The ambiance is truly lovely; the second floor is beautifully decorated, making you feel very comfortable. Unfortunately, I can't give the service any positive feedback. No smiles, no friendly demeanor—more like they were just processing the customer. They didn't even ask if the food was enjoyable. With service like that, it's certainly not a given that the customer would leave a tip. However, what is definitely excellent, and the reason for the three stars, is the food. It's absolutely delicious, and I would happily eat it again and again. The prices are reasonable for today's standards.

We went for food, but it didn't meet our expectations. We ordered döner pide, but it came with a lot of kashar cheese. If I'd known it would come this way, I would have gotten the kashar pide. The price is very high. Also, they don't accept card payments. It's surprising that it doesn't accept cards anywhere over £5.

I wholeheartedly recommend Pera Restaurant Duisburg. Their lahmacun is made fresh and arrives very quickly, so you can enjoy your meal without waiting too long. The place is generally very clean, especially the customer restrooms. Having separate prayer rooms for men and women is also a great idea. I was very pleased and plan to return.

I go there regularly. The food is excellent, the small lahmacun are the best. "Findik Lahmacun." It's quite busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Larger groups become problematic. You can always get a table for two people.

The restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:50 PM, but weren't allowed upstairs. They told us they'd stopped making some items because the oven was closed. We didn't come here to eat a few items the staff requested. We weren't allowed upstairs, which I thought was disrespectful, and we weren't asked to order all the items. So we got up and left. We'd come from nearly 60 km away just for this restaurant, but we'd wasted our time. We've never had this kind of problem before. We didn't like this kind of place.

My Adana didn't taste good! We were sitting upstairs when the waitress came over and cleared away our full glasses. She didn't even ask if we wanted anything else, and then told us to pay downstairs. That meant we had to leave, even though we wanted to stay. Never again!

It was a place we had been going to for years and loved for its iskender kebab. When we went today, the iskender kebab was very bad and very oily. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat it. I think the döner kebab has changed.

I recently ate at Pera Restaurant and was very disappointed. We had to wait an extremely long time for our food. When it was finally served, the dishes came one after the other, so some of us had already finished eating while others were still waiting for their plates. Unfortunately, the food was already cold by the time it arrived. The service was overall poor, and we didn't enjoy the food at all. It was a very unsatisfying experience, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We spontaneously went there for dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening. It was my first time there, and the food was delicious. We sat upstairs; quite a few of the windows were a bit drafty, but we asked if some could be closed, and they did. We'd love to come back.

We wanted to go there as a family to eat and there was still an hour until closing time. They didn't let us in upstairs and when we wanted to order something downstairs they said that they didn't make many dishes anymore and after that we went somewhere else to eat.

It's inappropriate for such a large establishment to not accept card payments, and to only warn customers about this at the very end without warning them first. We're about to eat and leave, only to be told there's no card. You're forced to search for an ATM. Be careful.

The food was delicious, and the portions were quite filling, but they only accept cash; they don't accept card payments. I had to withdraw money from an ATM after my meal, which I wasn't happy about. Pera operates like a small business restaurant; there's no tea or dessert after dinner. After you're finished, the waiters look you in the eye, wondering when they'll leave, because sometimes new customers are waiting in line. It has that kind of atmosphere.

I can't report a positive experience this time. Ordered 2 pide and an iskender for 3 people. The pide arrived after about 10 minutes. The iskender only arrived after we had eaten the pide! 2 gazoz arrived. We waited for another gazoz, but none arrived. In the end, I didn't even ask for more. The pide were good. The iskender was just OK.

Three of us ate here. The atmosphere is very informal, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The service is very fast. I highly recommend the doner kebab and the lahmacun (Turkish pizza); you always get salad and Turkish bread as an aperitif. The rooms upstairs and downstairs are very clean and tidy, including the restrooms. I can definitely recommend this place for a quick respite during a shopping trip. I found the prices to be perfectly reasonable for the amount on the plate, the location, the staff, and the taste.

Every time that döner bread falls apart, my friend, I see that you tear and fall apart while opening the bread, change what ingredients you put in the bread. If you don't, put it in a regular quarter pita. Anyway, I have already repented, I will not come to you again or allow anyone from my family to come to you.

Adana kebab is really delicious, I haven't eaten a kebab like this for a long time, The moment I smelled the kebab, my hometown came to mind, Thanks to the waiters, they were also very polite and respectful, The service was great, I recommend it 🙂

It was the worst Adana I have ever eaten. Isn't even salt added to a salad? We looked at Adana with a microscope and it was a thin piece of meat. This performance for this money. I won't even pass by it again.

Pera is an institution at Pollmann-Eck. The food, quality, and service are top-notch. They also accommodate requests. I wanted a large breakfast platter for three people. They were extremely flexible and helpful. 💪❗ Highly recommended.

I visited this restaurant because no other charcoal grill was open in the area. The prices seemed reasonable at first glance, but I found €2.30 for a 0.2 liter of Coke to be quite high. One thing to note about the food selection: Most of the dishes are made with lamb – whether kebabs or other dishes. There were also chicken skewers, but veal was only available in the doner kebab. Since the selection seemed limited to me, I opted for an Iskender. Unfortunately, the dish disappointed me. I've eaten Iskender many times and always had good experiences – but this one wasn't. The portion looked good at first glance (see uploaded pictures), but it tasted more like a regular doner kebab with some bread underneath. Not your typical Iskender.

Food very tasty, service very friendly

On May 10th around 5 p.m. my wife and I ate at the Pera Restaurant in Duisburg (Iskender and Adana Dürüm Yogurtlu). We sat right near the counter, at the last table on the right. In fact, that was our only meal of the day. That night - about 13 hours later - my wife started having severe vomiting and diarrhea, and a short time later I also developed fever, chills, nausea, severe stomach cramps and body aches. On May 11th, we had to go to the hospital, where we were treated for over 6 hours. So far we have persistent complaints such as nausea, weakness and pain. It's obvious to us that the food in this restaurant was the cause - we hadn't consumed anything else. An incident like this is not only unpleasant but also dangerous. With this review we would like to warn other guests and hope that the incident is taken seriously and investigated. I will also inform the health department about this, because such shops should definitely be checked.
