Sela's Vegetable Kebab in Karlsruhe

Unfortunately there was no food. The service was also great and friendly. We just wanted something gluten-free. A box of fries with some vegetables would have been nice and completely sufficient. The boss insisted (sitting in the background) that he could only offer us fries. So explicitly no vegetables. We decided to turn around and grab something to eat at the Oxford opposite. Thank you very much :)

The kebab tastes very good and for me it is the best in the city. The customer has the choice between vegetarian or meat. In both variations, the kebab is topped with Mediterranean, fried vegetables and of course also with the usual ingredients such as onions, lettuce, etc. The bread is very crispy and is prepared in a sandwich toaster, which I like much better than homemade bread. The price is currently €8, which is definitely justified. By the way: Nowadays you pay either the same or even more for a standard kebab. Accordingly, the price-performance ratio is good. The only thing I think is a shame is that the option to eat on site no longer exists, for whatever reason. The customer sees that theoretically there is space in the store, but it has been cordoned off. This is not very ideal, especially during the autumn and winter, which is why I deducted one star from the overall rating and even two from the “Service” point. Conclusion: All in all, it sells good food with fresh side dishes, and the employees are also very friendly and accommodating.

You're more than happy to pay €8 for a vegetable kebab like this! I'm really excited about the variety that's on offer here in contrast to many other classic "döner kebab shops" and I personally can enjoy a kebab like this without a guilty conscience. It's worth it!

We usually go to Selas often and I always order the kebab box, but today I was horrified to discover that there was a piece of blue plastic in the box. Luckily I noticed it and didn't eat but I can't continue eating. Shame about the money :(

For me it's pretty much the best kebab shop in Karlsruhe and the surrounding area..... and I won't go there again because: we repeatedly stood in front of the closed door. It's happened to my entire clique at least once now. Opening times are a quality feature. We come specially and he's closed. It's a shame, then without us. Regarding your answer I own my own business and I stick to my stated opening hours. I owe that to my customers. And it's the 4th time this year for me. If this always happens to YOU ​​after 7 p.m.... YOU should reconsider your opening hours.

One thing in advance: the kebabs are great and the price is reasonable. However, today I found myself standing in front of closed doors for the fourth time in the evening (between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.), even though the signs said it was supposed to be open. It also said that this can happen if the skewer is empty, but today I saw it being wrapped in cling film. So guys, if you want to go there in the evening because it was a really bad day and you're just hungry: chances are your day will be even worse. I've had enough for now.

The best kebab of my life! I don't know where you eat kebab - but if you live in the area and it's not at Sela's, then you're doing something wrong. Several sauces, fried vegetables, soft cheese... everything that is missing from the typical standard kebab but should definitely be included! There at least once a week.

We just had a vegetable kebab there, it was very tasty. Just something different than the usual "doner kebab-like". Lots of fresh vegetables, with chickpeas and a squeeze of lemon on top. Unfortunately it was very popular and we had to wait, which is also a good sign. Unfortunately, since they are currently renovating, there were no toilets. Highly recommended. Not your normal snack kebab and that's exactly why it's worth five stars! All the ingredients are really tasty and well balanced, the hot sauce is tasty and at €8 the kebab is fairly priced for me.

I was in this shop today and ordered the falafel plate. The taste was excellent and the ratio of falafel to fries and salad was very balanced. The sauces were also very tasty. You get full without being overfed. The atmosphere is pleasant and I was served quickly. The order was delivered quickly and payment was made in advance. I will definitely eat there again. It's a popular spot, so it's advisable to go there at a quieter time. Overall a good place for lunch.

Well, unfortunately I didn't like it that much. A big negative point is, for example, that the bread is not freshly baked in-house. That just makes a big difference in terms of taste. The fried vegetables are okay, but they are heavy on the stomach and the yufka becomes extremely greasy. In addition, only cash payment is possible without handing over a receipt... that leaves a strange aftertaste for me...

Das Essen war lecker aber nur Bargeld akzeptieren 2023 geht nicht. Das ist nicht kundenfreundlich und hat auch einen komischen Beigeschmack. Gegenüber gibt es zwar eine Bank aber man zahlt fast fünf Euro für die Abhebung. Nachbessern!

Le kebab est vraiment très bon, fait avec des ingrédients de meilleurs qualités que dans la plupart des autres restaurants à Kebab.

Guter Falafel Döner mit mehr als nur den Standardzutaten. Z.B war automatisch Kartoffeln, Schafskäse und Pepperonis drinnen. Außerdem gab es 3 Soßen…eine davon war denke ich Aivar 👍

Der mit Abstand beste Döner den ich in den letzten Jahren gegessen habe. Der Döner ist voll mit leckerem Gemüse, welches man so in der Form in keinem anderen Dönerladen in Karlsruhe bekommt. Auch sehr angenehm ist die schöne Inneneinrichtung! Jederzeit wieder!

He estado un par de veces en Selas, a menudo para un kebab para llevar. Los kebabs son realmente sabrosos: con buena carne, feta, salsas sabrosas, verduras a la parrilla. El restaurante también es muy bueno, con un ambiente agradable. No entiendo las malas críticas, definitivamente recomendaría este restaurante!

Auf der Suche nach einem Abendessen sind wir bei Sela‘s gelandet. Ich habe mich dort für den Gemüse-Kebap entschieden, was sich als sehr gute Wahl herausgestellt hat. Dieser wird mit Hähnchenfleisch gefüllt. Ich tue mich oft etwas schwer mit Hähnchenfleisch, denn nicht gut gemacht kann dies schnell eine fade Angelegenheit werden. In diesem Fall ganz anders: Durch verschiedenes Gemüse, zwei unterschiedliche Soßen und knuspriges Hähnchen war der Döner einfach lecker. Ich habe ihn mit Appetit bis zum Schluss gegessen.

Haben uns Speisen zum Mitnehmen geholt. Der Chef war nicht da, sondern eine Aushilfe. Der hat aber leider das Einmaleins der Hygiene nicht beherrscht und falls er jemals eine Schulung beim Gesundheitsamt gemacht hat, alles wieder vergessen. Die Salatzange wurde für alle Zutaten verwendet, also alles an Salat/Gemüse, Fleisch sowie auf für den vegetarischen Döner. Sorry Leute, aber das geht nicht!!!!!! Um 19 Uhr war die Kasse aus. Alibimäßig hingen zwar ein paar Kassenbons heraus. Das Wechselgeld befand sich links neben der Kasse. Das ist Steuerhinterziehung und somit kriminell!!!! Wir alle müssen unsere Steuern zahlen und genau solche Läden sind der Grund dafür, weswegen wir jetzt alle überall die Bonpflicht haben und noch mehr Müll produzieren (ja, Essen zum Mitnehmen produziert auch Müll, ich weiß). Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Betrug am Finanzamt schmeckt uns dagegen gar nicht. Schämt euch!
