Absolut empfehlenswert! Das Essen war unglaublich lecker, der Service super aufmerksam und die Bedienung extrem freundlich und nett. Ein absolutes Highlight ist das hausgemachte Lavas-Brot: Es schmeckt fantastisch und wird immer frisch gebacken und warm serviert. Die Atmosphäre ist zudem so angenehm und einladend – man vergisst hier wirklich sehr schnell, dass man mitten in Duisburg-Marxloh ist. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Ich war am 14.06.2026 mit einer Begleitung dort essen. Der Laden war zu diesem Zeitpunkt nur etwa zu einem Drittel gefüllt. Wir hatten uns zunächst an einen Tisch am Fenster gesetzt, der augenscheinlich reserviert war. Nachdem wir rund zehn Minuten lang nicht bedient wurden, bin ich selbst nach vorne gegangen und habe gefragt, ob wir dort sitzen dürfen. Das wurde verneint. Daraufhin fragte ich, ob wir stattdessen an einem der anderen freien Fensterplätze auf der linken Seite sitzen könnten. Auch das wurde abgelehnt, mit der Begründung, dass diese größeren Tische für Familien vorgesehen seien – insbesondere am Wochenende. Obwohl zu diesem Zeitpunkt sämtliche dieser Tische leer waren und das Restaurant weit von einer Auslastung entfernt war, wurde keinerlei Lösung angeboten. Es wurde weder versucht, einen Tisch umzustellen noch irgendein Kompromiss vorgeschlagen. Ich war zuvor schon mehrfach dort und das Essen war immer gut. Umso enttäuschender war dieser Besuch. Es geht mir nicht darum, unbedingt einen bestimmten Tisch zu bekommen, sondern darum, wie mit Gästen umgegangen wird. Bei einem fast leeren Restaurant hätte ich etwas mehr Flexibilität und vor allem einen serviceorientierten Umgang erwartet. Deshalb sind wir schließlich gegangen, ohne etwas zu essen. Schade.

Alles war wunderbar, die Aromen waren hervorragend.

Wir waren letztes Mal zum ersten Mal hier. Das Essen ist gut. Unser einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Unaufmerksamkeit der Kellner. Wir saßen auf der hinteren Terrasse, aber es kam und ging niemand. Wir mussten aufstehen und fragen, ob das Restaurant voll sei. Ansonsten war es in Ordnung. Wir kommen heute wieder und schauen, wie es läuft.

Die Portionen sind für den Preis und die Lage sehr groß, die Portionen sind extrem klein. Wir bestellten Lahmacun ohne Salat, aber es wurde uns mit Salat berechnet. Als wir sagten, dass wir keinen Salat wollten, meinte die Kassiererin, der Salat sei bereits am Tisch gewesen, deshalb hätten sie ihn uns berechnet! Dabei ist Salat kostenlos, und selbst wenn man Suppe bestellt, wird der Salat immer serviert!

Ich habe schon an vielen Orten Lahmacun gegessen, aber für mich gibt es hier ganz klar den besten Lahmacun in Deutschland. Der Teig ist schön dünn und knusprig, der Belag super gewürzt und alles schmeckt einfach frisch. Aber nicht nur das Lahmacun ist top. Die Suppe war richtig lecker und die Grillgerichte können sich ebenfalls sehen lassen. Das Fleisch ist saftig, perfekt gegrillt und geschmacklich einfach klasse. Dazu kommt noch das freundliche Personal und der schnelle Service. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Wer auf gute türkische Küche steht, sollte hier unbedingt vorbeischauen. Für mich jedes Mal einen Besuch wert!

Wir haben im Şelale Ocakbaşı gegessen und waren wirklich sehr zufrieden. Alle Gerichte waren frisch, heiß und unglaublich lecker. Besonders das Fleisch war perfekt gegrillt und sehr geschmackvoll. Auch die Vorspeisen waren von hoher Qualität und sehr lecker. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Das Restaurant war sauber und die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ebenfalls top. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können dieses Restaurant jedem empfehlen, der gutes türkisches Essen liebt.

Essen leider nicht mehr so gut wie früher, Portionen kleiner. Was unverschämt ist, nehmen Gebühr bei Kartenzahlung. Heutzutage geht sowas garnicht.

Das Essen ist köstlich. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Preis ist angemessen.

Die Damen neben mir total unwohl gefühlt durch die Blicke von dem Arbeiter hinter der thecke bzw Küche. Essen ist 👍 Zur weiter Empfehlung .... mehr als 3 mal überlegen

Die Preise sind unglaublich hoch, für die Lage und das Ambiente ist das meines Erachtens nach überhaupt nicht gerechtfertigt. Auch die Portionen sind sehr überschaubar.

Während des Ramadan leider nicht empfehlenswert. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten unfreundlich und teilweise sehr unaufmerksam. Das Essen kam verspätet, obwohl die Preise relativ hoch sind. Die Portionen zum Beispiel beim gemischten Grillteller waren sehr klein. Zudem war die Atmosphäre ziemlich laut. Der Salat schien nicht richtig gewaschen zu sein, man konnte noch Erde daran sehen. Geschmacklich war das Essen zwar gut, aber insgesamt stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis so leider nicht!

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe im Şelale Ocakbaşı in Duisburg-Marxloh zum Iftar im Ramadan. Wir hatten vorher reserviert und extra telefonisch gefragt, ob wir aus der normalen Speisekarte bestellen können. Am Telefon wurde uns das bestätigt. Vor Ort wurden wir dann trotzdem verpflichtet, die teuren Ramadan-Menüs zu nehmen (ca. 25€ für Lahmacun mit Suppe und Baklava, andere Menüs 35–40€), was wir sehr unfair fanden. Der Salat war zudem ungewaschen, auf der Rucola war noch deutlich Erde zu sehen. Der Service war leider auch enttäuschend – einige Kellner sprechen kaum Deutsch und eine Kellnerin war uns gegenüber sehr respektlos und hat uns teilweise ignoriert. Obwohl wir 45 Minuten vor Iftar da waren, kam das Essen erst etwa 40 Minuten nach Iftar, obwohl wir nur Lahmacun bestellt hatten. Außerdem war die Atmosphäre sehr laut und die Portionen eher klein. Geschmacklich war das Essen zwar gut, aber Service, Organisation und Preis-Leistung haben uns leider enttäuscht.

Besuch zu Ramadan (iftar) Leider werden hier nur überteuerte Menüs angeboten (39€ für Grillteller bezahlt Softgetränk ist nochmal extra). Denke mal das ist auch der Grund wieso der Laden nicht komplett voll ist, wie die anderen Läden. Rest war normal und nicht schlecht.

Warum sind die Profile der Leute, denen dieses Lahmacun gefallen hat, privat? Weil alle Bewertungen gefälscht sind. Die Lahmacuns schwimmen im Öl. Wenn es nicht so schlimm gewesen wäre, würde ich etwas anderes schreiben... jedenfalls. Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben so ein schlechtes Lahmacun gesehen. Nie wieder. Meiner ganzen Familie ist übel. Ich werde mich so schnell wie möglich beschweren.

Wir mögen ihr Essen sehr und gehen dort hin, wann immer wir Zeit haben. Hoffentlich bleibt das so 👍

Ich aß Lammspieße mit Pommes frites, Tomaten und Paprika. Die Hälfte des Fleisches war verbrannt, und die Pommes waren verkocht und hart. Der Preis war angemessen. Würde ich persönlich wieder hingehen? Nein.

Es ist immer voll, und das Fleisch ist im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants in Ordnung. Nachtrag: Ich reduziere meine Bewertung von 3 auf 1 Stern. Die Inhaber dieses Restaurants haben versucht, meine Bewertung wegen angeblicher Verleumdung löschen zu lassen. Ich musste Einspruch beim Kontrollzentrum einlegen und habe dadurch viel Zeit verloren. Jegliche weitere Versuche, das Meldesystem zu missbrauchen, werden von meinem Anwalt verfolgt.

Es war einfach perfekt, ein besonderer Dank gilt den Kellnern.

Ich kann deren Lamm-Wokgericht und Lahmacun (türkische Pizza) wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist eines der wenigen Restaurants, die meine Familie und ich regelmäßig und völlig unbesorgt besuchen.

This message is for the owner of the establishment. I think running a business isn't for everyone. Two of us sat down, had a meal, and when we went to pay the bill, they presented a ridiculously large bill. I didn't like it at all. The bill came to 70 Euros and 70 cents. I'm very curious how that 70 cents was added to the bill. I hope the owner learns a lesson from this comment.

I think everything was delicious and beautiful. The attention was also super. I was very pleased.

The food is delicious, but the service is poor. No hello, no seat assignment, no smile... The waiter grills in the background and lets the skewers burn... The salad, bread, and appetizers are excellent and freshly prepared, but the waiter seems out of it. Tables are sprayed with glass cleaner during the meal. We weren't even offered tea, which would have been appropriate after the dry meat. Get a restaurant expert; it looks like a family business where children have to help even if they don't want to...

We arrived with trepidation due to the reviews. But the service was excellent, despite what was said. They came by several times to ask if we needed anything. The lahmacun and lamb ribs were truly delicious. The rice porridge and Adana were a bit salty. But overall, we were satisfied.

The lahmacun were the craziest.

We waited over an hour for our food. The service was absolutely terrible. The portions were really small. Even for nuggets and fries, you waited an hour. The food was served inconsistently. When one person in the group had finished eating, the others got theirs first. I've never experienced anything like it. The music was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation.

It was a disaster. We went out to eat today. Some of our food was forgotten, then it didn't arrive after 1.5 hours. We couldn't wait any longer and canceled our meal. Never again, I wouldn't recommend it.

The portions are disproportionate to the price. The meat quality is good, but the rest of the food leaves much to be desired. The servers seem disorganized and constantly fidget around the table. After ordering, we were even advised not to order a dish because it was supposedly prepared differently and probably wouldn't taste good. This gave the impression that they wanted to serve us quickly and make as little effort as possible. Overall, the food was mediocre, sometimes lukewarm, and disappointing in taste. The servers were pleasant and friendly.

Today was the last time I was at your place! I've been there three times now, and three times you gave me a starter and left me sitting there without any bread! They waited until the main course was ready! Then I'm supposed to eat it all together? Everyone else gets their bread! It's sad what these countries have become! I wasn't even offered a drink or anything else! I was simply disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

The portions are OK, but that's about it, unfortunately. The food arrived 10 minutes late. The promised tea never arrived. I had to wait 5 minutes to pay because they wanted to make another salad. You can do that, but there are much better places in the area. It's a shame. PS: The music is OK and the staff is nice.

Five of us ate here today, and I can only rave about the food; overall, we all enjoyed it immensely. The service was friendly, and communication was clear. We'll definitely be coming here again. At 9:00 p.m., the parking situation was very relaxed, but I can say from experience that it's not uncommon to find a parking space nearby in this area quickly, so you should allow some time for parking security.

The Abi was very nice and respectful. The food was, by MashAllah, absolutely delicious. The shop was beautiful. The salads were delicious with the grilled meats. And the bread tasted fresh and was nice and warm. The Abi even brought us tea at the end. The shop is highly recommended and truly one of the tastiest in Duisburg.

A real highlight – top-notch food and first-class service! We went to Şelale Ocakbaşı and had the Adana plate – the taste was simply amazing! The meat was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, and the side dishes were fresh and delicious. The service is particularly noteworthy: incredibly friendly, attentive, and warm. You feel completely at home. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, it's gotten a bit sloppy and very expensive. I find €6 for lahmacun without salad very expensive. That was the last time I was there.

Selale Duisburg is my number 1! I love Selale and I really enjoy eating there. The food is always fresh, delicious, and all the servers are friendly and attentive. I also appreciate how they always offer a variety of appetizers with delicious homemade lava bread. Top!

The staff was not very happy because we went there at 21:30 in the evening. When I went to the counter to ask for a wrap with only onions in our order, they were so weird that they said there was onions on the table and they would send it plain. I guess it was a free wrap, but in the end we paid for it.

If you go here, do so outside of Ramadan, as not everything can always come at the same time and the quality suffers accordingly. Outside Ramadan it is really delicious. Plenty of meze/delicatessen with pide and wrap. It tastes really delicious and what really tastes really good are the ribs. A little expensive, but a good portion. This time, however, I got yogurt with Adana, which I ate 15 years ago and I couldn't forget the taste😊

Unfortunately your service was very bad, I was embarrassed for my guests. We asked for another soup and they said there was none, but since the table next to us was familiar, they were given soup. This is a very bad situation. On top of that, they are talking to us in our faces. Are people being singled out just because they know us? I don't understand. In short, your service was zero. Very tasty food here, there is nice grilled meat which you can also taste. A clear recommendation from me is that you can eat here. Paying in cash or by card is no problem here either.

These are the restaurants I've been coming to since 2008. Even though there was a reservation, they tried to sit it on the ground like a warehouse. If you don't have the capacity, why do you resort to every possible way of making money? Selale restaurant is over for me and I will not recommend it to those around me.

Very unsympathetic... even though we made a reservation, we weren't taken seriously. Since we were probably forgotten, they wanted to offer us a room in the basement (ridiculous) and of course we're out and will never go there again...

I published the first review 5 years ago. We eat here every now and then. Unfortunately today's visit was a disaster. Lahmacun was served cold, we asked three times for the bread with meze. (I have to say, there were only two tables occupied by us). My request when ordering to bring the tea together with lahmacun was not honored at all. We haven't had service as bad as today anywhere else for a long time.

Food was just amazing as always

All the meals were very delicious. The mixed grill plate was especially very good! Lahmacun and pitas are baked fresh in a special oven. All crunchy. The interior is large, spacious, stylishly decorated and a perfect family place. The staff is friendly. I recommend it to everyone

The food is delicious and has a convincing taste. Unfortunately, the service and organization leave a lot to be desired when the number of guests is high. • The starters are served, but the accompanying bread only comes with the main course. • The main courses are not served at the same time, which means that someone has to eat already so that the dish does not get cold. • Reorders take so long that by the time they arrive you've either already finished eating or your hunger has passed. Overall, the atmosphere suffers from the staff being overwhelmed! There is definitely room for improvement in the service and organization.

Food came cold, service was very bad, table wasn't cleared, meat didn't smell appetizing, were there for the first and last time. You're willing to pay a little more for a good meal, but the price there isn't too overpriced for bad food.

1 star is too much for the store. There were two of us there today, until a waiter served us we had to speak to 4 waiters and at the end one of them said with his back turned (very provocatively) don't worry, you will be served. We ordered 2 soups and a grill plate. Meat soup had hardly any meat and was cold. Grill plate was bloody and not seasoned (neither salt nor spices) When we complained and gave our food back, he touched the meat with his hands (neither gloves nor tongs). We no longer had any appetite and left the restaurant without eating. Absolute disaster. Unfriendly service, bad food. Has nothing to do with gastronomy.

Ambiance is a matter of taste. Service is better in the evening than in the morning. The food is truly legendary. I can really recommend any food. We also really like the soups. Always happy to come by. Keep it up.
