Good restaurant. We ordered different dishes and they were all very good, but not great either. But what was top was our service. A young waiter who constantly looked after you and was always funny and nice. The atmosphere is cool, so you should definitely try it out.

I ate there twice, the last time at the beginning of the year. The food was good, the atmosphere was very nice. Yesterday shortly before 10 p.m. I asked my girlfriend and a friend if we could use the toilet. I made it clear in the first sentence that I would pay for it (it was urgent for me; original sound: “I would give you something in return”). The employee pointed to the public toilet next door. After I told her that I was there and that both the toilet and the one in the city park were closed, she seemed incredulous to me. The employee then told me that the restaurant was closed. According to the Internet, the restaurant is open until 10:30 p.m. - the door was open, the light was on. Of course, no host is obliged to let passers-by use the toilet. Nevertheless, it is difficult for me to understand - even with reference to financial compensation. I find it unfriendly and highly lacking in solidarity. In short: I will definitely not visit the restaurant again for dinner.

Super nice staff. The food was super tasty. A very nice atmosphere. We recommend.

The ambience and service were top. Unfortunately not the food. The lukewarm glass noodle salad with hoisin sauce is not recommended. The noodles are sticky and overall the dish is totally over-seasoned. The lemongrass chicken didn't convince us either, it had a bland taste and the meat was dry.

After living in Magdeburg for a year I feel sad that I did not explore this gem before. On my last week in Magdeburg, my friends and I had a nice goodbye meal at this lovely restaurant, and everything from the ambience to the service was outstanding. The Appetizers were both a good portion as well as delicious. I went for the grilled chicken leg which was served with a generous portion of rice and sauces. To wash it all down we went for the refreshing ice teas and they did not disappoint. A special shout out to the red ginger ice tea. This place also has a good range of vegan menus and they too were impeccable. Overall it was a very nice experience with great service and quality food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for some authentic Vietnamese food.

Went here for dinner with my friends. One of the best dining experiences in recent times for us. The food was on point. The variety of options to choose from were endless. I ended up ordering the glass noodle tofu salad as the appetizer and the vegan duck Main course dish with finger-licking-good gravy. For drink, I ordered the Ingwer Tee which was amazing to say the least. The staff was super friendly and approachable. Checked on us with some tips and points each time. Over-all, it was a really good experience. Highly recommend this place at Hasselbach.

A definitely underrated place. Super friendly service and an almost overwhelming selection of (delicious) food and drinks. It's almost a bit of a shame that you can't try everything at once. My highlight was the lychee shake (vegan, based on coconut milk) and the tofu skewers in peanut sauce as a starter (crispy and delicately fried, very lovingly prepared, absolute taste experience). Good mix of vegan and non-vegan dishes (vegan duck is also offered). Really moderate prices, the portions fill you up well. If not, there are suitable desserts ;)

In any case. Very nice, committed young people. The food was well prepared and tasted very good. Lots of exotic spices and fresh ingredients...highly recommended.

Bistro sounds a bit strange, small and rancid, but that can't be applied here. It's a bit smaller but very comfortable. The food is great. I can absolutely recommend the salad and the Pho Ga! Very happy again!

We were there for the first time. Very nicely decorated, super friendly, lunch special was very tasty.

The four of us had a very nice evening with delicious starters, great main courses and at least a dessert... (the other 3 of us were already full.) The service was very attentive and there were no questions about the dishes or any wishes left unfulfilled. The food was light and delicious!

I was there yesterday with a colleague. We got a place quite spontaneously and even a better one because my dog ​​was with me. So we had a nice place where the dog could lie comfortably in a corner. Under a new name in the old location, South Vietnamese cuisine is preferred. Our meal, starter soup and main course (wok vegetables with shrimp in the photo) were very well seasoned. There are great drinks, including non-alcoholic ones. The service was quick and very accommodating. Thank you!

One of my favorite restaurants in Magdeburg that I discovered unplanned! What should be highlighted here are the selection of vegan dishes, the service and the ambience. There are vegan alternatives to a large number of dishes that taste really good and are inexpensive at the same time. We were extremely impressed with the service as they were particularly friendly. The ambience is very stylish and not too overwhelming. Therefore a big recommendation, especially for vegan people.

We were here for lunch. We really liked the redesign of the guest room. Food and drinks were tasty and offered at reasonable prices.

Before the renovation, we regularly ate at the Orchidee restaurant. It's been authentic Vietnamese cuisine so far. Now the operator has changed. Completely interchangeable menu, like any other of the 20 most Asian restaurants within 300 m. It tasted average, like any snack bar. Unfortunately, the worst thing is the facility. I haven't seen something so tasteless and uncomfortable in a long time. I find it difficult that the new restaurant here benefits from the good reviews of the previous operator.

The restaurant could do with some modernization now, it's a bit old-fashioned. The food was okay, but a few years ago it was more aromatic, more really fresh, crunchy vegetables in the dishes and more choice.

New restaurant with Vietnamese cuisine in Magdeburg. The selection of food and drinks is huge. The restaurant also offers lunch. The prices are fair. I paid just under 25 euros for a starter, main course and drink. The food was very tasty. Paying is easy with a credit card.

Sehr lecker und die Portionen sind völlig in Ordnung. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis super.

Das Orchidee ist uns zufällig aufgefallen als wir mal gegenüber auf den Spielplatz wollten. Das extrem schöne Ambiente von außen hatte uns neugierig gemacht. Als wir nun Besuch von außerhalb hatten wollten wir es mal ausprobieren gehen. Was soll ich sagen, es war ein rundum gelungener Abend. Das Essen war authentisch, super lecker und auch schnell serviert worden. Gleiches gilt für die Getränke. Aber das Sahnehäubchen an dem Abend war der Gastgeber/Servicemitarbeiter. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen, es wurden Späßchen mit uns gemacht und wir wurden bei jedem einzelnem Gang super beraten. Hier waren wir definitiv nicht zum letzten Mal. Wir hoffen, dass ihr ganz lange bestehen bleibt. Macht weiter so 👍❤️

Sehr sehr lecker. Viel Gemüse. Sehr schneller Service. Tolle Atmosphäre. Hier muss jeder ein Mal essen gehen, der die vietnamesische Küche liebt!

Essen ist sehr lecker. Muss man mal probieren. Service ist schnell, nett und für alle Fragen - zwecks essen offen. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Wir waren nach der Wiedereröffnung da und alles war sehr schön eingerichtet. Auch die überdachte Terrasse war schön hergerichtet. Das Essen war lecker. Da wir so kurz nach der Wiedereröffnung da waren, hatten sie leider ein paar Sachen von der Karte leider noch nicht, aber die Bedienung war dann so freundlich und hat ein paar andere Gerichte empfohlen. Generell war die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden wieder kommen.

Das Fazit gleich zu Beginn. Ich vermisse die "alte" Orchidee. Deren Speisekarte hat hat sich von den anderen vietnamesischen Restaurants im Umkreis unterschieden. In der "neuen" Orchidee gibt's ein sehr ähnliches Angebot wie in vier, fünf anderen Restaurants im Umkreis von 200m auch. Schade... Nichts neues eben. Die Bedienung ist superfreundlich, der Service schnell, das Ambiente ist schöner als vorher.

Unser Stammvietnamese..... freundlich und sehr sehr lecker... Vor 5 Jahren. Nach dem Inhaberwechsel vor ca. 6 Monaten waren wir gestern dort und echt überrascht! Alles wurde umgestaltet,dass muss man echt mögen. Was für uns leider nicht mehr ging, war das Essen. Auf dem Tisch fand man typische chinesische Zusatzstoffe zum würzen. Ich hatte Reis Nudeln, völlig fettig und kaum mit Gemüse. Die Sommerrollen enthielten 80 %Nudeln. Die Nudelsuppe war allerdings OK. Wir haben gerade die gesunde und frische vietnamesische Küche geliebt, doch davon ist das Orchidee jetzt leider weit entfernt. Schmeckt im Grunde jetzt wie bei jedem normalen Chinaimbiss. Die Internetseite wurde noch nicht bearbeitet, es zeigt noch die alte Karte und die alten Besitzer.

Nach Inhaberwechsel und Neueröffnung (unter dem gleichen Namen) im August 2023 waren wir nun das erste Mal da. Es ist so viel schöner und gemütlicher als vorher, großartig! Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und es gibt eine große Auswahl an veganen und vegetarischen Gerichten, vegane Ente zum Beispiel. Mein Highlight waren die mit Hackfleisch gefüllten Tintenfische als Vorspeise. Hab ich noch nie irgendwo gesehen dieses Gericht. Viele verschiedene Nachtische und wer blauen Tee möchte, wird hier auch fündig.

Super leckeres Essen zu einem fairen Preis. Wir haben leider etwas länger auf das Essen warten müssen, allerdings dafür auch eine Erklärung erhalten, daher gibt es trotzdem 5 Sterne!

Food quality at this place is comparable with the authentic taste we have been experiencing on a round trip across Vietnam. "Sommerröllchen-Reis" as an appetizer is an innovative creation. Reisnudel-Suppe is a hit.

Ich liebe das Essen im Restaurant Orchidee einfach. Wir gehen dort schon seit einigen Jahren sehr gerne essen. Das Essen ist immer frisch zubereitet, mit frischen Kräutern gewürzt und unverwechselbar im Geschmack. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind immer sehr freundlich und wir mussten noch nie lange auf unser Essen warten. Für Vegetarier und Veganer ist auch genug Auswahl, was mich besonders freut.

Ich war schon oft mit Freunden im Orchidee und bislang immer sehr zufrieden. Das Restaurant ist zwar einfach eingerichtet, aber die Küche frisch, authentisch vietnamesisch zubereitet und der Service sehr freundlich. Ganz zu schweigen von den sehr, sehr fairen Preisen. Außerdem habe ich das Orchidee auch schon auf sehr großen und kleinen Veranstaltungen als Caterer erlebt und nun auch selbst für meinen Geburtstag gebucht. Jegliche Vorlieben - vegan, vegetarisch, Fleisch sind umsetzbar. Das Team hat uns ein sehr, sehr faires Angebot gemacht. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren sehr flexibel, zuverlässig und aufmerksam. Allen Gästen hat das Essen geschmeckt. Ein rundum gelungener Service! Weiter so!
