wasn't.

Sehr authentisch, asiatische Gerichte. Immer sehr frisch zubereitet auch mit frischen Zutaten. Guter Blick in die Küche im unteren Restaurantbereich möglich. Dadurch wird deutlich, dass mit ischen Fleisch -, Fisch - und Gemüsezutaten gekocht wird. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und flexibel. Auch "Sonderwünsche" bei der Essenszubereitung werden sehr gerne berücksichtigt. Auch als Gast, der häufig das Restaurant besucht, ist immer noch etwas Neues aus dem Menü zu entdecken.

Sen Viet is Vietnamese/Asian oriented. The ambience is very nice, the food/quality of the food is excellent and the service is very friendly. The price-performance ratio is very good. There is also something for vegans and vegetarians.

Many thanks to the Sen Viet BBQ team for the lovely evening on the occasion of my birthday. We were a group of 13 people, everything went great, the food was really tasty and there was something for everyone. We'd love to come back, even on special occasions.

We have been guests several times and have always been thrilled. This time, on a Saturday evening, it was unfortunately sobering. It was absolutely 100% full and therefore the service was quite slow and careless. It was just a matter of working through it. Unfortunately, the food was also disappointing. The otherwise always perfect tuna - far too thin and well-done. The grill plate for 2 - at least €43 - a salad plate with a small halved rump steak and 4 small chicken skewers. Overall, you can see that there are significant savings in the use of goods. Unfortunately, this is disappointing given the prices quoted. I think we'll stop for now...

Five of us went to Sen Viet for dinner for the first time on a Saturday. The online reservation worked great; we were able to choose the floor and the table ourselves. The food was super tasty, very good Asian cuisine. Very nice, modern atmosphere and the waiters were very attentive and extremely friendly. We'd love to come back!

We were denied the hot pot ("not on weekends", there is nothing about that on the menu, the tables should probably be freed up as quickly as possible). The alternatively ordered meal took about 50 minutes and was only lukewarm, but okay.

I can't understand the good reviews here or the photos. I ordered vegetarian wok vegetables. This was supposed to be spicy, but it was essentially a small selection of vegetables in broth and hardly tasted like anything. Only when we asked did the waiter bring fresh, sliced ​​chilies, which were actually very hot. My dish wasn't particularly pleasing to the eye, and my fellow diners' food was also prepared, but not particularly. The tables have a bit of a tavern atmosphere, also a bit sterile. There are better Vietnamese restaurants in Magdeburg that are also cheaper.

It looked good, tasted good, but lacked spice. The waiter who brought the food spilled our tea and all over my companion's things. Yes, it can happen! But lead the way with a napkin and not even bring new tea? Honestly... ... our table was too high. I have no idea what kind of table it was, but being 187 cm tall, I had to put my elbows on the table. That's how high he was. Otherwise, as I said, go there!

We were there as a family. All starters, main courses and drinks were very well prepared. The service was quick and friendly. The interior is modern and appealing. There is a star deduction for the seat height of the chairs being too low, which greatly reduces the enjoyment of eating. Bring a pillow 😁

We had dinner there with 6 people this evening and we were all very satisfied. We paid around €30-40 per person for a cocktail, starters and main courses. Everything was super tasty and prepared to perfection. We had both vegetarians/vegans and meat eaters among us and everyone found something for themselves. The service was also very friendly and competent. We'd love to come back!

This was our favorite Asian restaurant so far... We were seated on the terrace at 7 p.m. today and about half of the tables were free. The waitress darted around, taking orders from neighboring tables, bringing food and... ignoring us. After 15 minutes we received the menus and then the same game. Even after asking personally at the counter and asking to place the order, nothing happened for another 25 minutes. We then left the restaurant and unfortunately now have to look for a new favorite restaurant. A pity!

Food was nothing special. It was clear that ready-made frozen vegetables were used. Service was okay as it was very busy. We sat outside and constantly had flies and wasps at the table. Very expensive compared to other Vietnamese restaurants.

A restaurant with an open kitchen. Rich selection in the food and drink menu. The dishes are freshly prepared. They come to the table hot and in large portions. Unfortunately the plates weren't preheated, so the food didn't stay hot for long. The service was good. The ambience is modern and sophisticated.

One of my favorite restaurants in Magdeburg... very tasty food, sophisticated menu - I am very enthusiastic about Vietnamese cuisine! I also really like the fact that I can always find different small portions. Even as a solo traveler, I always feel comfortable here and you really can't say that about many restaurants! We were a larger group (15 people) and ordered in advance and registered this two days in advance, directly with the boss. He confirmed the changes, but they were ignored on the day of the meal and the waitress didn't really want to understand it and then discussed it... Competence looks different.
