We were there for lunch yesterday and were more than disappointed. We ordered a meat platter and a schnitzel with fries. The first piece was raw and had to be taken away by the server. When we cut into the schnitzel, blood was already running out because it wasn't cooked through. So we sent that back too. I found it amusing when the staff told us that there are always problems with the platters. The restaurant wasn't clean either. The floor was dirty, and it took a long time to be served.

The service was friendly. The food arrived quickly. The baked potato had only three small strips of turkey. That's rather cheeky. The "Hunter and Gatherer" schnitzel looked like Swiss cheese, and the sauce was far too little and not tasty at all; it tasted very artificial. Only non-alcoholic drinks were available. Is there something wrong with their liquor license? And this was during the Christmas season! In conclusion, this was our second time here, and we were not at all impressed. We'll be going back to Norderstedt in the future.

The ambiance is lovely and the food is tasty. However, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio isn't right. My portion of chicken breast with fries was quite small for €14. I wasn't asked which small salad I'd like to order, even though there was a selection on the menu. It would also be nice if the tables were wiped down. It's nice to have sugar served with black tea. It would also be preferable to have a soap dispenser in the restroom instead of that strange little soap packet. Toilet paper... My suggestion would be that management should really conduct a quality control check.

We had breakfast sandwiches. They were plentiful and delicious.

We were in town to buy a car and actually wanted to go to KFC, but thankfully we discovered Schweinske. Delicious schnitzel and very friendly service. 4 stars because my husband would have liked a beer, but unfortunately they didn't have any alcoholic drinks, but he survived. We would definitely eat there again.

We went to Henstedt-Ulzburg for breakfast today. I ordered a breakfast burger, but it was cooked and the sauce was gone. How can that happen? You're supposed to check that beforehand. Then it was freezing cold, the heating wasn't working, and the door wasn't properly closed. I can't understand why this place doesn't make any effort. We'd rather go to Schweinske in Hamburg.

The food was freshly prepared, and the staff was incredibly friendly and cheerful. It's definitely the best fast-food restaurant in the H-U business park.

I was refused a shandy with a reference to a note on the front door, without any further explanation! Then, by 8:00 PM, they had already run out of fried potatoes, so I ordered a baked potato to go with my "Hamburger Schnitzel," which arrived, but without the schnitzel. My wife and daughter had almost finished eating when I finally got my schnitzel. The substitute baked potato I ordered for the missing fried potatoes cost €5.50! Never again!

We were very disappointed. We ordered two burgers. The meat on both was completely raw and undercooked. As compensation, we received a credit of one drink (0.2 liters). That was the last time we ate there. Simply awful.

First of all, they couldn't serve beer at the restaurant because their license had expired. Then they didn't have the draft soda I usually enjoy at your place. Now, let's talk about the food. I had the Braumeister Schnitzel, which was really good. But the side dishes were a complete disaster. The cucumber salad looked like they'd just soaked sliced ​​cucumbers in water and served them like that. The fried potatoes were practically raw, dripping with grease. I told the server this, even though she can't be held responsible for what the kitchen does. It's strange how often the Henstedt-Ulzburg restaurant in your chain is so bad. The restaurants in Norderstedt or Hamburg Langenhorn are worlds better.

A complete disaster!!! I actually had to share a bread roll with my girlfriend. Thank goodness I wasn't with a stranger. Minimal portions and they didn't even have any shandy. They forgot to renew their liquor license... unacceptable for a restaurant! Thank goodness there are other nice Schweinske restaurants. A big thank you to the young man who served us. Never again! We were there at the end of October 2025, a group of four, for breakfast in the morning. It took a quarter of an hour just to take our order, and breakfast was served after a good half hour, even though the place was practically empty. We also found it strange that there were small notes on the tables stating that no alcoholic drinks could be served at the moment, without any reason being given! There was also no music playing, as is usually the case. Overall, the portions were also smaller than usual in other Swiss restaurants. In conclusion, there's a lot of room for improvement.

The person suddenly disappeared from the restaurant for almost 10 minutes, even though there were two of them. The staff was also completely overwhelmed.

Terrible! Are they on the verge of bankruptcy, or what was going on? They actually forgot (!!) to renew their liquor license! So we had to drink a Spezi today because there was no beer with our meal. Speaking of "food": In the past, a basket with 2-4 rolls was always placed on the table, but now a pathetic, haggard single piece was left for us. I then asked if they were serious about the two of us having to share the roll. The answer was "Yes... two people only get one roll." That brings back memories of the ration cards in the GDR... HORRID! Regarding portion sizes: The farmer's breakfast is getting smaller and smaller, these days it's only good for filling a hollow tooth... but it has ZERO to do with a filling meal. So...Schweinske has lost two more customers (who have been loyal for over 30 years). I'm not going to stand by and watch such a disgrace any longer. Then they should close the store, but that was embarrassing and just pathetic, downright embarrassing!

A very nice, relaxed shop, where the service is very friendly. Great food at a good price, and you'll be well-fed. I enjoy coming back to this shop again and again.

Today I went to dinner with my family at Schweinske in Henstedt-Ulzburg. We usually enjoy going there because the kids always find something to eat. Today everything was different. It started with the fact that they weren't allowed to serve alcoholic beverages today. Not the end of the world, but it still left a strange aftertaste. Unfortunately, the table wasn't clean and was only wiped down briefly after being asked to. The ordered food was then brought out incorrectly. The sauce for the pasta was supposed to come separately, but unfortunately, it was already on the food, and not a little bit (it was floating). Parmesan cheese was forgotten, and when we called to let them know, the server forgot the order from the table to the kitchen and had to ask again what was missing. Unfortunately, the meat in the cheeseburger wasn't cooked through. After we told the server this, after a brief consultation with the kitchen, she told us that Schweinske always does it this way, and if we wanted to change it, we would have to wait a little longer. The fries tasted of old grease. The portions felt even smaller today than usual. My mixed grill was more like a small mixed grill. The staff weren't in a good mood today either. They seemed overwhelmed and were unfriendly. Two servers brought the food and drinks to the tables but didn't clear them away, and the third took everything and billed them. This meant everything took a bit longer. Today's conclusion: Unfortunately, this was the last time we ate there for a while.

We were there on October 10, 2025. We ordered two oat milk lattes. Our lattes arrived, and the milk in the coffee was flaky and spoiled. We then ordered cow's milk lattes. Unfortunately, the foam was ice-cold and the coffee tasted stale. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, we were still charged for the cold latte. The server seemed unsure but tried hard. Unfortunately, the best days are apparently over. What a shame!

*** Update 10/3/25 We tried lunch here today, after having breakfast last time and thinking it couldn't be that different from other Schweinske branches. Unfortunately, we were disappointed (again). One of the two waitresses was very rude, constantly interrupting you, and seemed to know everything better. THAT was really unpleasant!!!! The other waitress, on the other hand, was friendly and helpful, which we would like to mention positively. I know my dish from Schweinske Norderstedt, but the taste and quality were unfortunately worlds apart. It's a shame, but we definitely won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend the restaurant. ************** Unfortunately, the waitress was the only one in the store that day. So everything dragged on, and we didn't get much service. The lady tried very hard, but couldn't handle the crowd on her own. Breakfast was okay. Unfortunately, the side dishes were a bit old. The salad was very stale... We'll go to a different Schweinske next time.

October 4, 2025. What a disastrous place... the good years are over. It used to be a great breakfast spot. Orders were taken incorrectly several times. Items on the menu were no longer available at 10 a.m. Pages were missing from the menu. The shop was dirty. The latte is half the size it was in years past. Staff are overwhelmed with just a few customers in the restaurant. How can you drive a concept like this into the ground?

I highly recommend it; I especially loved the relaxed, informal atmosphere.

The food was delicious, as you'd expect from Schweinske. Service was also good. Sitting outside, right by the parking lot, was a bit hectic, but OK. Currently, no alcohol is being served, so the menu is very clear and has been taped.

We didn't even get to eat because we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to serve us. That took too long, so we moved on.

Unfortunately, the service is completely understaffed. The dishes are left sitting forever. You have to go to the waiter to pay.

I'm personally very disappointed. My neck steak was very fatty, there was a bit of oil on the plate, and I personally found the herb butter quite tasteless. I went there with my family for lunch yesterday. I ordered a cheeseburger. However, the meat on the inside of the cheeseburger was still raw. See picture. So I just ate the fries and everything else. I left the meat alone. Additionally, the fries were very blandly seasoned for my taste. The bread, greens, and ketchup on the cheeseburger weren't great either. My father ordered a salad with chicken. According to him, the meat wasn't cooked well either. I don't see the point in chasing the "chef" just to tell him/her that he/she did a terrible job. The prices are too high for the catastrophically poor quality. You might as well just run to McDonald's or the nearest kebab shop. At least you'll get better quality there. Never again.

Unfortunately, not every pork sausage is the same. I love the lemonades, but ours felt like just Fanta with a dash of syrup. Normally, they add fruit and make the whole thing with a bit more attention to detail. That was kind of a disappointment.

The service was nice, there's no other way to describe it. To start with, there was a dip with a kind of roll. The roll was already a bit sticky, and the dip wasn't homemade. It just wasn't my taste. It reminded me of tartar sauce with mustard. The main course was okay. The fried potatoes, although thin and pale, were quite hard. The Canadian schnitzel was unusual but tasty. I liked the coleslaw. The turkey schnitzel didn't taste of anything, just breadcrumbs. Schweinske is just a system restaurant, you know that. But somehow it's too expensive for that these days.

Very, very tasty, the kids always love it. The service is excellent and always very friendly.

New review from August 30th, 2025, a disaster! If you have friends you want to get rid of, go here. First of all, the schnitzel was great, the salad was good, the fries were good, but the amount was equivalent to a McDonald's small portion of fries. The reason given was too many fries in the fryer and the fat cooled down too much, which is true but you then have to wait so long until a decent portion is possible. The dessert, caramel with espresso, was a disaster, the caramel was so cold, it should have been ice cream, espresso not possible because the machine was broken, as an alternative there was a coffee, OK you can make it, but please no coffee that is as cold as the one from my thermos from yesterday. Duckstein is unfortunately out, there was no cutlery at the next table, and there were no drinks. There was also a hamburger schnitzel with egg, but the egg was missing and was replaced at some point, is that even possible? At the next table, customers wanted to leave the restaurant because their food hadn't arrived. According to the waiter, there were only three-quarter rolls for two people, which was Schweinske's instruction. Strangely, at the next table, there were two rolls for two customers. Today, it was really hard to get used to it. It's a shame because the schnitzel was absolutely fantastic. Apparently, nothing has changed for the better in the last two years; there's simply not enough staff on site.

I ordered food through Lieferando today at 7:20 p.m. After about two hours, I called again. The food was supposed to be on its way. I still haven't received it at 10:50 p.m. I hope I at least get my money back. 😡

We were there today after a long time, and we have to say, we haven't had such a good meal in a long time. The service this evening was also very good. When we asked the waitress, we were told that some restructuring was taking place, which was noticeable today, both in the kitchen... and in the service. Some time ago, we also had the experience that some of the service staff were very overwhelmed and moody. Today, there were no long waits...! We hope they continue to work on it and that the standard remains. We always loved coming here when we were/are visiting Grandpa!!!

I've been there three times now with my partner and sometimes the kids. The last two times were truly a disaster. One time, they ran out of various things; ordered drinks didn't arrive at the table in full or only in broken glasses. We had to wait forever for the menu, the drinks, the food, and the bill. The staff was completely overwhelmed and understaffed, so we had to constantly ask for more. This unfortunately continued the third time. Furthermore, the table hadn't been cleared yet. It's a real shame, especially since the food is actually good, and I've had much better service at other branches, like Stellingen. The service urgently needs to be improved—including with competent and "sighted" employees. We won't be going there again.

The Schweinske in Henstedt-Ulzburg is back...for a while, the food wasn't what you'd expect, and the wait times were definitely too long... But all that is forgotten, the service is fast and extremely friendly, and the food is once again delicious.

After Aldi and Co close the parking lot is quiet

We ate there once due to the need for an empty fridge. Vouchers from the newspaper at the ready, and off we went. 2x schnitzel with fries and a fried egg. The service was friendly, when it was there. There were 5 customers in total in the restaurant. But despite that, everything took a long time. As I said, very polite and friendly with repeated apologies, but questionable how the service works when it's busy. The restaurant is in the heart of Henstedt's commercial/shopping district. Sitting outside was possible, but eating in a parking lot during the week was quite tiring. The food itself was okay. Crispier and more attractively presented would have been nice, but 2 for the price of 1 is good and less to complain about. A solid grade of 3, but not for a date or anything like that. We'll definitely stop by for a coffee after shopping.

On August 3rd, we stopped by for dinner. Two ladies were serving. Then, around 5 p.m., only one waitress remained, and she was doing a great job handling a packed restaurant. I don't know what happened to make her alone, but kudos to that lady. It's rare to find such dedicated young people these days.

Things are getting worse from time to time. The service staff are sometimes completely overwhelmed, very unfriendly, and seem stressed. Wait times are sometimes very long. Simple requests, like a sugar shaker, are forgotten. Even though the store wasn't nearly as busy. The food is still good.

The second time, it felt like half the food and drinks were missing, and we had to change our minds several times. (My guess is the server took a basket left over from others, because I'm used to them containing ketchup and mayo.) Incidentally, the leftover bread arrived at the same time as the meal. The portion was very meager, but the taste was okay. A side salad, more dressing than salad. My dessert was delicious. My friend got the Belgian waffle, with cold cherries instead of hot raspberries. When they were briefly heated, my friend noticed that the waffle was spoiled. She returned it, of course, and the manager then agreed to deduct it from the bill. Well, honestly, that's the least I could do! "Can I offer you an alternative, an espresso on the house?" or something or something... Something like that would have been nice. But nothing came. So, thank you, no. Never again! I usually like going to Schweinske! But never again to Henstedt Ulzburg!

Today I was at Schweinske with my girlfriend; I had invited her there for her birthday. When I arrived, there were still dirty dishes on many of the tables. This included the table I had chosen. I thought it would probably be cleared and wiped down soon. The restaurant was relatively empty, but we still had to wait almost 30 minutes before we got a menu. We were asked straight away if we already knew what we wanted to eat and drink. We ordered drinks and said we'd take a quick look at the food, as we didn't know the menu by heart... When, after another 20 minutes, no drinks had arrived, we asked another waitress, who then made sure we finally got something to drink. We then ordered our food straight away. We then asked if they had run out of bread with dip—oh yes, I forgot. We got it at the same time as the food. The bread basket looked like we'd gotten leftovers from other customers; it was a joke. Two small end pieces with dip. We've definitely seen it differently from other Schweinske restaurants! By the way, the table wasn't cleared until after we received our food; it wasn't wiped at all. Since the portion was unfortunately relatively small, we ordered dessert. I had the Belgian waffle with hot raspberries, but they were out of raspberries. I then said cherries would be okay too. Unfortunately, the cherries weren't hot, so I had to call the waiter again. The sauce was then reheated. Unfortunately, the waffle wasn't edible; it tasted sour, like it had been fermented. I had to send the dessert back. It was then removed from the bill, which is normal for me. Conclusion: poor service, excessively long wait times, and unsatisfactory quality and quantity of food. It was noticeable that the dirty dishes on the other tables also remained there for ages. If guests sit down there, they should at least clear and wipe the tables promptly. The younger waitress was at least very friendly and helpful. The restrooms were clean, but the hand soap was empty. We probably won't eat there again.

Friendly staff, and once your order is taken, it's quick. Until then, you'll have to be patient. We had a fantastic schnitzel with Camembert and fries, which tasted 5*, and the farmer's breakfast, which was a maximum of 1*.

We ordered through Lieferando. Unfortunately, we were disappointed again. Ordered extra ingredients were ignored. The Hamburger Schnitzel comes with a fried egg, so we ordered a second one for €1.80 (the second one was missing). We also ordered the Camembert Schnitzel, but the cranberry jam was missing. This is the third time something has been missing. Calling is pointless, as no one at the restaurant feels responsible for the phone. We ordered almost €50, and we didn't even get everything. Definitely not recommended 👎

Well, that was the very last time we'll eat there. For €22.50, you can at least expect hot and well-cooked food. Raw meat and water under the fried potatoes is truly the worst. The meat was taken off my plate and put on the grill for the second time... Excuse me? Where do we live? The second dish was a pork schnitzel; we had ordered turkey schnitzel... and paid a surcharge. (A real mess). As compensation, a glass of KIBA... lol. This place should really be closed down. M.P

If things don't improve, I'll reduce it further. :-( - I was there again in July 2025. After being quite good recently, we were very disappointed today. I wouldn't recommend going there at the moment. The Caesar schnitzel on offer didn't have a grilled romaine lettuce center, but rather a sandy lettuce leaf with lots of onions. The fries weren't crispy. The veggy lime punch consisted mostly of soggy fries. It will probably be a long time before we dare to go there again.

As always, it was very good and plentiful. Thank you for the great service. Also, a big thank you to the bar staff for letting me set up my laptop and work in a pleasant atmosphere. If I'm ever in that area again, I'll definitely stop by again.

For virtually every dish or drink I wanted to order, an ingredient was unavailable. I was asked if I wanted my Caesar salad with a different dressing. The iced tea was out of raspberries. Vinegar and oil on salad were also out of the question. Intolerances and ingredients were foreign to the waiter. The card reader didn't accept my debit card. To sum it up: a real disappointment, and I will certainly never go there again. Oh, and the prices are outrageous and completely out of all proportion to what they offer. Once and NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Just a chain restaurant, nothing special

I wanted to have an iced coffee there, as described on the menu. I got the iced coffee without cream, and the waitress tried to convince me that the cream wasn't part of it. Then the iced coffee was piping hot, so the vanilla ice cream had already melted by the time I got the iced coffee to the table. I told the waitress that you usually use cold coffee for iced coffee. She said they didn't have cold coffee. I just said that if they didn't have it, they shouldn't offer such a product! The shop also ran out of regular filter coffee at lunch, even though it was also stated on the menu. That doesn't even deserve a star, but I have to give one.

Unfortunately, the service was truly unbelievably terrible. My daughter wanted mayonnaise with her fries. Despite asking three times, they weren't able to provide any. They said they didn't have time.

We've been to Schweinske in HU a few times now. The food is always good, although the fries on our last visit could have benefited from a little longer in the fryer. Unfortunately, the table was dirty on the last two visits and was only cleaned after we pointed it out. The service was rather inattentive, and the dishes could use some replacing (chipped plates, discolored glasses). What's really unfortunate is that this Schweinske doesn't have a Miss Piggy for adults. I've seen it differently at other restaurants. Adults have to pay a little more there, but they can get half a pig. The reason given was that it doesn't make economic sense. But then half the food is left uncooked is also a shame. We'll definitely be back, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Definitely recommended. Price-performance ratio is reasonable, and the food is delicious. We went there twice for dinner. If I'm ever in Henstedt again, this would be my first choice.

Not all Schweinske restaurants are created equal. The service was excellent, but the food tastes better at any snack bar... The asparagus on the day was good, though.

Asparagus with schnitzel The potatoes were cold, the asparagus was hard when cold, and the ends were brown, the schnitzel was lukewarm and had probably been deep-fried beforehand. The day we visited, it wasn't busy, and our ordered food arrived super quickly. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was more modern than at other Schweinske's. Plenty of parking is available in front. It's located in an industrial park with many other businesses. We had a morning grouch with scrambled eggs instead of boiled eggs and a Mrs. Schweinske burger without onions. No problem at all. The breakfast menu is extensive, including brunch. There's something for everyone. Everything is affordable, though it's also gotten a bit more expensive, like everything else.

This time not so great, we had reserved a table to celebrate my father's 70th, but when we arrived it was occupied by other people because the staff had forgotten to put up a reserved sign. Then the drinks arrived and two of them didn't taste as ordered, the waiter looked again and realized the syrup was all gone, so why am I still offering it? My brother-in-law's food was only lukewarm. According to my brother-in-law, if the staff don't forget to tick off the list, the toilets were last cleaned in April. One of the employees tried to limit the damage, which was the only good thing this time.

My family and I had lunch there after my birthday. It was fantastic overall. Not too crowded. We had a great time chatting. The food was amazing and delicious. We'd love to come back again. Keep up the good work.

It's probably very busy there during the week. But on Sundays, when everything else is closed, it's truly very relaxed. You're practically sitting in a parking lot, but the peace and quiet makes up for it. The food is, as usual at Schweinske, delicious. The staff was super friendly and the service was super fast. I highly recommend it.

The service is so unmotivated. To clear it up, you have to visit the 3 service people after 30 minutes so that someone gets the idea to clear it up. Meanwhile new guests are waiting outside to death. The store is almost empty!!! Service is different. This force can be exchanged without hesitation. Can only be better. Very unfortunate. Quality of the food was questionable. It's not a 4 star, of course. But the grill around the corner can do it better.

Arrived 9:52am. We 2 people were seated at a table of 6 due to lack of space. At around 10:12 we were able to order the drinks. Unfortunately we were then moved because a group of 6 came. The table at the new place wobbled so badly that we couldn't eat there, but luckily another table became available. After about 30 minutes the drinks came. What's missing is milk, sugar and a spoon, which you don't need because there's no sugar or milk. After 50 minutes we were finally allowed to order our food after asking. The meal was pretty quick. 11:02 a.m. we can eat. Unfortunately the coffee is almost empty. As always at Schweinske, the food itself was delicious. Finally, it should be said that around 75% of the store was closed off due to a larger celebration. So there was a lot to do.

Picked up some food today. Portions much smaller than usual. Baked potatoes and steaks dry. Unfortunately it's not the first time. We don't go there anymore.

We like coming here. Also with our granddaughter.
