Schweinske Wilhelmsburg in Hamburg

Pleasant, almost diner-like atmosphere. Even large groups can easily find a table here. It takes a while to take the order, but the drinks and food arrive very quickly. The schnitzels are super tasty and we were also impressed by the greetings from the kitchen. We'd love to come back.

After arrival we had to wait quite a long time until we could place the order, otherwise nice.

- Great food - Employees always friendly and nice. But often there are only 1 or 2 people at the front of the restaurant who work the bar and do table service. Unfortunately, the telephone for the customer parking barrier is also ignored. - Cleanliness, Dear owner, the bread maker or convection machine to the right of the cash register is just disgusting, the floor underneath looks really moldy. In general, I enjoy eating at your place and I would give 5 stars if your restaurant were cleaner. I can handle the lack of staff ;)

Super nice team, we felt very comfortable. Went there spontaneously with 9 people. It wasn't a problem at all, the tables were pushed together, the food and cocktails were great.

Unfortunately, I was forced to eat here for the third time and was disappointed again. We waited 20 minutes for any drinks to be taken and then the already modest choice of food was limited to “currywurst fries” and “schnitzel with fries”. Then the food came: cold, hair in the food and incomplete (mayo was added to the fries when I no longer had any appetite because the food was cold) The female waiter cannot smile and is very unfriendly. The chef walks into the kitchen in his street clothes, immediately goes to his guests and straight back into the kitchen. Hygienic deficiencies throughout.

Typical Schweinske with consistent quality of products. Never been to one? This restaurant offers a broad variety of German fare. There are some vegetarian options, but the focus is on meat, from my point of view. Service was very friendly and swift. We came here late on a Saturday and there was ample seating available without a reservation. Parking is available on the parking lot behind the house. You need to call the restaurant once you are in front of the barrier and they will open the gate for you. On a second visit we had some trouble alerting the server to our presence. Due to that, we spent quite some time waiting until we were able to order.

We had the best waiter ever on the evening of November 8th, 2024. If you love your job, then you do it like him. The food was great and the atmosphere was great as always. Always my pleasure!!!

Pork like you're used to. Huge shop, so lots of space. Service was great as always, breakfast with a hearty cappuccino, so the taf can begin. The rolls were huge, but a little dry, I thought. The rest is all in the usual Schweinske manner. Toilets clean but also hidden in the basement. Gladly again.

Hardly any notice was taken of us! Everything takes forever. The second round of drinks didn't come at all. At the next table, the guests left the shop without having or being able to order anything. That doesn't work at all. Food really good, service nonexistent.

Disaster Shed! Selected food and after 15 minutes still no service! Went to the counter and ordered 4 beers - another 10 minutes later still no service and the beer wasn't even tapped! Got up, told the service that the 4 of us wanted food and beer - shrugged our shoulders! And gone...probably don't need every guest!!!

The Schweinske im Wilhelmsburg impresses with its very friendly staff who take great care of their guests. The food and drinks are delicious and the price/performance ratio is very fair.

This is a normal off the mill restaurant chain where you can go with friends and don’t come out too broke. Food is alright, Drinks are solid, not bad but also not amazing. A big shoutout though to the waiter, who seemed to be alone because of bad planning and/or sickness. This guy was so fast, he was attentive and had a smile on his face. Definitely worth a raise!

Schweinske was incredibly good. We were on a short vacation in Hamburg from Sunday to Thursday and found the Schweinske restaurant on Monday evening because there was no à la carte dinner in our hotel. We really liked the first evening :) very, very nice staff, every wish is fulfilled and the speed is particularly impressive. You order the food and a maximum of 15 minutes later we (3 people) all had our food, even though they also had a large group to feed and a few isolated people. The restaurant itself is very cozy and inconspicuous from the outside. We can only recommend it to everyone. We liked it so much that we ate dinner at Schweinske's every evening during our vacation and also had breakfast twice, where I can highly recommend the cocoa with fresh cream. PS: Greetings to the waiter who served us every evening, you were honestly the best!

Heute Mittag waren wir 3 Frauen zum Mittagstisch . Allerdings gab es von den 4 Mittagstischgerichten den Zander nicht. Wurde noch nicht geliefert sagte man uns. Also nahm ich Spagetti mit Lachs. Allerdings war der Lachs nicht mehr frisch und er blieb am Tellerrand. Als Vorspeise wird eigentlich Brot mit Dip gereicht, nun das Brot war da nur kein Dip. Wurde noch nicht geliefert, es gab auch keine Alternative. Nun war es schon das Zweite Mal das wir was reklamierten. Auf die Getränke und die Rechnung haben wir ewig gewartet weil der Kellner auch noch in der Küche hantierte und nicht hinterher kam. Der Laden hatte schon mal bessere Zeiten.

Unfortunately we had to leave the restaurant without eating. Were treated like air, what a shame!! We don't know anything about Schweinske. We were so looking forward to a visit, especially since we come from Rostock and are not always here. Feel free to pass on to the staff that at least a little eye contact or a sign that you have been noticed can work wonders. A drink for now would have been enough. Someone else gets our money.

Wednesday evening (September 3rd) an apparition of the third kind! At the end of our holiday trip we wanted to have a relaxed beer at Schweinske. When ordering the second round, we experienced something monstrous with the waitress (inflated and tattooed): He brought the beer and, without saying anything, simply placed it on the table next to the empty glasses without putting the lid underneath. Without saying a word, he strolled back, bored. After our conversation, which he obviously overheard, he turned around and stood threateningly in front of me with the words "is something?" Such behavior towards guests is in no way acceptable and should have immediate consequences! Service therefore a minus.

I was here with a larger group. The service was just great, very attentive, friendly, always with a smile on her face and helpful. She knew the map thoroughly and could make recommendations. Unfortunately, a big drawback was the wait for the food. While some had their food and could already start, others had to wait a long time so we were all able to start eating differently. As the waitress explained to us, it was because there was only one cook in the house. The store was very empty for a Friday evening. But the drinks came very, very quickly. What sets the store apart is a large window front that can be opened in summer.

Very nice service but mediocre food. The burger bun was as hard in places as if it had been baked hours before, but at least it tasted good. The homemade lemonade, on the other hand, was an insult to all taste buds. I've never had a soda in a restaurant that tasted so awfully artificial. It was like Ahoy soda served in a large glass with ice cubes. And then spent almost five euros on it... I would have been happier with a glass of tap water.

Friendly staff. The restaurant makes a clean impression. I had been to this restaurant a long time ago and now I have to say that I think the currywurst with fries has become smaller. And I'm pretty sure I had a small side salad with me last time. This time, none.

I reserved a table online for 2 people to watch football. Called the next day and increased the reservation to 7 people. No problem. A table was arranged directly in front of the television. Very friendly upon arrival. Super Service. Food was tasty, portions were good. Everything great! Gladly again!

Were there today at 9:30 a.m. for breakfast. I wanted to go to the disabled toilet and lost my faith. It was so dirty and the trash can was flooded at this time in the morning when the store is almost empty. I've experienced this not only once, but it's happened several times. I didn't take a photo 🤮🤮 it was too disgusting.

So unfortunately we had to leave after waiting 1:30 hours, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to keep our follow-up appointment. We can therefore not recommend the store.

Unfortunately, compared to other Schweinskes, the food is not as good. But the service is great and incredibly friendly! Child-friendly and you can also bring a dog. There's water for him too :)

Very tasty food. Price wise in the normal range. The place is not overly cluttered with any furniture etc. The decor is somewhat reminiscent of a diner, which is very pleasant. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Rolls weren't my cup of tea, very airy and not exactly tasty! There are only wheat rolls, no rye or wholemeal rolls. The lady from the service is very nice and friendly. 5 stars for that. Parking situation in the area is very, very bad. In the restaurant we found out that there was a customer parking lot with a telephone number and barrier, as a tip for perhaps next time.

After a long absence from Hamburg, I was back in the beautiful city today. This also includes a visit to Schweinske. The last visit was about 5 years ago, but both my friends, who were at Schweinske's for the first time, and I were thrilled. Staff nice, food great. The only point of criticism is that there wasn't much going on during our visit and the toilets looked catastrophic (there were toilets and towel paper everywhere. And the large ruffled wall really, really needed a feather duster. But it's still a shame that there are no Schweinske in my city

The food was great, the schnitzel was big and nice and crispy! The fries are also super crispy and very tasty! The salad 🥗 was nice and fresh! The ambience was good and the seating areas were comfortable! We had a reservation but it wasn't necessary, there were plenty of places available! Because that day we were the only four in the restaurant, which I can understand given the weather, the seats outside were full 🤗

We were here for dinner with 6 people in the late afternoon. The service was very friendly and left a good impression. The 6 different dishes came very quickly as there was nothing going on there. Only one table was still occupied. My schnitzel had an unpleasant aftertaste and was glassy under the breading - bad - inedible. The fries were hard and the salad was just brown, leafy pieces with a hint of sauce. My little daughter's schnitzel was similarly bad and only the cauliflower and Camembert filled her up. The older daughter was also not very enthusiastic about her food. My sons had a bowl (there was rotten meat in it) and a burger and had bad diarrhea the next day! We mentioned the bad meat - but the service didn't care. 120€ for miserable food is sad. We definitely won't be coming back!

Went there on a Saturday evening, it was about half full and two employees seemed to be very overwhelmed. After twenty minutes we were told as we were walking by that they would be coming soon and after three quarters of an hour had been full, someone finally came and told us that it would be at least an hour, but very likely longer, until we got something to eat. It's okay to be overwhelmed - it could be that there's only one person in the kitchen or something else has happened - but to be told after 45 minutes that it will take another hour is really not cool in terms of service. This was our third time here and each time the waiting time was far from reasonable, despite the room being half full. It's particularly a shame because we actually like it.

Short version: Top service. The young woman, service person, did it confidently and professionally. Small special requests were no problem. A little empty there...but many catering establishments have had this problem since 2024...at least at the end of the month. Overall, I have to say, clear recommendation! There were five of us there. Table reservation didn't work out, so service was ok

Definitely understaffed for a Saturday evening. We had to wait an hour for our food. Everyone who came after us already had their food. At first we had the impression that our order had not been passed on. But then we were told that it was because we hadn't made a reservation. Doesn't make any sense. Our questions were met with a snippy response. You can't bring cutlery or bread in advance because there are no more baskets. Many guests tried to call the waitress several times, but there was no response. I haven't experienced so little service in a long time. The food was average okay.

Stopped here spontaneously. The ambience of the restaurant is great. I find the menu sufficient and varied. You get what you expect from the selection. I had a schnitzel in XXL. Yes, the portion was “okay” but not really “huge”. I was expecting a little more. But in the end it was enough to fill you up and above all and most importantly, the whole thing was very tasty. And in the end the price was completely okay. The service was quick, nice and friendly. Speaking of which, I hope the balancing act on the damp ground ended without any lasting damage 😅🤘✌️

When we were finished, we had to beg for payment ourselves after more than 20 minutes... A little more commitment, then everything would run more smoothly and more relaxed. I can't compare it with other Schweinske's in Hamburg. I actually haven't had a bad experience yet. But breakfast was great, as always. At least that. 😊

We ate here with our entire company 4 days in a row. Ajim (hope I spelled him correctly) deserves more than 5 stars!! He looked after our entire team all by himself (!!!), was very courteous, always smiling and provided excellent service despite the far too few staff! We are very satisfied and will come back if we are in Hamburg again. At this point: best regards to you from the entire team :-)

Wir waren heute Nachmittag gegen 16:30 dort. Man hatte keine Privatsphäre und alle Sitze waren aneinander gequetscht. Um 17 Uhr wurden dann auch mal unsere Bestellungen aufgenommen nachdem wir mehrfach ignoriert wurden. Nach uns ist eine große Frauengruppe eingetrudelt. Wir warteten also bis wir um 17:50 bemerkten, dass die ganze Frauengruppe ihr essen bekam obwohl sie deutlich nach uns bestellt hatten. Wir hatten noch einen Folge Termin und fragten daher was mit unserem Essen passiert ist. Es hieß unsere Bestellung wurde mit dem der Frauengruppe abgegeben. 5 min später kam die Kellnerin wieder und sagte uns dass sie unsere Bestellung verloren hatten. Endfazit: Keine gute Ambiente und kein Überblick über seine Kunden.

Déjeuner en famille très bien. Menu du jour servi de 11h à 15h. Portions généreuses. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Viandes goûteuses et bien cuites. Service très agréable.

Nach über 30 Jahren mal wieder nen Schweinke aufgesucht. Ganz anderes Flair als in den 80zigern. Haben ne Kleinigkeit vor dem Towersspiel gegessen. Bedienung gut drauf, lief alles wie am Schnürchen. Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis gut. Kommen wieder!

Heute war mein erster Besuch bei Schweinske und ich war sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Ambiente ist toll. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Preise sind für die Portionen auch sehr angemessen. Alles in allem ein gelungener Besuch

Schweinske in Wilhelmsburg ist unser Lieblingsschweinske in Hamburg. Essen ist gut, Service ist gut, alles gut !!!

Immer eine gute Anlaufstelle für eine solide Grundlage vor dem Konzert. Der Service ist sehr gut und aufmerksam, das Bier ist lecker und das Essen ist frisch und schnell da. Für mich ist Schweinske der Ort wenn ich Lust auf ein gutes Schnitzel habe.

Unser Schweinske wird wieder super. Wir haben heute dort gegessen und es war wieder sehr lecker, im Gegensatz zu vor ein paar Wochen. Weiter so, dann kommen wir wieder häufiger. Heute möchte ich noch etwas hinzufügen. Wir waren jetzt schon öfter wieder zum Essen im Schweinske Wilhelmsburg. Es war immer sehr lecker, bezahlbar und die Atmosphäre dort ist auch wieder sehr gut. Das Servicepersonal insbesondere Britta, Rojin und Sarah und natürlich Roger sind klasse. Wir haben uns dort lange nicht mehr so wohl gefühlt. Also geht wieder hln.

Wir wollte Zeit vor dem Basketball Spiel überbrücken. Das war das einzige Restaurant, das wir finden konnten und wir waren über den sehr freundlichen Service überrascht.

Ich bin in vielen schweinske in Hamburg gewesen nirgends ist der Service so langsam wie dort kaum Gäste da trotzdem wartet man ewig auf den ersten Kaffee zum Frühstück dann nochmal halbe Ewigkeit bis zum Rest auf Anfrage wieso ja Entschuldigung ich bin alleine wie gesagt kaum bis gar keine Gäste dann waren sie zu 2 immernoch super langsam wenn mein Opa nicht etwas schwer hätte mit geghen würde ich da nie wieder hinkommen zu dem Reservierung für 7 telefonisch vereinbart war nicht existent einfach nur grottig
