Sekandar Restaurant in Hamburg

The makhan is sweet and not savory. In my pile of rice (which felt like €7 in rice and €3 in sauce), I also had several cloves and only about 4-5 pieces of chicken. I can't recommend this place; it's not worth the €10 unless you like to suffer a little while eating...👍 It's better to go to Wandsbek with 23/213 and then take the underpass to the right. We've never been disappointed. 5/5. Half a star out of 5 for this place.

I had the Chicken Makhan the first time and then the buffet meal. It was very good. The staff is very polite and accommodating.

The food is a 10 out of 10 I can only recommend it the boss is extremely hospitable only offers fresh warm food the location is very very pleasant not as anti-social as in this entire district the shop has such a nice atmosphere and can only be recommended people try it there you will never be disappointed

Two stars just for the Shir Yakh (ice cream) The Burgere Afghani was terribly bad. Stuffed with half fried fries Hardly any meat or salad or chutney, it was a waste of money. It's a shame

Chicken makan tasted more like a tomato soup with meat and sugar. I have never eaten such bad Indian food in my life

Very, very fresh and particularly tasty. Not seasoned so you can season yourself if you like. Service is extremely courteous and makes the guest feel “welcome in his house” TOP

I ordered there for the first time today and was really pleasantly surprised! We had ordered 3 meals - Mantu, Aashak and Chicken Mango. All three meals were really fresh and perfectly prepared, and the taste was also great, something I've missed from some delivery services over the last few years! The shop only offers a few dishes, but the craftsmanship is perfect and that's what counts!

Great food and awesome hospitality

If you want to taste authentic Afghan burger then you must visit Sekandar Restaurant at least once. This place is awesome! I am visiting my family in Hamburg and had heard from them good things about this joint but I have to say that it was better than what I had expected. They make their burgers with fresh vegetables and french fries. The hot sauce was super tasty. I have to say that I have found my regular burger joint from now on whenever I am visiting Hamburg again. The owner is a very decent and nice guy. He saw that I was enjoying the burger too much he brought me a 2nd one on the house 😅 Thank you so much!

Nice service, friendly atmosphere. But unfortunately for a German stomach the food didn't taste good to me. Not cheap either. Only starts at 9 euros.

The location is beautifully green and oriental Quiet atmosphere, a bit isolated and not loud like the other restaurants in the Billstedt Center and very clean Ingredients were fresh, the chicken sauces were well seasoned and equally well balanced with the tender chicken Shiryakh Afghan ice cream really surprised me and met my expectations. It tastes like an Italian Fior di Latte ice cream with a light aroma of candied cardamom. Freshly and prepared directly on site! I will try other dishes next time I can only recommend ✅

Habe das Mittagsbuffet probiert und war sehr zufrieden. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und die hausgemachte Chili-Soße die auf den Tischen steht hat mich überzeugt. Preislich auch völlig in Ordnung.

Meine Frau kocht besser indisch. Die Gerichte sind zu europäisch angepasst. Selbst Schuld. Habe bei der Bestellung nicht auf typisch indisch bestanden. Aber schmackhaft war es trotzdem. Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung. Der Laden ist sauber.

Also was soll ich sagen… Essen an sich ok, aber hier wird dermaßen mit der Soße gegeizt, dass man die Hälfte des Reises trocken essen kann.

Wir haben das Buffet genommen , da gab es Lamm sehr zart und Hack in Soße ,Spinat und noch Reis,,Kartoffeln, Gemüse und Brot. Wir hatten sehr nette Mitarbeiter, die Sich um uns gut gekümmert haben. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Das Essen ist sehr frisch zubereitet und lecker. Ich gehen einmal die Woche hin. Ich kann es mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen 👍🏻
