The new employees aren't working at all; they're very unfriendly. The place used to be better. And they served the meat cold, which made it uncomfortable. From now on, I'll just eat at the neighbors'. It's a shame.

The kebab always performs and tastes good, you know what you're getting for your money, and the people there are always incredibly nice. Especially in the evenings!

Very good kebab, one of the few shops in Hamburg that still pay attention to their quality. Service wonderful, very nice people who work here.

Surrounded by several other kebab shops, there must be a reason why there are almost always queues here. Just a few steps away, your turn would come straight away....It's not the price! Emergency services, police cars and other company cars are almost always at the door to provide their colleagues with food. And I understand it only too well! It's simply delicious and sometimes it's worth the wait. But you don't have to...just go a few steps further!

Super tasty kebab! I recently went to Sel Kebap with a colleague and absolutely loved it. The meat was perfectly seasoned and super juicy, the sauce was really tasty and the fresh ingredients such as lettuce and tomatoes rounded off the kebab perfectly. You can tell that there is a lot of attention to detail here. Definitely I will come back! Highly recommended if you fancy a really good kebab. Food ok, but quite expensive for the amount. The kebab plate consisted more of fries than meat and a surcharge had to be paid for certain 0.33 drinks, although this was not stated. The sauces were slapped onto the meat relatively carelessly. Would definitely not come here again.

If the men have a motivated day, then the kebab tastes great. Just the right amount of sauce, the meat freshly cut and, if you're very lucky, a "we'll do it" after you've expressed your wishes. Otherwise, the employees are mostly very unfriendly, very, very lazy and don't put much effort into preparing the kebab. The older gentlemen are the lesser evil, but the short, full-bearded man and the lanky young man don't go at all. They are always very unfriendly and don't have much interest in their job. With them you can be sure that the meat has already been pre-cut and has been lying in the tub for half an eternity and is drier than the Sahara. Unfortunately, I still enjoy coming back because the sauces and bread taste very good. The bread is wafer-thin (if it's toasted properly, it always depends on the enthusiasm of the employees. If it's not toasted properly, half the bread falls apart and is no fun to eat) the pineapple curry sauce in combination with the The hot sauce tastes amazing and I have never eaten it anywhere else. The veal (if it is freshly cut) is juicy, tasty and goes very well with the sauces. I hope that the boss will go through the reviews and maybe say something about it. Service also plays an important role in ensuring longevity. ---------------------------- Addendum: The quality of the meat has now become really bad. At least with the veal skewer. It is no longer advertised as in the past and proudly declared with a sign "100% layered meat". The veal skewer now has a very high proportion of minced meat. You can see, smell and taste it straight away. We haven't been going there recently because we've found this meat skewer twice in a row. It has now become the norm to sell the skewer. We definitely don't like it. It's a shame, it was my favorite kebab shop.

Not the best kebap I've eaten in my life. And the waiter was frustrated that we asked for a lot of toppings in the sandwich... you're supposed to fill it as you want, bro... the customer is king (to a certain extent), so stop pulling Shut up and do what you're told and everything will be fine. Unfortunately, what was once Hamburg's best kebab has declined somewhat. The kebab still tastes very good, but the hygiene standards are unfortunately in need of improvement (dirty sauce containers are refilled, hand hygiene). Staff varies between 11/10 and 3/10 depending on the time of day and individual. I will come back at regular intervals because I want the old days back and don't give up hope <3

Best kebab, abnormally correct!!!

I recently ordered 5 large kebabs and all 5 were inedible. The gentleman scraped the burnt remains off the other skewer and put them in our kebab, even though there was a skewer with fresh meat. It was like chewing on tree bark or chips. It had nothing to do with a real kebab. He should have told me there was no more meat instead of giving me this inedible food. I would prefer to give 0 stars for this. You don't do it.

Since it's no longer pure layered meat, it no longer tastes like it used to, which is a shame :-(

The staff was friendly, no complaints about that. But I ordered a döner box, and despite asking for fewer fries, they put in so many that I had to search carefully to find the döner pieces and salad.

We eat there as a family once a week and it's fantastic. The meat is juicy and perfectly seasoned. The garlic sauce is my favorite and you can tell that everything is fresh. We always like to come back.

We've often bought kebab here when nothing else was available in the evening. Yesterday (September 1st, 2024) I bought another Durüm kebab but the meat was of such poor quality that you could hardly chew it and we spit half of it out onto the plate while eating. No idea if you changed the meat supplier, but I can't remember it ever being THAT BAD! It was just fat and gristle, completely inedible. 🤢 Guys, you're really making the wrong savings here if you believe that you can fool your customers and that no one will notice! Won't be coming back for a while. Hopefully you'll have decent goods again at some point, then maybe we'll try it again.

Correction from 5 to 3 stars (8/11/24): It's developing really negatively! Prices have risen significantly, quality has gone down. More and more often you don't get fresh meat cut off, but rather from the pile that is already lying at the bottom of the spit. Doner kebabs are significantly less filled. Meat is now packed into a cup like this, then into the bread. Hygienically questionable and you get significantly less meat than before. Extra meat 2€! The last few times the employees worked really carelessly and sometimes even made orders incorrectly. There are plenty of other kebab shops nearby, what's wrong with you that you're getting so bad???

The salad in the kebab was crisp and fresh, the meat was okay, although there was a relatively high proportion of minced meat. Flatbread is extra thin and crispy. The hot sauce is not spicy, too sweet for me and kind of reminds me of a certain well-known brand of spiced ketchup with 4 letters. The price of the kebab is quite high.

Food/Quality: Food was ready quickly and looked appealing too. However, for my taste everything was relatively bland. You can definitely eat it well, but in my opinion you could get a lot out of it with various spices. The meat was good too. For me the best kebab in the area. Delicious meat (no minced meat) and the sauces are not heavily sweetened like in other kebab shops. The homemade Fallafel are also very tasty if you don't want to eat meat.

For me it's still the tastiest kebab in Hamburg. I'm here several times a month. Everything is fresh, delicious and the halloumi Dürüm is really a decent portion at a justifiable price. And the guys behind the counter are always friendly despite the stress. I am and will remain a loyal customer, even if it takes a while

The quality of the meat has completely deteriorated. Likewise, the bread from the kebab is no longer as crispy as before. Unfortunately, it's also really exhausting that the employees don't really listen to you. The kebab still tastes good but it was definitely better. It's also a shame that in many other restaurants the portions have become smaller. Btw. Maybe it could be cleaned a little more regularly.
