Seeblick 21 in Eschenbach i.d.OPf.

It's perfectly understandable that the swimming pool closes at 8 pm, and perhaps even that food service ends after that time. However, I simply cannot comprehend (and I'm not alone in this opinion) why, on a beautiful summer day and during the school holidays, you can't get anything to drink after 8 pm. With such an atmosphere, it's a complete own goal in my eyes, and the nearby Hexenhäusl (Witches' House) benefits enormously from it.

The location is absolutely beautiful and has enormous potential. However... The prices and the food selection are unfortunately not justified. €9.90 for a frozen Margherita pizza is completely outrageous. At my favorite Italian restaurant, a few towns away, a homemade one of the same size costs €7. Until last year, they at least had a salad, which has completely disappeared from the menu this year. Card payments are only accepted for purchases over €25. Sorry, but that's simply unacceptable these days.

Essen war soweit gut - keine Hunde erlaubt! Die Pizza war knusprig - nur der Käse könnte mehr zerlaufen (siehe Bild). Pommes und Currywurst sind gut. Was für uns nicht verständlich war, dass man auf die Terrasse seinen Hund nicht mitnehmen darf. Dass dieser als Badebesucher nicht mit an den See darf - ist okay. Aber in ein Restaurant, welches auch ohne Eintritt besucht werden darf, die Hunde auszuschließen macht für mich wenig Sinn. Auch ein „mitleidiger“ Blick von der Bedienung, als ich mit meinem Hund draußen wartete, kann man sich einfach sparen. Insgesamt einfach schade, da die Lage und alles echt nett ist.

Nice ambiance, drink prices are okay. What's not to like, however, is a baked pizza (Margarita) for €9.90. The price is definitely too high for that, and the taste isn't that great.

Today I wanted to eat a salad that was on the menu from 5:30 p.m. Due to the large crowd, it was supposed to take 45 minutes. After an hour, I was told it would take another 15 minutes. I then asked for my money back. Customer service seems to be lacking here! Therefore, I can't rate the food, since I didn't get anything!

We drove 1.5 hours there, only to find the gates closed. It's a shame. When I called the town of Eschenbach, the lady couldn't tell me when the pool would reopen and simply hung up. I'll revise this review next time I visit, assuming it's open.

There are plenty of shady spots to escape the sun, making it a comfortable and enjoyable experience even on a hot summer day. The outdoor seating is thoughtfully arranged, with plenty of space between tables, allowing for both privacy and a sense of openness. What truly stood out to me was how child-friendly the place is. The relaxed atmosphere means kids can move around and play without feeling confined, which is a huge plus for families looking to enjoy a meal out without the stress. Now, let’s talk about the food! Seeblick 21 offers a fantastic range of snacks and meals that cater to all tastes. The Chicken Nuggets with Pommes are a hit with the kids, while the adults can savor a delicious range of pizzas. I highly recommend the Pizza Mix – a delightful combination of cheese, salami, ham, peppers, and mushrooms that’s both filling and bursting with flavor. The Schnitzelsandwich was another standout, with its crispy breaded pork cutlet and fresh salad, making for a satisfying bite. Everything was prepared fresh and served with a smile. The service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly. They clearly care about their guests’ experience, frequently checking in to ensure everything was up to standard, and they were quick to accommodate any special requests. Overall, Seeblick 21 is more than just a place to eat – it’s a full experience. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack after a swim or a leisurely meal with loved ones, this place ticks all the boxes. With its beautiful lakeside location, child-friendly environment, and delicious food, I can’t recommend it enough. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

Nice view, but unfortunately you wait forever for food, we didn't even get our food. When I asked an employee when I would get my food, I received a very “stuffy” answer that I had forgotten to pick it up. (That wasn't true, we were basically sitting BEFORE the food was served 😂). So we got our €4 for fries (!!!) back and left after an hour.

Unfortunately, they almost starved to death here. Waiting times of over an hour for a pizza and some swimming pool fries are just too much. We asked for our money back. Awkward

The Seeblick 21 is recommended! The food is good, the view is of course magnificent with a view of the lake, you just sit very comfortably and the service is absolutely friendly! A lovely place for a summer afternoon!

Seeblick 21 is a terrace cafe right on the Rußweiher that is not open in bad weather because you can only sit outside. It is therefore advisable to call before you go if the weather is unclear. Although the menu is relatively small, what they offer is very good and the wait staff are really nice and friendly. The absolute highlight is of course the view of the lake, especially at sunset. All in all, I can really recommend Seeblick 21.

Last time we waited ½ hour for the iced coffee and last time it took ¾ hour for the pizzas to arrive and 1 hour to 2 portions of fries. Tastes good, but waiting times are far too long.

Used this drop point to go to the lake. Lots of fun and the nuggets + fries combi is amazing.

Urlaubsfeeling mit Seeblick! Ich war heute mit Freunden im Seeblick und wir haben einen schönen gemütlichen Sonntag Nachmittag verbracht. Die Stühle sind wirklich bequem und es sind genügend Sonnenschirme dort :-) die Kinder können nebenan am Spielplatz spielen und der Tretboot Verleih am Rußweiher hat auch schon offen. Die Getränke und Speisen sind auch super! Viel Spaß :-)

Lange Wartezeiten bei warmen Speisen, obwohl viel Personal im Kiosk ist. Haben über 1 Std. auf eine Portion Pommes gewartet. Es war noch nicht einmal viel los im Bad. Essen ist aber gut, wenn das lange Anstehen nicht wäre! Beim Eiskaffe war der Kaffee warm. Schöne Terrasse und Weiher.

Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und tolles Ambiente. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)
