Schwitzer's Pur in Waldbronn

Last night, my wonderful companion and I went to Switzers Pur. From the very first moment, everything was practically perfect – especially the consistently attentive and helpful service, which made the evening truly enjoyable. Before the meal, we were invited to help ourselves to a bread buffet. A fantastic idea: fresh bread, delicious butter, and pickled radishes – a wonderful start. Shortly after, the main course arrived. Everything was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. All in all, it was a wonderful evening. Many thanks to the fantastic team!

A beautiful restaurant, food served straight from paradise, and service staff who truly love their work. I haven't eaten this well in a long time. The wine recommendations were perfect, and every dish was a revelation. The service was always available but never intrusive. If you're looking for the benchmark for perfection, this is the place. Great team and a very attentive hostess. The wines were perfectly paired with the 12-course amuse-bouche menu, which is no easy feat. Every course was a delight, and the value for money was excellent. I'd love to come back again! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We ate there with a group and were able to try quite a few different dishes. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and professional. The prices are on the higher side (except for the children's meals, which are reasonably priced), but the food is interestingly prepared and delicious. Unfortunately, some dishes (risotto, tagliatelle for children) were much too salty. The meat was excellent, and the dessert was heavenly (the tiramisu is made fresh at the table). Overall, a very pleasant evening, and the portions were surprisingly generous. There is a complimentary bread buffet.

We dined at Schwitzer's Pur again last Sunday. The food and service were excellent! We also enjoyed four hours of glorious sunshine on the terrace and fantastic live music. It was another wonderful mini-break for body, mind, and soul! Many thanks to the kitchen, the service staff, and the musicians! It couldn't have been more pampering. The Michelin-starred restaurant has been completely renovated and is now very modern and stylish. We sampled everything on the menu, ordering delicious appetizers, fish, meat, and dessert. The freshness of the food, the preparation, and the taste were simply fantastic. The kitchen staff truly knows their craft! Schwitzers Pur offers an all-around perfect experience: creative, seasonal cuisine of the highest quality, beautifully presented, and perfectly seasoned. The service is attentive and warm, and the wine selection is excellent. A stylish ambiance completes the experience – highly recommended!

A mixed evening with great service, but room for improvement in the cuisine and ambiance. Four of us dined at Schwitzer's PUR and paid an average of just over €100 per person. Unfortunately, it was a rather mixed experience. I would like to highlight the service. The entire team was extremely attentive, friendly, and dedicated. Particularly commendable: Right at the beginning, a question about gluten intolerance was asked among our group. That's not a given and deserves recognition. The culinary experience, however, was mixed. – My first course, the "grilled" octopus, was unfortunately disappointing. The octopus was more boiled than grilled, soft in texture, and bland in flavor. The accompanying sauce, on the other hand, was excellent – but unfortunately, it couldn't save the meal. – The beef fillet in the main course was a real highlight: perfectly cooked, juicy, and aromatic – just what you'd expect. – For dessert, I had the fermented pepper with goose liver ice cream. For someone like me, who doesn't like anything too sweet, this was an exciting, bold, and successful choice – even if it was probably originally intended as an intermediate course. What I personally didn't like was the ambiance. The room seems cluttered and a bit kitschy to me – that's a matter of taste, of course. Less subjective, however, was the high noise level in the restaurant. It was noticeably loud, which may also be due to the chosen ceiling paneling. We also sat at the last table in front of the bar, which unfortunately meant that we constantly overheard the employees' internal conversations throughout the meal – including the clattering of the coffee machine, which was running at full speed towards the end of the evening. Later, the breakfast buffet for the next day was being prepared right in front of us, which didn't really add much to the evening atmosphere. I was also critical of the presentation of the "Greetings from the Kitchen" – or rather, the buffet. The selection of bread, olives, butters, and cress is very high quality. But queuing up for it – in a restaurant of this price range – seems out of place. For me, this has more the charm of a hotel buffet than that of fine dining. And I don't need to go to PUR to compete with other guests for the last olives. One final point of criticism: A dessert from the menu included a pastry element – without being labeled – which can quickly become problematic for those with food intolerances. The team did ask about the intolerance at the beginning, but unfortunately didn't take it into account later. A clearer declaration would have been desirable here. Conclusion: A restaurant with ambition, fantastic service, and individual culinary highlights – but also with significant room for improvement in details and atmosphere. For the price charged, the overall impression should be more coherent.

We dined at Schwitzers PUR today, expecting a sophisticated culinary experience. Unfortunately, the evening didn't quite live up to those expectations. The service was a definite highlight, consistently attentive, friendly, and professional – a true standout of the evening. The steak tartare appetizer was also superbly seasoned and beautifully presented. The main course, however, was less impressive. I had the tortellini with chanterelles – the flavor was good, the sauce aromatic, and there were plenty of mushrooms. But the portion was far too small, even for my taste. Two or three extra noodles would have barely increased the cost of ingredients but would have significantly improved the feeling of satiety. The dessert was also well-done, but tiny – more of a delicate touch than a proper finale. The ambiance also felt somewhat incongruous: While the concept was modern, some aspects of the execution were reminiscent of the late 90s. The noise level at the bar was quite high – especially due to the coffee machine and cocktail shaker. One slight drawback was the amuse-bouche: you had to collect it yourself from a small buffet. While this may have been a creative idea, it felt unusual and somewhat impractical – especially if you're unsure how to balance the small bowls safely. In conclusion: Schwitzer's PUR undoubtedly has potential – and the kitchen staff knows their craft. However, for the desired level of excellence, I felt the overall experience lacked a cohesive touch.

Disappointing air conditioning in extreme heat We were really looking forward to our visit to Pur on June 14, 2025, especially since the outside temperature was extremely high at 34 degrees Celsius. We had specifically asked in advance whether the restaurant was air-conditioned, which was confirmed. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we discovered that two doors to the terrace were constantly open. This caused the air conditioning to automatically turn off. The result was that it became very warm in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we could only enjoy our meal while sweating, which significantly spoiled the entire experience. It's a real shame when such important information as the air conditioning, especially on such a hot day, isn't communicated correctly in advance, or when its functionality in the restaurant isn't guaranteed. This unfortunately severely impacted our visit.

A stylish restaurant with a view of the surrounding greenery. An elegant fine dining experience, but not uncomfortably stuffy. The food was perfect, wonderfully seasoned, and beautifully presented. The service is friendly and strikes just the right balance between attentive and unobtrusive.

The dishes on the menu sound sophisticated. Unfortunately, the execution wasn't quite perfect. Beets were too hard and rather unseasoned. The tartar (for my taste) was too homogenous.

We had lunch at Restaurant Pur last Sunday. The service was very friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive. We received excellent recommendations for aperitifs and house wines to accompany our meal. The bread station and especially the pickled radishes were simply fantastic! The atmosphere at lunchtime/in the afternoon is sophisticated and very relaxed. We will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful hotel, restaurant, and outdoor area. Thank you for a wonderful evening :) ❤️ The service was very relaxed but professional, which I personally find ideal. The food was excellent. Well-balanced seasonal dishes that were also well-seasoned and not bland. The only "negative" aspect were the plates – they looked great, but you almost didn't dare eat the accompanying jus because the plates were very noisy and scratchy. Quality has its price, and this is certainly worth it :) There was another small misunderstanding with the menu – the Amouse Bouche menu states that it must be pre-ordered, while the Twenty menu doesn't, even though it also has to be pre-ordered.

We were at Pur for a big birthday and were able to enjoy a selection of the menu. The food was to die for. Ambience and service were top. Unfortunately, the prices are too high to simply go out to eat with the family in everyday life. However, it is justified in terms of quality

On a sunny afternoon I ordered an iced coffee with 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and cream. I was really looking forward to that. The iced coffee looked very good to the eye, the cream and coffee tasted good, but I really had to look for the ice cream. There was no ice left other than a dab of it. When I complained about this to the waitress, she said that she would pass it on inside. I expected at least an apology or a replacement for it.

Great ambience and location at the Waldbronn spa park. Very attentive and at the same time reserved service. The food was visually great, the taste was very good but not outstanding and the base of the goat cheese quiche was too hard. Still a nice experience but at the price level “only” 4 stars.

We had dinner at Restaurant Pur last night. It was, as always, a wonderful evening. Great ambience, courteous service, very tasty, appealing food. Attentive team. Always my pleasure.

Chic atmosphere with a great view of nature. You get the Amuese gölle yourself, but before you even took your first bite of it, the first course was already served. Food was good. The daily menu was fairly priced... otherwise a bit expensive. Here in the PUR, too, the stars in the background made expectations seem a little too high.

The food was good but I wasn't impressed, the service was very good and the atmosphere was modern.

Our start at Schwitzer's PUR on December 30th, 2023, after several attempts, and we were not disappointed. The menu was harmonious and delicious, I particularly liked the super uncomplicated, friendly staff and the sommelier, we got closer when it came to the wines 😇😅 We will definitely be back. PS: One point deducted because of the furnishings, even if they are harmoniously coordinated, it is quite "cool" - but it's all a matter of taste ✌️

After we were guests some time ago and before the renovation, our last visit left us quite disappointed. There are no longer any tablecloths and the furnishings are noisier than before. You are now "allowed" to get the bread yourself - together with other guests, even if they don't know concepts such as physical distance and obviously can't handle a napkin when cutting bread. Larger crumbs from the good, crispy fresh bread starter are then left unnoticed by the service around the plate from the first to the last course. This disinterest then continued continuously. We had to refill our own drinks after there was no service to be seen at times and no eye contact could be made. Why do you as a guest have to search here several times and for minutes? You can only find out any background information about the wine and winemaker of the wine pairing by listening at the neighboring table if the waitress there knows (or likes) the guest better. We waited in vain for a greeting from the kitchen at the beginning or a few chocolates on the cake stand at the end. It's a shame, and in conclusion, for more than 100 EUR per person - apart from the menu itself - a clear deterioration in relation to the assessment and expectations. I can't imagine that all of these points are better in the gourmet part, just because you can watch the chefs at work there for another hefty surcharge...

We were at Pur last weekend, lovely atmosphere, the food was sooooo incredibly flavorful and simply a treat for the palate, delicious. There's nothing to complain about when it comes to service, very accommodating, absolutely friendly, and you can only praise it. You simply feel comfortable here. Biggest praise from me, perfect! Perfektes Risotto! Sehr gerne wieder…

Ich war zum Sonntags Lunch dort und wurde unter anderem überrascht von einem grandiosen mediterranen Meeresfrüchte Gnocchi Menü. Im traumhaften Ambiente auf der Terrasse bei erstklassigem Service konnten wir den Sonntag genießen.

Zu erstmal ein großes Lob für die exzellente Küche und Lob an das Servicepersonal. Uns persönlich hat das Mobilar /Einrichtung überhaupt nicht gefallen, sehr unbequem. Zum Essen, für den Preis hätte ich mir wenigstens einen Gruß aus der Küche gewünscht, denn für fast 300€ für ein 2-Gänge Menü und ein 3-Gang Menü, 2 Gläser Champagner, Mineralwasser, 2 Gläser 0,1 Wein fand ich definitiv zu teuer.

Wir waren an einem Sonntagmittag zu Besuch und hatten einen sehr schönen Mittag im Pur. Sehr zu empfehlen: der Steinbutt für 2 Personen. 👌 Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team! Wir freuen uns schon auf die Terrassenzeit und das nächste Speisenkonzept ab Ende Juni. 😍

Das Schwitzer's Team hält mal wieder was es verspricht: Ausgezeichnete Küche und toller Service im modernen, ungezwungenen Ambiente. Casual Fine Dining genau nach unserem Geschmack. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und kommen sicher wieder.

Ein Abend bei Schwitzer‘s ist jedes Mal ein Genuss! Wir waren gespannt auf das neue „PUR“ und dann sehr angetan vom köstlichen Essen und dem sehr netten und kompetenten Servicepersonal. Die neue Inneneinrichtung ist harmonisch aufeinander abgestimmt und auf jeden Fall sehr individuell. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Das Restaurant ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das Essen und der Service waren gut, etwas zu hochpreisig. Die Einrichtung bzw. Das Interieurdesign ist jedoch unterirdisch. Ein Eiskühlschrank und das Frühstücksgeschirr im Speiseraum sind schon gewöhnungsbedürftig.. Da passt nichts, man hat das Gefühl in einer Bahnhofshalle zu sitzen. Dem Anspruch der Küche kann die Einrichtung nirgends folgen. Schade.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum auf ganzer Linie geglückten Einstand. Die hohe Kochkunst auf höchstem Qualtitätsniveau lässt sich auch ohne Stern nicht verbergen. Wir haben ebenso den aufmerksamen, kompetenten und freundlichen Serivce genossen. Das neue, moderne Outfit des Restaurants ist ansprechend. Merci, für das pure Vergnügen.

Ungewohnt! Aber zukunftsträchtig. Natürlich erscheint es wie ein Einschnitt, wenn man jahrelang Sterneküche hier erleben durfte. Aber die Zeiten haben sich geändert, aber dem trägt das Lokal Pur im positiven Sinne Rechnung: Waldbronn meets NY. Eine stimmige Küche , tolle Produkte ohne Komplikationen. Der Service und die Weinkarte sind ebenfalls ein Genuß! Ein guter Start! Wir freuen uns, dass wir dabei waren!
